We ordered the Blueberry Earl Grey cake online and the whole process was super seamless, from ordering to pickup. The 8-inch size was perfect for our group of 12 with some leftovers too! The cake was absolutely delicious, the Earl Grey flavor was rich and fragrant without being overpowering, and the blueberries were huge and added the perfect balance. The flavor combo was unique and such a hit with everyone. Will definitely be ordering again!

I got a Bluey custom cake for my niece and she absolutely loved it. I got the strawberry vanilla cake. This one is 6” diameter and 3” tall. Honestly all of their cakes (custom, regular, petite) are always beautiful and always delicious. They are always too pretty to eat but too delicious to not devour! And they also have a bunch of other delicious desserts too.

I ordered a baby gender reveal cake! This cake is delicious and beautiful! Katrina is the best! She was very accommodating to my different requests. I also ordered the assorted cupcakes and they were also very delicious! Everyone at the event really enjoyed the cake and cupcakes. Everything turned out so beautiful and most importantly tasty. Ordered the 8" Blueberry Earl Grey Naked Cake for a double birthday bash. It was amazing! Presentation was beautiful, and the cake was super fluffy, light, not too sweet. Everyone basically inhaled the cake. Highly recommend.

We ordered custom cupcakes for our engagement party and some people said they were the best cupcakes they’ve ever eaten! They were fluffy with creamy icing and some strawberry filling. The design was very similar to my inspo pictures as well - they looked amazing for my theme. They delivered on time and in great condition. I’m so glad I ordered from here!

First time ordering a custom cake from Taste Creme and LOVED every part of the process. It was so cool to see a search bar for cake inspo on the site itself or an option to upload your own pictures. The owner then messages you for any questions regarding the design and the cake I ordered was absolutely perfect and came out exactly to my vision. She was so communicative and the pickup instructions were very clear. I had such a sweet conversation with her at the cafe as well. Will be ordering all my cakes from her now. Taste Creme by far the best! I was introduced about over 6 years ago. And have been a loyal - FOREVER LOYAL customer! All time favorite is the lychee raspberry rose. This was also my wedding cake. The owner + baker + everyone is so kind and helpful. The cakes are perfect fluffy light delicate and beautiful. And most importantly the taste is MIND BLOWING and they are consistent! Love the cupcakes here - it my forever go to when it's a celebration or birthday

I had ordered their cakes before and my partner decided to order one this year for my birthday. I ordered the 4 in blueberry earl grey online for pickup in store. The pickup was a breeze and it was boxed up nicely and even came with two forks. This cake was truly one of the best cakes I've had all year. The blueberries were fresh and crunchy and the earl grey cream had an extremely fragrant milk tea flavor. The cake was moist and it was the perfect size to share with another person. I will definitely be back again to try the other flavors.

Ordered my friend some cakes and stopped in for a drink and a sweet treat when we picked them up. The croffle was soooo yummy, such a nice mid afternoon pick me up. The matcha rose lemonade was very good as well. Really friendly staff gave us great directions for storing cakes as we had to wait for our friend. Wanted to order so many more of their sweets but had to hold myself back. Everything in the display case was calling to me!!

Good Quality Drinks, But a Bit Pricey Loved the drinks here! The brown sugar boba was sweet, rich, and super satisfying. The boba itself had a nice, soft chewiness. The service was great, and the shop was clean and stylish. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the prices are a bit high compared to other boba places. Still, I'd come back for a treat!

A very petite bakery that sells high quality cake. The staff provided excellent customer service. They were very accommodating in making the cake last minute and was able to quickly make the cake for me within an hour. The blueberries on the cake were so-so, but the cream on the cake tasted heavily

Taste Creme has my heart. There I said it. Possibly my number one Asian bakery in all of New York that tailors its flavors and sweetness levels to absolute perfection. I've tried almost all their petit cakes but don't sleep on their cookies and to-die-for decadent brownies. Extra points for the lovely owner (?) who sent me 2 extra goodies for messing up my Doordash order and even wrote me a personalized letter. Made my entire day. Guys show this place some love!!!

