13 Offal Dishes to Try Right Now In Dallas | Eater Dallas

"This European restaurant and deli is much more than meets the eye. Located in a Plano strip mall, the location boasts authentic Polish dishes, meats, cheeses, and other goods for you to enjoy in-house or take home. For a bona fide European experience, try Kishka – a traditional Polish blood sausage sautéed with onions and bacon (with a side of sauerkraut, naturally). On weekends, the restaurant serves a traditional tripe soup called flaki. Don’t forget to browse the market on the way out." - Lauren Coe

Google
The "store" is a little too tight for my liking. And Pierogis were WAYYYY overpriced. I pick up the same ones in Chicago for half of what they charge...but...its the only place in DFW to get them that I've found. Food was really good and I like that the dining is small...would have been great for my Mom to have more authentic Polish music saying. Not like Polkas..lol..but maybe!

Google
Fantastic authentic Polish food! I'm not Polish but come from an area near Greenpoint Bklyn, which has a huge Polish population and great Polish food, which I ate a lot of! This place stacks up.

Authentic Polish food! (They even speak Polish.) Can't go wrong with the pierogis.

Small polish store + restaurant. I had the pork schnitzel when the restaurant was empty. The waiter gave me company and talked about poland with me! Very nice staff. I will be back.

Google
Absolutely the best Polish food I’ve had stateside outside of my families. I’ve eaten a lot of Polish food and this is the closest to what I ate when I was in Poland. The pierogies are amazing and so is the stuffed cabbage. Their schnitzel is also fantastic. The people are always fantastic. Also the frozen pierogies in the store are delicious if you want to take some home. One of my favorite places !

Recently, I had the opportunity to evaluate a variety of Polish dishes at a local restaurant. The menu included beef, potato and cheese, and bacon potato pierogis, as well as white borscht and a kielbasa plate. While I found the soup to be exceptional, I was disappointed with the pierogis. The beef pierogis, in particular, lacked flavor and seasoning. The cabbage rolls were also bland, with the only discernible taste being that of pepper. The blood sausage, unfortunately, was also bland. On the positive side, the pork schnitzel was both flavorful and tender, and the kielbasa was very good. The potato cakes were crispy and enjoyable, and I also appreciated the sauerkraut and onions. Overall, while there were some dishes I enjoyed, I found the majority of the food to be bland and lacking in flavor. However, I was impressed with the variety of options available and would consider returning for the white borscht or a good sausage. Our server Alex provided excellent service.

Google
Food was pretty good. Service was pathetic. Very disorganized. We were a group of 9. Tickets were mixed up and/or incorrect. 20% was added because of group of 6+. The server was adamant the 20% WAS NOT a tip!! It was the tip for our group because of the disorganization. Will never go back. Update: Business Mgr responded that we had a waitress in training. She also said the 20% WAS the gratuity.

This place has a deli and a restaurant. The food is incredible! The folks who work here are super nice and there were a few regulars the evening we had dinner. Go and enjoy really great Polish dishes. Seriously, the food is that good!

