Maritime Wine Tasting Studio Review - Financial District - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"If your Hinge profiles both list “What You Wish You Knew More About” as being “wine,” meet for flights at Maritime Wine Tasting Studio. They start at $16, which is a heck of a lot better than the $60 you dropped on one tasting the last time you were in Napa. Plus, you and this person are both admittedly ignorant on the difference between beaujolais and Bo Jackson, so there’s nothing to be nervous about. Just relax and figure out if it’s worth buying a whole bottle to split with them or if a taste was all you needed." - Will Kamensky

Gorgeous place. Live music and great stores. Loved it.

Jim DeLung, PhD

Google
This place is GREAT! How the hell could someone give this a negative review while it was still under construction and not even open yet?!?! Anyway, The Village has multiple wine tasting rooms and even a local brewery. A large lawn with games for families with gifts, grocery, deli, and a coffee shop.

Pretty darn cool spot. Will be even cooler once all the storefronts are open.

It needs something since it's just a lot of concrete in a business park. Not very charming.

Yelp
Came here with friends on a Sunday afternoon who were visiting from Southern California for my friend's birthday. It's a shop that has indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor seating but it could get a bit sunny and hot. We got a tasting and shared a cheese plate. This plate was probably the most lackluster thing about our experience because the portions were tiny, not worth the price for what we got. However our tasting was great! All of the wines were unique. I liked hearing about their backstories. We were happy talking through the wines with Luke, who deserves a HUGE shout out! He was absolutely amazing! Our experience was made so much better just because we got to talk to him about his work and his love of wine. He was so receptive to all of the questions we were asking. He also found out that it was my friend's birthday and that it was our first time as a group in Napa, and he took measures to make us feel more special. We ended up buying a bottle to take home.

Yelp
Last minute trip to Napa brought us to Trinitas Cellars since they were open later than 4pm on a weekday and they allowed the pooch. We decided to try the Faith and Family Flight with artisan cheese board and of course doggie barkuterie board of the pooch. Jerry was our server and very attentive and personable.

Yelp
Stopped in for some wine tasting while waiting for our room to be ready. It's beautiful inside the server that was working explained each wine to us and it's history. Amazing job ! I loved it. Delicious wine too. Would recommend stopping in and checking it out. There's also charcuterie board options with wine as well as caviar.

Yelp
Kim out assistant was amazing she explained all the wines very well. I ordered a case of various wines. And may sign up to be a member.

Yelp
What does one do on a weekday afternoon when here at The Grand Reserve Meritage Resort and you have exhausted your laptop battery and had a couple of hours to kill before going to dinner with your work colleagues? Why shuffle on down to the Trinitas Tasting Room located on the Meritage property and enjoy a wine flight. It was quiet since the Bottlerock festival had concluded this past weekend and enjoyed the tranquility of being the only person there. Service was attentive since I was the only one there with the gentleman who poured explained in detail the four wines I eventually selected. For those coming to stay at this property, I highly recommend stopping by if you don't feel like driving and hopping to other wineries in the area.

Isabel M.

Yelp
I came here to try out new wines and I'm thinking of joining the wine club. The service was absolutely amazing. Kim helped us out and was so knowledgeable about the wines, she even gave us good downtown recommendations. Highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
A really overdue review but I have to put a good word in! I visited Trinitas a few months back - courtesy of a friend who was a member and brought us in for a free wine tasting (you additionally must purchase a certain number of bottles and we were planning to). Let me start off by saying this winery is beautiful, the vibe is peaceful resort. The inside is just as beautiful and the ambiance really makes the experience enjoyable. Flight pours are generous and I love the oversized wine glasses that they use. The wine connoisseurs are experts and describe the wines accurately to help you pick your flight. Last I remember having an appointment is required, but availability isn't really limited as long as you're not super last minute.

