Tastefully Blessed BBQ Review. Stopped in for some BBQ and here’s the breakdown: Ribs: First half rack came out dry, but they replaced them with a fresh set—tender and perfect. Brisket: Only 3 slices (felt small) and not super juicy, but the sauces really helped. Baby girl Raven approved She tore it up with my help. 🥰. Sides: Mac n cheese tasted stovetop-style but still flavorful. Greens = perfection. Potato salad = mom’s fave, a little too sweet for me. Coleslaw = Mom liked it. I didn't try it. Honey Cornbread stole the whole show—BUTTERY and balanced. Beans flavorful but too sweet for my taste. Wings: Looked great, flavor was good, but mom wasn’t a fan of texture. ✨ Loved the plethora of sauces on the table and the customer service was TOP NOTCH from start to finish. Would I go back? The brisket was juicy, flavorful, and sliced like butter. And don’t even get me started on the sandwiches. The Prime Brisket Grilled Cheese might be the best thing(sandwich) on the menu. Crispy, buttery bread packed with smoky brisket and melted cheese that oozes with every bite. It’s rich, messy in the best way, and worth every calorie. All the sandwiches are elite but this one stood out. Then came the sides, specifically the Mac and Cheese. Calling it mac and cheese almost feels disrespectful, this was Anointed Mac. Creamy, rich, perfectly cheesy, and blessed with that homemade soul that hits you right in the comfort zone. I could’ve eaten a whole tray of that Mac. The flavors danced on your taste buds and left no question this was the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. The other sides and sauces were on point as well, crispy seasoned fries, delicious buttery cornbread that was truly out of this world, and house-made sauces that actually elevate the meal instead of drowning it. The staff was friendly, the portions were generous, and the whole place just gives off that authentic, small-business pride that you can taste in every bite. If you’re anywhere nearby, make the trip, if you're not nearby, still make the trip. Tastefully Blessed isn’t just good BBQ it’s a full-blown eating experience.

I saw this place on Instagram and instantly knew we were gonna have to make a road trip. It didnt disappoint!! The staff was welcoming and friendly! The owner actually came out to our table twice to ask where we came from and how we enjoyed our food. After we ate, we ordered food to go and decided we would make the 2 hour drive back again soon to try other things on the menu!! Dont walk, run here !!

Tastefully blessed is one of my new favorite places to eat. Located in Springdale, definitely worth the drive. One of the best burgers I ever had, that’s a big statement! I ordered a quadruple smash burger topped with brisket, and it was amazing! The brisket was juicy, flavorful. The brisket Philly was also good, along with crispy fries, Mac n cheese, potato salad, buttery cornbread, everything was delicious. Can’t forget the bbq sauces either. Staff was friendly too

Had the brisket cheese steak and brisket grilled cheese. Both were excellent. I didn't really care for the BBQ sauces, they were a little sweet IMO. But it should be a sin to put sauce on that brisket it was so good as is. Loved the Mac n cheese. Super creamy and cheesy. Will definitely come back .

I don’t usually post too much about food but I feel compelled to today. My wife and I decided to try Tastefully Blessed Smokehouse in Springdale and were blown away! The service right off the bat was incredible. Extremely friendly and personable and happy to help with any questions. The building was just your standard storefront but the inside gave a nice vibe. The food was absolutely out of this world! We got a pound of brisket, mac n cheese and for my first time ever collard greens. The brisket was absolutely phenomenal! Extremely tender but not falling apart and seasoned perfectly. The Mac n cheese…no question best I’ve ever had. And for never having collard greens, I was blown away. Everything I’ve ever seen with the collard greens has been they’re great or terrible, and these were great! If you haven’t yet, do yourself a huge favor and give them a try!

An authentic BBQ experience ! I’m talkin bout TENDERNISM!! If you want to know what that mean go ooon down thea and grab a hold of thea brisket, pulled pork or baby back ribs…. So good you’ll slap your own self into next week!! 😋

The brisket Philly cheesesteak is hands down one of the best things I've had from any BBQ place in my life. The bun was crispy, the brisket and BBQ complimented each other perfectly.

Food was solid. An appropriate level of smoke and salt, homemade sauces(I loved them all but the dark bbq). Sides were great. Coleslaw a great call from my cousin to cut the richness of everything else. I wouldn't say this is a date place, unless she's into bbq or you've been dating for over a year but definitely worth checking out. FYI no beer.....which would have been nice.

