Google
We really wanted to like this Chinese restaurant. It had really good reviews. Unfortunately we were not fans at all and don't understand all the rave reviews. I ordered the house combo with kung pao chicken and egg foo young. The kung pao was flavorless and lacked any semblance of spiciness. The egg food young was okay. It also lacked flavor. Infact our whole meal kind of tasted all the same and all tasted slightly of 5 spice powder. My husband ordered the house combo with general tso chicken and an egg roll. The general tso had more flavor than most of everything we ordered but there was no spiciness at all. His egg roll had almost no filling at all. It was primarily wrapper, like 95% wrapper. I am posting photos of it with this review. They do have battered dipped shrimp which is becoming harder to find, but the shrimp was overcooked to the point our toddler wouldn't eat it and he lives for fried shrimp. The hot and sour soup was good but lacked spiciness as well. If you are like us and live for spicy Chinese food when you are ordering a spicy dish keep looking. This restaurant was bland and we kind of got the feeling they are trying to cater to the masses. I have always thought even bad Chinese food is better than no Chinese food but I have learned that isn't always the case now. We live for Chinese food left overs, not this time. I will save the soup. The rest will get tossed. Maybe we caught them on a bad night. Eating out is too expensive now for us to give restaurants a second try now. We get to eat out so rarely that it has become a one and done for us. They were really friendly and the restaurant was clean that was very refreshing. A lot of restaurants are neither friendly nor clean these days. If the food was better they would be top notch!

Google
This is their Deluxe Special. It is clearly enough for at least three days. It’s always hot and fresh, outstanding taste, great service and you have access to the sushi bar next-door. Definitely a win-win. The restaurant itself is always clean. I also have it delivered, my order is never wrong, the serving sizes are the same as being in the restaurant. A lot of deliveries are much smaller portions, not that this is a little plate of food lol

Google
We just visited for the first time, everything was AMAZING. The staff was extremely nice and attentive, even brought my daughter a cute kids plate with her meal 🥺 The portions were MASSIVE and so cheap!! This will definitely become a regularly visited place.

I really enjoyed it. Food was good, service was exceptional. Atmosphere was nice

Google
Got this for takeout tonight for the first time and will not be back. Noodles were clumped together and dry with very squishy chicken. General Tsao was over fried with very little sauce and very little meat also it didn’t come with rice but they provided two random packets of soy sauce

Google
This is my all time favorite restaurant and I can’t help but choose it for my birthday dinner every year. You won’t find better mongolian beef, sesame chicken, low mein or potstickers anywhere else I’m so serious. I’ve heard their mooshu is lackluster but I can’t confirm nor deny that claim as I haven’t tried it myself. The price is solid for the portion sizes and quality of food, nothing to sneeze at but totally worth it if for a special occasion. Not to mention I’ve never had poor service there, the staff are always very polite and attentive towards our needs which I greatly appreciate.

Taste of China Chinese Restaurant is one of those places that truly surprises you in the best way possible. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality, inviting aromas, and a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. It’s the kind of restaurant where you can enjoy a cozy dinner, pick up an easy takeout meal, or treat friends and family to something delicious — and it never disappoints. The food here is outstanding. Every dish tastes fresh, flavorful, and prepared with real care. The portions are generous, the ingredients are high quality, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. Whether it’s the classic Orange Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, General Tso’s Chicken, Lo Mein, or their fried rice, everything comes out hot, tasty, and satisfying. You can tell the chefs know what they’re doing — the textures, sauces, and seasonings are always on point. What I appreciate most is the consistency. No matter how many times I order, the food always tastes just as good as the last time. The dishes arrive quickly, and even the takeout packaging is neat, secure, and keeps everything fresh. It’s the type of place you can rely on when you’re craving great Chinese food. The service is another big highlight. The staff is friendly, polite, and attentive, making sure every customer feels welcomed and taken care of. Orders are prepared fast, special requests are always respected, and the team is always ready to help with recommendations if you’re not sure what to choose. Their professionalism and kindness make the experience even better. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and well-organized. Everything feels tidy, the environment is peaceful, and it’s a great spot to sit down and enjoy a meal without any rush. The atmosphere is simple but pleasant, and it adds to the overall positive experience. On top of that, the value is excellent. The prices are fair, especially considering the large portions and high quality of the food. It’s one of those places where you truly feel like you’re getting great food at a great price — something that’s becoming harder to find. Overall, Taste of China Chinese Restaurant is a fantastic choice for anyone who loves delicious, comforting, and authentic Chinese cuisine. With flavorful dishes, welcoming service, and a clean, relaxing atmosphere, it’s a place I highly recommend and look forward to returning to again and again!

