Everything You Need To Eat In San Francisco This Summer - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"You biked over the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito—and triumphed over the crosswinds. Congrats, your prize is a raw fish fuel up. The poke lunch counter is hidden in the back of a mini-mart on Caledonia Street (the city’s “real downtown,” for those in the know), and serves the freshest limu ahi, which pairs great with seaweed salad." - ricky rodriguez, lani conway, julia chen 1, lani conway, julia chen 1, julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez, julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez, ricky rodriguez, julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez, julia chen 1, lani conway, julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday at 1:30 PM and were surprised to find that only one table was occupied. The ample seating and cozy setup gave off a pleasant Nepalese vibe. The kitchen being visible to us had its pros and cons. On one hand, we could see our food being cooked, but on the other hand, we had to tolerate some unpleasant smells. Moving on to the food, we started with the Chicken Choila and Vegetable Momos. The Chicken Choila was absolutely outstanding and a must-try. However, the Vegetable Momos were not up to par. They arrived on our table somewhat cold and lacked the freshness we were expecting. The Fish Tandoori was decent but seemed overpriced considering the quantity and it had a mild flavor. The Kerau Paneer was overly sweet and the portion size was disappointingly small. We didn't anticipate that. As an experiment, we decided to try the coconut naan, but it turned out to be too sweet. If you enjoy sweet naan, then it might be worth a try. We initially thought our order would be sufficient for four people, but due to the small portion of Kerau Paneer, we had to order another dish. We opted for the Mango Shrimp, choosing the spicy option. However, the first bite was unexpectedly sweet, followed by an overpowering level of spiciness. The staff were friendly, accommodating our requests. Overall, our experience was just okay, with the Chicken Choila stealing the show.

Small Indian restaurant with charming ambience. The Chana Masala was tasty, but the portion of chicken was surprisingly small. The coconut shrimp was equally disappointing, with a small portion of shrimp. It was nice to have the option of having the food completely without any spice. The highlight here was the friendly service.

We stopped by for lunch with family after visiting Muir Woods. When we arrived, there were only two other customers in the restaurant. We ordered onion pakoda, garlic naan, vegetable vindaloo, and the monthly special greens curry. The pakoda was good, but the vindaloo tasted like it came from a bottle and was watered down. Despite specifically requesting that the curries not be mild, both arrived quite mild. The greens curry was just okay—edible, but not memorable. The naan was average, with grainy garlic that seemed to come from a shaker. Service was decent, but the food took a surprisingly long time to arrive, especially given how few customers were there. Overall, I wouldn’t choose to dine here again.

What a quaint and cool place. Not sure why it’s closed now. We had a lovely dinner there. Delicious and authentic flavors, served in beautiful dishes. The staff is very friendly.

This is our 2nd time visiting and we really enjoy this family style restaurant! Delicious food. We tried the biryani and lamb masala today, both are very good. Their mango lassi is my fav, highly recommended!

Ordered in using doordash. Samosa chaat and veggie momos were very good. They even wrote “do not tilt” on the samosa chaat box to try to maintain the visual integrity.
