The combo lo mein was okay. I kind of wish it had egg in it and if I was to get it again, I'd get just the chicken. I was a little thrown off by the fact it would be done in 5 minutes after I called, and by the fact the person at front was asking me just to sign and leave the total and tip empty on my credit card slip. Lastly I'm sure this is just a one incident issue, but always check your chopsticks before you dig into your food especially the kind that isn't sealed. My Chopsticks look like it had dried food and bite marks on them

1st time here based strictly on Yelp reviews. Simple meal. We ordered two different entree' with white rice. More than enough food. Next time we will get one entree' and split the food.

Our favorite tiny Chinese restaurant! The hot and sour soup is delicious, and the chicken in garlic sauce is so good! I was super happy to open it and find that the veggies included were carrots and celery! I’m not sure why there are any bad reviews for Tasty Garden— the food is always hot and fresh, and the people are so nice! It’s also a great value for the portions given— I usually get 2 meals out of one portion!

Second time to grab some yummy goodness from Tasty Garden. 1. This place is super clean!!! 2. The food comes out very quickly. 3. The staff is very helpful. 4. Everything is delicious 😋 5. So many good choices. Definitely a place to try in Frisco if you like Asian food.

Ordered sesame chicken with steamed rice. It was TERRIBLE! Chicken tasted old and rice was over cooked. I think they served me left overs from the day before! I would not recommend.

Best Chinese food for a small restaurant I've had in a few years. Attention to detail on our order! Rare these days. The General TSO's Beef, which is rarely even offered even in some larger restaurants, was excellent! Smaller appetites, the portion could be split. Dumplings were great! Egg drop soup, average. Crab Rangoon, average. Timing for pickup order was perfect. I highly recommend this location!

Well organized menu, good prices, great quality. My human beef was very tender and the portion was really two meals worth of food at least. It was delicious, and my food came out in like 5 minutes. Perfect stop for lunch, will definitely come back. Get the hot and sour soup!

The food taste good and is classic Asian American food from fried rice to sweet and sour chicken to all that .place will need an update for sure,service is minimal as they will bring the food to you but you will serve your own drinks and get utensils.Lots of their business is togofood

We've eaten here a bunch and always come back. Even if it's a bit of a drive, it's worth it every time. Out of all the Chinese spots we've tried around Frisco and nearby cities, this one beats them all. The meals are made fresh, full of flavor, and way better than the usual chain places. I'm going with the sesame chicken, my wife's favorite is the Kung Pao. Food was out within 10 min. Better and faster than McDonald's. Great customer service awesome place. Plenty of room for small and big families.

Service is not good, girl on the front are very rude and not interested for customers at all. I have been there few times because of food but always feel like she is lazy to take an order... don't want to go back .

This place was recommended from a Reddit page. The hot and sour soup was great ! The rest of the food was subpar, we ordered chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice & sesame chicken. I also can't believe they charge you for the hot chilli oil, never in my life have they charged me for chilli oil. This place was one and done for us. Our search for good Chinese continues !

I've been eating here since 2010, the first time my family dine in here, I feel like I'm in the movie the two staff during their break got into argument and fight like a ninja lol. But when it comes to food I love it, and I like the old guy who looks like the guy from the movie squid game but he is an expert when it comes to cooking. The food really tasty as the restaurant name implies, so far I have not encountered any issue unlike the First Chinese bbq I reviewed last time.

I ordered the hunan chicken. It was beautiful. Nice tender chicken slices and crisp fresh vegetables. It was also steaming hot. I love when my food actually stays hot while I'm eating it. This will be my new favorite dish at Tasty Garden.

We used to eat at Tasty Garden at least once a week when we lived in Frisco. We moved away. But we have the opportunity to come back to Frisco, so we just did our favorite Chinese restaurant. I do love the fact that I can watch the food being cooked. My wife got the orange chicken. She says she'll never find another place that makes it like tasty garden. I got the beef and vegetables and it was fantastic. The egg rolls are fantastic and are always hot.

I've only ever had the Spicy Korean Beef from here, and it is delicious! I get it with medium spice and no jalapeños. It is truly one of favorite Asian dishes. And I love that they give you plenty of rice to go with it. I had this for the first time in years the other day, and it is still as great as I remember. Wish I lived closer so I could have it more often. Beyond amazing.

We love the orange peel chicken. The wonton Rangoons are tasty and creamy. The chicken curry was no big shake, I personally e joy the coconut cream and this was more of a stew type of curry. It was easy to order online, and easy to pick up in 10-15 mi s after placing order.

