I recently visited Taste of India and was absolutely impressed by the food! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and perfectly spiced. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, while the paneer tikka was grilled to perfection with a smoky, savory taste. The naan bread was fresh, soft, and a perfect companion to the curries. Portions were generous, and everything felt homemade and authentic. I also appreciated the variety of vegetarian options—they really didn’t skimp on flavor. Overall, a fantastic dining experience for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Another very well prepared and healthy dinner. We (in-laws included) have been dinning here for years. Food is always well prepared and healthy. My wife and I enjoy wine, appetizers (full of vegetables) and normally a generous portion of fresh salmon and lamb. Please support this fine establishment. The food industry in general is suffering price and rent inflation plus competition from fast food establishments. If you have eaten there before, come back, if considering consistently good food in a tasteful atmosphere, please return. First time coming here with my family and friend. Overall I would definitely come back! The butter chicken was amazing and their naan and fresh and delicious. Their pricing for the naan seems a bit overpriced to me, $4.95 each garlic naan, but definitely delicious regardless. I recommend this place, and on the weekends the have a buffet style setup. I’d definitely come back to check that out. The service was amazing, checked on us frequently.

We went for dinner and tried a bunch of different dishes. The garlic naan was very good, but the curries were too oily for my liking.

I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was really disappointing. Unfortunately, the food during my visit was not very enjoyable. The dishes lacked flavor and didn’t taste as fresh as I had hoped. The presentation was nice, but the overall taste could definitely be improved. The staff didn’t check on us at all, and we had to ask multiple times for basic things like water and napkins. For the price they charge, I expected way better quality and service. I won’t be returning, and I definitely cannot recommend this place based on my visit.

I attended for an event and the food was extremely good! All was seasoned to perfection and I appreciated that the spicey level could be set from zero up all the way up to extreme. Great portion sizes as well as friendly staff and owner. Will definitely be ordering again!

Really loved the food here. The Mango Chicken was amazing — sweet, spicy, and the chicken was super tender. Great flavors and nice service. Will definitely come back! Highly recommend.

Ordered thru uber eats. Got buttered chicken, with rice.... found dead bugs in the rice, i won't be coming back. EDIT. do not trust their response, i legit opened the container of rice and saw the dead bug pop out. It's not a spice or whatever... it's a fly. And the fact they said "it's never on us" should be a major red flag.

Vibe: 3/10 - at the lunch buffet, it was dead silent and you could only hear the sounds of forks scraping and people chewing around you. Did not help the vibe! Awful and taste terrible bland tandoor was steamed we've been here before and then at the time food was delicious so either new owner or chef or both go to Rangoli or somewhere else terrible terrible terrible crappy food at taste of India

27 confirmed health violations! TWENTY SEVEN! A lot of them are serious and involve bad temperatures! i used to like the food here, but that's absolutely unacceptable! i'm extremely upset at the lack of care and/or knowledge at this place that's contributing to this many bad violations. GET REAL!

Amazing family friendly weekend buffet that has become our favorite. Great variety. The butter chicken is mild enough for kids and some of the other dishes have plenty of adult spice.

This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants in northern Virginia! My wife and I have been ordering from here since 2015 and continue to do so even after we moved further away because the food is just that good. The owner is wonderful to work with, I had a small problem with my order that was probably my fault, but he was very understanding and took care of it, customer service is top-notch! If you want excellent Indian food stop searching around and just place an order from taste of India, you won't regret it!

We have tried a lot of places before but not like this place. It's amazing! The service is incredible and the food?... tastes just like homemade Indian food! There is an ambiance of food like buffets. 10/10.

4.5. We ordered takeout and everything was ready in like 20-25 minutes. We got garlic naan, biryani, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, and tandoori chicken. Everything was pretty good. The restaurant was a nice establishment with good seating. I didn't care for the tandoori chicken because it was kind of dry... but everything else was delicious!!

Such a friendly place we celebrated a birthday with 12 people and the staff was so accommodating and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious!

Flavorful Chicken Tikka Masala and Achari Murgh Tikka. Jenny was helpful in recommending me the Achari Chicken Tikka. It was perfectly cooked and golden brown. She also got me some complementary Mint Cilantro Chutney. This place is tastefully decorated inviting colors with the iconic Taj Mahal Picture at the center wall by the Buffett area.