Yelp
We made reservations 1-2 months ago for Sunday 1:30pm. We were quite impressed by the wines here. Traditional tasting was $50 for 4 wines. There's also an option for chocolate wine pairing. Pours were generous. We liked the Rose, Martin vineyard Cabernet, Sauvignon blanc, and chardonnays. Alyssa was our server. She was nice and informative. Indoor and outdoor seatings. We sat indoors due to the wind but the door was open so it was pretty aired out. Restrooms are outside in the courtyard. Plenty of parking on the street. I'm not sure if you can bring picnic/snacks here. Check in on Yelp for a free port and chocolate covered blueberry tasting!

Yelp
This was a nice experience indeed!! You have many wine tasting options and the one you I got was; wine and chocolate. The indoor seating area is so modern. The wine tasting is big and you have many options. This place is located in a mall.

Marla B.

Yelp
Very nice place with friendly staff. They have an amazing atmosphere and ambiance. It was very relaxing, clean and a very professional business.

Denise S.

Yelp
The venue is beautiful, the vibe is a relaxing resort setting. The ambiance really makes the experience enjoyable and pours are generous! Wines are excellent and service was top notch. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The cutest little tasting room with delicious wines to boot! Some friends and I stopped by Trinitas for a tasting last year while visiting Napa, and it was an absolute hit! The tasting room is beautifully designed and located within the charming Vista Collina Resort. The decor is super upscale while still preserving a comfortable and casual atmosphere. When you walk in, you'll notice the gorgeous wrap around tasting bar. Just so adorbs! They've also got several other areas to lounge around and taste. Their wines are produced from vines that hail from several different California AVA wine regions including El Dorado and Contra Costa County! Very unique. I was also surprised to learn that the majority of their vines are grown right outside of their grounds which is different for a tasting room (versus a winery). My friends and I really enjoyed their crisp and fruit Rosé. We ended up buying a few bottles of them and having one at a nearby restaurant for lunch. Delicious! I also found through Meritage to be really tasty as well. It's a varietal that I don't see being produced too often, especially within Napa Valley. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Would love to come back before the end of the year for another tasting.

Yelp
Amazing place and wine! Can't wait to go back! The service and knowledge of the staff make it a super fun experience.

Yelp
Guidelines for mask just relaxed TODAY and what better way to celebrate than to go back to one fav wineries in Napa Trinitas Cellars!!! See, Swirl, Sniff and Sip on Gggggiin oh I mean grapes and Savor under the sun at the courtyard next to the fountain. Scott as usual awesome Wine Consultant poured a Cab Reserve 2016 not even on menu...so red so bold so heavy so delish. My fav Cab Franc 2015 $80/bottle but $64 club members. Other end of spectrum are their affordable wines such as the famous and sought after 2015 Mysteriama at only $30/bottle but $24 for club members (be one, so worth it). Glad to be back, unmasked uninhibited, and unstoppable simply with a little bit of help from excellent wine. Thank you Trinitas...I'm ready for the next set of memories to come!

Yelp
Trinitas Cellars in an awesome little tasting room situated amongst various other businesses in The Village. We tried four different wines with the Zinfandel and Chardonnay taking lead in my opinion. The Chardonnay was that perfect combo of refreshing and sweet that left you wanting more and more. The service was incredible and every last person made us feel welcome and almost spoiled. Be sure to ask them about the huge bottle of wine to take pictures with! The location is definitely a huge plus. In the middle of all these businesses is a huge lawn with grass and lounge chairs and even live music on this particular day. The weather was perfect so we went to the overlook just above Trinitas Cellars and did a little photoshoot. Overall is was a great day and I can't wait to return to Trinitas.

Yelp
I love this place. People are very friendly and always with a smile on their face. I came to wine tasting about 5 times now. My boyfriend is a wine member.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
It was my bf's and I first time in Napa and Trinitas Cellars gave us the best wine experience. Our wine connoisseur educated us on each type of wine that was on our OLD VINE FLIGHT before taking our first sip, making us really form an idea/relationship with the wine, bringing it to life before our tongue got a chance to judge itself. It was descriptive and accurate, we were agreeing with the descriptions of the wines after we tasted the pours ourselves. The fun part about this experience was that we were able to buy our favorite wine bottle (2015 old wine Zinfandel) and take it out to the lawn to enjoy. We had the local grocery market open the bottle and used their complimentary wine glasses. When someone who worked at the hotel stopped by to turn the heat lamp nearby us on, that's when we really started to enjoy ourselves by the Christmas tree. It was a cold December night, but warm enough to enjoy our time out.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised as we didn't make reservations and were looking for a last minute baby friendly place to taste some Napa wine. Although it's not ON the vineyard this tasting room is set in a public resort style entertainment strip with other wineries, shops, food trucks, green space etc. We were able to get up and roam around before our drive home.
google avatar

