Tasty Burger

This is my SECOND time eating here - - liked it so much LAST WEEK I made special trip this week. Had cheeseburger last week - - one of the VERY BEST I have ever had. The onion rings - - - thin-sliced PURPLE onions - - are the absolute BEST. This week I tried the Crispy Chicken sandwich - - - GO FOR THE BURGER - - similar at McDonald's is better - - still GOOD, though. The Raspberry Lime Rickey was nice. Thanks, team.

“This is a Tasty Burger” (in the voice of Jules Winnfield). Really impressed by this place. Was pleasantly surprised by how good the burger was and that a small bar existed in there. Staff was extremely polite and responsive and the price was perfect for what I was looking to spend for lunch in Boston. Right between Copley and Back Bay MBTA station - I’ll be stopping in more often on my Boston trips going forward.

Great food, and a quick stop. We wanted something fast and good. This place had food, good food, to us in less than 10 minutes.

Waiting for my train, I decided to grab a bite. The smash burger was tasty and good. The fries were hot, crisp, and good. The store has its own style, is inside but separate from the train station, and has a full service bar as well. I'd def make another purchase next time I stop thru that area. I enjoyed my meal!

Stopped here while waiting for a train.......food took almost 15 mins and it didnt appear that busy. Honestly one of the worst burgers I have ever been served. Not only was my burger basically raw the other we were served was half raw half medium (didn't even think this was possible). We also ordered tots and they were flavorless and unsalted. Will not be back.

Fast reliable service as soon as you place an order for a meal. Quality patties and vegetables stacked inside the burger as soon as you open the pouch. This is the only burger joint that I know that serves tater tots if you prefer over the French fried which they have on menu. If you are in the mood their milk shakes has a great rich smooth consistency. Very relaxed atmosphere especially when you are traveling and in need of a quick bite since this is right inside the city train station.

Was excited for my burger only to bite into it and realize it was entirely raw. I like my steak rare but this is truly unsafe.

As a foreign visitor to Boston, this restaurant provides the self-ordering machine that can easily order what you want by yourself. But I would say the lady at the front table is really warm and nice, she really has good patients for everyone, no matter he/she is foreigner. For the food part, I think there burger has larger size compared to Wendy. The fries here are also really good, probably because they fried it after got the order. The design of bag for burger is really smart. If you are the foreigner and don't know how to order the burger, this restaurant is the one you can consider!

Never had tasty burger before and it was a great snack after a night of drinking. The fries were nice and salty and I wish I took a picture of the burger but I was so hungry I ate it so fast!!! Love that this spot is open later than most places

Charles was nice , he suggested a great deal, made some nice convo w us. The ambience was nice, music playing while the games are playing on tv. The food came out extremely quick , they are definitely on it here.

my friends and i stopped by tasty burger after a debaucherous night of drinking because i was craving a glizzy the glizzy was heavenly and the perfect ending to our night. the fries here were also so hot and crispy. we walked by another group while holding our tasty burger and gave them a fry. they confirmed it was delicious and walked to tasty burger to get their own afterwards

Food: hamburger was burnt; fries no salt but salty Service: counter lady service was very slow and unprofessional, lack food and need to remind her Contacted customer service online, but no response(5 days now) This Tasty Burger location was really bad customer experience

The 3 star rating seems accurate to me. Service and food were below other Tasty Burger locations. Good for a late night bite - but probably wouldn't return otherwise.

I was sitting at the bar. Facing the kitchen. My bartender gave my food to a wrong customer, after the another took a bite of the burger, he realized it's a wrong order. The burger was returned back to the kitchen. guess what ? The kitchen staff QUICKY FIXED THE ISSUE, basically changed the paper wrap. then gave it back to the bartender. ONLY took like 10 seconds. Disgusting!!!!