The service was not good. reception lady could not give us a receipt. She would not even say thanks for coming as we left.just stayed on the phone The food was not that hot and fried shrimp was not many.Not going back

One of the few Chinese restaurants in Texas that serve Egg Foo Yung. The service was good and the price was a little high but everything is more expensive now.

In an effort to find our new favorite chinese place we tried tasty garden and ordered vegetable fried rice and chicken fried rice for take out. The food was ready in ten minutes and tasted great. Very big portions This is the first time we have seen so many veggies in vegetable fried rice, like how it should be. It had onions, bean sprouts, peas , carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, snap peas, water chestnuts, baby corn, zucchini and celery. I do wish they steamed the broccoli and cut the celery a bit small. For once the fried rice dish was not all rice Will definitely keep going back

This is by far the best Chinese food in Frisco/DFW area. Real authentic flavors. We are from Hawaiʻi so finding a good Chinese restaurant here has been hard to find. We're so grateful we found this one! Egg fu yong & the crispy pan fried noodles (cake noodles) was amazing. And the orange chicken was FIRE. The staff were also very sweet! Love small businesses like this one. Must trust for sure! Aloha

Solid Chinese food and good sized portions! Loved the appetizer spare ribs and hubs loved the spicy Korean beef. Fair prices for above average quality. My husband said the woman at the register was not friendly at all. It would behoove the restaurant to read the reviews because they seem fair for the most part and would help them improve.

Thankfully this place is back to being great. I used to love going here around 2015 fire a few years then around C19 they became cheap and rude. I went back a few days ago and the Moo Goo Gai Pan was delicious and had plenty of zucchini which is my absolute favorite! I also had been craving orange chicken but that was disappointing because it used to have veggies and the chicken was really dry. No orange flavor and needed to be spicy I think. Skip that here. Chicken and Shrimp was amazing. Get it for sure!!

Decently clean environment with pleasant service, however the food was not great. the chicken was dry and lacked flavor in my opinion. the fried and steamed rice are okay and the noodle aren't greasy like some places but also unfortunately lacked flavor. The night following my meal myself and friend both dealt with stomach pain and nausea that ultimately could be attributed to our meal.

The Lo Mein was soggy and the beef tasted boiled and was grisley. The dumplings were okay but dense and flavorless. I should have suspected it wouldn't be great when I walked in at noon and was the only person there. At least it was clean

I used to frequent this place but switched up and recently returned because I was in the neighborhood. They've always been pretty solid so I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed returning. I've been twice recently and ordered the general tso chicken both times. I LOVE that each piece is truly chicken (and white meat at that) and it's not a whole lot of bread that you find at other restaurants that serve this. The menu states its spicy but its not. My issue with this entree is the chicken us drowned with sauce. Now the first time I'd returned I didn't know, but the second time I ordered it I specifically said LITE SAUCE--but that's not what was provided. The chicken was delivered 3 second from soggy and I had to get another plate to save it from drowning. That's gross yall. I appreciate a crunch with a light crunch when I have this, not chicken swimming in a sweet sauce juice. Overall the taste was good and it was definitely fresh. If I order this again and it comes out this way, it WILL be returned. In other news, the lunch special was reasonably priced (and they even had shrimp/combo fried rice as a lunch special option--few folks do that nowadays), that all come with egg roll and choice of rice. The fried rice that comes with the entree is your typical basic fried rice--light soy added and 1/2 an egg- so nothing exciting there, but edible. They have several options, so it's worth a try.

Ordered takeout: I honestly didn't like the food at all... The crab rangoons were chewy, not crunchy, and barely had any filling. The rice was very dry and did not taste fresh. The chicken was ok, but drowned in sauce. I would likely eat at Panda Express or Pei Wei before eating here again.

The food here is absolutely delicious!! It is much better then my expectations by far!! I would highly highly recommend coming here!! I could eat myself into a coma with this food!! I got the LoMein with beef and shrimp, 10/10 absolutely love. I tried my boyfriends sesame chicken and ooooh my god, mouth watering!! It is so crispy and sweet and just absolutely delicious in every way possibly!! Everyone in my family loves the food. Like I said, I highly recommend this place!!

What a treasure! I had the standard flair of broccoli and beef along with crab Rangoon. I have to say I was completely shocked as this was absolutely incredible. I have been going to little chains here in Frisco, such as lucky 99 and a plethora of others. This, however, stood so far apart with the kitchen being open for viewing. The staff was & the kitchen with stunningly clean. I watched them prepare the fresh vegetables versus all of the frozen stuff you get from other Chinese places. If you want some great food, then look no further Frisco! This is right around the corner from my gym at Crunch, perfect for post workout food.