Yelp
Most of the dishes are Polish style properly prepared, however on my last visit after many years of sponsoring the establishment (few owners over the years) I have few comments. Re: Traditional Stuffed Cabbage rolls As long as the cook/ owner is preparing the Polish style tomato sauce, not a spicy Mexican salsa bough in Texas for the cabbage rolls- Polish style. The traditional Polish food is mild in taste- salt and pepper only, only Hungarian goulash (gulasz), popular in Poland is spicy in taste by addition of red paprika. A selected few would eat such a spicy dish. One of the Polish servers told the new helper, who was serving me at that time, after I complained that salsa was served on the cabbage rolls, stated that it was OK in Polish. I heard her. The attitude was no acceptable. She expected the high tip as usual at the cash register. She never offered to replace the meal or apologize to me. I asked for the new Polish helper and tipped her instead. I am Polish born a Warsovian (67), and a resident of DFW area since 1977. When I decide to eat at the Polish restaurant, I expect the Polish Food, not Mexican style spice, just because the cook/ owner was lazy that day, and used bought Mexican jar of salsa over the mild tomato sauce as it should be. I had a good tomato sauce before, thus I was coming back. BTW, I have tipped the staff 25% to 30% plus always purchase additional items leaving at least $200 per visit. One would think that serving off sauce to the discriminating customer would be a huge mistake, as it was. Another friend of mine Polish (a great cook), after eating their dishes, has never been back, and It was also 3 years ago. She lives in Plano, TX as the restaurant is located. I invited her to try the food for her 80th Bday. If I wanted any spicy food, I would chose the Mexican or a Thai Restaurant. After this incident I have not been there for over 3 years. I fly to Florida to eat traditional Polish food 4 times a year, where there are no substitutes for the Polish style ingredients, and truly great chefs in several restaurants. Re: Traditional Potatoes cakes Dish was too peppery! Polish food must be neutral in taste! The restaurant is not a regional style one from one region of Poland. Needs to stay neutral in taste. Polish Patron (67) with very discriminating pallet. Dallas, TX No need for photos- In this case the photos are not worth the proverbial "1000 words" .

Yelp
Taste of Poland is so charming- a true gem that really showcases Polish cuisine. The menu is combo of traditional dishes, with pierogi that are perfectly stuffed and dumplings mouth watering! Each plate is a celebration of authentic flavors! We loved the sampler platter- ginormous variety of all the just try dishes! Sausages, pierogis, potatoes- all the good good delights! We had tip top service! The woman who took care of us was amazing! Love this place! Go see them!!!

Yelp
Fantastic food. I've been here a couple times now and will continue to frequent this restaurant. If you aren't familiar with polish food, try the "taste of Poland". It will give you a nice variety and honestly everything in it is delicious. The pierogis are (of course) wonderful, and the sausage, stuffed cabbage, and pork are all great. Can't go wrong with a potato pancake either. My most recent visit I also tried the goulash, which was a hit as well! For those that may not know, it's basically a beef stew, and it had a lot of flavor. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating, and it's a nice bonus that they have a mini polish grocery store inside. Looking forward to coming back here again soon. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Our first time so we took the suggestion to get the Taste of Poland platter to share. We were told it would take about 40 minutes to prepare so we shared a bowl of red borscht. It was a combination of sweet and sour, not something I would order again. They served our food on paper plates and I sent back the "iced tea " which was a bottle of Lipton lemonade flavored tea. Overall, it felt like we were at a Polish family home eating a meal with people we didn't know. The kielbasa and mustard were delicious and we bought some from the store before we left. Would have preferred the pierogis to be pan fried, which they charge extra for.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and try some Polish food! I don't like beets But I'm in love with the Borscht soup! The Hunter's stew is excellent and the spinach pierogis with the sage sauce. If you are there when the have the moss cake, it is a must try!

Yelp
We found one of the only Polish restaurants here in DFW! If you are looking for some delicious Polish/Eastern European dishes, Taste of Poland is a great place to try. The owners were really sweet, and you can tell they love to share their food and culture. We were so delighted by everything we ordered. We ordered the Taste of Poland, which was definitely enough food for the two of us! The restaurant is small, but definitely can accommodate parties of all sizes if they out a few tables together. The restaurant also has a cute little Polish deli and grocery store up in the storefront. After our meal, we bought some Polish tea, and cookies.

Yelp
Always a great place. If you have not come you should soon. I think I saw that they are up for sale so who knows the future. Food was great, service was excellent!

Yelp
Great polish food especially for the price. The combo meals have a lot of food and there is a nice small grocery store on site. The staff was very nice and informative on the menu.