Amazing desserts-- very balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. My wife and I had a delicious wedding cake made here and enjoyed it so much we had them make cupcakes for our baby shower. Highly recommend

Was so excited to order from this place - but it is sooooo sketchy that I had to cancel my order. Cake was quoted as $85, but then with "tax" it was $97.... I can do simple math to know that NY tax is not 14%. It is 8.8%. So we asked about it and they said oh, we will charge you $92.55, which is the right amount. When we got our receipt, it said $95.32 so they charged us a credit card fee and didn't tell us that. So sketchy. So we called back and said why are you charging us a different amount than you said and they said we can pay cash but it would take 20-30 minutes to prepare the order? To what? put a cake into a box? Cancelled my order entirely. So sketchy. What a shame. Seriously.

I usually get my small cakes from here for various events. This time I came in for my custom baby shower cake, they were quick to respond and very helpful! I sent over some cake inspirations and what I wanted decoration wise/flavor wise, and they did such a great job! Friends and family loved how the cake came out and how it tasted.

Didn't love it, just sponge cake with flavor creme... ... Flavor profile also wasn't distinct.

The Mango Sago & Matcha Red Bean minicakes are my favorite. They are light and not too sweet.

The staffs are friendly, ordered the cake to go. The cake are $15 as of November 2023. The black tea boba tasted better than the mango coconut sago. The consistency of the boba is chewy, make sure you eat it the day of if not, it will become hard. There's a few seats for you to enjoy your desserts. They close early during the weekend at 5pm. Would recommend coming here to try if you are in the area. Service 5/5 Food 4/5 Ambience 4/5

Came by on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. The place was empty at the time due to the weather. I got 4" petite black tea boba cake to go. I wanted a stronger tea taste, but it was still a good cake. It was moist and soft. The cream was a little bit stiffer than I wanted, but that could be because I refrigerated it a few hours before I ate it. The boba was good. It wasn't too sweet and complimented the cake well. It might be better to eat the boba cake at the store, so that you can have it warm. They separate it for you when you get it to go, but as the boba cools down, it does clump together in the cup. It was $15, but it was pretty sizable and can easily be split between 2-3 people for dessert. They have a credit card fee, so best to use a debit card or bring cash.

Probably the best bakery in LIC, hands down. Every bite of cake is luxurious, fluffy and airy. The perfect amount of sweet in each cake. Lots of options to choose from. Great service. Must try the earl grey cupcakes. Presentation of the cakes are just so elegant and beautiful.

If you're like me & often put in charge of sourcing cake for your Asian family's gatherings & struggle to find something to satisfy the "not too sweet" criteria, well then you're in luck. Taste Creme has amazing cakes that will please even your picky grandpa who only likes Chinese food HAHA. (Don't worry, they have a wide variety of baked goods for people who like sweet stuff like me too). The petite cakes are a mini version of their naked cakes and are perfect for sharing a small cake with someone! It's bigger than a cupcake but smaller than a cake, so perfect if you only want to share between 1-2 people. The cakes come in a variety of interesting flavors as well as rotating seasonal flavors. The chiffon cake layers are light and not too sweet and the flavored cream that goes between has a great taste while not being too sweet. Every time I've bought their cakes, it's been a hit! While I haven't had a chance to try every flavor yet, my favorite so far is the matcha red bean cake. Both the matcha and red bean are very balanced & are a crowd pleaser. Other flavors I've ordered are the blueberry early grey & mango coconut sago. The earl grey is very light & tastes great & while I'm not a fruit cream person, my bf enjoyed the mango coconut sago cake for his birthday! As someone who raves about houjicha every other review, I also really love their houjicha cookies! All their cookies are great but the houjicha cookie is my favorite. If you go in store you can get 4 cookies of any flavor for $13 (unsure if maybe the cookie size has gotten smaller over the years?). The cookies usually come with a huge chunk of chocolate in the middle. The houjicha cookie tastes like they made a houjicha chocolate & put a big chunk of it into the cookie as well as layered throughout the cookie. It's a bit salty, sweet, and nutty. I love it a lot but when I go closer to closing time they only ever have maybe 1-2 or left. If you'd like to try more, I recommend buying the cookies earlier in the day before they sell out! When I visited recently, I noticed Taste Creme also started selling ice cream. When I asked, they said they've been selling it for a year already though (oops, I haven't visited in awhile). Would definitely be down to try the flavors sometime! Their drinks are refreshing too & I dream of having one of their custom cakes because it's so beautiful. The naked cakes are a bit more affordable compared to the custom cakes & come in different sizes and are great for larger parties. Just a heads up if you order a topper for the cake with a custom message like "happy birthday so & so" it'll cost extra. The only reason I dock a star is because it's a bit on the expensive side for some items but flavor wise it's really great & I recommend it for when you need cakes for special occasions or when you want to treat yourself. Definitely check out this bakery when you get a chance.

