Google
Do NOT go to this tastea. Like another review stated, the chicken was all crumbs, they forgot the sauce, the rice was MUSH like literally all stuck together like a brick and the mouthfeel on it was like eating goop. What a waste of money.

Makio Aviyah

Google
Fries are really good, but chicken… looks nothing like in the picture. It’s like we got the leftover crumbs :/ I can hardly chew on them because they’re so hard and dry

Colin Huang

Google
Had a 32 oz strawberry slush. $10 with 2 add ons. Can't beat that, it was quite refreshing.

Yuri

Google
Ordered two drinks and they were switched one was med sweet and the other was full sweet and they were switched. Even forgot boba till I pointed it out. Cannot drink my jasmine milk tea because of how bitter the whole drink is. Very unpleasant experience. Have to sweeten my own drink to make it palatable.

Google
I love Tastea and don't think there is a drink that I've gotten that I didn't like. Their chicken and popcorn options are also great and pair well with the drinks (the fries too)! No complaints really, my only thing is that the spice levels are inconsistent, if not, nonexistent. I've gone to the Garden Grove location many times and when you get spice level 5, they mean it! But here, whether I get a spice level 2-5, it's all the same and not spicy at all. Hopefully they can adjust that (just my personal preference) but there should be a difference between spice levels

Google
Finally. Been waiting for this location to open. It's avocado smoothie is one of the best, and the only I could find made with ACTUAL REAL avocados. Any other place I know uses powder. They Are clean and have a pick up window from outside, so you don't have to go in if you have the mobile app. I don't think they have popcorn chicken like the other locations though.. it's a shame.

Google
Went in around noon for a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. The young lady working there was very helpful and polite (can't remember if she was the manager or assistant manager). The coffee was delicious and made quickly.

James

Google
Got a 20 oz horchata smoothie. They gave me a 30 oz cup and super watered down. Feel ripped off for the price of almost 10 dollars. Will be skipping this one for a while

Yelp
Peach me sweet tea 5/5 - this is my go to drink at tastea. I didn't ask for less sugar so it was really sweet. I like sweet drinks but it was too sweet for me. Avocado smoothie 5/5 - this was also very good. Very thick but after mixing it for a bit it is easier to drink.

Xuan H.

Yelp
I was shocked at how sweet the drinks are. My sister asked for 75% sugar & it was still really sweet. I recommend 25% -50% sugar . Floor could use some cleaning. My husband commented about how sticky it is . And here I was wondering if I need new shoes . Service is fast compared to some places.

Matty N.

Yelp
It's a vibe. The staff are pretty fast, loud, and their conversations are hilarious. I don't think they realize how loud they were but to hear their day to day stories was so funny, I give it a 5 in customer service, but for the drinks a good solid 3.5 to even it all out a 4 star fits the vibe

John C.

Yelp
The drinks were delicious and didn't take too long to make. The french fries were so good, hot and crispy with BBQ seasoning which wasn't too strong. Their restroom was clean and the tables in the front of house were also very well kept.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I normally come to this location and I am in the area near my bfs house. This place has never disappointed me with their food and drinks. I tried their new jujutsu bowl and it was pretty good and the wait didn't take that long. Rice to chicken ratio though is more rice than chicken but still yummy. I'd come back and get it again

Wen D.

Yelp
taste is amazing, and the cups are wayyyy bigger than what you get at other milk tea spots. Great flavor and great value!

Eileen F.

Yelp
Came in today for a 33 oz passion attraction- with lychee jelly- it looked very milky and didn't taste right. When server called over the manager she agregues a lil why the color was off and protested in as teas of saying sure we can change it or accommodate me as a customer. After I grabbed the drink and said it's ok! She then says- we can make it again- after her protest on why the drink looks and tastes like that. I left store and tossed the drink!! $8.25 thrown away!!! Never again!

Jinyoung J.