Yelp
Horrible service. Below average wine. They didn't want to serve us. They didn't explain anything. They wouldn't let our group sit together. Waste of time. Go to inglenook, Darioush or any of the other amazing wineries. Don't waste your time here! Everything was below average
google avatar

Jimmy L.

Yelp
One of my favorite wineries I like going to since it's in a very nice area of Napa. There is a resort across the street and open air seating in the plaza where the winery resides. I like their reds but their chardonnay is to die for. Extremely buttery and crisp, works very well with the seafood I eat most of the time. Maybe like 1/2 Napa trips I go to, I usually stop in this area to chill and relax after tastings.
google avatar

J B.

Yelp
It's okay. I liked our server. He was well versed in the Trinitas story and very knowledgeable. I have decided the whole paying for a pour is ridiculous. It an arbitrary amount given at the good will of your server. I will not do that again.
google avatar

Sioux J.

Yelp
Trinitas is dependable and reasonably priced. The tasting room is in a lovely location, with other shops and eateries. Lots of merch and great staff, who are quick to provide professional assistance, without pushing you to overspend. We'll be back.

Yelp
Trinitas winery has wonderful customer service and exceptional wine. Great quality Zinfandel! I have ordered from Trinitas several times and all the bottles and varieties have been consistent. They packed the wine well and there was no issues with delivery. Like I said, great Zinfandel for anyone who likes little bit of pepper!!
google avatar

Myles C.

Yelp
Trinitas doesn't have the view or the ambiance of a lot of the other options in the area, but it makes up for it in quality service. Our server was able to answer all of our questions (we're not wine connoisseurs, but we were interested in learning), and he told us what legs mean in a wine, how to choose a great wine for the value when in a grocery store, the history of the area and the differences between top wineries, and a LOT more. The wine here is also great. I very much enjoyed the pairing with the chocolate, and we took home a bottle of Cabernet franc.
google avatar

Nerrisa L.

Yelp
Wine is ok. Note that this place is not dog/kids friendly. We were seated in freezing temp outside and they have no heat lamps. Our waitress was nice tho, that's the only plus.
google avatar

Matt P.

Yelp
This cellar used to be across the street in the cave. They had to move everything out of the cave so they can turn the soil to replant new grapes. The interior is very nice and with the doors opened and the nice cool breeze blowing in, it made the experience that much better. The person that was pouring our drinks was very nice and made very good recommendations. I highly recommend coming here if you want to avoid the crowds at the other wineries up the road.

Yelp
Stayed at the Meritage and while waiting for our room we decided to stop by Trinitas Cellars. Really cozy area. The outdoor seating seems really nice. We had Scott who served us and he was a true gentleman. Very very nice!! He made us laugh and truly catered to us. Thank you Scott for such an amazing experience. The wine was really good! Decent pricing. Highly recommend

Christina S.

Yelp
Walked in without a reservation, 2 servers/waitresses saw us come in but not welcoming at all. Was not greeted, no hello, no welcome in, nothing. After waiting awhile, a gentleman came and said he could seat us. We did their red wine tasting and it was very relaxing.