Tasty Burger! What you see is what you get, no frills. I'm back to try it again, I was in Boston in 2016 found Tasty Burger it made a lasting impression on my tastebuds. The Original Tasty with Cheese and the all beef hot dog. The Dog is the appetizer, the burger is the main course. The Original Tasty with Cheese can run with the big dogs In-n-Out and Whataburger, this burger is basic but packs flavor. This So-Cal Yelper can't help touting Tasty Burger. It's so worth your time and effort

Ordered Dinner Wednesday 1/4/23 while at work I got a PATTY MELT with 2 Beef Patty, cheese smothered grilled onions. A order of onion rings and an order of FRIED MOZZARELLA BITES with marinara dipping sauce. And a 16 oz bottle of CANADA DRY LEMON LIME. The burger was cooked med well as requested the burger was delicious very happy with the preparation, the onion rings good, the fried mozzarella bites where great! Haven't ate at tasty burgers since before the pandemic! So I was very happy that my order was correct tasted good and everything was very satisfying!

After an initial issue with the Tasty burger at the Back Bay station where they threw away our order while we were using the bathroom, a representative from the company reached out and then subsequently went above and beyond to make up for the issue. We were amazed and impressed by the responsiveness and attention to customer service. We will definitely be going back for another try. I really value the effort and can't recommend them enough.

Not bad! I was in a bind, ordered Tasty Burger on a whim, and it ended up being pretty damn good. On the walk home from the Red Sox game, I kept telling my wife that we could eat at the hotel restaurant. Turns out... the kitchen closes early! Next, I assured her that we could order delivery to the hotel. Nope! The hotel is too fancy. So, I had to figure out how to procure some dinner at 11 PM on Friday night. I ordered Tasty Burger, which was luckily only a few blocks from the hotel. It was definitely good enough, given the bind that I was in. I had to dodge a few transients on the walk home with my burger. But... no harm no foul. I think the homeless folk were more interested in catching a buzz at this hour anyway.

Food is decent! Love the fry seasoning. Service slow and somewhat friendly. It is a little pricey.

I have to say, it's pretty silly that they offer a vegan veggie burger but do not have vegan buns, so you have to get it wrapped in lettuce. They also offer a vegan side salad, but have no vegan dressings. Do they actually think vegans want to eat dry salad, or is it that they think vegans don't actually exist? The one good thing I have to say is that they were playing rest music. But the music wasn't good enough to lure me back.

Just what I needed. It's 12:23am. I needed this burger. 10/10 would recommend. My friend ordered French fries and I stole one and that made it even better

Excellent burgers. However, today they lost my business by charging a price different from the posted sign and saying "it hasn't been updated" when I asked. If the sign hasn't been updated, then charge the posted price till you update it, no exceptions. UPDATE: Amelia did indeed contact me directly as stated in her comment, and seemed extremely concerned about the pricing issue and offered to refund the difference if I had paid it (I hadn't) and send me a gift card as well. I have to say, that's classy and good customer service damage control, and I am updating my review from 2 stars to 4 to reflect the general quality of the food.

Great burgers, veggie burgers, barbecue burgers and tater tots. Cheerwine soda too. Eclectic place with great fresh food!

I stopped in here around 3 PM on a Wednesday afternoon. There were a few people inside. I sat at the bar, where there were 2 other people seated. The bartender could tell it was my 1st time there so he recommended the meal deals. I got the Starving Student, which consisted of a cheeseburger, fries and a tall boy for $10. That is a great deal! I like that you can choose from either medium or well done for your burger. I got mine medium well and it was alright. I really enjoyed the fries. They were shoestring fries. Both the fries and burger were hot and tasted freshly made. You could tell the fries came from a hot, clean oil. Overall it was a great, quick lunch break and I will definitely stop by here again, if in the area.

I had put in a pickup order because I was under the impression that tasty burger has waitstaff, and was pleasantly surprised to find that at least the back Bay location does not, so I parked up on a booth. And the woman behind the counter was very nice. I got the patty melt and onion straws. The burger was cooked perfectly and very juicy and the cheese was gooey af. They don't season the patties but that's just as well, since they have salt and pepper there. The only issue I had was the onions. Purple onions have no place in a patty melt lol, and these ones tasted especially strange. Not rotten I don't think, but very off nonetheless. Definitely would recommend, but would advise that you ask for your burger with no onions. Also the men's room was very clean, but it's single occupancy and the lock is broken.

