During my recent visit to Taste, I had a delightful dining experience. The sliders were particularly flavorful, offering a satisfying bite that was both juicy and well-seasoned. I highly recommend trying the boiled peanut hummus—it’s a unique twist that’s both creamy and rich in taste. One standout aspect was the service. Our server was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu, providing insightful recommendations and detailed descriptions that enhanced our meal choices. The atmosphere at Taste was equally impressive, creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment to dine in. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Taste offers a well-rounded experience that’s worth a visit.

Micheal was great! I had the best experience for my first visit. Wanted somewhere nice to ask my bestie to be my MOH for my wedding! The mocato he brought out for a sample was so good I got us the whole bottle. The short rib Alfredo 10/10 . The Gnocchi 10/10. Shirmp scampi dip 10/10 . Will definitely be back for sure .

So glad I found this gem. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the wine selection is huge. Michael was amazing—very knowledgeable and didn’t hesitate to recommend based on my tastes. I had the Spanish meatballs, which were fine, and the quail knots. I would pay for the recipe to the mashed sweet potatoes. Definitely coming back.

Wanted to check out a wine bar once we had a long day drive. Taste had great options for small plates so we could sample each others. Nice wine flight options and staff were knowledgeable on the wines. It was quite so we enjoyed talking with staff. Would recommend trying a flight and the steak sliders were great! If ever in the area, we would go back!

It is very highly recommended. The food was fantastic. I got the wedge salad and brussel sprouts. The salad was very fresh and a youthful take on a wedge. The dressing was somewhere between a ranch and tzatziki, very very good. The wine selection is phenomenal. I met the bartender choose and she did not disappoint.

The food was delicious with impeccable service. Very nice atmosphere with the exception of one patron that was passionately discussing her family drama and for some reason thought everyone would like to know. (Oh the language). We received our food quickly and it was seasoned to perfection. My husband and I each had an appetizer, small plate, and entree. My favorite was the crab cake & fried green tomato and the filet.

We had a super large party. The food was excellent, the staff, just superb and the atmosphere laid back and great as well. I got the crab cakes with green tomatoes, and I highly recommend. Also, ordered the shrimp scampi dip that came with little crustini toast. Absolutely to die for. Even with a large crowd, our food came out super quick. Definitely going back.

Delicious!! I got the shrimp scampi dip, a salad wedge, and the sausage gnocchi dish. Everything was absolutely delicious. Staff are so friendly and attentive. The decor is classy. Would absolutely go there again. I think the pricing was definitely competitive...the food was worth it. It was so fresh and well made.

Super cute & chic restaurant. Came with a group of 15 on a Saturday for brunch and the service was GREAT!!! Brunch and Lunch menus were available. Started with the bottle service!! For $20 you get a bottle of Prosecco and your choice of pineapple, orange or cranberry juice. Really like this idea for our group. Started with the Caesar salad! Either I was starving or it was the best Caesar I've had in a long time. Also ordered the Short Rib Pasta Alfredo. Loved the taste!!! Pretty large portion as well for a small plate. Ended with the fried green tomatoes. They were well seasoned and fried lightly. Enjoyed Taste & I'll be back.

I had a lovely dinner here, reunited with old friends. Service was friendly and prompt. I had roasted brussels sprouts, wedge salad, hot and honey sliders, and bread pudding. Everything was delicious. I recommend y'all visit Taste; I will return on a future trip.

My husband & I went to Taste yesterday afternoon (Sunday) around 3 & were pleasantly surprised. There was a guy w/black hair behind the bar who greeted us nicely & seated us immediately. They had just opened & he actually waited on us. Must say that he was one of the best servers I've encountered & we eat out a lot! Friendly, personable, offered us suggestions from the menu/his favorites & his honest opinion. Food: good! Temperature was good, flavor was spot on, timing was perfect. Upon leaving, they (our server & a manager I think) wished us well & thanked us for coming in. Now that's good customer service - top notch. Check out Taste; you won't regret it

Awesome date nite place. Romantic, moody ambiance with great seasonal cocktails and thoughtful cuisine. The chefs know exactly what they're doing. And the service was okay. Would go back again during the daylight hours to see what the service is like. Also a great area to take a night walk.

