I’ve been watching the sign go up for TasteBuddz near Wayfield Foods on Columbia Drive for a while now and was so excited to see a new Black-owned spot in the neighborhood. I actually tried to make it for breakfast twice before and missed the window, but the third time was definitely the charm. The food was delicious and the space is so warm and cozy. I don't totally get the pineapple decor, but it’s very inviting nonetheless. The customer service is top tier too. I was greeted with a huge welcome before I even got all the way through the door. The best part? They have a display of pinned receipts for prepaid meals to help feed the hungry. That kind of charity is amazing to see. I’ll definitely be back!

I had the best experience here. My friends and I wanted to go somewhere to eat. I looked online and found this place on Instagram. I saw some of the food and immediately wanted to go. The nine of us got to the place and started ordering. The owner thanked us for coming and she was extremely nice. Then after about 7 minutes of waiting, the first person’s place came out. After we got our food we left to go eat. Everyone agreed that the food was amazing. I personally got a Beef Astronaut Burger with Chicken Mac & Cheese. I will definitely be coming back after my next visit.

This is such a good place to eat at. I got the loaded fries and my friend got the chicken Alfredo. It was so so good. I’m definitely gonna come back. It definitely gets five stars!!!

Hey fam, got another gem for you!!! Tastesbuddz is a must check out!! I got the seafood pineapple bowl, OMG!!! From the first bite it was bursting with flavor!!! I have never steered you guys wrong, do yourself a favor and see for yourself!!! They have specials and healthy portions!!!!

Very meh. The wings were small, almost too small. I ordered honey hot and lemon pepper. The lp was standard fare and I'm fairly certain that I got a mix of sweet chili, mild, and honey for the others. The fries were good though. Crispy and seasoned without being hard. F&L

OMG!!! the presentation of this take out food is absolutely amaaaazing!!! I ordered the rice bowl with salmon and I was NOT disappointed!!! The salmon was perfectly seasoned, rice was FULL of flavor with the sauteed onions and broccoli. Every bite was totally delicious! The tastebuddz sauce was sweet and had kick, a must try. The mango lemonade was very sweet, but flavorful. If you're not diabetic I would say it's worth every sip!...LOL..The ambiance was lovely, decorated with pineapples everywhere and it was a worm and friendly place to congregate.The person who took my order was courteous and helpful about making suggestions. Be prepared for a wait because the food is made fresh to order, but rest assured it will be worth the wait!

Got my order wrong had to return to store to complain ! Wait was over 40 minutes!!! Do NOT RECOMMEND!! Children was over the register underage to crying and complaining over while i was making my order ! 0/10 go some else yall !!!

For quick a stop shop for lunch, this is the perfect spot! Servers are beyond friendly and helpful. The place is fairly clean, with a cute instagram art worthy corner. As for food, wings are truly exquisite, tons of variety for sauces, and the fries were amazing - super crunchy! Also, portions are huge, definitely worth the price. My next trip to Atlanta, I'll be sure to stop by again.

First visit was pretty good. FYI the location is the plaza of Wayfield grocery and the hours of operation are incorrect on here. We arrived about 20mins before opening time at 12pm and were very first orders of the day. Cashier extremely nice and helpful and food was ready in 15 mins. I really like how they have a buzzer system and you can order together and pay separately so that group orders ready at the same time. Salmon griller rice bowl with cheese, all veggies and shrimp - phenomenal! The food was well seasoned and flavorful. Rice was perfect and that Taste Bud sauce set it off! They only give one small container of sauce so just pay for extra one it's almost required lol. My sister tried the Steak Pineapple Griller with spinach, mushrooms and cheese. The pineapple also isn't really palatable just for decoration and it costs more. The packaging for the pineapple bowls are not suitable for traveling so I would strongly urge owners to find alternative packaging options. We both tried the pineapple lemonade and agreed it was not that great as the TikTok made it look lol. It is definitely just koolaid/lemonade with no lemon. Our meals were about $20 each with tax so it wasn't bad on the wallet and having quality food. Unfortunately we were so hangry so there wasn't much time for a photo shoot lol If I am on this side of town and want non- fast food I will return, but I'm not going out of my way for it unfortunately.

Food so fye!!!!! Then this lemonade....I don't know what's in but as soon as you take a sip that's over with. Like 100/10 I recommend. Had the wing plate and pineapple bowl and it's A-1.