Yelp
We had a wonderful night!! Such a special treat to get a hand made meal. I always feel special when someone cooks for me. And this place absolutely hand cooks for you!! Taste of Poland has a small grocery aisle and a restaurant side that has about 8 tables. As it is a Sat we made a reservation and our table was reserved for us. The interior was charming with a panoramic view of Main Square from Cloth Hall at St Mary's Basilica in Krakov. Right in the mood!! Because they are hand making each order be prepared to wait. We enjoyed chatting and catching up and drinking czech beer. Then the food came. And ohmigosh it was every bite superb! We had schnitzel, cabbage roll, goulash (srsly the pickle in this was just perfect), and if course pierogi. Everything perfection. And our waitress was amazing. We were just blown away.

Yelp
My husband's quote sums it up perfectly! "The food was just so good." We came in on a Saturday for late lunch/early dinner. We ordered the Taste of Poland and a side of Sauerkraut Salad we left stuffed and still had food to bring home. I am sad we didn't save room for dessert. But next time for sure. I love the little market attached.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to this place as I visited Poland and enjoyed the food. I'm giving it 3 stars, though the pork schnitzel gets five stars, the rest was mediocre at best. I was not impressed with the mashed potatoes, potato dumplings, or the shredded beets. The mashed potatoes and potato dumplings had very little flavor, the beets had no flavor other than beets. When I've had other European/Germanic style dishes, the beets were pickled or had some other flavor other than just beet. Maybe mashed potatoes and beets with no spices of any kind is a Polish thing, but it was not flavorful. So schnitzel five stars, the ambiance and the rest of the meal two stars. And no Polish beer or liquor? So total of three stars.

Yelp
Wonderful food. Wonderful people. The pieroghy are great. The kielbasa is awesome. I've been there about three or four times and will go back when I'm in the mood for home style food.

Yelp
Worth the drive to Plano!!! (I'm in Southwest FTW.) I was told to go here by a Polish friend, and it did not disappoint! I've had Eastern European food before, but this place takes it to the next level. There was just a rich depth of flavor that I didn't know could even exist. The service is slow for dining in, so if that's an issue for you, I recommend ordering it before and getting it as take out. I will definitely go back!

Yelp
I'd never had Polish cuisine until we moved to Richardson and drove past Taste of Poland. We stopped in on a Saturday evening to try and were delighted! The pierogis, schnitzel, and sausage were amazing! The polish market also has some really fun, adventurous snacks to take home. The mustard in the blue bottle is out-of-this-world and I could have eaten 5 Princes candy bars.

Wioletta T.

Yelp
Store front, fridges and deli with cold cuts are very well supplied. The sourdough bread was super fresh, candy isle didn't disappoint either. Call ahead of time to order polish staples, Wigilia dishes- a month in advance! All the staff ladies were nice, polite and helpful. Ms. Rysia helped us at the check out, making sure to wrap jars and cold cuts nicely. Overall, a great experience. I highly recommend this business.

Yelp
First, let me say that I grew up eating polish food from the south side of Chicago so that is what I know. My daughter 32 grew up eating it as well. She had a taste for some Polish food and invited me. Came here with my daughter on a Saturday night. We were excited to see if it is as good as what we have had. Well, some is and some isn't. We order the Taste of Poland since we wanted to try a bunch of things. Our server, and only server was a genuine Polish woman and she was as sweet as could be. When we placed our order she recommended the peroigis that were homemade and not 5he frozen ones from Chicago. We listened and also ordered 4 extra peroigi's pan fried. It was not a long wait and our food was delivered. We went with 5he pan fried peroigi first. They were fresh, a bit chewy, and flavorful. Just like we remember! The 2 polish sausages were the smoked ones which was never my favorite. I prefer fresh which they do not have. The pork schnitzel was amazing. We loved it. It was pan fried with the perfect breading, not too thick and it stayed attached to the pork. the cabbage roll was also delish. It was filled with lots of meat and just a wee bit of rice. Not the other way around. The #sauce completed it perfectly and wished it had more. The potato dumplings were twice the size of what we remember and not as chewy. They were however good and we are them all. I think if there were Pam fried it a bit more butter and onions they would have been perfect. There was also some small dumpling that was filled with ground chicken. They too were fresh and boiled but not our fav (never had these before). The potato pancakes were awesome. Pan fried crisp with a tender center that was so flavorful. They came with a small dollop of sour cream, which wasn't enough. We had to ask for some applesauce. Would order again for sure. The bigos was disgusting. It tasted like pig and my guess it was jarred from their market. No thank you. My memory is bigos that was fresh and sooooo good. The restaurant isn't much but you come for the food. They have a big screen tv that had music videos on with Polish subtitles. It was interesting to say the last. We also had 2 beers each. We left full and happy. I would recommend this place if you want authentic Polish food. I will be back.