Yelp
So, the last time I came here at night, the vibes were good. But this time, the girl at the register looked so unhappy. Like I understand the pain of working Saturdays, but there wasn't really much of a line. She did ask about sugar level, so I asked for light. And they have a rewards program through a mobile app, so she asked for that, too. My order came out before the people in front of me though, it seems. However, I think I received the wrong drink? Maybe I misheard my name and got the wrong drink. Anyway, I ordered the ooh la la with lite sweetness, but the drink doesn't quite taste as anticipated. The sugar was so sweet; it tastes like they put in 150%. I wish they had a regular passionfruit drink because I would have gotten that instead. Also, a very minor issue, but I prefer having a smaller straw because I normally don't order any toppings. I came here instead of Krak because they were crowded and expected better quality...I don't think I will return though. )^:

Yelp
Tried the Tastea in Buena Park since I was in the area. I can happily say that this Tastea continues to give me the wonderful service I desire from every Tastea, such as the one in Rowland. Ordered the large winter melon green milk tea, with light ice. I highly recommend signing up for their rewards program, as every time, you can get a discount on your order and a chance to win a free drink! Great service and a great ambience, love it!

Katie P.

Yelp
I don't have it in me to give Tastea anything less than five stars. It's way too nostalgic for me and every time I go here I always always ALWAYS get the Peach Me Sweetie with coconut jelly and honey boba and popcorn chicken in spicy! I've been literally getting the same order for over 15 years now, so if you're into fruity tea and spicy food, i can't recommend this combination enough!

Stephanie V.

Yelp
I love this place!! All locations have great customer service so far IMO. Peach me sweetea & Strawberry Bananza smoothie are my go to!

Darleen P.

Yelp
Super fast service. I did feel a bit rushed when ordering. However my drink was great. The store was clean. Would stop by again!

Mimi J.

Yelp
Review for a Hot Drink* Got a 20% offer on my app. What we ordered ~Matcha Hot Milk Tea on a drizzling day. The matcha was perfectly blended. Not strong but the matcha aroma was good. I got a sample of this drink b4 and loved it. *Be careful of the lid. It was leaking. My hubby drank it b4 me and forgot to tell mee. It did leak on his sweater too. He didn't confirm til i had my accident. A bit upset since it stained my favorite light pink Adidas hoodie ~Karate Popcorn Chicken is our fav here. Love the thai basil cooked w the chicken. They asked for spicy level 1-5. I usually get 3 so my kids can enjoy it too. Cooked to Perfection & perfect bite size.

Yelp
WORST TEA PLACE EVER ‍ Today after work i went in to order a drink and i ordered this free drink thing and this worker who was not wearing her name badge gets visibly upset and then she gets mad at me for not hearing her but she is mumbling. How am I supposed to hear you when you're mumbling? overall worst customer service ever I don't recommend this place. The workers are trash and the drinks aren't even good. I couldn't get the workers name, but here is her face she needs to get fired immediately by the way she acts.

Dee C.

Yelp
Wonderful lady who took my order. She was quick with getting my drinks. She did let me know this was going to be a sweet drink. I should have gone with no sugar rather than lite sugar. It was still pretty sweet for me so I added some water in to make it less sweet. Overall, good place to have a drink and just relax a bit.

James K.

Yelp
Won't be ordering from here anymore. I've been supporting Tastea since they opened but gradually, their portions have drastically decreased over time. The last couple times I have asked about the size of my order, I always get a very unappreciated response from staff. Take your $12 for a large chicken karate and go to Chick-fil-A

Airi G.

Yelp
I hardly ever have intense sweet tooths but taro sounded so good so I tried both the Taro Fantasy and Hot Taro Milk Tea. Neither disappointed. I got half-sweet for both but they were still very sweet. I told myself I didn't want anything but I ended up drinking a lot of my mom's drink oops.

JiHae L.