Yelp
One of the most amazing wineries I've been to so far! Not only do they have a winery, they have a spa too! If you've been here, you know exactly how I feel! The entrance of Trinitas sets the mood. It makes me feel like, I'm entering an underground vault. To the right, is the tasting room and to the left is the spa. We had the chocolate and wine tasting. I've never done that before so that was awesome. I think my favorite wine was the cab, for the life of me I couldn't remember the year :( After the tasting, we had the opportunity to tour the spa. They took us back to show us the Jacuzzi room, massage rooms, and the locker room. There are no words to describe the vibes, you're honestly going to have to come and see yourself. I am not going to lie though, the packages are pricey so please make sure that you review the menu or inquire about certain pricing. It would be perfect for a couples retreat, or even a birthday celebration with you and your girls, or even an anniversary gift, the possibilities are endless. Since my last visit, I have been in the process of making plans for me and my girls to return asap to the spa since we didn't get the full experience. Maybe we can do both the tasting and the spa.

Yelp
Instead of signing up for a pre-organized wine tour, we decided to take on wine country based off of the best choices we found on Yelp that could accommodate a procrastinating bunch of new wine appreciators. Trinitas Cellars is located underneath the vineyard. Pretty awesome. Took us a minute to find our way there because we were confused about it being in a hotel. Once you walk through the lobby, it'll be quite easy to find. I shared a chocolate wine pairing with Ervin so as not to get drunk at our first stop (I'm a lightweight). Chocolate & Wine is only $32.40 (taxed) and it includes a 2012 Chardonnay paired with a chili lime tequilla tortilla brittle, 2011 Mysteriama, Old Vine paired with Tart Cherry Truffle, 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon paired with a Cappucino Truffle, and a 2013 Sblam, Late Harvest Sauv Blanc paired with Lemon Zest Truffle. Among these 4 pairings, I would rank the Chardonnay and the Cabernet as my favorites! The flavors of the wine and the chocolate neutralized one another. The Sauv Blanc with Lemon Zest was a little too sweet for my taste buds. And the Mysteriama on its own was tasteful! You can't go wrong with Trinitas. Their sommeliers are extremely knowledgeable and took into account that my group and I were a bunch of first timers!

Yelp
The winery is sucks! They shipped to me I don't want the wine n charged my credit card without my my permission! Since Nov 1, I told them cancel any order shipment to me, they ignor n still send to my home ! Be careful !

Yelp
Had some business at the edge of Napa and I was with a coworker who had never been in the area before. We didn't really have time to sight-see or do a full tasting. I found Trinitas Cellars accidentally and at first thought I'd made an error for the short choice of a tasting. Boy was I wrong!! We were welcomed by Cynthia, who was lovely, engaging, and generous with greeting us to the area and giving us some background about the winery and owners. We were served complimentary tastes - And the wine was delicious! I tried both a Chardonnay and a Cab. Then we were also offered a sample of the Franc-is. Wow- yum! Such a great experience and lovely ambience! I will be back!
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this winery yet. I come here every time I'm in the Napa/Sonoma area. The winery is located in back of tge Meritage hotel and next to their spa in a cave-like setting. Very cool atmosphere and big enough to accommodate a good amount of people. They also sell a lot of wine-related gifts and souvenirs. The staff is always very friendly and they know their stuff. Their wines are good - not out of this world, but good. If you like a buttery, oaky Chardonnay, Trinitas has the absolute best! I also enjoy their Petite Syrah. One negative would be their wine tasting fees, which are $20 for a regular tasting of 5, $30 for the reserve tasting of 5, or $30 for the chocolate/wine pairing. I've done all 3 before and I actually enjoyed the chocolate/wine pairing the best, but the tasting price is on the high end. If you're a wine club member, you get tastings for free. We were a member at one time but ended up dropping because we discovered that we could buy the majority of their wines at our local wine store.

Yelp
Trinitas was an A+ The server was great, Specifically he was friendly, he was welcoming, he went the extra mile to make sure my wife and I had a great time on my birthday. There cheese plate was outstanding especially when coupled with the wines they offered. We highly recommend them. Good wines, good, cheese, good service.

Yelp
Yesterday we ventured to Napa Valley to do some wine tasting. Our first stop was Trinitas Cellers. Our amazing host Tony Robustelli really made us all feel really Special! Tony is so warm, genuine and outgoing. If you want to have a great time and also learn about the wines Tony is your man! He served us a selection of their best wines and was very knowledgeable about the different vintages poured. We ended up buying some of the Mataro which Tony told us should go perfectly with our Barbecue dinner tonight. Please check them out and be sure to hit them up and find out when Tony is working, you will be very pleased!