Yelp
The food and service for our group of friends was very good. Lots of sausage, potato pancakes, perogis, white borscht, and other delicious Polish foods. Very fun place for a group gathering.
google avatar

Jake M.

Yelp
Service was good. Food was very lacking in any flavor whatsoever. Everything tasted the same and was very bland. I did like the little market inside.

Mark E.

Yelp
The food is amazing, the variety is stunning but the best thing about this place is the people. Try the sausage. I can NOT stress this enough, they will set you straight on some amazing food.

Lesley S.

Yelp
Pork schnitzel and sauerkraut salad . Will definitely be back. Great food and service.

Yelp
Thank you for making my mother-in-law happy. She moved down with us recently because she's starting to have some memory issues, but one of the vivid memories she does still have is all the polish food her mom used to make her growing up. It was wonderful to be able to watch her happily eat the food that reminded her of home. It was my first time eating polish food, but everything I tried was delicious, and they packed it REALLY well for take-out. When things settle down, I would love to bring my mother-in-law into the store!
google avatar

Yelp
We ate here this past weekend it the food was incredible! Honestly some of the best sausage and cutlets I've had. Authentic food and helpful, friendly staff! We'll definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend it!

Yelp
I visited Plano for a few days last week. The Taste of Poland sounded intriguing. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed both Monday and Tuesday. I had my heart set on stuffed cabbage roll s for dinner. The restaurant offers these and MANy polish delicacies on their menu. The Polish market ( deli counter, bakery and desert bar) was open. So many Eastern European treats on offer. I will definitely try it next time I am in North Dallas again!
google avatar

Stacey N.

Yelp
Phenomenal food! Excellent pleasant staff! We got the Taste of Poland dish which is a bunch of dishes (I think we had 7-8 in ours) that come in one and it's wonderful, very authentic, & fresh. I also got the potato & bacon pierogi & they were wonderful served with fresh dill & sautéed onions on top - among the best I've ever had. Loved the blueberry potato pancakes in the "Taste of Poland" platter, along with everything else in it. We were blown away by the variety & authenticity. Cute Polish flag also in the meal & free delicious chocolate bar served with it! We WILL definitely be back!
google avatar

Kristy S.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! This place is amazing! The perogies are to die for and so much flavor! If you want genuine polish food this place is a must stop!

James L.

Yelp
Amazing service and even better food. Traditional taste that will have me coming back for more.

Ruby P.

Yelp
Super hearty and delicious traditional Poland food! I never had Polish food and I really enjoyed it from this amazing place! I got "Taste of Poland", it's a little bit of everything and that all is my 2 meals. It was fun to try all of them! My fav was the fried chicken steak:) They added many herbs everywhere which I love very much! They also included a chocolate dessert which I didn't expect lol
google avatar

Peighton F.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love coming here. If you don't know what to get, have the Taste of Poland plate! It comes with over 5 different foods to try!
google avatar

Jerry K.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night with a bottle of wine in hand only to discover a sign on the wall that said "No more BYOB". We thought about it and decided to go in and try the place anyways. Ordered a polish beer which had a good flavor but nothing extraordinary. Only one girl working the whole place and it was hard to get her attention. I got a Greek salad and my wife got the dinner salad. But we only had our salads for a few minutes before our main dish came - the "A taste of Poland" sampler which we split as it was enough for two. Best sauerkraut I've ever had and the perogis and other items were top notch. Met a man from Poland eating there too so I guess it's authentic enough for him. They had a deli attached so we brought home some other sausages to bring home. Great find but I hope they bring back byob.