Yelp
Came here the first day that I arrived in CA. I was told by someone who frequents this place often that it is one of the best bubble tea places. They use green honey boba, which is different from regular bobas that other places use. Also, they put in fresh chunks of fruit into the juice, so you get pieces of it when it gets mixed together. I tried the lychee one, and that one was refreshing. I would like to go back and try the new watermelon flavor. Btw, the lines do tend to get long, so if you see people just standing back, you should ask if you can go in front as you know what you like to drink.

Shlbs T.

Yelp
Drinks tasted good but too skim on boba. I ordered 32 oz and boba was not even half an inch. Not a good tea/boba ratio. I have tried many stores prior and this is quite strange. Hope it gets better.

Pia M.

Yelp
I guess I started writing this when they first opened and never finished, but it is still true! I'm hooked. I'm so glad there's a new and TASTY Tastea nearby. Everything my family and I have tried have been winners. My non-milk tea drinking husband accidentally sipped some of my classic milk tea with honey boba and after his initial freak out, realized it didn't taste bad at all. I have my personal favorites that are always consistent in taste. The servers are usually quite kind and very efficient. The location is clean and a comfortable place to sit in for a little while. My only thing I don't care for is their ube milk tea. It doesn't taste like a flavorful ube, but their tiger milk tea, classic milk tea, ohh la la blend, strawberry drinks, mango, peach me sweetie, all so tasty! (The food tastes pretty good too~) I recommend this location!

Bin H.

Yelp
Probably one of the best milk tea bobas I've had in a long time! I stopped by Tastea after dinner in the same plaza, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered my usual go-to boba - milk tea, half sweet, light ice, with boba. Me being a tech dummy, I was having trouble finding the ice preference section on their kiosk, but the server was so friendly and navigated me to the right section lol. My milk tea came out in just minutes, and I wish I ordered the larger cup. It was made just right - not too sweet, rich in flavor, and the boba was very chewy, just the way I like my boba. Will definitely be coming back!

Eunice C.

Yelp
I love coming here for their Kryptonite matcha drink. This is my favorite and no boba place has similar taste than here so whenever I crave matcha boba, I choose to come here. The adjusted medium sweet level was still too sweet for me so I will choose light level next time. The employer who helped me was efficient and fast. But I got the sense that I wasn't too welcomed. I did not feel the service was pleasant even when I tipped for that. Personally, I wish this place could adapt to eco-friendly practice by accepting personal tumbler cups. I brought mine and was told that I have to pour the drink to my own personal cup which is not my intention to save wastes. The floor was sticky and my shoes made squeaky sound every time I walked in the store. Napkins are not available to reach by customers and needed to be asked to get which I thought was a little inconvenient.

Emily C.

Yelp
Service is a bit of hit or miss. Very few seating, and even if you can find some chairs, it can get loud to the running blenders. Not great for large groups-- just best for take out. Parking is alright. Drinks taste as they all do at other Tastea locations.

T. L.

Yelp
I've been to almost every tastea in Oc and never have I ever been ignored like this. To the owner of this establishment I hope you see this review. The employees working for you represents your store and brand franchise. So I ordered online ahead choosing the asap pick up time. From the time I ordered and got to the location it was only about 5 mins. So I waited alittle bit in the car but after couple min I went to wait outside at their pick up window. There were NO customers in line in fact there were no more customers at all! There were two people inside drinking their stuff at the table but there was no customers. So I stood there for 5 minutes at the pick to window with my face visibly at the damn window. Still waiting...........This was on 10/2/23 around 8:05-8:20 if you want to get that on your camera or see who your employee was because of this I will never step foot in your store again! The somewhat stuck up wanna be pretentious little attitude this guy was giving was very rude! He and another employee was standing right there by the window, saw me and they both decided to turn around so their back is facing me, then they decided to walk to the back to continue talking and I can see that he really trying to make it known that he does not care that I'm waiting. I don't care if you're training or what not but all you had to do before you walk away was a little acknowledgment and let me know that they'll be right w me. But nope none of that! To continue, homeboy walks back towards me but still no eye contact deliberately pretending I wasn't even there. At this point I was thinking am I invisible or is the window that dark that they can't see? I can see his side profile but still no acknowledgment that I even existed at the window. I'm at this point thinking should I just have gone inside and ask if anyone was going to help me?????? But the Jesus in me told me to remain calm. So I waited bit more. Still ignores me as he goes thru his papers and picking up all his empty dispensers walked back and forth to the back and front still with no acknowledgment of me even standing there. This wasn't even about waiting, I won't mind waiting at all it's about the lack of respect of customer service on what he could've chose to do but instead he chose to not acknowledge a customer. When he felt like he was ready to serve me, He finally walked over and asked me for my name. What pissed me off even more was that he took the drink that was already made from his corner allllll this time even prior to me arriving. Are you fking kidding me?? You had my drink ready alllll this time even before I even got there and you made me wait???!!!!! And ignored the fact I was at the pink up window when you first saw me but instead ignored me when you could've given me my drink before you and the other worker went to the back and ignored me there half the time I was there??? No words!!

