As you walk in the aromas make your mouth water, anticipating all the delicious flavors to come! The food was made quickly with no errors, which in today’s food service industry is a rare gem indeed. Although you can do carry out they have a nice sitting area. It was a pleasure to visit and I plan to go again as soon as possible.

Enjoying the delicious, very fair priced, food from the same family for over 3 decades. They have a special touch with their rice that is better than any other restaurant I tried...

Google
Ok it may sound crazy 🤪 I'm from New York and ever since I move to TN I've been looking for place that makes food like the one a had there and I finally found it delicious food friendly atmosphere and the stuff is there willing to help and answer my question and the service 15 to 20 minutes i love it been there twice in the last two days and will continue going there for my chinese food in the future

Google
The food was good, but the service is terrible, they should be friendlier and serve with better attention, a restaurant that does not know how to serve the customer should not have a higher rating, for the attention I will not come back here anymore

A couple of weeks ago I came for lunch special. Ordered garlic beef that comes with vegetables. I don’t know what tier they have when ordering beef but it was disgusting, the texture was not that of beef, the soup, veggies, brown garlic sauce were also bland with taste of old oil. None of it was salvageable. I had to chunk it in the trash. I would have put 0 stars if possible. I used to go here years ago and it was tasty but the past few times alas not so. I recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

I saw a cockroach in this establishment today and whoever was cooking today needs to be fired. All the food was burnt. And the lo mien had terrible flavor. I wont be coming back.

Google
Whole ordering experience felt rushed, first time to this place and did not feel very welcomed. My girlfriend’s order had no white sauce or crab that was supposed to be included and more vegetables than meat. Her scallops were not done cooking either. This food is going to get her sick! They did not include enough chili sauce and when I requested my meal to be spicy, it was still bland on the spice scale. Was not worth tipping extra for the service and apparently takeout quality of food.

Google
Place is pretty dirty, always makes me nervous when you see that in an establishment. Food just ok. Nice folks, though

Yelp
What is there to say but if you don't like this place you don't know good food! Just kidding but seriously this place is awesome! I've been going here for a very long time and is my family and friends go to place. I live across town which is nearly an hour away but doesn't stop us from doing a pick up order! The prices are the best in town! Their lunch menu is very affordable and good portions. I love the family that runs it and they know I love their cooking! They also do party platters which we do as well. Nothing takes long for them to whip up and you to pick it up! Always hot and tasty! This place hasn't changes in flavor or have their prices changed much over the years. Great place for quality, speed, and budget. Give it a try you'll see what I'm saying and you'll find it to be one of the best Chinese spots in town!

Yelp
You absolutely need to make this a frequent spot. The food is always extremely fresh and well seasoned and flavorful, the owners are so nice and friendly and attentive and have lots of regular customers that come in and they chat and the owners talk with the regulars about how they've been which to me is amazing to see such an inter personal resteraunt. They have so many options to choose from on their menu and so many different types of food to eat. The resteraunt itself is very quaint and comfortable and has plenty of seating. Will absolutely be back for years to come

Yelp
I've been eating here since I was a kid. Good chinese food in town. The owners are friendly. My go to dishes are the beef and broccoli and lobster lo mein. Both have a good amount of flavor. The portions are big enough for leftovers. I have never had a bad experience here.
google avatar

Cassie C.

Yelp
Great fresh Chinese. Small dine in area or call in for to go. Would absolutely come back!

Yelp
Very disappointed with both the food and the service of this restaurant. I tried it the first time due to the high ratings here. BUT don't bother. They are rude on the phone and the food has gotten slowly worse over the last six months. Very Sad. I love GOOD Chinese food.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered this from door dash and was not impressed. The Chicken was overcooked and crab Rangoon was not good to me. All of it just had a different flavor than other restaurants and I was not a fan.

Ann C.

Yelp
Taste of China has such nice employees! They are always helpful and friendly. The food is consistently delicious, but the people really make you want to come back the next time!
google avatar

Yelp
The best. Very nice family own and operated Old school kind you'd find in NYC with the giant paper menus I've never had anything I didn't love
google avatar

Harold B.

