Taste of Mazar Afghan food truck

Honestly expected much much better seeing the reviews. Tried their chicken and lamb mix over rice and didn't find it that much tasty! The lamb meat was totally bland without any flavors! Chicken was okay.

Fantastic Afghan food, if you like spicy get their hot sauce in the side. This would become a regular if I lived here. For sure!

I passed by this truck many times on my way back from Jersey City and always wanted to try their food. So stopped to try it out this week. The service was very friendly and prompt. Thankfully there was no line but they allow you to order ahead on text or online. I ordered beef steak on wrap, eggplant on plao and chapli kabab on palao... All were great. I would've liked my chapli kabab to be more tender though. Would definitely come here again.

Terrible delivery. Food quantity was scant. Chicken and ribeye both missing pieces and very little. Chicken seasoning was very odd and weird. Half the plate was bread and salad. Offensive price for quantity and quality. North Jersey needs a true afghan restaurant to open in the area.

This place is so good that I can’t even check Instagram because it is such a temptation 😂 Cannot recommend it enough, haven’t had a single bad experience—and we have tried quite a bit. It’s a great amount of food, and you can text David directly for ordering or questions about opening hours. Their meat is juicy and perfectly seasoned, and even though I am not usually a fan of raisins, they are such an integral part of the pulau that I wouldn’t dream of removing them. Try them, it’s 100% worth it.

Great halal spot! The platters are all delicious and freshly made. I would highly recommend this food truck.

Excellent food, by the park. Only one thing i dnt like is raisins in the rice😅 but that can be ignored by the taste of meat. Eat has so much flavor and it sooooo good Single order of meat wont satisfy, gotta order double. Cz feel like meat quantity is little less Little expensive than rest of food trucks but it also delivers quality. Recommended when craving good authentic Afghan food.... Try red meat its best.

Came here for the 1st time with my daughter today and after 1 meal I can honestly say this is by far the best food truck in the heights. Their food is made to order so be prepared to wait a few minutes. It is totally worth it. The meat is grilled to perfection and tastes more like a restaurant than the typical halal truck meat. The guys working there are friendly and genuine. I wish them all the best and todays visit they have a new loyal customer.