John V.

Yelp
The best thank you for being such a wonderful service of excellence. My favorite milk tea spot.

Jasmin H.

Yelp
Consistent and good, just as expected when going to any Tastea franchise. Quick service and that QQ boba is reliable as ever at this one when in need of a fruit tea, Tastea is the OG in this niche and always my go to if I'm in area with one. The PeachMe Sweet Tea is the fan fav but I prefer the Lychee Peachee BY FAR because of the tea flavor being stronger imo and lychee gives a slightly less artificial taste than the strawberry in the Peach Me.

Vince P.

Yelp
Tastea has never ever let me down in my life! They are one of the most consistent boba places of all time! This Buena Park location is conveniently located close to many restaurants where you can go eat and get some boba after. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Wifey has been loving the mango milk tea while I have been switching up my drinks here and there but always getting black jelly with it. Their drinks are really the perfect size and their drinks always hit the spot when craving some boba!

Claudia R.

Yelp
It costs an arm and a leg to get a boba these days. Today was the last straw - I asked for medium ice and the cashier asked me if I wanted to "top it off" to make up for the difference in liquid. I said sure but didn't realize it would cost me $0.75. These people are so stingy that they would make you pay extra to "top off" the few extra sips they'd have to fill up in a medium ice beverage. Be so for real.

Rachel T.

Yelp
We stopped by for some drinks & popcorn chicken. We tried the new micholada drink and matcha milk tea. It was tasty however I'd recommend less ice as it takes up more than half of the cup. We ordered a large popcorn chicken, however it seemed quite small and the popcorn chicken box we were served wasn't even filled and inside was a LOT of small fried pieces taking up space. This was also $12 so not worth the price, I think. We've had larger portions at other locations though.

Kasie L.

Yelp
I ordered the jug bootea shaker. The little drawing with the Bootea shaker is the cutest. Very quick service and care. Wish they gave more ice and cups but its ok. Great work

Johnny M.

Yelp
We finally got a Tastea! The BP area is getting some good boba spots popping up finally. Drinks // Between the Peach Me Sweetea, the Bootea Shaker, and the Sunset Peach I am in heaven. I usually like to rotate through the drinks so I do not get tired of one or another. If you are thirsty and hungry, go for the popcorn chicken. Unlike most spots that serve dark meat chicken, Tastea serves up white meat chicken. Portion sizes are pretty good with a small being good for one person, and a large is good for one really hungry person (like myself) or to share. Location // Parking can be a little difficult as there is many businesses in a small area. Usually if you just drive around you will find a spot. Inside of Tastea, it has always been super clean and I have never had any issues with tables being dirty or anything. Notes // I will need to get around and try some of the other items. I will report back.

Shelly W.

Yelp
/)/) ( . .) ( づ Had the booty shaker (mango, peach, pineapple) with green tea and honey boba. No sugar because it's already sweet enough to me. AMAZING! One of the best fruit teas you can get. Everything's organic too. You can taste the freshness and quality. The balance between the fruits and the tea is perfect! (Love love love the stevia option they offer now!)