A more localized Boston version of In and Out burger. I would prefer more tasty fixin' options and a slightly lager burger, but I would never hesitate to go to this burger stand next to the Back Bay train station! Customer service was great also!

I love the burger but today I decided to try the buffalo chicken sandwich. the chicken was so fake/processed it tasty bad and hurt my stomach. I wouldn't eat that sandwich if it was free. I wish I never ate it and returned it but I had to get back to work... now I am paying the price.

Tasty Burger is great and this location is no exception. The food is consistent with what I've had at two other locations. The bar area is small but the staff are exceptionally nice. Eating in gets you the bonus of all the great seasonings and compliments at the bar and tables.

I usually get out of work after 10:00pm, and just the other night I found out I could get a beer, and a burger at that time ! Burger was delicious! Bartender just happened to be changing the Sam Adams keg, I got the first beer off a fresh keg! I totally recommend tasty burger any day of the week!

Came here for food asked for a well done burger was more pink than a medium well. Won't be back very disappointed.

The double cheeseburger was really really good. With several beers on tap, for a quick cheap meal it's a no brainer.

My friends and I came here for a late dinner. Since I had just eaten, I only got a milkshake. My friends opted for burgers with their milkshakes. Overall, service was pretty fast. The burgers were cooked to a perfect medium rare. However, I was not impressed with my milkshake. My chocolate milkshake was made by blending chocolate syrup with vanilla soft serve instead of just using chocolate ice cream. This made the drink overly sweet and unevenly blended.

The service was great and my veggie burger was good! The service was fast and friendly staff. They service the best veggie burger!

SANDY is the bomb dot com. She's 90% of the reason I come here. I mean, the food is on point, but she makes the entire experience worthwhile. 10/10 recommend this location. Ask for Sandy

Came back to get a burger! This time the mushroom burger...yes I liked it, I liked it a lot. I'll will be trying all burgers slowly but surely.

Came here on Christmas Eve after work and was hoping for a quick pick up but unfortunately the blond crack head who took my order left me standing there like an idiot for almost 20 minutes while she chatted with the one person at the bar (boyfriend maybe?). The onion rings were put up a minute after my order and when I finally received my severely undercooked burger that was obviously rushed because they forgot about me (it should be noted that I was one of 2 customers) I received my cold onion rings and an apology from the one guy who noticed my frustration. The 2 stars are for him even though it took him 10 minutes to figure out I wasn't standing there for my health. This experience was BULLSHIT.

Reasonably good food for a train station but it's MISERABLY hot inside because there's no AC.

It dawned on me yesterday after ordering on line for pick up how great,professional,and actually a great positive attitude every worker at this tasty burger location has(been going here for years sporadically and everything I have ordered has been perfect) unlike many other burger joints I have patronized/ one in particular in the back bay who shall remain nameless is incredibly rude nasty and I dare say corrupt/ well I just think the world of the Dartmouth st location of tasty burger/ and I tip cash for takeout everywhere except fast food burger joints/ that is now going to change(I appreciate those wonderfull workers at tasty

The upcharge on bacon is quiet ridiculous!! $3.25 is a little too much for a couple slices of bacon

I really Love the service they always go Above and beyond .But the past few months months that the ac has been down and it's unbearable.No customer nor​ coworker should have to be in this type of environment. Alot of people do not want to stay due to how hot it is in the establishment. And I'd hate to stop coming here

Great service. Good food. But hot as hell cause the AC isn't working. Feel so bad for the cooks here. Didn't stay as long as I usually do at the bar. Fix the AC sir.

This place gets MAJOR points for being open until 2 AM! We came here after a night out in search of some tasty freaking burgers and that's exactly what we got. I ordered the spicy jalapeño burger with tater tots and 50/50 fries and fried onions. The burger was delicious but after 5 bites I had to remove all the jalapeños from the sandwich because it was just too spicy for me. The burger meat itself was perfectly cooked at a medium rare I would say-which I had no qualms with. I forgot to order a milkshake because I was too drunk. But, I'll save that for next time I'm back!