First time to this location. Parking was a bit tight but doable. Clean restaurant. We were seated immediately. Our server was very polite and attentive to us. I ordered the Honey Chicken Lunch Meal with Side. The food was amazing. The hostess warned us that it always tastes best fresh but less so cold. That was very honest and earned not only my respect but that of those with me. I am very happy to find another restaurant with excellent food and great service. Honestly, we went in not expecting much, but left very pleased. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get. I will be going here again and trying other items on their menu. Apart from the parking this was all 5 stars.

Yelp
The most amazing service! Called because I'm particular about my crab rangoons(they are savory yay!), then ordered online. They called to ensure they got my address correct which was so lovely, accurate wait time stated and somehow (this is an impossible achievement) the sweet delivery driver did not set off my (sweet) but obnoxious dogs. Fantastic pricing and portion sizes, this hit my craving! Everyone we interacted with was lovely and my husband and I will have to come to the spot in person! The general tso's is awesome, the fried spring rolls are amazing.

Yelp

Yelp
We come to this restaurant every time I come to town and it is good. It's family owned and the staff is nice and good is quick. They also make it quickly and nice big servings. The green beans and shrimp is very flavorful but ask them to make it medium spicy as that definitely added to it. The shrimp was good quality. My only complaint is that the beef in the Happy Family and chicken in the yakasoba, while plentiful, is soft. I think maybe they marinated in baking soda to soften it and I'd rather it be regular. The bbq pork was tasty and it was a good quantity. I will come back but will be getting the shrimp dishes going forward.

Yelp
Gluten free review only: We stopped at this little place because I saw that they have gluten free. We were seated quickly. They were very knowledgeable about gluten free. We had the fried rice (no sauce) and beef and broccoli with white rice. The white rice is a few dollars extra. We give the fried rice a 4. We give the beef and broccoli a 3. We had the egg drop soup (3.50 a cup). We have that a 5 out of 5. There's not a whole lot of options but there are some. Maybe one day they'll do an orange chicken or something (made with cornstarch, of course!). The service was knowledgeable and friendly. We will be going back and I'll update. I would give this a try if you're around and gluten free.

Yelp
I really wish I didn't have to write this. So disappointed. I'm not sure what happened here with the chef they used to have, but this was by far the worst meal we've had here. Szechuan chicken was mostly celery, onions and water chestnuts. Asked for extra spicy, but received bland soggy (and not fresh at all) veggies and stringy chicken with no taste except salty. Pork fried rice - no flavor or pork to be had unless you count the scraped bits from something. I keep coming back because they do have great moments, but not sure it's worth the inconsistency anymore.

Yelp
Great food and large portions. I always have enough for left overs the next day. The service is fast and friendly too.

Haleem A.

Yelp
Pretty good food, wish the chicken came with the sauce on them already and i probably could've asked but i didn't know, Also the egg foo young was pretty good, i would come back i wanna try the lo mein next. The server at the counter was also very nice, she told me all the popular dishes, since it was my first time.

Yelp
Excellent place for Chinese food The food is fresh, the only place I will eat Chinese food and the staff is very efficient
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
It's okay. Hopefully they will make improvements. I never had sauce that was liquid and it is definitely different. I wouldn't mind trying one more time to give it a chance but maybe it was a different chef that day.

Yelp
Singapore Rice Noodles was good, though the noodles was overcooked a bit and too soft, good portion. Salt and Pepper Chicken was strange. The chicken is not chicken white or dark meat, but has textured and grain pattern in sheets, so each piece deep fried is curled up like strings--this must be processed chicken. Will skip.

Yelp
We've been coming here for a few months and they really knock it out of the park. The food is flavorful, my wife and I have a strong preference for the beef based dishes, she likes green bean beef and I prefer kung pao beef over there chicken counterparts. What really stands out besides the great tasting food and large portions is their flexibility. If you'd prefer orange chicken instead of sweet and sour chicken just tell them it's no cost. If you want pork fried rice instead of steamed rice for your main entrees if you're not getting the combo plate then the only charge 2.50. I think it's great service, good price and fantastic taste. After all it's all about the food but it's nice when everything else comes together the way it does at this place. We will keep coming back and I recommend you give it a try if you haven't already. I think most people will order take out. the inside isn't very large and not one of the key features of the place.

Yelp
Fabulous food! This plate is amazing. Fast, great taste, great value! Love this restaurant

Mimi F.

Yelp
This was the first time I tried TOC. I usually frequent and get Sushi next door, which is one of the best in town. It was very good Chinese food. It was fresh and tasty. They will definitely be my go-to from now on.

Yelp
Lunch special for 12.99 included fried rice, main dish, side, and soup. I chose egg flower, pot stickers, and Honey Chicken. Will be back!
google avatar

Lorinda M.