Best BBQ in the Pittsburgh area, hands down. The brisket was as good as any I've had in Texas, and the pulled pork was just as delicious. Highly recommended!

Stopped there for dinner around 5 on a Thursday fast prompt service. Had the Springdale smasher with french fries, coleslaw, and mac & cheese. The smoke meat on the burger and the burger itself were phenomenal. The sides were all right. Fries were good mac & cheese and coleslaw Could use some work. My only real complain would be the sauces weren't that great. I expected a little better from a place with such great smoke meats. I'll definitely be back. And Definitely would recommend trying this place

Food is ribs fall right of the bones and the brisket was very meaty. Pull pork was very juicy. Variety of sauces makes the experience better. Will definitely come back for more.

This is now my favorite restaurant ever. Hands down the best burger/BBQ/Restaurant in Pittsburgh. I haven't had my dick kicked in like that from food in a long time. We went in at 7:20 at night and thank god they weren't sold out of any of the meats. The cashier, who was also so polite, told us they usually are but since it was Valentine's Day I assume it was a little slower Inside seating was limited but in the summer they have outdoor. The food... I don't even know where to begin. The burgers were without question the best I will ever have for a long time. The bun was buttery, grilled with a nice crisp and able to not fall apart with these monstrous contraptions. The black and yellow was a double smash with brisket, fried onions, cheese and BBQ sauce. That brisket had a beautiful char on the outside and so juicy. The Springdale had every meat. Smash burger with brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. All paired for the perfect glutinous monster The fries weren't extra crispy and a soft inside with a good seasoning The ribs had that beautiful char and fell right off the bone. Nothing needed BBQ sauce. Everything was flowing with the juices I will be returning multiple upon multiple times and telling everyone about this place

The people are friendly and they serve up some exceptional food! It might take a few minutes longer, but it's because they are making your order when you come in....and it's worth the wait. The pork was flavorful and the Mac n Cheese was super creamy

Stopped by PA to see the Packers vs Steelers. This is hands down the best BBQ I've ever had. The ribs were incredible. Anyone visiting should come try this place at least once. I know I'll always have to come back every single time I come to Pittsburgh for the rest of my life. Incredible. Incredible food incredible service the place was small but staff incredible and food somehow even better. Don't hesitate, you have to try it ASAP

This week was my first time here based on a recommendation and I was so glad that I got to try the barbecue there. The Carolina smash burger was so good. I can't imagine there's anything that could be done to make it any better or more tasteful. The ribs were tender and excellent And the brisket sandwich was top notch. Their sauce is a little more smoky than sweet and I loved it and even the mac & cheese was great. I only wish they were open all week long and that they had a bigger place.

The food and service were amazing. These are the best smoked ribs I've EVER had and the variety of sauces just took these to the next level.

There is a sign outside of this little spot that says 'Best BBQ in Town' and they are not lying! Our daughter who lives in the area took us here for dinner the other night and we were very satisfied! The service was friendly and attentive and our food was delicious. Between the four of us, we tried the brisket tacos, Pulled pork sandwiches and Brisket with sides of Mac and cheese, Fries and coleslaw. My brisket was tender, juicy and flavorful. Best side was easily the fries which ares seasoned perfectly. We ate there and were given extra bbq sauce when requested. They do takeout as well. Would highly recommend this spot.

This place was just absolutely amazing. It's such a hidden gem. One of the best BBQ spots in the area, in all of Pittsburgh honestly. Only other place that compares is Big Rigs. They have so many delicious items on the menu, so it was tough to choose. I ordered a variety of items, including the banana pudding, the quesadilla with pulled pork, and the baked beans with brisket. The baked beans were delicious, but a little bit pricey. I thought 12 oz would be a bit more than it actually was, but it was still very tasty. It had a slight hint of cinnamon to it. The beans were well made, well cooked, and had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The meat pieces were kind of small, and there weren't a ton of them, but I honestly prefer it like that. Some parts were a tad too fatty for me, but still very good. The quesadilla was insanely good. I got it with their ranch, BBQ sauce, and sour cream. The meat was tender and very tasty. Plenty of cheese in there. And, it was grilled to perfection, with a nice balance of all the ingredients. The sauces were all amazing too (sour cream was just sour cream). The ranch was creamy and flavorful, and the BBQ sauce had an interesting and unique taste to it. Almost like honey with a kick. Really good. However, only slight problem was that I didn't receive the banana pudding with my order. Still, everything else was so delicious that I'll let it slide and still give them 5 stars. Try this place out for sure!

