AMAZING flavor. Great service. Huge portions. Finally a fast lunch place that’s actually worth the price!!!!! Had the chicken and mushrooms over rice with the spicy chili sauce, chickpeas and okra on the side. Evan had lamb and chicken over rice with potatoes and salad on the side. EVERYTHING was amazing!!

Definitely recommend! My girlfriend and I have been a regular here for at least 3 months and we have never had a bad experience. Matt is always very helpful and they’re open till late. Tasty Kabob also is involved in projects that aim to reduce food waste which just makes this place perfect. The lamb is my favorite and it is delicious!

I went here a few months ago for a quick lunch date with my husband. The food was well seasoned, enjoyed the portions and the contrast between salty and acidic. When we are back over on that side of town, I look forward to going back for another meal.

Ate Tasty Kabob multiple times a week from their food truck that was at GW while I was in college. Was relieved to find they also have a physical location. Really enjoy this place as you get some awesome flavors for the same price as a chipotle/cava but much more interesting sides.

Had the chicken and gyro with sides of chickpeas, spinach and some potatoes over a bed of seasoned basmati(?) rice. Everything was amazing--everything! Tons of flavor, juicy and tender meats, incredibly generous portions. Was mine and my buddy's first time at Tasty Kabob and Matt, one of the partners, took extra good care of us and we appreciated that. Can't wait to return.

The food is decent. Tried the chicken and lamb. Lamb is gyro meat. Potatoes were slightly bland. Portion is decent.

Delicious and everyone loved it - from the little ones to the grand-parents! All the sides are mild and you can chose the spicy-ness yourself. Also they have Boylan sodas 🙌

With all the raving reviews, I expected more. Salad = just lettuce. I also didn't get any of the sauces I asked for. Instead I received NO sauces. It's totally dry. Order said it was ready, and when I showed up 10 minutes after that, it was not ready. The to-go size was incredibly small. I'm not sure if this is what it's like in the restaurant itself, but the other neighboring restaurants have bigger portion sizes at higher quality for less money. For this combined experience, $18 is definitely not worth it, and I wish I could get a refund since I didn't actually get what I requested, plus it wasn't ready when it said it was. Two stars instead of one is simply because the flavor was good.

Yelp
I was in town for work along with a number of my team members, and we were starving! I found Tasty Kabob on UberEats so we decided to try it. What a treat!! The food was amazing!! We all enjoyed various combos with chicken and rice and okra and salads and spinach. Everything was delicious! I will definitely order from them again when I'm next in town.

Yelp
They messed up my Uber eats order badly, and instead of canceling my order, decided to send me an order missing items I asked for, replaced with items I never asked for. I got a gyro sandwich meal which is supposed to come with a pita bread wrap. They gave me rice instead of the pita bread wrap, and the rice was really bad and inedible. Poor and unusually flavored rice with too much grease. The sandwich is supposed to also come with 2 side dishes. I marked potato for one side dish, and a second pita bread for the other side. They provided the potato, and for the second side sent me chickpeas as well which I absolutely did not want. It seems they were out of Pita bread or employees were unwilling to cook more pita bread. The potatoes had a very odd, mildly sweet flavor to them. The chickpeas also had the same mildly sweet flavor. They use the same orange colored sauce in both their potato and chickpea dishes, and its a really bad mix with potatoes and chickpeas which are meant to be savory and salty, not sweet. They didnt give me any of the pita bread I asked for, so I basically had to throw out nearly the entire uber eats order, besides the chunks of meat itself, which I ate with some rice and the two types of sauces they offer; i believe one is tzatziki based and the other is some sort of white garlic cream sauce. I did not like anything in the order besides the meat itself and the sauces. The sauces did an okay job of covering up some of the odd flavor in the rice. Their meat is different than what you normally get for gyro meat- its cubes of lamb or beef chunks with some seasonings, but it isn't bad. I would not be able to order delivery from here again because they may provide random replacement items. Also for the price paid you really dont get much meat, rice, or side dishes.