This place gives me tropical vibes! I had been hearing about the pineapple grilled and when I went on their ig and saw I could eat out of a pineapple I had to try it! It did not disappoint! I got rice, salmon, onions, bell peppers, pineapple, cheese, with a shrimp skewer placed on top... eat was absolutely delicious! We had to wait almost an hour for it but with the covid-19 times going on I'm practicing patience. It was worth the wait and I will definitely be going back for another pineapple Griller! Oh and their customer service was excellent. You gotta check out my pics!

I had to see the hype about the Pineapple!!! Oh MY!!! First, the customer service was a delight. She kindly waited and worked with me on my order. I ordered the pineapple bowl rice and loaded the toppings. I had everything but mushrooms!! Lol The wait was reasonable. As I ordered upon entry. Once I got home and dived in. I couldn't stop eating!!!!! The surprise pineapple bites, the melted mozzarella glazed over my green peppers, broccoli, carrots, rice- you could not interrupt me!!! And I greedily finished the whole thing. Absolute recommended!!! Thank you Tastebuddz for the experience and terrific service!! Look forward to my return to Decatur so I can visit again!!

I had the pleasure of getting lunch from here yesterday and I must say that I was truly impressed. I built a pasta bowl with salmon, broccoli, mushrooms and extra cheese. It had FLAVA!!!!!! These people are not playing with those perfect spices. Then just to make the experience all around awesome, the lady running the front was truly delightful. She was very sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. I look forward to my next and many more visits

I've been wanting to visit this spot for some time now. I'm very mindful of how and who I send my money with. I especially do my best to support black business in Decatur, but I won't support a business that doesn't appreciate its customers. I would like to start off by saying the customer service was great. The lady at the counter could tell it was my first time there so she went over the menu and made recommendations. Ultimately I settled on Shrimp Grillers. I waited about 10 minute for my food-typical. The disappointment came about when I got my food. Immediately I noticed my food was put in a to go container that was turned upside down minimizing the amount of food I got. To make matters worst the container was one of the smaller sizes used for lunch portions- eye roll!! It came with 4 medium size shrimp, a boat load of cheese, veggies and 1 cup of cooked riced. Which means I had to cook dinner after going out to buy dinner. I read the reviews but still decided to give them a try. Unfortunately I won't be going back. I understand that businesses need to make a profit but I don't like feeling that Im being taken advantage of in regards to the way they're manipulating the portion sizes.

Food was good service was good, no complaints. Try it out! I would go again My wife loved it!

When you pull up the parking lit looks deserted and you think you might be in the wrong place, but do not be discourage. The food is great. Good southern cooking family business and you will go back

Let me start this off by saying that I'm really impressed! My order: Pineapple bowl with rice, shrimp, lobster tail, and lamb with the veggies. Pineapple bowl with Mac n' cheese, shrimp, lobster tail , lamb and veggies. Presentation: The presentation is amazing. It makes you want to take pictures of it. When you see it, it makes you think, "I gotta have that!" Pricing: The prices were very reasonable and they give you a lot! Meat Texture: The lamb, shrimp and lobster tail was perfectly cooked. It was not to tender nor undercooked. The consistency of flavors: Everything went great together! The entire bowl was seasoned to a perfection. Have you ever had a bowl where when you get to the bottom it gets too salty or loses flavor? Well they didn't miss on that. It was consistent throughout. Customer Service: The customer service was top of the line. They made suggestions and was very helpful. They were very sweet! IF YOU EVER COME TO ATLANTA, STOP BY DECATUR AND TRY TATSEBUDDZ. THIS PLACE IS A MUST!

Overall the food was amazing! I had the Salmon and Chicken Pineapple Rice bowl with veggies with the pineapple lemonade! The customer service could have been better, it wasn't bad but I have to mention that!

Soooooooooo good. I've been three times, taken my dad and my uncle and we all love it. Bomb food and service. If you go definitely try the mango sherbet lemonade and the salmon and shrimp pineapple grillers.

Baked wings are the best out of all the flavors in my opinion. Also the shrimp fettuccine in the pineapple bowl is .. YES. The fries needed seasoning but you can literally fix that with ketchup. The mixed vegetables (side order) BUSSIN' and please try the pineapple lemonade you won't regret it.