Customer service is spot on. I'd gotten a half rack of baby back ribs by chance. They were out of the smoked chicken which was my first choice. Consequently, I was offered the ribs in its place although it was more expensive. All I can say is they were the juiciest baby back ribs I've ever eaten! And I've traveled the globe. It took me three days to eat the triple smash burger. Ungodly amount of meat for the price. Definitely a travel channel spot.

We ordered our meals for take out. The brisket and turkey breast were delicious; however a little salty for my taste. Our order of ribs were too dry, no one ate them. The bbq sauces weren't too good. We didn't care for the vinegar aftertaste. The service and ambiance were amazing. Everyone was friendly which I find extremely important.

Very happy with my decision to stop at this BBQ on a trip that passed Springdale. My daughter and I both had Black and Gold smashers- and loved it. A wonderful cheeseburger that is gloriously enhanced by some awesome brisket. The black sauce looked a bit intimidating but meshed perfectly with this sandwich. The people here were very pleasant with excellent service. Can't wait to come back and try some more of their many meat options.

Best tasting bbq east of the Mississippi! Stopped while traveling out east and found this restaurant on yelp! The service was great, the team was friendly and very helpful with recommendations! I had ribs, Mac n cheese and collard greens! Best collard greens ever!!!! I originally from the south so I know greens. The ribs feel off the bone and super juicy. My friend smoked turkey sandwich and he said it was so moist and tender. This is a bbq heaven experience!!! The Bbq here is worth getting off the turnpike for an amazing flavorful experience. Note I had to take a picture of the table next to me that had huge sandwiches !! Visit here hungry and leave amazingly full !!!

I love tastefully blessed, but today was even more eye opening!! I had a double smash burger with sauted onions, pickles, lettuce and cheese!! It was outrageously good then add the best fries around!! Everything is ridiculously amazing!! You have to go!!

We were so excited to eat at this restaurant. We looked up their hours of operation on their website, drove 20 minutes to arrive and find out they were closed. It's probably best to call before going to be sure they're open.

The food amazing!! AMAZING. Best brisket I have had in my life, probably. The ambiance is very homey and relaxed. Awesome neighborhood smokehouse. The owner, Jamar, catered our wedding and we're happy to have dined at his location several times as well! Also - get the black bbq sauce they make in house. It's delicious!

The food is excellent although the rub on the ribs was too salty. So appreciated the sweetness of the sauce to help cut it. They were meaty and just fell off the bone. The greens were so smoky. Just wow.

Best Bar B Q in the area. Parking on side and back of restaurant. Very good for wheelchair or walkers. Self serve. But good Lord the smoked meat falls off the bone. We got the Springdale special. 1/2 rack of ribs 1/2# pulled pork 1/2# brisket 1/2# smoked turkey 10 wings 4 sausages and all sides 4 cornbread. $129. Baked beans were perfect. Smoky , sweet and spicy. Cornbread was best I've ever had. This place is amazingly delicious. If you're looking for wings go there. Better than any. Meat was tender and falling off the bone but moist and flavorful. Service was good. Ambience is Ok but take it out. Very generous with the sides of sauce.

The only problem with Tastefully Blessed is that I can't stop in every time I drive by. My wife and I have eaten in twice now and got food to go twice more. Eating in is fine -- there is chalk to write on the walls and a fun vibe. I mostly enjoy BBQ'd meat without sauce and find the good BBQ needs no sauce as the meat speaks for itself. Here, both the brisket and pork alike are superb. They serve a very dark bbq sauce that is differnet from what I've had elsewhere. However, with each repeat visit I find I grow to enjoy it more. Also, I have yet to be there when it is busy, but there is always at least some other customers...just never a crowd. It is a little weird, in fact -- BUT I pray this indicates a slow and steady crowd of loyal customers is building and that they are in this location for the long haul!

I have been to many BBQ "meccas" and I especially love Texas BBQ. I used to consider moving there just for the opportunity to eat BBQ and Tex-Mex daily, until their housing prices shot up. Anyway, this spot does the best brisket and smoked sausage that I've had outside of TX. The uniquely delicious sauce is served on the side, which I prefer. All of the sides I tried were of excellent quality. With kind, friendly, and attentive service, a charming ambiance, easy parking, and close to my home - I look forward to many more visits.