Yelp
Assembly-line style Mediterranean spot that is one location of a small DMV chain I came here for lunch and the place was eerily empty. The only people were was one other party here and one guy behind the counter. The guy gave me the wrong order and the food was all mediocre. This being said, I did get a LOT of food. I got a gyro and it honestly had too much stuff in it so it fell apart all over the place. There are worse things in the world though...

Patricia S.

Yelp
The food was delicious! The chicken was moist and the white sauce was to die for!! Place was very clean and easy to order up front (chipotle style). Fast service. Def would go back and try the lamb

Nina R.

Yelp
4 stars. I heard about this place from my Instagram feed so I bookmarked them on Yelp. Pros: They serve great size portions, the basmati rice has pretty good flavor, the gentleman working there made recommendations on his favorites and what to give a try, although it was busy, he had a pleasant manner about him which was cool to observe because he was cooking meats on the grille and serving customers. I had a combo of chicken and lamb gyro meat, potatoes in thick sauce, spinach and white garlic sauce on the side. Delish!!! Cons: I thought the chunks of lamb or gyro meat should have been cut smaller or thinner how it's traditionally presented. I had to cut the chunks because they were just slightly too chunky, lol. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's very casual dining, not a sit down dining experienc. It's similar to chipotle, like most casual dining these days, where the food has already been prepared and you point to what you want and it's put in a to-go container. Highly recommend.

Jack S.

Yelp
Absolutely great. I ordered the combo (chickens and Lamb) half rice and half salad. Huge helping was very tasty. Easy to add sauces of your liking. Staff is super friendly. I recommend and the prices were also very good!!

Melanie J.

Yelp
The food was fresh and served quickly. The service was great it was only one person at the time but they were attentive to the ordering station while prepping for dinner. The space was clean and quiet. Would def go again before watching a movie at Showplace Icon!

Donald P.

Yelp
I saw the 4.5 star rating and decided this was where I was going for dinner. Parking in front of the street is packed but cars seemed to come and go pretty frequently around 7pm on a Wednesday. Ordered one meatball platter and one chicken platter. It was my first time here, so I didn't know what to expect. However, what I did not expect was actual meatballs with sauce at a kabob place. I was even more disappointed to get 5 meatballs on a $15 platter. It gets worse. The two sides of okra and spinach were a disappointment. The portions looked more like half spoons. As I ate my meal, I was a little put off because it was completely loaded with oil. The chicken platter was ordered with chickpeas and potatoes which were a lot less oily.

Dennis T.

Yelp
I can't believe I never knew this place existed. I love halal food and there is one in the Boro!! The service was great - in & out very quickly and the food was prepared neatly. I got the "Box" with rice and got both chicken and lamb. The chicken was slightly dry but they drench the platter with the white sauce. The white sauce had some dill taste to it l, which was interesting. I wish I got more of the red sauce - it was not spicy at all. It's a good option for a lunch spot if you work around there. The portions are a bit small compared to other places but definitely filled me up. Would highly recommend.

Zaid Y.

Yelp
Halal Kabob places are some of my favorite types of food, so I had to try Tasty Kabob. I ordered the combo platter with spinach and potato for takeout. The meat was both flavorful and cooked well while sides were tasty. I also really liked how there were several sauces on the side that added more flavor/spice. Though, one complaint I do have is I wish they gave some type of extra carb/starch such as bread, French fries, etc. to dip in the sauces. It would have elevated the meal and made it even more enjoyable. Regardless, I enjoyed the food here, but I think there are better kabob places around.

Sanchita G.

Yelp
This place was a fast causal restaraunt that was really goood!! :) the ambiance is just like a chipotle styled place!! the service was fast even though the line was HUGEEEE and the place was packed. it was lunch hour so thats probably why i got the bowl with half rice and half salad with chicken and 2 of the mild and 2 of the spicy sauces! it did not dissappoint!! i would def come back! the chicken tasted like tandoori chicken which is my favorite. in addition, i was not obscenely tired and full after eating the bowl which was appreciated. the quantiity was just right for me!

Kimberly J.