Service is amazing cute little spot I believe the food is Definitely Overpriced and Overrated ... I believe they used canned salmon it was chopped up instead of a whole piece of fillet but it definitely wasn't fresh the portion are a bit small for the asking price my rice was under cooked and over cooked at the same time IDK HOW THATS POSSIBLE... Delish! I'm so glad I decided to take the drive and try this one-of-a-kind hidden GEM. After reading the YELP reviews about the location and area, I will admit I was a little skeptical and apprehensive to drive to that side of Atlanta. However, once I arrived it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be or the way my fellow Yelpers painted it to be. The Pineapple Food concept and decor was absolutely ADORABLE! I was really impressed with the Owner's Customer Service and Professionalism. I told her it was my first time at the Restaurant and she explained the Menu in detail and also told me she created and perfected all of the recipes. I ordered the Grilled Wings which were Yuuuuuummy! They were small just the way I like them and perfectly seasoned. The Salmon, Shrimp, Broccoli Griller topped with Mozzarella presented in a Pineapple was PHENOMENAL and definitely worth the drive. The menu has a wide selection of Grilled Meats and Veggies. They also offer Grilled or Fried Wings and a extensive list of sauces for your food....which is a rarity nowadays for To-Go/Fast Food Restaurants. Lastly, kudos to the Owner! She was Sweet, Gracious, Customer Oriented and Personable. I will DEFINITELY go back to TASTEBUDDZ to support this Young, Motivated, Gifted Black Business Owner with very Tasty, Quality Food!

I'm in love! I've tried everything but the wings, although I did sneak a wing from my daughter's plate. Everything is delicious and I absolutely adore the staff - the three young ladies are pleasant, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great; both times I took my grands, they danced, took pics, enjoyed the food and had a ball!

I don't come to the east side of Atlanta very often but my friend convinced me to come this new spot...so I came an I was very impressed by the warm welcome as I entered the establishment an also the great southern hospitality..I love the art on the wall...I ordered the pineapple rice bowl with chicken an all the veggies topped with cheese an also ordered the juice...I will definitely be back to try the pasta next time....the owner is a great lady an a hard worker....

What a gem to find in the Atlanta,GA area!!! My friend and I drove to ATL from Columbia for a quick little shopping trip. We had to discuss th lunch plans on the way. She said she saw something interesting on a certain someone's Instagram. I saw the pictures and it looked so good. We had made a decision. On the way home we stopped by. It wasn't too crowded when we came late that afternoon. We both ordered the to go style pineapple bowls. It comes with rice...but I'm on a low carb kick so I asked for it to be omitted from mine. I tried the steak onions mushrooms and peppers bowl and some mango spicy wings. The Restaurant: It's located in a strip mall with ample parking. There is a little bit of seating, but it's probably mostly geared for to go or carry out orders. We waited while our food was freshly prepared. Didn't take too long. We took some Pics with their instagram board while we waited. The food : oh my goodness. Go! Go today if you can!! They are open every day except Sundays. It was well seasoned. Wings are normal sized and not on steroids :) Everything was delicious. I posted pics go take a look. People: The owner is really sweet. Very nice and appreciative of your business. The other ladies were nice as well. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. I will be back! I'll come back to Georgia and plan some stuff to do just so I can eat here. I'll try the pineapple next time. Menu AND licensing was displayed on the wall.

Wow me and my friend are so in love with this place! We will definitely be back. Both of us had the pineapple pasta bowls and they were amazing. Nya is so sweet, she kept checking up on us as we were eating outside. Just making sure we had everything we needed. Love it here!

I was in the area for work and I had stop by to visit one of my favorite spots I must say the food was greatand also the customer service was great they always make me feel like family..

I agree with another reviewer about the health score not being great at an 80. I decided to try them anyway. The concept is novel so I give them an A for effort.This is a 'to go' spot so I ordered all veggies in a pineapple to go. It was nicely wrapped and the food was good. But, I tasted only a few pineapples, so I imagine that it's more about presentation. I also don't feel the food is worth the cost, especially considering the location. Also ordered a burger, it was nothing like the photos I saw. The meat was so small it mostly looked like just bread and condiments. The wing flavors seemed interesting on the menu but doubt if I return.

I had the Pineapple Shrimp Griller. I love how everything is made fresh to order. The pineapple was sweet so that was nice and the portion was great. I do wish that the skewer had a couple more pieces of shrimp on the because they were seasoned so well. I also had the pineapple lemonade and that was a little on the sweet side but I'd order it again and again. Overall I'd be back here again to try their wings. Such a cute place a decor. Pineapple everything!!! I also love pineapples!!!