Yelp
The service EVERY single time is out of this world! We eat here as often as we can, the tofu dishes are delicious. The egg foo-yung patty and gravy are always freshly made and has crispy edges. The vegetables in all the dishes we order are just the right amount of crunchy and not over cooked. Make this your Go-To Chinese restaurant!
google avatar

Shannon E.

Yelp
Always amazing service and food! Egg flowerr soup is always a hit and spring rolls are always crispy and yummy

Yelp
We ate in with family and the food great and wait staff was great. Unfortunately, when we called in an order to pick up a couple weeks later, the portions weren't what we expected. Disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Always pleasant service. Good pricing. Food in timely manner. My favorite Chinese place now. Could use a little more salt

Nancy R.

Yelp
Food is delicious! The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Food was served in timely matter. We will return!

Yelp
This place is quite yummy! The portions are generous. I've been here a few times and staff is always very kind. Fast, clean and sooo much goodness! It's going to be our new goto!

Sandy P.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. Wonderful food would definitely recommend. Parking a little tight. Pat the trouble.

Misty S.

Yelp
Food is amazing! The only place we go out to. Plenty of food to feed 2 Thank you for always the best food and service. Even when it's busy they know how to run a business .

Yelp
I'm a foodie and grew up in a predominantly indo-Asian neighborhood. So I kind of judge Asian food to a higher degree because I grew up eating it the majority of the time (in restaurants, 1st gen or immigrant friends home cooking, cooking authentic cuisine myself, etc. ) That said, I'm not impressed even if this was geared towards the majority demographic in the area. Forget authentic because it can vary on regions, etc. but the lack of protein in the meat dishes and lack of flavor was just not there. My family and I splurged trying this via DoorDash because we saw decent reviews. I ordered $30 worth just myself (tempura shrimp app (to share), kung pow chicken and XLB). My fam ordered potstickers to share, chow mein, etc. I'll leave reviews for only what I ate. - Tempura shrimp was just okay. No real flavor. Prob better on site. Super tiny and skinny. Mostly all batter. Also no sauce to dip. 4/10. - Kung pow chix made me mad. lol I meal prep and I know oz of protein. There wasn't even 2oz of meat in the entire container of onions and other veg. The flavor was lacking. Not remotely spicy. I'm sorry but for $13+ put some flavorless chicken in there. I could at least put chili paste or something on it. Basically paid for a bowl of onions and bells. 3/10 - xlb. Terrible packaging squishing them together so they break when you try and eat one. Super tiny. Missing so many ingredients. No scallion, no ginger in the pork. What is going on?? Again, super skimpy on the protein and hardly any soup. Flavor lacking. Also I've never seen an xlb served without black vinegar and ginger. Thankful those are staples in my house. 2/10.

Yelp
The place is so tiny but quaint, the staff so very friendly. The food.... I ordered a rice noodle curry dish man so delicious. Both my parents items off the senior menu and here we are tonight eating the leftovers. Highly recommended, not good for a large group but very good food

Phil F.

Yelp
Truly the best value for your $$. Large servings of great food. I highly recommend this restaurant

Yelp
Wow! So glad we stopped. I was a bit skeptical when I saw it was in a strip mall. As soon as I opened the door I knew it was going to be amazing! Delicious food. Fresh, authentic flavors and super quick with huge portions. Husband and I shared. We ate until we thought we'd burst and still had enough left over for lunch. The staff was friendly and polite. We will definitely be back!

Jayden Z.

Yelp
My family have been eating here for years and it's probably the best Chinese food in town with the food being perfectly seasoned. The service was good and all the staff are super friendly towards all customers. I definitely recommend this place if you are in town.

Debbie New S.

Yelp
Great food at reasonable prices. Lots to choose from, and the portions are generous. Family owned restaurants generally serve up a more authentic meal than do chain establishments, and this one is no different.

Rebecca V.

Yelp
Tasty food and helpful staff. Also very clean. Unexpected quality for such a small establishment

Victoria O.

Yelp
first time here, we'll be back. Food was excellent with large portions. service was prompt and courteous. Restaurant was clean and quiet at lunchtime. we're anxious to try other dishes.

Yelp
We didn't go in and sit down to eat. Instead, we took it to-go. The food is very delicious! They give a soy sauce packet to.

Barbara F.

Yelp
They were busy, but very careful to make my dish gluten free. Everything was tasty and great! I appreciate they make everything from scratch and don't include tons of additives like the big local chain. Easy to order online for pickup as well, so we're going to try that method tonight.
google avatar

Christina F.

Yelp
Food is great and fresh. Love the veggie dishes, always tastes fresh. The staff are very friendly as well.
google avatar

Aimee L.