Yelp
Yum! Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The restaurant is clean and organized. No servers here, place your order at the counter and seat yourself. Employees are friendly, helpful, and quick. Our order was neatly wrapped. Tried their Kabob Platter, which was delicious! They also offer Wraps, Kabob Box, and Veggie Plate. Proteins include Chicken, Lamb, Chicken & Lamb, Meatball (on selected days), and Chicken Mushrooms. Sides include Chickpeas, Spinach, Potatoes, Okra, Side Salad, and Pita Bread. The meats were incredibly flavorful and the sides were all seasoned well. Nothing was overly spicy or salty. The rice was also fluffy and aromatic. They are generous with the portions, which is greatly appreciated. Cups, water, fountain drinks, napkins, plastic silverware are within reach. Restrooms in the back are clean. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
A lovely place to get a good portion of great food! According to the Tasty Kabob website, They "...hit the road back in the fall of 2010 when founder's John & Steve Hanifi envisioned bringing their favorite meals from their home country of Afghanistan to the people of Washington, DC. Since then, the father and son team has expanded to a fleet of 5 Clean Green Tasty Machines." This particular location is 1 store away from the corner of Boro Place and Westpark Drive. There is street parking or a parking lot to the west with lots of parking. The inside is set up like most restaurants where you enter in a line at one side of a counter. You choose your base, meat, sides, drinks, and desserts as you move down the line. The staff was very helpful and friendly for a newbie like me. They filled up the container. I had enough for 3 meals. There is a mix of tables spread around the eating area that is to the left as you enter. The dining area and store were clean from tables to floor. The price was reasonable at about $15 for the food and $4 for drinks. The food was excellent. I got a gyro and it had a very good taste to it. This is a good choice for a meal in the area and I liked it so much I plan to visit again and look for their other locations.

Yelp
If you love fast casual halal, @tastykabob has amazing lamb gyros! The baklava was very delicious and it is a cute spot to grab lunch! 1624 Boro Pl, Tysons, VA 22102

Jennie A.

Yelp
Love the option to get a mixed chicken and lamb bowl on a bed of salad. You can also add other toppings as well, such as feta, cucumber, tomato, and red onion which elevates Tasty Kabob from other fast casual kabob joints. Also, I liked how the lamb is cut into thick chunks and then seared to have a crunch. Service is fast and there's lots of seating options outside to enjoy your meal.

Deanna C.

Yelp
This review is given by my hubs, who have become this family's expert on Mediterranean food. He purchased the lamb and rice platter with potatoes and spinach as sides. He said that the lamb didn't taste gamey like the lamb that he has at most places. He said this restaurant's lamb tastes more like the lamb used in gyros. He also stated that the food was seasoned perfectly, and of meat given was a nice portion size.

Nancy M.

Yelp
Props to the guy who was working all by himself when it was busy time Finally got a chance to check this spot out and it's pretty good! They give you generous portion sizes and the meat is delicious. They have different sides to choose from and different sauces to top off. I went with the chick peas and spinach - both were good. I think overall the sides are a little bland. They could have a little more flavor to them. The meat definitely makes it worth it. Will probably come back! Perfect quick meal before the movies!

Jeremy N.

Yelp
My food was tasty - I went with the gyro and chicken combo. Gyro meat was a bit fatty and grainy for my offer preference but delicious flavor. Chicken was pretty much perfect. I enjoyed the chick peas side and the bread with the spicy green sauce, the white sauce and the tzatziki sauce. All of the sauces were nice, but that green was fresher than some of my other favorite kabob places. Service depended on who I was talking to. The owner was cooking and serving and running the register. And he was personable, helpful and genuinely likable. The other guy seemed inexperienced and couldn't answer any questions, but he was at least capable of scooping food. Inside was typical fast casual atmosphere. Hard surfaces and industrial lighting. Not my favorite look, but it's appropriate for a kabob place open until midnight.

Peter G.

Yelp
Food is a solid 10/10 but they literally doubled the cost of thier meals. This was $9 and is now $17 with less meat. It's pretty disappointing.

Winny R.