Rating has nothing to do with the food. Saw the good reviews and drove 45 minutes one way just to find out they aren't really open on the weekends like it says they are... unfortunate

This is more of a takeout with tables to eat. We arrived around 4pm. Order at counter in between phone orders. Everything is a la carte. Potato salad was good and the French fries were very tasty. The smoked 1/2 chicken was very dry and the pound of pulled pork was dry, medium warm to cool in temperature. Flavors were good but nowhere near fresh. I have no idea how they got a rating so high!

Tastefully Blessed does not disappoint! I got 3 pulled pork tacos thinking they would be small street tacos. They were MASSIVE. You get alot of food for the price. Pro tip: always order a side of mac and cheese. It's divine.

I remember reading about this place months back in the paper but it kind of slipped my mind. My wife and myself were looking for somewhere to go for lunch and I "refound" it while googling local restaurants. I'm glad I did. We received a friendly greeting as soon as we entered and we were offered a generous 1" cube of brisket. It was very tender with a nice smoke. We asked for recommendations and settled in the Brisket cheese steak and the brisket quesadilla. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere is light and very friendly! The cheese steak was brought to our table and it was packed with brisket. It had the perfect amount of green peppers and onions. It was the best sandwich I've had in a very long time. My wife had the quesadilla and it was packed with brisket. She deemed it delicious! It's a smallish place with seating for small groups. Do not miss this place!!! It's going to be here a long time with food like that!

We tried this tonight for the first time. It's a short walk from our house so we were surprised we hadn't been there yet. The food was amazing. We had the chicken with the house rub on them and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were absolutely fantastic. The chicken was flavorful and tender. The rub was packed with flavor. The pulled pork sandwich was perfect. A hearty helping of Smokey pulled pork on a perfectly toasted bun. I went with the house BBQ sauce which was sweet and tangy and I hungrily dipped my sandwich in the sauce as I ate it. We also got several sides. The Mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy and the pasta was still tender. It's one of the better Mac n cheeses in the PGH area. The collard greens were fantastic. They were tangy and zesty and cooked to perfection. Finally the cornbread! It was sweet and moist and my piece was soaked in honey which made it that much better. All in all we will be back soon! Highly recommend!

Yes, yes, yes!!! When I saw the name of the restaurant in the area I was searching, I passed it by. I didn't really read, smokehouse. My son, daughter and I were searching for a place to eat after a wedding rehearsal. After trying just about every BBQ in the south hills of Pittsburgh over many years, I wasn't expecting anything fantastic. The name Tastefully Blessed gave me a notion of overpriced yuppy food with lots of green sprigs layered on top of tiny portions. We wanted to sample a lot of different foods so I felt like Rodney Dangerfield at the Pro Shop in CaddyShack. I said give us one of those, one of these, some of that and a little bit of every side you serve. We had BBQ Chicken, 2 quarters, Brisket, 1/2 Rack of Ribs, Pulled Pork, Pot Roast and a DOUBLE SMASH BURGER with Cheese and Brisket on top. Mac n Cheese, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad and some cooked greens. EVERYTHING WAS TOTALLY FREAKING AWESOME including the Honey Saturated Cornbread and BLACK Sauce. THE Best BBQ I have ever tasted and my son IS a PIT MASTER!! It's tough to cook Brisket without drying it out. Jamar has found the technique. The Staff was all friendly and accommodating. If you get a hankering for some BBQ, why settle for mediocre, GO for the GUSTO and treat yourself to the BEST. Tastefully Blessed, you'll be sorry eating all that other inferior BBQ. I would change the name to BEST, DAMN BBQ IN PITTSBURGH, Says SO, Right on the Sign.

Wow! Hidden gem for sure. Awesome staff. So friendly, fun, and positive. Greeted as soon as we walked in. We ordered ribs, chicken wings, brisket quesadillas, chicken quarter, Mac & cheese, coleslaw, and cornbread. Everything was outstanding! Hot. Fresh. Cooked to order. The ribs were the fullest, meatiest ribs I've ever had. Fall off the bone is exactly what these were. They were my personal favorite. A close second were the chicken wings. Hot, CRISPY, but juicy on the inside and perfectly seasoned. Wow! The ribs and wings. Wow. The brisket quesadilla was LOADED with fresh brisket. So good. The Mac and cheese was creamy and unique. Excellent flavor! The cornbread was soft and sweet. All of those things were outstanding. I would get all again. The only things we didn't care for were the coleslaw (although it was unique and flavorful, just personally didn't like it) and the chicken quarter. Be sure to leave some comments on the chalkboard before you leave! But I'm sure you will be back, just like I will be back. Many, many times. Awesome! Highly recommended!