Food was great! We got a few appetizers and all of them were really good and an appropriate portion for the price. The best item we tried was the balaclava cheesecake! I didn't want to share it after having the first bite. Service was quick and accommodating. We were served by the manager who had a lot of personality! Loved the patio seating area. Will definitely be going back.

My first time at Taste was a delight! It's a grown and sexy vibe with dim lighting and candlelit tables. We snagged a parking spot right by the building and were seated pretty quickly. I'm a tequila girl so I was excited to try the 'I've got something burning'. Thankfully the spice didn't overwhelm the flavor. The spanish meatballs were do soft and savory, I loved the sauce! We aldo tried the scampi dip and that was my fav. Our server was very funny and helped us navigate our way through the menus. He even made a special cocktail for my friend since she wanted something on the sweet side. We had a great time catching up and ended our night full and ready to plan our next

I visited Taste for lunch and had a great experience with the food. We tried the candy bacon, steak sliders, short rib Alfredo, and grits, and everything was delicious. Service was OK. Mike was our host, bartender, and waiter. The restaurant has a moody, intimate ambience, which makes it feel like a great spot for a date night. I'd love to return for dinner to see how the service compares in the evening.

We were looking for a quick meal during that lull between lunch and dinner. Taste opened at 3pm and we were there just as they were settling in for the day. The restaurant was clean and it had a very Northern California vibe with barrels and wine bottles providing the crux of the decorations. The menu was electronic and comprised of tapas, small plates, salads, entrees, desserts, wine, beer, and cocktails. We split two tapas - Spanish meatballs and grilled steak sliders. We also got the poached pear salad and the short rib pasta alfredo. The salad arrived at our table first and it was very good. The pear was soft and sweet, which worked well with the gorgonzola cheese and candied walnuts. The rest of the meal came out shortly afterwards. Of the hot dishes that we got, the meatballs were the best. They were served in a very hot skillet topped with cheese and sauce and they came with soft, thick grilled bread that was delicious. I really enjoyed the meatballs but my husband thought that they could've benefited from a little salt or seasoning. We both agreed that the short rib pasta alfredo was heavy and very one note. It needed something to brighten it up. I was glad that we had tried the small plate version of this instead of the entrée short rib portion. The sliders were enjoyed by my husband as I took one bite and realized that between the bread and the meat, they were a bit dry for me. The cheese also wasn't melted on them. We got a cocktail (old fashioned) and a mocktail. Both were OK. Given the rave reviews of the bar, I think I was expecting something a little more creative particularly with the mocktail as the bartender indicated that she could create something. Service was good but we were also the only people in the restaurant. We appreciated our server's recommendation to get the bread pudding, which was sweet, sticky, hearty, and not soggy! This was probably the best thing that we ate here. We should've asked if ice cream could've been added! I hope to be able to come back to Taste to try more of the menu.

This was my first experience with brunch at Taste. Very nice experience. The food is well prepared and the servings are right sized. The atmosphere is pleasant and outside patio dining is available. Their service is excellent. All around great experience.

Came in for dinner while on a business trip. Miss Kelly at the bar was a hoot. I did a wine flight and tried a couple of their tapas. The Cab wine flight was good and extremely well priced for the size of the pours. The meatballs were good. The bruschetta was just ok. The cheese on the tomatoes was almost chalky but the tomatoes and bread were good. I decided to have an espresso martini for dessert and Kelly let me know they were out of martini glasses and would I be ok with a different kind of glass. Overall I had a very nice time!

Service was really nice. I enjoyed the laid back, quiet atmosphere as well as my food. Everything was really nice.

This restaurant is fantastic! The cuisine is superb, and the staff is both speedy and welcoming. The outdoor seating with a heater creates a great atmosphere. I highly suggest giving it a try.

The food left much to be desired. The short rib was mostly fat. The mashed potatoes tasted as if they were from box with white cheddar powder. The hot honey chicken was mostly skin with vey little chicken. The meatballs were tasteless meat with sauce thrown on top. Our server, Benny, was phenomenal!!! The ambiance indoors was nice. We were ready to pay and leave and our server suggested to show the manager our plates and manager's response was there is nothing they can do and did not come out to speak to us.

We came for a birthday celebration and had a fantastic dinner. You can always count on great food, libations and customer service at Taste!! Everything was absolutely delicious. Staff are so friendly and attentive. The decor is classy. Would absolutely go there again. I think the pricing was definitely competitive...the food was worth it. It was so fresh and well made.