Yelp
Edible but the name Tasty should probably imply flavor? We got two combo orders with chicken and gyro meat with spinach and chick peas and everything just lacked flavor. Pretty disappointing after spending $35 on lunch for two. If you want real kabobs go to Ravi kabobs or Reston kabobs where you'll find flavor.

Lauren C.

Yelp
I was starving and didn't want Italian, Dim sum, Korean, Mexican, Ethiopian, Uyghur, etc. the list goes on! I had no clue what to get but then I drove by Whole Foods at the Boro, and landed my eyes on this little spot. The Chicken & Lamb was worth its bang for its buck. The texture of the lamb, I'm obsessed with it. The seasoning of course as well, but when the texture is just perfect, it makes everything taste a little bit better. The chicken portion was a lot, maybe it's just me or I'm small but it was a lot! Maybe they heard my stomach growling for more teehee. Everything was perfect, I love the simplicity of it all. The chickpeas, holy smokes, the chickpeas had a lil kick to it, but I love the spicy. Please come support your local spots :) this place was 5/5!!!!!

Morgan B.

Yelp
Great quick kabob place! We both got the gyro/ chicken combo with two sides. The flavor was great and I like that you can customize your order with various sauces. My only critique is that the food was not too warm since it was already made and sitting in their serving containers.

Rachel C.

Yelp
The meat is so tender! Especially the chicken. They have good flavor for their kabobs and the rice was nicely seasoned as well. I liked their dill sauce, and the sides were a good portion. Delicious!

Bryan L.

Yelp
Ordered a combo over rice and salad with potatoes, double meat and a side salad for pick up. They waited for me to get there before making the order but it didn't take too long so that's fine. What wasn't fine was the food I got. The double meat didn't look like a lot. For $20 I kind of expected a more substantial portion. I can't imagine a normal portion having any less? So I got it over rice and salad and ordered a salad as one of the sides. So they put some lettuce into the entree section of the to go container and then like 5 shreds of lettuce into the section of the container for a side. That's not a salad. I thought there would be lettuce and tomatoes or something. I saw that they had some but they didn't really offer or ask. I was in a hurry anyways, why I ordered pick up. So I don't recommend paying for double meat, picking 'salad' as a side or eating here, really.

Eunice A.

Yelp
I've had a fair share of great halal foods around the DMV area, however, my experience here was underwhelming. Got the lamb and chicken combo over rice with chickpeas and spinach. Portions were extremely small, especially the meat. Almost 1/2 of the amount I am seeing the pictures on this yelp page. Same with the sides. Taste wise... The meats were quite dry. The sides were ok.

Mitch S.

Yelp
Make sure to get the chicken lamb rice combo! Perfect level of heat, a huge portion of protein when you get chicken and lamb. Pair it with a side salad and some freshly toasted pita and you're set. The sauce can range from mild to hot but definitely go with the hot it's not extremely spicy.

Kellyann M.

Yelp
We received very bad customer service last Saturday. I walked up to the counter and the woman server just looked at me. There was no welcoming.Strike 1 It was our first time so I asked questions and the server would not answer me but point to the sign above. Ok, we don't know what a box vs plate might be so can you please explain?.Strike 2 I almost left but due to reviews I wanted to try the food. The portion size itself was tiny and not worth the price. The food itself was ok.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Placed a delivery order for a chicken over rice and salad, and the order didn't include chicken. Called the restaurant to address this and asked if I could receive an extra side of chicken via delivery. The first person I spoke with said they'll provide it. Called again 30 minutes later because nothing was delivered, and the second person I spoke with said they can't provide chicken and that I'd have to address this with the delivery service. Not sure how you miss CHICKEN for a CHICKEN over rice and salad order. It's the equivalent of providing buns with lettuce without any beef patties for a burger order, empty tortilla shells for a steak/chicken taco order, etc. I also wasted 40ish minutes of my time having to address this with the delivery service. This, of course, isn't the restaurants fault. But what is particularly frustrating is that the delivery service called the restaurant to ask the cost of the missing item (so I could be refunded appropriately), and the restaurant informed the restaurant that the cost of the missing chicken is $10 (the cost of chicken over rice and salad is $16.99 FYI). It would've been nice for the restaurant to simply say/provide the whole cost of the chicken over rice and salad order. Instead, they provided the exact value of the chicken within the chicken over rice and salad order, which is pretty laughable.