Yelp
After doing a 5k Saturday morning and an hour of bowling at noon I was craving some big eats for lunch. Taste of Poland had been on my radar for quite a while and I decided to go there instead of the same $10 Super Buffet places I'd been to a dozen times. As this was my first visit I couldn't *not* order the Taste of Poland platter. It took me to a happy place. Seriously. I was having a great day, but had to go to work that afternoon and this kicked a 10 up to 12. The flavors were mostly sublime with nothing have any overwhelming taste like spice or salt. The nearest thing I can muster to a complaint is my latkes could have used some applesauce, but they were so good I didn't need it. Platter contents from bottom using clock positions: 6:00 pyzy, 7:00 gołąbki, 9:00 pierogis, 11:00 kopytka, 2:00 placki ziemniaczane, 3:00 kiełbasa, 4:00 bigos.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
Our first time there. My mom's father was from Poland, and she has memories of eating homemade pierogies and potato pancakes growing up. We shared the Taste of Poland plate. It was more than enough for the two of us. Everything on the plate was great! Cabbage rolls, pierogies, potato dumplings, sausage and sauerkraut. Good Strong Coffee! The restaurant is small, and has limited hours, so reservations or calling ahead is smart. Magda and Ewa were the wait staff and they are from Poland. We also noticed many Polish people dining there. Very authentic! We will be back while my mother is visiting!

Yelp
First time eating Polish food. Pretty good. Close to German and Austrian food. Excellent kielbasa. Pork cutlet is good, basically a schnitzel. Could have used some gravy. Pork roast was very good too. Sides included red cabbage, cucumber salad, green beans, potato dumplings, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut- all good, all with a bit of a twist compare to German or Austrian. Deserts were all excellent, especially the apple pancake. My only concern is the cost. We had three entrees (one a half order), one iced tea, two coffees, and three deserts and after tax and a required 20% gratuity (we were 3 of a party of 6) our bill was $90.00.

Yelp
I just found my new favorite restaraunt. We had the "Taste of Poland" platter and everything was so amazing, we're probably going to be eating here every night this week, haha! --edit-- Just had the Knysza, might just be the best thing I've had in my life. Whoa!

Theresa M.

Yelp
The food was fresh and delish. The food was just like my polish grandmother made. I even enjoyed trying other polish dishes I had never had. The Taste of Poland platter gives you a taste of everything! I wish they did polish cooking lessons but I guess I'll have to go to Poland for that!! Potato pancakes, pierogi, kielbasa were all outstanding.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
Taste of Poland dish was great we got to try a little of everything I highly recommend it. Next time we'll know exactly what to order. The highlights were Cheese and potato Pierogis, chicken schnitzel? ( not sure what it is actually called ), Kielbasa and sauerkraut. Everything was homemade and flavorful.

Yelp
Food was wonderful, service was great and don't forget to shop the market and meat counter.

Yelp
Great food, and great take out option. I had the polish platter which was excellent. We will order from here again for sure. We ordered take out and the sizeable platter was in a very sturdy container that kept the food warm. See you next time.

Rafael B.

Yelp
Excellent food with more than generous portions. The eponymous platter has more than enough for two people to share and their beers are excellent fare. Personally love the Pierogis and their poppy seed cake.

Fret T.

Yelp
Rating it an ok as a place holder. Got there for dine in and was told all appetizers would take 45 minutes (place wasn't even full). Who knows how long dinner would've taken. I realize good help is hard to get these days so perhaps that's the problem. Just posting this to let people know what kind of wait times to expect.