I was sent a mini boba cake and Thai tea cake for my birthday about 4 years ago and have been a taste creme customer since! I love all the flavors they have to offer and the taste and texture of the petite cakes are always perfect. I recently ordered a birthday delivery for a friend on door dash and Taste Creme even took the time to handwrite a note for the delivery which we thought was so sweet! They'll continue to be my go to bakery in the LIC area.

I have been wanting to try this place for over a year... mostly because of the rave reviews, gorgeous photos posted on Yelp, and my love for everything earl grey. Finally I was around the area and decided to make a quick stop. When I first entered I was kind of shocked as to how dingy the place looked. I guess I was expecting a cute little shop that was well lit, modern, and just overall a good place to hang for a few minutes to enjoy the treats. I ordered two strawberry vanilla cupcakes and a blueberry earl grey petite cake to go. That itself ran me $27+ including tax. The two cupcakes were placed in to go cupcakes containers that are too large for the actual tiny cupcake... so by the time I got to my destination both cupcakes were flipped over onto its sides with the frosting smeared all over the plastic container. The strawberry vanilla cupcakes were actually quite tasty though. Subtly sweet with good strawberry flavor. I was actually not crazy about the earl grey... in fact I thought the earl grey flavor was too strong. Service was fine. The lady took my order and packed my order... nothing out of the ordinary. Not sure why there is an option to tip on the credit card machine when they are literally just doing their job.

After I first tasted the custom cake my friend ordered from here, I knew I had to order my birthday cake from here as well. Katrina makes amazingly beautiful and delicious cakes. It's not too sweet, very flavorful, and custom tailored to your request. The blueberry earl grey and strawberry dulce de leche flavors are to die for.

I ordered a lychee rose latte at this visit. It was absolutely delicious. I was able to taste the flavors just right with the coffee. Will definitely order again. :)

We picked up a pre-ordered earl grey blueberry cake on Sunday and encountered a grumpy staff. No greeting no smile, not a welcoming atmosphere. We've been here a few years ago and it was not like this. The most disappointing part here is the cake, which I got for my husband's birthday. The cake had extremely little cream in the middle layer and the sponge cake at the bottom was so dry. I can't imagine this is the same store as before. The store did offer full credit for my cake but seriously I don't want get embarrassed by presenting this cake at the next important event.

Cake is okay but they are super "cute". My wife love this place but I don't care for it. Picked up our pre order cake and cupcake for $300 and they didn't have cutlery or candles. Over price cake, decent service, shit management team for not having amenity.

Service is sub-par - 2/5 But I must admit the cakes are good, unique and tasty 4.5/5 I spent $380 on 3 birthday cakes. They look great and taste great. You will generally be happy with the cakes themselves if you're willing to fork out 3-4X $ more than a Paris Baguette cake. What I was really disappointed about was the lack of service. Why is there no plastic cake knife when I'm spending over $120 per cake? Why would the manager try to upcharge me another $5 for candles?! Especially when I already have a large tip for my order. It's like ordering omakase... you'd hope the restaurant provides chopsticks, ginger and wasabi and that these are not upsell items otherwise it's just upsetting Felt unreasonable and not service oriented and left me disappointed. These are all things customers are used to getting for free and as part of the cake experience even when spending $30 on a Paris Baguette cake. Feedback: if you want to justify your prices, I recommend this business uplevels their service offering too and becomes more customer-centric

The mocha caramel cake tasted very similar to tiramisu given the sponge was soaked in coffee. There's really no caramel in this aside from the drizzle on top so if you're not a caramel fan you'll still enjoy this. The strawberry croffle was the best of the bunch. It was made to order so it was hot when it came out and loaded with cream and strawberries. The croffle itself was almost crunchy and hard on the outside but softish in the middle, not so much melty and soft as other croffle I've had. There's a couple tables to sit at so you can enjoy your dessert and drinks indoors. Definitely wanna come back to try the ube croissant.