Good food and app! Service used to be less attentive and slow at the front counter, but has improved a lot as well.

The burgers are simply delicious. I've had the Big Tasty burger on a few occasions, sometimes with bacon and sometimes without. I love the juiciness of the burgers and the size is well proportioned. Five star on the burgers! This rating is only towards their onion rings, their less than stellar onion rings. I love onion rings and at other places they are made well, thick cuts of rings with a nice, crispy batter on it. My friend ordered the 50/50, which consisted of half fries and half onions for $5. I ordered just the onion rings for the same price. The onion rings were cut very thin and was soggy when we got them. I can't believe how thin the onion rings were!! I'm disappointed! Very disappointed! Tasty burger, you can do better than that. At least provide a few good size andpieces of whole onion rings for that price instead of the super thin and sad looking rings that was mostly batter than onion rings. Updated: 3/16/2018 My friend K.C. and I went back to try out the onion rings again, with hopes that it'll be a great experience. We also ordered chicken sandwiches (one buffalo and the crispy one) just to try it out. Their buffalo chicken sandwich hardly have any buffalo sauce on it. A bit disappointed to say. I really can't say the onion rings were fabulous either, but it was a notch better than the last experience. I made it a point to take a picture this time to really show how the "rings" were. I think it should be called onion strings instead of rings because there were more strings and batter with our order than rings. My friend and I are avid dippers and because it was too flimsy and stringy, it was difficult for us to dip with sauce. K.C. had to use a fork to scoop up the rings. Funny and sad at the same time. We also ordered Tater Tots with our chicken sandwiches just to see, and it's pretty standard tots you can get anywhere. I'll venture here for their burgers for sure, but their onion "rings" and their chicken sandwiches are okay. Again the 2 star rating is only for the onion rings!

Typical fast food place except for the menu. They serve some unusual items such as sauerkraut dog and tater tots. Service is fast and friendly and the cost is reasonable. They get an extra star for the large menu ( for a fast food place).

I gotta say for a place named tasty burger i would have expected more. Little hamburger joint next to the railway station so perfect for a quick bite before jumping on the acela to NJ. Got myself ready for a tasty burger with some tasty sauce on it (still don't know what that is) but you know what - it wasn't very tasty at all. It was actually kind of bland. Maybe they forgot the tasty sauce???? Ordered the 50/50 mix of fries and onion rings. Onion rings were pathetic little slivers of wet onion batter. The box was huge, could have been enough for 2. The fries i will say were excellent. There is a young staff working there, lots of goofing around and the music was loud as hell. Not a place you can hang very long if you are an older music lover. Think of this as a fast food joint but not as good as a Five Guys or In-and-out burger. It was ok....

This is only my second visit to tasty burger and the quality control is already...GONE! My burger was mostly raw meat. Since I was already home before I opened it, I just cooked it to "medium" myself. Seeing how thin the burger patties are, I wonder how long it was ever on a grill. THE DEAL: check your burger before you leave. Maybe they were just having an off night?

Tasty Burger is the quintessential late night burger joint that you frequent after some solid night's drinking. I wouldn't go to this place expecting greatness nor service service extraordinaire, but a good size cheeseburger does hit the spot around 2am. The burgers here are actually pretty good and the fries are awesome. I'd recommend this place for a late night salt fix. Pros- Burgers Location Price Menu Fries Cons- Crowded Disinterested service

I've been to this tasty burger a few times and am shocked it is only three stars. In my opinion this is the best burgers in the area. Maybe even best in Boston. I definitely rate it above shake shack because one it is more filling and two it is not as greasy. I've been on a mission to try all their different burgers and today I tried their hubba burger which is chili, cheese and scallions. Unfortunately this one I would not recommend. I think the cheese whiz they use takes away from the burger. From my experience their trademark big tasty burger is still by far my favorite. If you come here for the first time that is the burger you should get. I've also tried all of their sides. The tots are very crispy and good, but halfway through I typically get tired of them. The fries are on the skinnier side but are well made and are probably my favorite out of the sides. The last is the onion rings. For a nice change of pace I would definitely recommend the onion rings. They come out fried but are skinnier and aren't what you would normally think of when you say onion rings. The best way I could put it is the onion is pulled apart to make them limp then are fried to a good level of crispy. Give this place a try if your looking for a burger!