Excellent food, the garlic naan was especially delicious, as was the chicken Vindaloo. Even spice level 3-4 was spicy for me as a non Indian. I cannot imagine how spicy "10" or "Indian hot" is. Service was friendly. One sour note- my wife forgot her take home container and they threw it away immediately after we left! She drove back immediately but it was already thrown away. Why not hold it for a few minutes to see if we come back? Or chase us down in the parking lot? There was none of that. They obviously knew we wanted to take it home. So that was frustrating.

Food was delicious and fresh. So far, we have catered for 3 different events and our guest loved it. Restaurant in-dinning was also an amazing experience. Pricing is very good compared to other restaurants. Highly recommend

Visiting here from New York. The place has a nice ambiance with the wine and Indian culture decor.Bhakta was my server and he has excellent customer service. Food was also wonderful. Food tasted amazing, just make sure to let them know how spicy you want your food as some of the food is really spicy and will make you sweat, but still it is good. I highlight recommend you come here if you are in the mood for fine Indian cuisine :)

Food was very good. Lots of variety. Service was good. Wait staff was very attentive and responsive. Prices are reasonable. There is a good buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. Our favorite dishes are: Tandoori tid bits Pistachio chicken korma Chicken vindaloo Has good selection of beers.

Food was amazing, the butter chicken and naan were fresh and delicious as a evening snack. The service was ok. And the ambiance was also ok. Would recommend.

The food and flavor was absolutely incredible! The service was friendly and fast. So good!!! Don't sleep on the chicken 65 chef's special! It is to die for!

Food is average but they can't handle spice at all. They use a standard of spice rating 1 to 10, even with 5 they serve super spicy foods. Had biryani yesterday with 5 and it's still burning . Pricewise in Alcarte it's on the higher side, they try to match loudoun or fairfax county rates where the food is very average. Weekend buffet is cheaper but very less items are offered. Last time there was not even a biryani or a mutton available. Lastly in terms of hospitality, the servers are good. But the restaurant owner seems arrogant and no sign of politeness. Due to lack of indian food options in Gainesville area, we went there many times. But now it's time to avoid completely and picks others.

Went to their lunch buffet and it was quite disappointing. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly great. At $20, it should have been better, so I'd stick to their dinner service. Pakwaan sells a lunchbox for $15 that has plenty of food and better flavor.

Excellent Indian food in Gainesville. Service is a little slow but worth the wait -- the butter chicken, tandoori shrimp and combination bread basket was perfect for me and my husband. I'm usually able to eat spicy foods but the 4 to 5 range was a little too much for us; i would go down to a 2 or 3 next time. Highly recommend!

This was one of my favorite spots until today. Ordered veggie side, aloo ghobi, and butter chicken. As I was chewing the veggie side, I had to spit out something hard. Come to find out it was a nail. I'm so disappointed and disgusted. Never coming back!

waitress/hostess was great I ordered chicken korma level 2 spice which was very yummy, will probably go up a level of spice next time husband ordered butter chicken level 2 spice he also enjoyed it a lot garlic Naan was a winner for sure too

The 4 stars is for the food. I showed up having ordered through Yelp as I normally do and the gentleman behind the counter chided me for doing so stating their restaurant has to pay Uber Eats 35% whenever we order through Yelp. I don't mind ordering directly from the places website but the gentleman could have been a lot nicer about how he treated me when I arrived to pick up my food. The food was good enough I will probably order from them again hopefully next time they will be nicer.

The buffet was lacking flavour and salt...also, they need to get rid of the sprinkles, it's supposed to be coloured fennel seeds.

I was going to give it 4 stars until.... We ordered the chicken curry with a spice level of 3 out of 10.... I kid you not, the spice level felt like 7 or 8. We flagged the manager and server to let them know and their response was "oh". That was it. So I requested them to exchange it and they very reluctantly and hesitantly agreed. And when they got it back it felt like the same dish they took back, with just more water and a little cream added.. it was still super spicy! Butter chicken I'd give 5 of 5! Delicious!! Malai kofta and tandoori chicken were really good too!

We loved this restaurant! The employees were really nice and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious! The thing that stood out the most is that, we arrived a bit after they closed but they told us take our time and to eat for as long as we needed to. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

i had occasion to try the Buffet. It was excellent so I really wanted more but no buffet during the week days. I settled for Lamb Vindaloo. but it was so hot and cost $20.for just Rice and sauce. No vegetables or bread included. I can't eat it because it's 80% Hot Sauce. Perhaps I will use it as hot sauce for other dishes. They ought to be shot with s--- and dared to stink for this shenanigan!!!! I hope my friends in Gainsville do not go there as I recommended.