Yelp
Love this place! I went here on a little dining expedition with a colleague of mine. (Full disclosure - I wrote about the visit for Plano Profile. I'm pulling a little from that piece to write this review.) Stepping inside we were transported to any number of fantastic family-owned shops we've visited around the world. On one side was a cheery restaurant, complete with polka dot tablecloths, bright red countertops and small groups of people chatting. A small market sits next to the register with stacked shelves of imported Polish foodstuffs. Tucked away in the back is a small deli counter. It's the sort of place that makes you feel welcome and at home. The wait staff is super helpful. We explained it was our first time to try Polish food and we had no idea what to order. On her recommendation, we ordered the Taste of Poland sampler platter. It offered a bit of all of the restaurant's most popular items. When it arrived, we were taken aback by the sheer amount of food on display. Truly, we could have split the Taste of Poland between three people and left feeling very satisfied. A single link of kielbasa (Polish sausage) was perfectly prepared: crispy skin on the outside, bursting with juicy flavor on the inside. The meat was very mild, a stark contrast to the smoked sausages that are common in Texas bbq country. Convenient for sharing, the pierogi (similar to ravioli) came prepared two ways, either stuffed with potatoes or beef. The beef was very tender, like it had been cooked for some time to the point of falling apart. The potatoes had a very cheese-like texture, reminding us of ricotta. Both were very tasty. Meat dumplings had nearly a quarter-inch thick doughy "skin" surrounding a pork meatball made with anise. The anise gave the pork a very slight, not overpowering, flavor of black licorice. The potato dumplings fascinated us. On the outside, they looked like a sautéed potato chunk. On the inside, they were filled with tender mashed potatoes. Amazing and delicious! A side of sauerkraut salad reminded us of coleslaw, with a slight tangy kick. I think it would be the perfect side to pair with a platter of fried chicken for an unusual twist on a traditional summer picnic lunch. Golbaki (stuffed cabbage roll) was by-far our favorite item on the platter. Both of us grew up with grandmothers who made stuffed cabbage rolls - one bite and we were transported back to our childhoods. Interestingly the golbaki came with a mushroom sauce. We're both used to a tomato-based sauce on stuffed cabbage rolls. Our waitress explained that for the Taste of Poland platter only, golbaki is served with mushroom sauce. If you want a tomato sauce, either ask when you order the platter or order it as a stand-alone entrée. The salad and golbaki were delicious with the placki ziemniaczane (potato pancakes). Our other favorite was bigos, a stew made with sauerkraut, meat, onions and dried mushrooms. The sauerkraut was very mild, though there was the signature slight tang that you would expect. The meat was finely diced and the stew's sauce was very creamy. This is the perfect dish to have on a cold day when you're feeling miserable and longing for comfort food. We didn't have room for dessert. The menu boasts of blintzes with cheese, fruit and cheese pierogis, strudels, Polish poppy seed cake and Polish-style cheesecake (the latter is very intriguing!). We're saving that for our next visit. We browsed the market shelves as we waited to pay. We found a good selection of European meats and cheeses, along with European chocolates, candy, preserves and other foodstuffs - even multiple types of borscht. YUM!!!

Yelp
was searching for Butchers in the Plano area and came across this little shop/restaurant. I went in this afternoon and met Magda and she was so nice and helpful. she introduced me to all of the meats in the cabinet and dry provisions. they have just reopened the restaurant and are open Fri and Sat from 11-8pm I cant wait to come back to try the restaurant. I purchased some bacon (which is amazing) and some sausage and mustards, They ship in from Chicago every Friday and can get anything you need as well! Everything was awesome! looking forward to tasting some of their restaurant food. Awesome job very well done!