Kirstie F.

Yelp
Don't forget to check in on Yelp for 15% off your order! Sooo happy to have a tastea in Buena Park now! Service was quick and friendly. There's no tables/chairs inside. I'm not sure if it's just for covid protocols or if it'll be a regular thing so I suggest bringing your drinks over to the other plaza with 85/hmart if you want to enjoy your drinks with a place to sit. They utilize a pick up window so you make your way back outside the store to get your drinks

Jenny L.

Yelp
I really enjoy the fruity drinks at Tastea. My favorite is the Strawberry Escteasy and Bootea shaker. I do like their popcorn chicken as well, but the quality and the amount you get has gone down... I ordered pickup for a large popcorn chicken for $10-11 with the weak sauce. There was definitely not a lot of chicken at all (see picture for reference) and a lot of fried bits... I was shocked that this was $10. Definitely not worth it for what you get. They also forgot the weak sauce, but not a huge issue for me. I get that prices are going up everywhere, but if you're allocating your costs to your prices, at least have it make sense with the product you're providing. Order the drinks. I would not recommend the popcorn chicken.

Cindy N.

Yelp
This location had recently opened up and you can place your order online or in store, but they have a little opening window to pick up all your orders. They take good COVID precautions and it helps that they use microphones with a shield to get orders heard/taken correctly. Their staff was very friendly and quick. I would probably be choosing this location as my go-to choice. I ordered the strawberry sensation with boba added (yes, their signature is green boba over the traditional color of black, but they also offer clear and other toppings.)

jose b.

Yelp
Yah this spot is good. They got some good sweet teas and smoothies. I never get the boba tho coz i dont like balls in my drink#pause. Shits good but i dont like some of the names of these drinks. Like i just wanna get shorty a strawberry smoothie, y u making me say strawberry sensation for? #pause. F around and catch a SA charge from ordering these sexy drinks. But this spot is dope id come back #pause

Sebastian C.

Yelp
I was quite surprised to see a Tastea open up in this location. This little strip mall has had several dessert/boba shops come and go fairly often but it's good to finally see a well known establishment in there. Here's what I ordered: **The Unknown, medium sweet: Very great flavor and high quality tea. The little bits of diced longan were definitely great, as it balanced out the sweetness of the drink. (5/5) **Bootea Shaker, no jelly, no sweet: Very good, no complaints. Had a slight flavor even though I requested no sweetness and even better since the tea was very good. (5/5) Tastea's tea based drinks never disappoint. Hopefully this is here to stay so welcome to Buena Park.

Ilyn M.

Yelp
I've been here a handful of times for their drinks, but just decided to try their food as well. It was very good! The fries were crispy and they give you a lot. I tried the sour cream and onion ones and i definitely recommend.. We got the weak sauce, which is sweet and sour sauce. Overall it was delicious!

Linh M.

Yelp
I have tried Tastea a few years ago and wasn't a fan of their drinks. I decided to give it a second chance but was still underwhelmed. The Buena park shop opened this past March in a small plaza at the corner of Beach/Malvern. Even though I have driven past here numerous times, I was never interested in making a boba stop. I arrived in the early afternoon on Saturday with no wait. The interior is small with a few tables available to enjoy your drinks. The cashier was less than enthusiastic when assisting customers. I was familiar with their menu so minimal interaction took place. I ordered two drinks: ***Peach Me Sweetea - peach and strawberry black tea with fresh fruit bits. I customized at medium sweet with no additional toppings. The drink was just ok since I didn't taste any tea flavors. ***Bootea Shaker - mango, peach, and pineapple tea with grass jelly with added honey boba. Also customized at medium sweet. This was a better choice because the tea flavors stood out more. The fusion of the various fruits made the drink very refreshing. Tastea is one in a few boba shops that offer small bites on their menu. There are plenty of options including specialteas, milk teas, coffee, smoothies, and slushies. You have the option of pre-ordring online and picking up at the window. I'm still on the fence about coming back or not!