Plates were small enough we were able to try a variety of dishes. Beyond pleased with the entire experience, I only wish I'd visited sooner!

Another banger from Taste, this is my 2nd time going to Taste. The whine selection is huge even though I'm not a drinker, as someone who works in hospitality it's very impressive. They also have mixed drinks and even served my sister a mocktail since our family doesn't drink. I had the steak which was wonderful and for dessert the bread pudding which is clearly their best dessert after we tried a lot of the others.

The ambiance was spectacular. The drink was delicious, food was delicious but the lobster macaroni and cheese could use some more seasoning. Please try the bread pudding because it's so delicious; it's mind blowing. I forgot to snap the photo of it.

Setting was excellent and so was our server. He was great. Food was very good but not as good as previous times.

Taste is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food and drinks are always delicious. They have a great group of people working there providing friendly and helpful service! We went one night when there was live music, which was a lot of fun. The environment is always exceptional! Definitely stop by if you are in the area!

10 stars, actually. So, my friend and I road tripped down to Montgomery from Nashville for a concert this weekend and we on the hunt for a nice dinner. Actually just found this place by playing around on Google maps... and so glad we did. I cannot say enough amazing things of Taste. First and foremost, our waiter, Josh, deserves a raise and all the kudos. He brought us three samples of red wine based on what we told him we were looking for. Blind taste test. After telling him which we prefer and which we didn't like he knew something was off based on our dislike of the first. He took it to the back, smelled it and tasted it for himself, and brought us a fresh sample of the same. After retrying it, it is safe to say it's the best red I've ever had. We got the bottle. For food we ordered the Caesar salad, the bacon and goat cheese flatbread, and the charcuterie plate with a Gouda and Cave Aged Cheddar. All out of this world. Service, as mentioned before, is tops here! It's location is in a little tucked away area of the city with super easy parking. Ambiance is just lovely. Dimly lit with the perfect romantic/chill vibe. Great date spot. Great take your parents spot. Great happy hour with friends spot. Just a great spot. Should I find myself in Montgomery again I will be back to Taste. Thank you for a great evening!

Y'all. If you live in the Montgomery area and have not been to this establishment, do your wine-loving palate a favor and GO. Hubby and I enjoyed the Pork Belly Sliders and the Charcuterie Plate immensely. Of course, the wine is the reason we went and it could not have been a more enjoyable experience. We each had a red wine flight. I cannot wait to go back!

Look I'm no expert, but I like to eat and have a drink. This was a 1st with my Wife and bestie... same person..! We arrived and were seated immediately! This was her birthday so we got a couple of glasses of sparkling wine to get things rolling. Then for appetizers we got the stuffed mushrooms... spot on delicious! Then for the main course, she had scallops small plate and I had the Wagyu Sirloin, Absolutely perfect! The service was superb and to top it off, excellent burbon selection! It's definitely a must try for a guy with a "taste" for goodness! They hit the mark... I'll be back! Wait Wait, Bread pudding Holy Cow this guy Cody talked me into it! Got it to go! (Oh! Ask for Cody, server dude... he made the whole night super special!)

Taste has very small portions due to the tapas concept. However, the flavor profile is amazing!

After seeing all the near stellar ratings and reviews of this place, it felt like a no brainer and so I booked a resy for 2. After being seated, we waited a good 25-30 minutes before even getting our glass of water. Then food was very underwhelming for the both of us. The food on our plates were either undercooked or overcooked. Not much flavor. All employees were very polite. I'm thinking it maybe could've been an off night and I'm willing to give it another shot. FYI, it very well could've been that my tastebuds betrayed me. It's happened before.