Yelp
Amazing service and food, a nice hidden gem. Came on a holiday and I've never needed another Chinese restaurant. I usually order to go but there is inside seating. Honestly my favorite local spot!
google avatar

Carroll V.

Yelp
Safe service, yes, among the best in the town. Takeout only. Face coverings in use and touches are limited. Exactly what I am looking for m--if you can't see safe with your customers, I will go elsewhere. Always friendly service and fresh made dishes. Ample servings, reasonable prices. My favorites are the pork fried rice and Triple Delight! Kung Pao Chicken is recommended too
google avatar

Yelp
Hole in the wall mainly cooking Chinese take-out. They do have several tables and occasionally people will dine in. The male owner (I assume he's half of the couple that own the restaurant) seems to be a character. He speaks decent english and has learned some colloquialisms that he throws in there while conversing with customers. Not a bad wait when I can sit there and listen to this! The food is quick and decent for take-out. It is made with the American palate in mind; not too spicy or out on the edge with unusual flavors or aromas. The Kung Pao is good. The Lo Mein is also good. The combo meals come with an egg roll and rice but the main course is a smaller portion. The entree meal is a larger portion and only comes with white rice. I found both meals to be filling so you will need to make a decision about what you feel like eating and order accordingly. Also, if you are coming here expecting authentic Chinese food, don't. It is a take-out place catering to the local population. It is what it is and they give the bulk of their customers what they want.

Yelp
It's been a few years since I've eaten here. This was my go to place for Chinese Food. Service is great ambiance is fine. I loved the General TSOs chicken and had all their fried rice. Their egg rolls were good as well. It was reasonable price. You got what you paid for here. You could tell they cared about the customer and the quality of food they prepared.

Yelp
Absolutley the best Chinese food in Murfreesboro! Growing up in NY I had endless choices of authentic chinese food so I naturally looked for the right place when my family moved here. I've been going to this restaurant for seven years now and I can say it's honestly the best Chinese food and rivals any place I ever ate at down on Canal Street back home. They make it when you order from scratch so it's always really fresh, the portions are large, and the prices are good. The owners and employees are awesome! They give the best customer service, and they are fast and efficient. I don't go anywhere else. I highly recommend Taste of China to anyone looking for authentic Chinese food.

Yelp
I've only eaten in at this location once, but I have ordered to go probably 50 times. I love their boneless bbq pork spareribs, and the fried potstickers with hot chili oil which I take home and mix with sweet rice vinegar. The owners are always very friendly and go out of their way to do more than what is expected. I really like their attitude and kindness. Especially when many restaurants take their customers for granted. This place is always striving to please the customer and give great service. I guess I may be kind of bland because that's all I ever order here. My kids have ordered the orange chicken in the past and loved it, but we tend to stick with the things we love. Other than that, I like the fact that you get quality food at a good price
google avatar

Monica J.

Yelp
First time trying this establishment and I will definitely be using them again for takeout. Ordered beef with broccoli, fried rice and egg rolls. Everything was ready when I arrived, was hot and tasty. Will return
google avatar

DiAveion M.

Yelp
They give good portions, and the food is generally good but did not taste like our usual Chinese takeout.

Leigh H.

Yelp
this food was awful. we put it in the garbage. we had chicken fried rice and egg drop soup. so we had a variety. do not waste your money.
google avatar

Robyn M.

Yelp
This is the only place we get Chinese from. The food is amazing, and the portions are sized to share. We've been going here for 20+ years and it's always been consistently fresh, quick and accurate. Couldn't ask for better.

S S.

Yelp
Ordered delivery and was disappointed w/ the amount spent. The food was ... bland. There was not much flavor in all the items I ordered. The fried rice barely any meat in it and was not fried much. The rice seemed to be undercooked. This town does not offer much Chinese take-out, but this one is not one of the good ones. Definitely not ordering from here again - lesson learned

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Your basic chinese menu. Takeout. Ask for spicy or is pretty bland. Good and hot. Looks family run.
google avatar

Annie C.