This is your standard sub par Americanized why do they put so much gooey sauce on your food Chineese place. I recommend you find a better alternative. Ok, here we go on visit #2! I have ordered orange chicken which they just sat in front of me with a bowl of white rice. It is steaming and looks very appetizing. Lunch special so it comes with an egg roll. Much better than my first visit. Chicken is crunchy and the sauce not to sweet. The egg roll is sub par and prepared ahead. Too bad! A freshly cooked egg roll would have made the meal above average for Americanized Chinese fast food. Instead it's just ok although better than last time.

Good food with very generous portions! The Beef fried rice tasted fresh and appetizing. The orange chicken had good quality chicken and was not too hard or crunchy. Price was very reasonable. The only recommendation is that the Crab Rangoon's did not contain very much filling. I would order from here again. Thank you!

Order my food before 9pm & restaurant about a 10min walk from my apt & here it is 1016pm no food & of course restaurant is closes @ 10pm & no way of reaching restaurant so restaurant ppl can contact the delivery person bc i have no way of reaching delivery driver ... and when i called like 950pm & she said driver left 15mins ago... & still no food ... Here it is Mdy 7/12/2021 @ 1135pm & still no food no texts no calls from delivery driver nor the restaurant... Will be going Tues., 7/13 when they open to get my full refund... nvr again use this restaurant.. they take your order & monies and do NOT deliver ...

First time here and it was a great experience! We ordered our food at the register and it was on our table very quickly. The staff was very friendly and the inside of the restaurant was very clean and put together. They had a huge menu to choose from and gave recommendations if asked. The only downside was that the tables were a little small and the food did not have to be brought just a tad slower so it would not be one right after the other. So you could eat a little rather then feeling rushed to eat. Other then that I definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

Tasty Garden is your typical Chinese-American fare. As you walk in, the cashier is at the front where you place your order. They have decent lunch specials, which are $6.99 for chicken, $7.50 for beef, and $7.99 for shrimp. The specials includes an egg roll and rice. I opted for the Curry Chicken and my friend got the Kung Pao Chicken. The food took about 5 minutes to come out, and it's a healthy serving. I was able to take half of it home to eat for dinner. As for the flavor, nothing blew me away, but nothing to criticize either. Both of our dishes came with a lot of vegetables, which I appreciated. The inside is clean and the service is prompt. It's not anything I am going to write home about, but it's an okay spot to get a bite to eat.

Nothing flashy about this place, pretty dated on the inside but that's how you know it's good! This is my second time eating here and the combination fried rice is some of the best.

First off, the food was very good! We had the combo fried rice, Mongolian beef and chicken string beans and all were delicious! The young lady at the counter was friendly and fast. We did a mobile order and it was ready for pickup at the promised time.

THIS PLACE SUCKS. Stay way from here. The lady who works here was rude. Id be okay if the food was ok but no. It was $10 for trash food.

Delicious food and fast delivery,but they are a little overzealous in regards to tip. We ordered online and it gives you the option to tip when you pay, my husband opted out, to tip in cash. Right after the order went through, someone from the restaurant called and said, "you forgot to tip" lol. Which my husband responded that he had cash to do so. Ive never had someone call regarding a tip. (Tips are optional. And why do i have to tip when i pay for my food. Ill tip the driver when he gets here.) so the driver gets here and I opened the door, i greet and reach my hand out to take my food and he dang near holds onto my food and states, "oh, the tip please?" Like dangg who said this was mandatory?? Super passive aggressive. Almost held my little fried rice hostage lol. I didnt like that and moving forward, i will probably just pick up bc the food is really good. Just be prepared to tip before hand or run the risk of getting a little physical with the delivery driver. Lol (JK) Husband said the orange chicken is really good. The beef and broccoli had a weird after taste, like dish soap . But the shrimp fried rice and veggie egg rolls were chefs kiss.

I have passed this place for years. I finally tried it not once but twice! It's delicious! I tried my favorite, beef with bell peppers. I ate it before I could take a picture.

I took a friend there today on Friday for her birthday lunch. Such a great choice. I have eaten there before so I knew the wonton soup was excellent. She loved the dumplings and we shared General Cho Chicken. The servings are huge. Everything is cooked to order, you can see in to the kitchen. Service was so pleasant. We certainly will be visiting again soon.