I totally enjoyed my wings and rice from this place it was pretty pricey but overall different. I didn't care for my rice with my chicken wings I should have just did fries. I do want to try the pineapple and rice. Overall this place was good and even more convenient because it was right around the corner from home. I will recommend this place but you must be ready for the 45 min wait. I was told by one of the employees that it's better call in your order. Also, forgot to mention the wings were small.

Food was ok. Ordered fries with spinach, mushroom, shrimp and mozzarella. Fries were over done and pretty dry. Only 4 pieces of shrimp. The lemonade with the mango slush was really good! 3 stars for the lemonade!!

Had the pleasure of trying TasteBuddz out during Yelp Restaurant Week. Had not heard of this place before but wishing I had. I've obviously been missing out on some things. TasteBuddz Atl is located in a humble shopping center (w/a Wayfields grocery) close to the intersection of Columbia Drive & Glenwood Road. There is signage above the restaurant entrance. Don't recall seeing it on the shopping center's signage. Just know that it's there. It's a small establishment that could seat maybe 10-12 people tops. I imagine they get a lot of take-out orders. Customer service was really great! I was greeted promptly after entering. The young lady was very helpful and patient since this was my first visit. She walked me thru their ordering process and gave me a some recommendations since I was a first-timer. I decided to go all the way and get a pineapple griller w/chicken, peppers, broccoli, cheese and the TasteBuddz sauce on the side. I also was easily persuaded to try the pineapple lemonade. So good!! Let me discuss the pineapple griller. This is something I'd expect to see on the menu at an island resort situated right off the beach with a slight warm breeze brushing my face. Um...yes. It's time for a vacation. But I digress. This dish was really good! It's served up in a half portion of a pineapple. Cool presentation. And it's seasoned well. And the sauce was tasty too! The pineapple lemonade w/italian ice was the bomb-diggity!! Can't wait to get this on one of our hot summer (or spring) days.

This place is pretty unique by menu. Definitely a must try. I didn't get the opportunity to try the actual food though. I purchased it 45 minutes before closing , prep time we were told was 30 min, then the establishment closed. I live a hour away and trying to call to speak with someone to work it out is a pain thus far. So still try my foodies, just arrive early as heck and ask for a receipt. It was not automatically given in my case only at request. Either way money lost, no foodie experience for me. But the hunt continues for the good eats. Thanks for reading.

Not sure if the cashier was having a bad day or not... there was a lot of eye rolling going on between her and other staff. I had several things that I ordered, instead of bringing everything out at once it was coming out as they finished. I had the shrimp griller which was salty and too much cheese for my liking and only had four pieces of shrimp. The wings and even the fries were pretty tasty. Other than that, I would say that I would try them once more

I am so happy I found this place! My husband got off of work and I said, "babe, I have a new place to try!" Of course he was a little bit skeptical, because who wants to try something new??? From the time I walked into the restaurant it was small, but the aroma made my mouth water. I glanced over the menu for a few moments before ordering the Shrimp Griller for myself and the salmon griller for my husband. Neither of us got the pineapple but I can only imagine how good that is! The food was on point! Very flavorful and in my opinion the portion sizes as perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some flavor! And the young lady working in the front was very polite and I'm glad she recommended the pineapple lemonade because that was amazing too!

Found this place on yelp. Called in an order and it was ready when I arrived. I ordered a salmon with broccoli and onions with rice. I was asked about adding cheese on top. Let's just say an amazing addition. I enjoyed my meal and will be ordering again. If you are looking for something new it is a great place for to go food.

OMGosh! I wasn't ready. The food was A-mazing! I had the regular rice bowl with salmon, fully loaded with veggies and the tastebuddz sauce. 5 star indeed!

I happened to stop by to work with a client on some paperwork. Only ordered the peach lemonade. It was absolutely delicious!! Was not able to order food but babe....I will definitely be back!!! The food looked amazing coming from the kitchen!! The bowls were so huge the girl couldn't even close them right!!! OMG!!!

All I can say is I'm so glad you are down the street from me. After I eat this good Caribbean food, I need to walk it off. I will be back. Alana is a sweetheart, she's very attentive to her customers and makes sure they are having the best experience. Sweet TNT. Pineapples does the body GOOD.

Small hidden gem. Wings are great. They do a crazy pineapple bowl thing. Lots of veggies which you don't see often. Food takes a while to get to you but hey, it's made to order! Better food for you. They have a wheel spin to get free stuff. I got a high 5!

This is my second visit and TasteBuddz will likely be my go1to lunch spot. The lamb and lobster was beyond delicious. The serving was more than a mouth for one person. Will be back next weekend!