Yelp
My family and I have been coming here for years! The food is seriously so good. The boneless ribs are spectacular. Definitely worth a try!
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Chinese food everything is fresh delicious and hot. Everything was super friendly and they're taking Covid precautions, definitely will be back

Yelp
My husband and his family grew up eating and they raves about this place so much. I am very particular when it comes to Chinese considering I grew up with my parents owning their own Chinese restaurant for 20 years. I have to say comparing all Chinese restaurants I've ever tried in my life this place is far from what's on top of my list. I tried their pot stickers, beef and broccoli, lobster lo mein, and general tos. Pot stickers: average, would prefer them to pan fry them a little longer so it would be a little crispy on the bottom of the dumpling. Beef and broccoli: ehhh. Taste like they coat their broccoli with flour. The dish tasted very bland. Lobster lo mein: only a few pieces of lobster. Absolutely no veggies at all and very oily and bland. General tos: this was probably the only thing that I liked from here. They made it pretty on point and I like that they add small diced onions and broccoli. Overall, not my cup of tea for Chinese. Or maybe because we ordered on Christmas Day and they were swamped. Maybe they didn't want to make the food delicious tasting lol

Tami C.

Yelp
Maybe it was an off day for this place. Server was nice but the food was not great. Ok I guess if you are in a hurry to just grab something and go and your not particular to having freshly made food.

David M.

Yelp
we'll this is the first and last for these guys chicken curry chicken under cooked along with what looked like two full onions. sweet and sour chicken looks and taste like it was cooked three days ago and refried just to heat it up. Same thing with the pork. sweet and sour sauce is mostly sour and watered down, literally like water. egg rolls taste freezer burnt then fried. Egg drop soup is decent but really oily. My family spent over 65$ for this I'll spend an hour tomorrow of work to pay for it, seriously ridiculous.
google avatar

Melodie E.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and will continue. Food is great compared to other local takeout Chinese places! Very friendly and love the loyal customers! Highly recommend!

Connie M B.

Yelp
No not ever again! Service was sad, seriously she looked so sad! No flavor, under cooked and greasy! One and done! Never mind the smell!
google avatar

Adam W.

Yelp
The Roast Pork w/ angel hair and sesame chicken combination was really good. I enjoyed the fried dumplings, but the dumpling sauce was a little too salty.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Not the best Chinese food I've ever had for sure. The sauce on the General Tso's chicken was way too thick and was closer to snot in texture than a sauce. I'll give them a few stars though cause at least it was a good portion and they were really fast
google avatar

Linsey M.

Yelp
I just moved to the area and haven't had Chinese take out this good in YEARS. we've only been here a few days and already have taken out food twice. It's so good!
google avatar

Suzannah C.

Yelp
Went looking for a takeout place and read the reviews of this one it seemed like the spot. Food was okay. Lots of veggies to meat. The guy who served was so nice and fun and helpful. He talked with us about Chinese culture and our lives and was so attentive. I wish that the food had gone better for me for his sake. But. About 45 minutes into the meal I felt a deep low grumble and you can guess what occurred shortly thereafter; lots of praying on the toilet.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Very rude employee and terrible customer service. Too many other excellent options to have to put up with this sort of thing. This customer they will not get back!

Carole R.

Yelp
This place used to be good but our last 2 meals were not. The shrimp egg rolls were terrible and the Moo Shu was worse. House special combination fried rice was just OK. We won't be returning.

Claire B.

Yelp
Great service, great food and great prices. My husband and I ordered take out tonight and everything was delicious. Steamed dumplings and orange chicken dinner combo were great. There were definitely more veggies than shrimp in my shrimp and snow pea dish but that's to be expected. Still tasted great. We were very full for a great price and we even had leftovers! We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Carlos S.

Yelp
Only place we'll go to get Chinese out here. Food is always outstanding!
google avatar

Phebea S.

Yelp
We've been eating here for over 15 years. I love chatting with the restaurant owners as well. They know our whole family that goes eat there! Lol

Double M.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, but the food wasn't great. Orange chicken wasn't what was expected and menu didn't do a very good job detailing what it was. Lesson learned, never assume how an item will be made. Sweet and sour chicken was ok, but chicken was over cooked and dry.
google avatar

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
I love the food. I love the prices. I love the people that work here. If you want the freshest, most delicious Chinese food you've ever tasted in your life...try Taste of China! Oh, and please bring cash. I hate the thought of VISA taking one more dime from this awesome little restaurant. Support local businesses! :)
google avatar

Jeff D.