Cute small space for delicious light cakes. The flavors here are different and more unique than other shops. The cakes are also very light and not sweet- very in keeping with the Asian theme. I tried the matcha red bean and the pandan cake. I preferred the pandan- the flavor was much stronger. But I also bake and pandan true pandan is not that color. I don't know if their pandan was mixed with butterfly pea tea but the color was artificial if it was only suppose to be pandan. The matcha red bean kinda got muddled. There wasn't enough red bean filling and it got overpowered by the green tea. Overall the cakes were a tasty treat but quite expensive - it's approximately 15 dollars did a small 3 inc cake. Definitely not an every day purchase but good to try if you want different Asian flavors. Lo

We were passing by when we saw this cute bakery. The kind employee told us the blueberry earl grey cake was the most popular when I asked, and it did NOT disappoint! I've never had a cake like this before. Not too sweet, strong earl grey flavor in the frosting, and fresh with blueberries! Delicious!

Love this place!! Came here a few weeks ago with my friends on a rly rlyy hot day and they gave us free water which was so kind!! I love their cupcakes and basically all of their desert!! Super nice and quiet and the staff her are all super kind!

Small little dessert shop in LIC. Calm ambiance. Items are not cheap, but are very well thought out blends. I had their new ube matcha latte with almond milk. Not too sweet, tasted delicious with the foam on top. The lady at the counter was so sweet - she asked if we wanted to try this new flavor coffee they had and she would make it for us. Thanks!

For a lot of my friends, "not too sweet" would be considered a compliment. This is exactly it for taste crème's cakes, I've tried the milk tea, matcha with red bean and earl grey blueberry so far and earl grey is my fav. The cream is freshly made and the cake is fluffy, I love that they come in different sizes. The drinks aren't as good as the cakes, I think I'd skip the matcha and hojicha lattes next time and get an extra cake instead

I love the concept of petite cakes. This is perfect if you're having an intimate gathering and maybe can't commit to finishing a typical party size cake. I got the Boba cake and the Mango flavored one. There isn't a whole lot of selections to choose from, which frankly makes the process easy for me as I get overwhelmed with too many choices lol. My friend and I both loved the mango cake. I also liked the boba cake too (make sure to eat the boba pearls within 8 ish hours from buying the cake and store it in room temperature ). The presentation of these cakes are instaworthy. Each cake was $15 each. Kind of pricey, but for me it was more about being less wasteful than buying a large party size cake. Will come again to try more cake and some of their pastries.

Great presentation, flavor, and attention to detail here. Really enjoyed what I had. I tried one of their signature cakes and it, like their cupcakes, was so moist and rich while not being too sweet and was just perfect. MINI CUPCAKE SAMPLER (~$25) While a bit hefty on the price tag, the flavors were a good sample platter of some of their greats. In general, the texture of the cupcakes is so soft, delicate and MOIST. Nothing is overly sweet. -STRAWBERRY VANILLA: the tiny diced strawberries were soft and sweet, they somehow took out the tartness of the strawberry which can be unpleasant. Light vanilla flavor that undertones that quick punch of sweet strawberry. -RASPBERRY ROSE: usually not a fan of rose but still enjoyable as the rose is subtle. Raspberry keeps some of that tartness to dominate with the raspberry flavor. -BLUEBERRY EARL GREY: My favorite one! Nice punch of blueberry flavor with a milk tea flavor in the background; the tea flavor is well-maintained since it wasn't overly sweet which was pleasant for me. -DULCE DE LECHE: you think it'd be the sweetest one; usually desserts flavored with this are too sweet for me but this wasn't the case. It was a strong punch of deep caramelly sweetness and then it mellows out. BUTTERFLY PEA LAVENDER LEMONADE Refreshing, not too sweet, and subtle with the butterfly pea flavor; not too sour either. Good balance of everything.