When Panda Express taste better than this place , you can gauge how this food is. Broccoli beef was the most bland dish and orange chicken tasted like orange sauce fried batter. Wonder how they it at this prominent place. Even the egg roll was real bad. Would never recommend this place. My

Exactly as I want my Chinese food. Hot, fast, well known dishes that taste great. Made by people who grew up with Chinese food, not " Brad" , "Heather" n "Pepe" over at Pei Wei. If you want some specialty "crab rangoon" whatever food, with lots of crab, well.. that costs more than what you're paying here, and it takes time to make it. Get real, Tasty Garden has a large menu, low prices and fast service.

I was there for lunch and got the Orange Chicken and found a piece of what looked to be a chicken's foot. When I ask what it was the employee said, " it is made from dark meat." ( maybe meant dark feet) Never ever again.

No No No flavor in my shrimp fried rice. On the bright side, the portions are generous. I asked for extra napkins and the cashier told me I had a napkin already in my bag. I did have one napkin. I asked for extra and did not receive any. I asked for extra soy sauce and received two packs, which with the one I already had is not enough for this amount of flavorless rice. No return visits for me.

My 1st time to eat in the restaurant as son bought some to go awhile back. Nice clean store front, comfortable seating. Food was good, tasty, although portions were decent, a little disappointed. For the money, seemed a bit pricey. My kids liked it though as eat here at least once a month or so. As is with most restaurants, if you drink water, you'll save money. All in all, would eat here again, but sure for coupon. Peace

Loved my lo mein so yummy, can't wait to come back which will be soon! The dish wasn't gummy or suspicious looking, I like how you can see them cooking, the entire dish was flavorful, I like how they have chili oil so you can spice it up, the beef was tender, and looked like actual meat. So very happy with my dish

Love the Fried Rice! Typically large portions, and their dishes are full of flavor and fresh ingredients. This is my go-to Chinese restaurant in the area! My only criticism, hence the 4 stars, is because it seems like if you get any dish with beef (including a chicken and beef combo fried rice entrée for example) you will receive significantly less beef compared to a chicken or even shrimp meal. You pay about $1-2 more for beef dishes, but you get a lot less. I know beef is more expensive than chicken, but the difference in what you get for the price is extremely noticeable and this isn't an issue at some of the other Chinese restaurants. They have really good beef here too, but because that's the one meat they consistently skimp on the portions for, I can no longer comfortably order it. Other than that, I love this place.

I order delivery from here usually around once a week. The food has always been good and they have menu options that other places don't have. The eggplant in garlic sauce is good but it's different from any other place I've ever had it. It's breaded here but at most other places it's not. The clear beef noodle soup is really good! Definitely one of my favs! Out of all of the Chinese delivery places in the area I would say this is one of the best.

They failed to deliver all of the things I ordered...rice being one of the most important parts of the meal. I called to let them know and the lady told me she'd talk to driver when he got back and hung up. Huh?! Like not even a resolution? I called again because I just laid down money and tip and delivery fee for a meal that I didn't receive in full and she again said she would ask the driver if he delivered everything or not. I'm still not sure what that meant. Then she said she was busy and had to go! So I'm here witj my protein and no fried rice...trying to feed my family...waiting to see if she ever calls back...‍

I usually don't leave reviews but am compelled to leave a review this time due to the amazing & tasty Chinese food we've had at the Tasty Garden restaurant. The service was excellent, you can watch the food being prepared, food tasted amazing. Must try this place out, you'll become a regular here.

Bad service. Ride employees. Very slow. Tea is horrible. Very salty food. Won't come back. Yuk.

When I bit into the General Tso's chicken and it was actually spicy I just knew I had finally hit a home run with finding Chinese food similar to what I'm accustomed to from both coast. Had I just stuck with steamed rice this would've been 5 stars. However i also ordered shrimp fried rice and that's where the let down occurred. The vegetable soup in it were under cooked and some shrimp only half deveined. The flavor wasn't exactly right either. As a stand alone rating the shrimp fried rice would get a 2/5 from me. That's how good the General Tso's was that this is still a 4 star review.

I came here for a work lunch with a large group. It was nice having the ordering up at the counter so that automatically "split" the bill, but since we were ordering individually, our food came out at different times. I guess you can't have it all. The atmosphere is nice, with self serve everything and a window to see into the kitchen, something you don't find at many Chinese restaurants. The pricing here is very good. The lunch special was only $5.99 and came with rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was not that great though. I had the General Tsao's Chicken to play it safe since this was my first time here. It was okay, but there was a lot of breading on the chicken. For the price, it makes sense. I also had the crab rangoons, which were good, but again, did not have much filling. For the price, it is a good value, but if you are looking for something "tastier" (no pun intended), look elsewhere.