Alex L.

Yelp
Awesome place for boba and snack. Store is clean and music is great. Service is superb! Very accommodating and take their time to make sure the order is done right!

Meg C.

Yelp
It's nice to see more boba shops springing up in BP, especially ones that sell popcorn chicken, or "karate chicken" at Tastea. Ordered a large, "mild but wild" karate chicken for $11+. Fifteen minutes goes by and we still don't have our order. The supervisor apologizes and tells us something had happened to the order. Without missing a beat, they rectified the situation immediately by offering a free drink. We chose Tiger Milk, half ice and lite in sweetness. She asked if we wanted crème brûlée and boba, and we were open to trying it (NOTE: probably won't order crème brûlée chunks in my drink again). The karate chicken was decent in portion size, but I am still baffled by the sticker shock. $11...I think you get more chic-fil-a nuggets for cheaper, not to mention their unlimited dipping sauces. At Tastea, they only provide 1 sauce for free, anything extra is an additional cost. The chicken was heavily coated with flour, and while there were a few moist pieces, the majority was dry and lackluster in flavor. Room for improvement: the restaurant needs to get better at controlling the houseflies in the food prep and storage areas. With so many open containers of fruit/jelly/boba, it seems all too easy to contaminate. 4 stars because they addressed their shortcomings immediately and remedied with a free drink.

Kris C.

Yelp
Love their avocado smoothie. I always get that with the chicken. The chicken tho is good but the size - amount they give is inconsistent... and today was like wtf man 7.80$ before tax for the regular and my God... its probably in the 4:50/5$ range if u ask me...and its 40% like fried batter or small pieces of crunchy batter.

Samantha D.

Yelp
Grabbed Karate Chicken and the Green Thai Tea today! I was so good! Even though chicken portion looks small, I couldnt even finish half of it!

Hira K.

Yelp
Serving size is huge for regular size chicken and fries Great stuff Tea is high quality too

HyeSu P.

Yelp
If you are looking for a refreshing, icy, fruity, and delicious tea/smoothie/slushie/coffee/milktea on a warm day, I suggest you try Tastea at this location! They are friendly staffs who are very patient, and accommodating (I took like forever to choose what I wanted since they had so many great selections and choices). After going on a shopping spree for my dog's birthday we visited Tastea since today was a warm day in California. Just a tip: they also have a small window before entering the cafe/shop where you can just quick to-go order your drinks or snacks. Will be back again real soon! Will upload a picture of the menu, next time I visit Tastea at this location!

Roel C.

Yelp
This has got to be my most Fav Boba places and i am Pissed you are not in Los Angeles My Fav drink is their seasonal Watermelon drink they have during Watermelon Season. It's basically a watermelon slush but with real watermelon then they put watermelon chunks in it and i added rainbow jelly. I can drink this everyday!!! Hurry and open some locations in LA Please

David E.

Yelp
Love this place! Also loved Melanie who served and made our drinks! She was super sweet and recommended us drinks that were amazing! Thank you Melanie! The downside is the place is small with only 4 small tables but besides that, it is perfect to grab n go!

Jen M.

Yelp
Very satisfying combination! The popcorn chicken n fires were seasoned so well! Maybe i should have asked for more sauce but I wish they gave more ketchup n the other sauce ;-; but overall very good :3

Emily W.

Yelp
Happy a tastea is closer to me now! Came during their grand opening weekend. There was a little raffle and it was buy 1 get 1. When I arrived late afternoon. The wait in line was maybe 15-20 mins? But then I got the drinks maybe 5 mins after ordering. Their boba is as soft as ever even with how busy they were. Drinks here are always solid and there's a variety of toppings here that I don't usually see at other locations. I always order ahead and just pick up easily at the window!