David L.

Yelp
I was in the area and stumbled across Tasty Kabob and I'm glad I did. Service was great in giving me different options based on my preferences when I asked for recommendations. I got the platter with lamb and chicken with salad, chickpeas & spinach for the sides. He put the salad in a separate container to keep it from getting warm and mushy from the heat of the rest of the food. I appreciate that. The food was true to the restaurant's name and very tasty. I will come back the next time I'm in the area.

Angela D.

Yelp
I got the chicken and lamb combination with chickpeas and potatoes & baklava From the chicken, to the potatoes, everything tasted so good & freshly made. You first pick a base, pick proteins & two sides! The chicken and lamb were so flavorful & packed with just the right amount of spices. The chickpeas and potatoes are so soft & just melt in your mouth. They have meatless options and they are very generous with their portions. I highly recommend you try their baklava, it was so crispy and the best one I've ever tried! Also, I love the aesthetic of this place! they're open late as well if you're looking for a late night dinner! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

Maria M.

Yelp
This is a solid place! Definitely one of the best halal places in the DMV. The aesthetics is clean and modern. You go to the counter and pick a base, your proteins and sides, then top it off with some good sauce and you're set! I came after the lunch rush so there was no wait at all. So if you don't like to wait in line, go around 12:30pm or around there. Ok the food! We got the lamb and the chicken on rice with the yogurt sauce. Delish!! The lamb isn't gamey - not unlike a gyro lamb but diced instead sliced. The chicken was well seasoned and tasty. For the sides, get the okra! So delicious! We also tried the same meat combo over pita and rice and it was delicious! The pita is warm, soft, and buttery! We also tried new menu item - afghani skewer chicken kabob (only available via online order)! Delicious - nicely seasoned and the chicken is tender and not dry at all! I definitely recommend this place! It's delicious! Let me know what you think!

Abdallah A.

Yelp
Great food and great people I will be coming back. We drove from KY to check this place out

Namu O.

Yelp
Great place. Food was good. Awesome customer service. Will be coming back.

Lauren L.

Yelp
Decided to try this on a whim and ordered the lamb/chicken combo w/chick peas and spinach. The chick peas were decent, the spinach was the best tasting thing on my plate. The rice it is served with was too over cooked, the lamb and chicken was quite dry and flavorless. The white sauce was not that good, the green sauce was meh...odd considering I love both of those sauces at just about any kabob place. I will say that spinach was awesome, not sure I'd go back for just that though.

Andrew H.

Yelp
I wanted to do Meatless Monday (MM) because I had not in awhile, and today was a big fail. I had a spinach tomato egg on bagguette for bfast, and for lunch I had a Taim falafel bowl. Taim came to my office by the way of fooda, and app where you pre-order meals, which for most office buildings, do not have cafeterias b/c there aren't many folks going to work. I did not pre-order, but it was obvious they had didn't have many b/c the pre-order table had 0 packages. Luckily for me, they brought catering-style food and you could order right there. I resisted against the chicken schwarma and got the falafel bowl instead, and got ripped off. They gave super small portions, maybe 1/3 the size of what you would get from Cava or Mezeh, and while they advertised mixed greens, I didn't even get any mixed greens, it was rice, some tomatoes, red cabbage, and falafel. By the end of the work day, I got home and was growling with hunger. I wanted to stay meatless but then I saw a Tasty Kabob ad on my FB page (yes it seems to be working TK). I got so hungry I just drove to Tysons, and I usually portion and share with my wife for one portion, but I was too hungry and ate the entire thing. They definitely give good-sized portions, but it was so good that I demolished it. I had eaten Tasty Kabob back when they were just carts in Arlington, so it had been awhile, but it's definitely the same good kabob that I remember. I think Tasty Kabob is even better than DCG, a recent kabob entry in the Tysons area. TK's texture of the rice and meat was better, and I also liked their sides more. I get half rice and half salad to limit carbs. The Okra and chickpeas were really good. The service was also great as well. I wish a kabob joint like Tasty Kabob or DCG would come to Annandale, for now I have to drive up to Tysons for decent Kabob (Halal Guys doesn't cut it for me anymore).