Staff: very friendly. Saw the manager give a toddler a Balloon. Ordering: fast. Ordered the big tasty combo meal added chipotle mayo to the burger. Wait: took a while as they had orders in front of mine but wasn't bad. Taste of food: burger- AWESOME! Fries- had better but was okay. Would I go again: yes!

A few issues with Tasty Burger that will have me spending my dollars elsewhere. I ordered a mushroom burger, fries and a ginger ale. First, it took a bit longer than it should to receive my order. But what also bothered me was that the cashier was using the same gloved hands to handle cash AND touch ppl's food...yeah, the burgers are wrapped but not the fries. When my order finally came, it was wrong. Instead of a mushroom burger, I was given a cheeseburger. What if I was allergic to tomatoes or lettuce? In the hustle & bustle, ppl usually just grab n' go, taking bites without looking. NOW I have to spend more time waiting for the right burger to be made. The cashier threw in an extra fries which I told her she didn't have to do. I didn't want them. Not attending to the customer can't be waved away with free food. I don't frequent Tasty Burger much and honestly, their food just tastes too oil soaked. The fries were hot but oil tasting, no flavor. The same with the burger. Thankfully, the steak sauce gave it some taste. Honestly, other fast food chains have y'all beat when it comes to taste.

I was very pleased by this place. They're at the Back Bay station so I wasn't expecting much. They had such great service, food, and atmosphere. I ordered a 'Big Tasty' combo that came out to $10.50. Ordered it medium well and it came out medium well! The burger was juicy, fresh, and overall well done. The onions, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce all complimented well. The fries were thin and plentifully which is great. A worker came around while we were seated and asked us if everything came out good which shocked me needless to say. they also have a bar and full service area which is cool if you are into that. Wait time was under 8 minutes.

I came here last Saturday after not eating enough at a tapas spot (not surprising really) with a friend for his birthday. It was around 10-11, so any food after booze should taste good. The food didn't quite meet the expectations, but I also ordered the wrong stuff, so go figure. The buffalo chicken sandwich was just a chicken sandwich with the buffalo sauce on it so that wasn't much to write home about. The fries were kinda dry, sigh (rhyme intended). It's somewhat justified since they are shoestring style but it's not what I usually look for in french fries. Come here for a burger and maybe a shake. A place good for a lunch break from work. The food here is fairly priced compared to shake shack, yet the service could be improved by shortening waiting time and making the food pick up process more organized - for example, set up a tv to show customers when will their orders be ready, instead of having everyone stand in front of the counter waiting for the employees to shout out their names. Sometimes you might have to wait up to 15 minutes at lunch hour, and constantly confused by your namesake's order. Highly recommend their onion rings, fries and fried tots! The onion rings are skinny in size and crispy in taste.

It was late at night around midnight and the only thing open was Tasty Burger. So I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Rise n Shine Burger and onion rings. First, I received my order and right before I went to eat it, the worker goes sorry that's not yours. So I had to wait for my food, but at this point I should of received a free meal. I waited a long time before I finally received my food and they gave the other person who was waiting a free pie, but I didn't get anything. The burger had decent flavor, but it was a bit cold and the bun was a bit soggy. The egg was cooked perfectly and the bacon was cooked right, but the burger was nothing special. The onion rings were good, they were thin and crispy. Also, the price was cheap, the burger was only $6.25. Overall, Tasty Burger is fine for the price, but with so many better burger options in Boston, I suggest going somewhere else.