It's a neighborhood bar. If you go regularly you know what I am talking about. If you want to enjoy your meal and drink get a table do not sit at the bar. It's always a wild time at the bar. I'm not saying it's good or bad (bar atmosphere). The food is pretty good and the drinks are strong

If you're a local or even in Montgomery on business or just visiting and haven't discovered this gem, you are missing out! This place is fairly new but it has that homey, family-type atmosphere that some places have to build over a long period of time to get. The staff is super friendly and helpful too! They have several flights of wine to choose from, plus a pretty extensive wine list. There are also other drinks to choose if you're not into wine. The tapas! Oh, the tapas! The steak flatbread was so good! The steak just melts in your mouth! I also had the tomato and Gorgonzola salad, which was decent, but not the highlight of the meal. The highlight was the short ribs and pasta with a sauce that was similar to a creamy bolognese. Omg...it was like I was transported back to Italy! All in all, I'm so glad I stopped at this place. It was a great surprise! My waiter, Josh, was wonderful! You can tell he's passionate about his job, which is such a nice thing to see these days. Kelly was also great and made a great recommendation of ports to go with my cheesecake dessert. Stop by the next chance you get! You won't regret it!

Really enjoyed this place!! Went in for drinks before dinner. Great atmosphere! Nice dim lighting, clean, well furnished. There was a band (two guys and guitars) playing live music on Saturday night. Wine was good! My husband and I each got a flight of red wine. Good portion size for the tasting, came with a card that explained the wine. Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. Service was attentive but not intrusive. It was our anniversary, they brought us champagne and a card signed by the staff...super nice touch! Food was delicious...recommend the pork belly sliders and bison burger!

We had a wonderful experience at Taste! Extensive wine list...try a flight...small but well crafted food menu. I had the salmon, my hubs had the steak, our friends had the mahi and all were delicious. Bread pudding was WOW! Our server, Jess, took great care of us. We will be back!

Quiet, small restaurant if you want to get away. Non-congested area for dinner and drinks. Staff is friendly and the food is great. Recommend the bison burger!

We had a date night here tonight and it was absolutely phenomenal. We stayed and enjoyed ourselves for almost three hours. From the various wine flights we ordered, to the amazing sweet potato goat cheese fries, to the bread pudding... all of it was amazing. This is the perfect place to try any wine you could imagine, enjoy some live music, and spend some time with great company. We made a reservation for 5pm on a Saturday and were the only ones in the restaurant, but it became much more crowded around 630. Highly recommend!

The food was good and the service was ok. The wines weren't that bad. The atmosphere was ok but the place was dark. I would consider coming back.

After a girl's night at the nail salon, this was the perfect place to wine down lol. The waiter was like an ambassador to us, because he was so well educated on the wine choices and the menu. My friends had various charcuterie boards with many decadent cheeses. I had the Duck Egg Rolls which were exotically delicious! The star of the show was the Salted Almond Chocolate Truffle, which was a chocolate lovers dream and the best thing I've ever tasted in my life. This place is a gem. Period. We had a true dining experience and we were even planning our next visit before we left. We'll be back soon!

Came here for dinner on a Thursday night. We were promptly seated and the service was great. The atmosphere is pretty good, I feel like it comes off as kind of cheap considering they are trying to depict themself as more of a fine dining establishment. I had the Spicy Mango Margarita. It was pretty tasty and flavorful but a bit sweet for my taste. We started off with Sweet Potato Skillet Fries. It was a pretty unique dish with some really good flavor behind it. I had the Bison Burger as my entree. It was a small plate but it was enough for me with the appetizer. Definitely not the only thing you would want if you are starving. I think considering they only offer small plates the price is a little steep. The burger was really good and had some really nice flavor. The potatoes on the side were a little salty however. Overall a solid place to dine in East Montgomery.

This is a long overdue post, but we were in town visiting family, and our experience was lovely. The food was amazing, wine on point, and service was great. I'm excited to come here when I come visit ever so often

Yes, yes and YES! Wonderful menu combined with a families wine selection. The Somm went out of his way to pair the perfect wine with each course of the meal. I ordered a pear salad, roasted Duck and a dark chocolate tart for dessert. Absolutely delicious! Portions were perfect, food quality was high as was the service. Great holiday atmosphere!

First, I would suggest reservations through Open Table. Excellent atmosphere! Our server, Betty, was knowledgeable of the wine list and menu items. I enjoy Moscato wine, even though it was not on the menu she miraculously found a bottle. She was extremely attentive, but not in the hovering sense. Our food was delicious, especially the seafood dip. Definitely, a wonderful first dining experience and it has been placed on our "favorite" list of places to dine. The tapas are a wonderful idea. We got to taste a variety of foods, and did not feel miserable after dessert. The live music was a huge plus, especially with local TV news anchor John O'Conner in the band! Please check out Taste, you won't be disappointed.