Yelp
Still good sort of. We returned to try the orange chicken, wonton soup, garlic broccoli and vegetable yakisoba. $65 for 4 dishes! I would definitely get the wonton soup again. Lots of dumplings, lean pork and veggies though I wish they'd use something other than zucchini. Broccoli was perfect. The yakisoba was good but a little heavy on the soy sauce. Orange chicken was just plain not good. I like how they separated the chicken from the sauce making it super easy to reheat but the batter is meh and the sauce just tastes like gelatinized sugar. Soup for sure and maybe snag some of that broccoli next time. What will the meat loving bf order? No clue!
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Staff could be nicer and the cook could use less salt but overall it's a solid buy we constantly go here for takeout and the food is most always spot on generous portions help

King B.

Yelp
This place is bad not coming back orange chicken sour and the only thing good. Is the beans terrible place definitely 1 star and I mean it.

Debbie B.

Yelp
Just sitting here with the family, noticed that they are using AC now! The food is hot and fresh, the service is quick, nothing fancy. I love that they have Chinese cooking shows on for me to enjoy as we eat. Huge portions, great for lunch tomorrow
google avatar

Erin S.

Yelp
Impressive fast service. Efficient in taking order, bringing out soup and food quickly. Extremely clean. Egg flower soup is amazing! BBQ PORK delicious! Green Bean Chicken super yummy! Add this to you new favorite place!
google avatar

Scout S.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh Chinese food (Americanized). Excellent customer service. I love that they have their own delivery staff and cars and don't rely on Uber eats or door dash. Great portion sizes (we always have leftovers). We are actually awaiting our to-go order right now! This is our go to when we are tired and don't want to cook.

Stasio C.

Yelp
We travel all over and this place on Andreson in Vancouver is the best food ever! They let you make special requests.
google avatar

John K.

Yelp
Great food, and value. Veteran owned. My favorite Asian restaurant in Washington. Great place to dine in or take out. A must try
google avatar

Ryan S.

Yelp
I ordered house yakisoba, mixed veggies with chicken, schezuan beef, hot & sour soup, and egg flower soup. Yakisoba and mixed veggies were good but the others were kind of bland. I will try again because to be honest it was not that bad. I have been trying to look for a go to Chinese spot and they are on my list now. Don't really have anything bad to say other than some dishes were bland but I will try other dishes and see what I like from here. Cause I know some places would make a good fried rice and some make good chow mien, etc, ect.. so I will find out what dish they make good here.
google avatar

Susan R.

Yelp
We love going to Taste of China. The food is always fantastic. The service is always fast.

Gisela C.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal here, everything is great and delicious. The place is cozy and when ordering take out, I neve have to wait.
google avatar

Brook B.

Yelp
Very, very good food! Hands down the BEST BBQ Pork! I have been extremely satisfied with everything I have ordered from here!

Kathy S.

Yelp
Food and service was impeccable as always!! Our waitress always remembers us and what we like to order!! Highly recommend this yummy place!!
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Oh man they have great food, great flavor! But they don't trim fat off their meat. So biting into a fatty piece of chicken fat for kung pow chicken made my stomach turn and I tossed it all out. I ate multiple bites and the only taste and texture I got was straight chicken fat. It was gross. And I think they are a great place, but please trim your meat!

Yelp
We have been passing by this restaurant for several years, I recently took a look at all the rave reviews on Yelp, and decided to have a visit since we were at Home Depot during lunch. They have take out as well as sit down at the restaurant. We opted for the lunch special for $10.99. It includes pork fried rice and a choice of hot and sour soup or egg flower soup. I got the bbq pork (char su) , Mongolian beef and hot and sour soup. The hubby got the sweet and sour chicken, pork chow menu, and hot soup soup. The soup was ok, it could have been a bit more sour. Mongolian beef had way too much gravy and too little green onions. Maybe it needed a touch of hot chili oil that was available on the table, so I drizzled some over the beef, meh. The bbq was lean, too lean for for charsu, drizzled some hot chili oil on that, maybe some mustard should the trick. None of that improved the flavor. Took a piece of the sweet and sour chicken from the hubby. It had a thick batter coating on the strips. Usually Chinese battered food's don't have this thick coating. The pork chow mein has a lot of bean sprouts, couldn't find the mein, turned out it was skimpy bits of fried noodles like La Choy fried noodles that was in a can. I think we should have gone to Panda that was across the street or Costco for a hot dog. After leaving the restaurant, there was a taste in my mouth of old oil, I think it was the chili oil. Excellent service.

Adam R.

Yelp
The food is top notch and the service is amazing. They make you feel so appreciated and welcome. We eat out pretty often and the service always stands out when we come here. We've tried other Chinese restaurants in the area and this is by far our favorite. The only one we choose to go to becuase of how nice everyone is.