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal food, atmosphere, and the service! This cozy restaurant along with the store on side has authentic Polish dishes & products. As you enter the restaurant, the little history about the picture on the wall- it is taken from Old Town, Warsaw. It presents a very famous monument of one of the Polish kings "Zygmunt III Waza". Behind, you can see the Polish castle. One of the many in the country! :-) I strongly recommended the traditional Polish beer "Tyskie" that has originated in around 1629, which makes it one of the oldest beers in Poland. For the food, I love "Ruskie Pierogi" which are also known as "Russian style Pierogi" or in other words "Potato-cheese dumplings". For the desert, the homemade cheesecake is an amazing option! When it comes to "Pierogis", make sure to check out the selection from the store! I must recommend the "Sweet Cheese" or "Blueberry". Both are very popular & the fruit ones are usually served during the summer time. Traditionally, both are to be enjoyed with a splash of sweetened "Śmietana" which is similar to "Table Cream" or "Sour Cream" if anything else is unavailable :-) I also recommend "Tymbark" juices, E.Wedel chocolate with hazelnuts and to be honest many, many other deserts & snacks. If you want to change things a little in the kitchen, buy "Vegeta" which is a great seasoning- especially with steamed vegetables! Whatever you order or buy, I'm hoping you'll enjoy it as much as me! :-) - Justy

Yelp
WOW! I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! I have been wanting to take our friends here for months, and the time finally came. I called for a reservation, as we had a lot of people(7), and Bre answered! I explained that I had been here before and asked if the famous "Babuni" juice and she let me know they were fully stocked. We arrived at 6:30, and Bre was there to greet us along with Asha. These girls clearly work SO hard, and they made sure we were seated and had drinks very quickly while we waited for our friends. When our friends arrived, Bre came by and sat with us to fully explain the menu, and all the great things about the variety of foods and flavors! She was so knowledgeable and very funny! We loved her! Bre and Asha brought our TOTALLY DELICIOUS food as it was ready, so there was no wait and we had time to pace ourselves. We had: Pierogi Taste of Poland(which was enough for 2!) I had the red borscht with meat dumplings And our friends had about the same, but also the meat platter and their kids had the meatballs! I have NEVER been disappointed here. I grew up eating a lot of these foods, and Bre, Asha and the staff always make us feel welcome. Bre took amazing care of us the entire night, and no one made us feel rushed to leave. We absolutely LOVE Taste of Poland for their impeccable service, delicious cuisine and clean and cozy atmosphere! WE CANNOT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!!!

Yelp
Food is flavorful. We got the platter which pretty much offers much of the items on the menu. BYOB is always a favorite. Service is lacking and the waitress was not accommodating at all--reservation for outside seating was made a month in advance, however she would not seat us outside when we arrived.

Yelp
Fantastic place. If you like Polish food and beer, stop in. Much of the information here on Yelp is incorrect. Their Facebook page is much more accurate relating to opening days and times. Besides the restaurant, they also have a Polish deli and many packaged items so you can enjoy payout Polish favorites at home.

Yelp
Great food, BUT: Can't ever look online and figure out when they are open. Everywhere says some other time. Lunch does not like it is in their program: One place says open at one PM, the other says four PM. Whattheh***is it?

Yelp
WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! We hosted a party for my mom's birthday here and they went above and beyond expectations. The food was absolutely amazing - from sausage to pierogis to pork cutlets... everything was delicious and fresh! (As someone who is Polish and has visited Poland many times, the food was truly authentic). The service was fantastic and I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Needed a taste of home. Got the polish platter to go, feeds two of us (in all actuality it could feed three!) the the food was amazing. Spot on! Just like my great grandmother and my grandmother cooked back in the day. The cabbage rolls were my favorite! Pierogi's were spot on, and the dumplings were something new to me but so good! One of my new favorites. They also have a small market that you could buy from. Hands down one of my new favorites here in Dallas the

Yelp
I love this restaurant. I grew up in a household with Ukranian food and have longed for it ever since leaving home in 1980. When I was told about this place, I couldn't believe there was a restaurant that made all of my favourites like perogies, cabbage rolls, potato pancakes and Polish sausage. It was so good. I had the huge Taste of Poland dish that was supposed to be for 2 but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I even took a whole pan of perogies home to put in the freezer for later. I will come back again to enjoy this restaurant. I love the food. Hope you enjoy it, I recommend it.