Yelp
Went to this wine bar with my bf because this place was open a bit longer compared to wineries and you don't need a reservation. From the yelp reviews we were under the impression that this place was going to be underground but it's under a Vineyard behind the hotel. You have no service in the bar so use their free WiFi! Wine: We got the chocolate and wine which is $30 per person. This set comes with very very small sips of 4 wines and 4 regular sized chocolates. The wine portion compared to the chocolate was very off, I left feeling I paid $30 bucks for 4 pieces of chocolate. The wines were sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, cab and I completely forgot the last one but it was a oaky wine. Service: Quite disappointing experience. Our server did not give us any kind of information about any of the wines. She just repeated everything we already read on the menu then walked away. Majority of the time she was with other customers.

Yelp
Went wine tasting here today. What a beautiful place! A must see if you're visiting the Napa Valley. I tried out several wines and continued on by purchasing quite a few. Just loved the hosts, Kimberly, Leslie and Curtis. They were all very knowledgeable and very friendly. "My wine glass runneth over. Thank you.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a little underground type winery that is located within a hotel. It was our last wine stop of the day as they are open a bit later than everything else. Overall, the presentation of the wine was was well done, but overall the wine was simply OK. The dude who presented everything did his job very well and gave our group a few laughs which is something every proper presentation needs. If you don't keep me entertained, there is a less chance of me buying a bottle. They have a chocolate pairing which works for all those who love chocolate. I'm not the biggest fan of mixing chocolate with wine, but my girlfriend seemed to really enjoy it. The ground on the outside were really nice though and we were even able to snoop on a wedding! I really did enjoy the grounds, even though I took a tumble due to being a bit on the intoxicated side. A good way to end a day of wine tasting in Napa.
google avatar

Mylene M.

Yelp
Cheers to 5 stars! Maybe it's because this place just met and exceeded my expectations for a great wine tasting experience in Napa. Or maybe it's because being there gave me so many warm and fuzzy feelings that now I'm feeling star-generous. Who knows. But there it is. First of all- shout out to my man Tony!! He's the kind of guy you'd want to share some wine with. Funny, light-hearted, and genuine. Thanks for the life advice! Next, the wine. It's $30-$40 for five tastings. It was comped for us because it's on our timeshare property. It was amazing, and it became more evident after visiting other wineries in the area. I especially liked their big cabs. We went home with an '06 cab and the 2013 CAB FRANCis. If you love Pope Francis like I do, ask them to tell you the story behind it. Also, they're open til 7pm, which is a huge plus.

Yelp
What an incredible find, like magic wine cave. So beautiful inside and the atmosphere is so friendly and fun! I was blown away by a gentleman who works here, who remembered me from 2 years ago. Impeccable service from our wine taster Kevin and a great team all around. We arrive 30 minutes before closing but me and my girls never felt rushed, Kevin took his time to explain the wines we were tasting and to laugh and joke with us. I will always come back here, great wine and good people's!
google avatar

Yelp
Trinitas was located in a "cave" behind the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa. What I enjoyed about the cellars was the ambiance- a not-so-dimly lit area with wines and other goods in the room (including doggie treats?!) Trinitas serve three types of wine flights- one custom flight, a reserve flight, and one which includes a chocolate pairing (from local Kollar chocolates)! My friend and I opted for the chocolate pairing, which comes with four wines and four distinct chocolate pairings, each paired very well with the wine it came with! If I were to go back, I'd opt for the custom flight because there were some wines there that caught my eye that I wasn't able to try the first time around. Maybe bring some chocolate along the way as well ;)
google avatar

Mary H.