Yelp
Best Chinese food anywhere. I've been coming here for 20 years. Well worth the drive across town. The beef in the beef and broccoli is always very tender. Wonton soup is the best! Everything is great. About five, ten minutes, OK?
google avatar

Kris H.

Yelp
Taste of China and Far East were the very first "Chinese" restaurants in the 'Boro. It's a mom and pop joint that has The Best "Chinese" food in this town. I've been going for years and remember watching their (now grown) little ones bring me some extra Dumpling Sauce for my egg rolls. Sure, Taste of China offers many of the same dishes found in the ubiquitous "Chinese" joint these days, but lots of their menu items do differ in some very yummy ways! Let's talk about the Pork Fried Rice. It's the Best. Anywhere. It's full of chucks of pork and veggies, and also comes standard with many dishes. Their Hot & Sour Soup is loaded with all kinds of goodies, is absolutely bursting with flavor. It's unlike any I've had anywhere else and blows them all away. I have to mention the Fried Chicken Wings... Oh wow! Not like the Colonel makes 'em. And there is definitely no sauce on them. They flavor them with some kind of magical Asian seasoning that makes me love them. Same goes for the Steak on a Stick (I think they renamed it Teriyaki)...so delicious, especially with a little dab of hot mustard. Oh, and the General Tso's Shrimp is crazy good. I could keep going... I wish I lived next door to Taste of China!

Brian B.

Yelp
This is our favorite place for Chinese in the Boro. We have been going here for years. The house special angel hair noodles and sesame chicken are what we generally get. The hunan shrimp is also great dish if you are lookiMy for something a little spicy. Enjoy!
google avatar

Sid N.

Yelp
I've been coming here for 12 years and they have been serving consistently great food. The menu is standard Chinese take-out. I love the General Tso's chicken here. It's always crisp with a perfectly balanced sauce. The shrimp items are my second favorite. I've never had any of the beef or tofu dishes but my dinner companions seem to enjoy them very much.
google avatar

Mary F.

Yelp
Food was beyond delicious and it arrived faster than a fast food drive up! Very surprised! Vegetarian friendly too.
google avatar

Tara S.

Yelp
Lots of food for your money, but so far everything that we've ordered has been pretty bland. The third star is for the value, but I'm not impressed with the food so I won't be back. I'd say we've ordered here about 4 times now and it hasn't changed.
google avatar

Ilsa B.

Yelp
Super affordable and delicious! The lunch specials are huge and fresh, and the staff is super friendly. Excellent service, and casual atmosphere. Go here if you're hungry and broke
google avatar

Traci W.

Yelp
First time there. Easy parking . Decor was a little on the drab side . It felt to be clean . Bottled drinks, I'm more of a fountain Coke drinker. Lots to choose from on the menu and good prices . Lunch menu was a great deal with entree, soup and rice . More of a self service feel . I think it's a great take out joint . I had the teriyaki beef on a stick -5 stars! The wontons were not what I was expecting but you get 10 of them . We tried the spare ribs . The hot and sour and wonton soups were good . Overall I would go back for take out for beef and spare ribs . Defiantly worth a try. I saw it had mixed reviews but as long as you know it's your typical strip mall restaurant you should be good.
google avatar

Odessa S.

Yelp
Very bland food!! What little of the sweet and sour sauce they did give had a funny taste almost like perfume, the shrimp fried rice was totally tasteless. The fried wings were just okay and the egg drop soup again bland and was only given at the most 6 fried noodles for the soup. I only went here because my regular place was closed, big mistake and waste of money.
google avatar

Eibbed H.

Yelp
In one word...AWESOME! I have been going to this restaurant for years and they make the best sesame chicken that I've ever had. No one comes even close. Their hot and sour soup is also amazing. The portions are generous and their prices are more than reasonable. When it comes to taste and value - Taste of China is at the top.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
We have frequented this place for almost 20 years. And we gladly drive 700 miles to eat here now that we've moved away. Their soups are superb. Give the Szechuan bean curd a try - you will not be disappointed.
