They have "goat"!!!! That's an automatic good sign.
We ordered all kinds of good appetizers and the standard mains. We got samosa, a vegetable and a potato one. A naan with lamb. A maulligatawany soup. A goat curry and a chicken tikka masala. A chai tea, if you don't want sugar in it, need them let them know ahead of time otherwise you will get it already sweetened.
The samosa's were very good, it was the first time I tried the potato one, yum. The naan with lamb was a new one for me too, that was new and different and tasty,
The soup was a new experience for my pal, she never had it before and she ended up killing it, . As usual every restaurant makes it different and these guys are no exception, I'm used to the lentils being more dissolved and this is a first where kidney beans were used along with diced chunks of chicken being used,
The goat curry, yum, much better than lamb, the meat is much more firm than pork, beef or even lamb.
The chicken tikka masala used white meat, yucko. I just wish people stop using nasty white meat period other than for feeding animals and compost. The chicken tikka was also a little sweeter than what I'm used to probably due in part to the tomatoes also.
We got to meet the new owner, Dave, he is real enthusiastic and excited to find out how his dishes fared, he went to every table to personally check on what the diner's thought of the food. We didn't hold back on letting him know that we throughly enjoyed the meal with the slight exceptions like the sweetness of the chicken tikka masala.
What a wonderful place to dine