Yelp
What a little gem to highlight the Meritage Resort. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable with their wines. It's located in the cave... Kinda dark when you first walk in but once you open those iron doors... Nothing but smiles! Yumm, loved the Meritage Cabs. Ayed and Ed are assets! After a long day of tastings it's the best feeling to just walk over and have a glass or two of wines at Trinitas. Good conversation, a warm and welcoming crowd and most of all, great quality wines. We tried the chocolates... I suggest sharing an order... Way too rich but a definite must try. And the breadsticks are addicting! So for a relaxing time and a nice wine experience... This is a must!

Yelp
Great service especially from Ray. Not only did he service us but he also sat with us and recommended spots to check out in Napa. Definitely worth coming back too

Yelp
This tasting room is touted as the first wine tasting cellar at a resort and the first underground one as well. That makes it cool, I guess. They do a good job of making the entry way look kind of cave like. It is technically underground, but mostly it's like entering the side of a hill. There is a nice little vineyard above the cave. The wines were decent and the little shop had some cool wine-related items. Maybe we just went during a slow day; there was only one person working and she was focused on the other group there, so we didn't get very much attention or information. The concept is really cool though. If you have time, you can walk around the vineyard area. If you climb to the top of the hill, there's a pretty cool view. There's even a bench, so it might be a nice place to have a picnic.

Michael N.

Yelp
I love this place. First found it when driving around wine tasting in a Sunday and was lucky enough to stop in and Wow they had Raider game on also. NFL and wine, gimme more. So I got a membership and every time I go there I find a new delicious wine and enjoy the company of their great staff. There is plenty of seating, both indoors and out. Being right at the entry into Napa it is a great place to start your tasting and pick up a few bottles.

Yelp
My 1st experience was back in April 2021 for my husband's bday which was pleasant. Granted it was in the middle of Covid so everything was a lot slower & businesses weren't too busy but all in all, it was basic. There wasn't any special accommodations for birthdays or anything "over the top" so I can't rate our experience all that great. We signed up for the wine club because the wine that we tasted was something we BOTH liked. Mind you, when you sign up for their wine club, there is a fee to cancel early which they don't disclose upfront. They sold it to us by saying we would be accommodated with free tastings every time we visit & get discounts for the spa (which we never received). Trying to plan ahead and book your reservation is almost impossible because you can't get a hold of anyone. Went for the 2nd time & brought a bigger party a couple months later, wasn't greeted & told us that our party was too big & couldn't have the kids sit during the tasting or else they would charge them. (Which I didn't understand why they would charge children to sit for a tasting) so my husband had to go back & forth from the courtyard to the table. Few months later, they sent the wrong wine order to us (which they fixed) but it took a while for us to receive. I tried to cancel my membership back in Nov 2021 & was charged for another order this month.

Yelp
Not sure how I haven't been to this place after so many trips in Napa and been to many other wineries. This place would give you a nice experience whether small or bigger groups. Love the ambiance and setting here! Super friendly service and their wine flight was actually pretty great!! I love how they offer variety of white and red, some places focus on specific red, but they do a nice job of their selections from Syrah, Zin, Cab. Good wine, nice outdoor patio, friendly host! Will be back for sure!

Joseph K.

Yelp
Would highly recommend the chocolate + wine tasting! Not normally not a big chocolate person but this was a truly stand out wine tasting for our time in Napa. Jerry, our pourer, was incredibly knowledgeable about all the wines and made us feel totally at home and comfortable. Would definitely return.

Yelp
I had been to the Meritage Resort many times for breakfast with the girls, spa day and work functions but this is my first time coming into the Trinitas Cellars (right side of the cave across from the spa). Parking is free and you can walk through the hotel to get to the cellar. The Cellar is nice and bright with nick nacks you Can buy throughout the store. It's a standing room for the tasting but there is one seating area at the end of the bar for 4 that we were able to sit at. We each did a tasting of the wine and chocolate pairing for $40. My sister in law said the prices have gone up over the years as it used to be lower for the tasting. Overall great chocolate and great wine. You can buy the chocolate you sample in the cellar as well. When you finish or before your tasting you can walk outside to the top of the cellar where the vineyards are to take pictures or go on a short short stroll. Caution for those in heels as it's a bit steep, we still walked it in our heels for the photo lol. Enjoy!