Love the cakes and cookies from here. Not too sweet and mini cakes are all really soft and tasty. Tried almost all the flavors and my current favorites are the boba milk tea and the seasonal Apple cinnamon. As for the cookies, love the matcha and black sesame flavors!

Katrina was super helpful in recommending flavors to us based on our preferences. We ordered the lychee raspberry rose and the blueberry earl grey. Both were super delicious! The flavors really complement each other. The mini cake is a great size to share for 2 people. Personally, it was a bit too much cream for us, but that's just us. We can't wait to come back and try more flavors!!!

I'm usually not a fan of light and airy cakes, but I heard really good things about Taste Creme so I bought 2 while I was in the area one day. I liked the Mango Sago much more than the Blueberry Earl Grey (their most popular) but both were top notch for what they are. Each layer of cake was soaked so every bite was airy and moist. The creme in between the layers were the perfect level of sweetness (not much so) and lightness that left me feeling good even after finishing half a 4 in cake in one sitting. There was a bit more acid in the Mango , and the Sago added some additional texture, which is probably why I enjoyed that one more. Only 4 stars instead of 5 b/c $15 per 4 in cake is kind of expensive for the size.

We ordered one of the mini earl gray blueberry personal sized cakes to split between the two. I love the aesthetics- it was super cute and small and the perfect size to share. The earl gray mousse was perfect- light, not too sweet, and layered between each layer of vanilla cake. It provided a good moistness to the otherwise very dry cake. The cake itself, unfortunately, was very crumbly and dry. The flavor was also almost non existent. I had some cake by itself and it didn't have the butteriness I'd expect out of a cake. At $12, I expected more from a cake. It was pretty good but I don't think I'd come back for more.

It's a small yet cozy shop. I ordered 2 cakes from them and both are delish. 1) lychee rose petite cake: light fluffy cake with great balanced flavor of rose and lychee. Not loaded with sugar and tasty. 2) earl grey blueberry cake: fresh blueberries with a hint of earl grey tea flavor. I would come back and try other flavors.

Got to try a few treats from here recently. Chocolate chip cookie was decent, nothing special. But the mini pumpkin cake was amazing - so fluffy, and had great pumpkin flavor. Not too sweet. 5 stars for that alone. Definitely will be back to try more cakes!

Came on a rainy afternoon with a friend. There is enough seating for 8-9 people. They have a large variety of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies and other goods. The drink menu has plenty of options as well. I loved the asian flavors that they offer. The worker there was very nice. The goods were packaged in a nice box for takeaway.

Great cakes and great drinks! The blueberry earl grey cake is their bestseller, and I totally get why. The sweetness is very balanced, with a distinctive earl grey flavor. The blueberry on top adds freshness to the cake as well! The cake itself is super moist. And can definitively be shared between 2-3 people. We also tried the tiramisu and matcha cream puff, and thought they were also really good. The tiramisu was not super intense on the coffee flavor, which was what I liked. We were also pleasantly surprised by how interesting and tasty the drinks were! We tried a few different flavors and they were all really good. I've never had the flavor combinations before. If you're in the area, Would def recommend stopping by!

Really great cake. I mean it. Alot of bakeries don't get the taste right or the flavors at all but Taste Creme does it right. Minus a star for price (I'm a cheap skate!) Preordered a their Earl grey blueberry cake for my sister's birthday online and the online process was a breeze. Cake is moist and soft, cream was decadent with floral Earl grey notes without feeling too greasy or too sweet. 10/10 would order again!

I've been eyeing this store since I moved to NY, and took awhile because they close so early! I ran here during my wfh lunch break (: The door definitely is really hard to open, so make sure to tug HARD! The workers are all so friendly and nice. And they do not have indoor seating yet. Inside is really closed off and they limit 2 customers at a time. These mini chiffon cakes are so pretty and delicious! I liked how they were not overly sweet, unlike most desserts here in America. It is definitely pricey, but I think it is worth it. Despite its looks, the small one is actually a lot bigger than I thought so I think two people can share it!