Was seeking a new Indian restaurant after closures and change in management of others that made a good Saag in western PWC and have been back twice! Great flavors and wonderful service is what brought us back. The Lamb Jalfrezie is incredible, my new favorite dish! Go give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Taste of Indian is our favorite Indian restaurant in the gainesville/haymarket area. The food is always fresh and delicious. The chicken tikka masala is one of the best I've had to date. The garlic naan is to die for! I had the chicken tandoori last night and it was delicious. The service is always great. The servers and hosts are always welcoming and friendly. The ambiance is peaceful and welcoming. It is always clean inside. I recommend taste of India to everyone !

Great food, friendly service and fair pricing especially right now with restaurant prices soaring. We've done pick up, done in and door dash from here and it's always been great!

On Friday, December, 16th 2022, I placed an Uber eats (Delivery) order for Chicken Curry & Mattar Paneer, upon bitting into a spoonful of rice & chicken my cheek was cut by a hard jagged sharp piece of plastic. Be careful this restaurant clearly has poor sanitation standards, this piece of plastic caused health hazard.

My boyfriend and I are devoted foodies so when we came across this hidden gem tucked away, we haven't stop coming back since. Upon arrival the staff is always warm and welcoming to all walk in guests or delivery drivers, which give it such a nice atmosphere to dine comfortably in. The service is consistently timely/accurate, and to top it off the quality/quantity is always wonderful each and every time we go. We've highly recommended this place to most of our friends/families since discovering it and there's never a worry about leftovers taking up space in the fridge later on because they're usually gone by the next morning!

If I could give them negative 10 I would. Save your money and go to Fairfax or try Pakwaan in Gainesville. The waitress/hostess is a shame! She should be fired on the spot. My husband and I went for the lunch buffet this afternoon. She was missing when we entered, we waited for 7 mins and seated ourselves. When she saw us there she literally asked us to get up from the table and go back to the entrance so she could seat us - never in my life have I seen this. She then gave us a tiny table when the entire restaurant was empty, when I requested a bigger table she said they were all reserved. We were there for 1.45hrs No one ever came in. So that was a lie. She never once came to attend to us, but came back 5 times to get the check. I had to finally tell her to leave us alone and let us Atleast finish our meal. The food: 1. Dry, cold and just scarps left 2. No one was bothered to refill the rice/naans 3. Gulab jamun was cold and dry 4. Channa from the appetizers was uncooked - which is actually not acceptable because uncooked Garbanzo beans is not safe to consume. All in all, with the food being mediocre, atleast if the service was decent it would be a bearable restaurant. How ever the hostess/waitress was terrible and the food under par, never returning. What a shame! Yuck.

This is my favorite Indian food place in NOVA, and definitely in my top 3 overall. Weekend buffet serves all of my favorites. I eat here once or twice per week. Never a bad meal, the food is good and the quality is continually consistent.

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the area. Everything here is consistently delicious and high quality. The curries are always hot and flavorful, the naan and pakhora are soft and warm, and don't forget to treat yourself to a tasty lassi! Great customer service and the ambiance is beautiful if you dine in.

We had the lunch buffet and it was excellent. Everything was delicious and fresh with a lot of selections. My wife loved the carrot pudding and I'm sure we'll be back soon. The staff was friendly and always kept everything topped off and took used plates very quickly. Great place, give it a try. Steve

Mango chicken is the best. This place is hidden pearl best restaurant in town. They had a lunch buffet before Covid (was great) but don't know still doing it call before.

The outside looks deceiving because inside it was decorated well and a bigger restaurant than you'd think. The food was soo soo delicious! I'd say it was a win for Indian food close to our home.

Yummy!!!! Comfortable:-) enjoyable. Empty - go there. Probably the best saag paneer I've ever had.

I love Indian food. We are glad that we stopped over and enjoyed a delicious lunch there. The place is spacious and clean. We had channa masala and kadai paneer and pudina paronthas. I highly recommend the peshwari naan - absolutely fantastic. Thanks for delicious food.

Arrived to pickup my order today at 1140 only to be told they ran out of rice and I would need to wait. Order was suppose to be ready at 1130. I asked to speak with a manager but no manger on duty. I ended up canceling the whole order which was lunch for coworkers. Girl at the front didn't think it was a big deal. She told me all of the rice was put out on the buffet...Will not go again