Tracy W.

Yelp
The food was very yummy and the place very clean....the employees were helpful to explain the menu to me since it was my first visit

Ranna G.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner here. Their manager Nat was super friendly and knowledgeable about the cuisine. The lamb was juicy and in large chunks compared to other places. The chicken was marinated and cooked with just the right amount of spices and char. Loved the mushroom protein and also the spinach. The sauces were amazing. My favorites were the yogurt one and also the red chili one... perfect amount of heat We will definitely come back when we're in the area! PS: The whole shopping center is modern-looking and fun to stroll around. Also highly recommend trying Jeni's Ice Creams walking distance from Tasty Kabob!

Vin P.

Yelp
Yoooo!!! I was mad surprised after eating at this place! We were looking for a quick bite to eat before watching a movie, and we saw this place on the directory. We were curious and came in. The employee was very welcoming and helpful since it was our first time there. He let us sample a piece of the chicken and lamb... yo we were SOLD! Both meats were seasoned just right (not overly seasoned at all) and very tender. I got a chicken and lamb platter with rice, salad, spinach, and okra. It was REALLY good! The white sauce and hot sauce were surprisingly really good; they were not overpowering at all and definitely complimented the platter. There was actually a pretty good amount of food packed into the container. Will DEFINITELY be coming back again if I'm ever around the Boro again

Kimi S.

Yelp
I have a pretty hefty "Yelp Elite" appetite but Tasty Kabob's monstrous portions did me in! This was my first time visiting but I was absolutely wowed by the tender chunks of lamb and flavorful chicken in the "chicken and lamb" rice platter. I paired this with a side of chickpeas and stewed okra and was so happy to have a quick, filling, and great tasting meal. At first I balked at the $15 price point but when I received the final product I realized that they don't skimp out on ingredients. You are getting at least two servings in a container, maybe even three or four if you've got a smaller appetite. I love seeing how this family-owned business was able to grow from a small food truck to a brick-and-mortar in the fancy Boro area. Believe their name, they truly are a tasty kabob!

Safae S.

Yelp
This place is great. Their lamb over salad has become a staple for me. The lamb is always cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor, pairing exceptionally well with the freshness of the salad. The side of chickpeas is a hearty and delicious addition that I can't seem to get enough of. What really ties it all together for me is their yogurt dill sauce - it's creamy, tangy, and the perfect complement to both the lamb and the chickpeas. It's a combination I find myself coming back to time and time again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying meal that never disappoints

Crystal M.

Yelp
Not a fan the food was so plain and the rice was dry. I wouldn't go back. Chickpeas weren't even good.

Theresa H.

Yelp
I chose the lamb, rice n spinach. WOW!. Customer Service excellent! The lamb was tender. I'm on chemo n have a problem with my jaw n chewing n not only did this lamb tasted great, it was easy to chew!! The rice was excellent! Probably get a second serving next time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Emily C.

Yelp
Came by for a quick lunch and it was tasty, fast, and very reasonably priced. I got the chicken with 1/2 salad 1/2 rice, chickpeas, spinach, and dill sauce on top. The chicken, rice, salad, and sauce combo was delicious, and for only a little over $13, I was full for hours! All of the other protein and side options also looked great -- it was a tough choice. I will be back next time I am in the area!

A H.

Yelp
I hate to write this review because I really loved Tasty Kabob. I've been a customer since they had a food truck in Ballston. However, tonight, I witnessed the most disgusting thing ever. As we were waiting for fresh chicken, the employee grabbed his phone and went to the back for about ~five minutes. Cool, as he comes back he has his phone in one hand talking and pulling a trash can in the other. He put the trash can away behind a door. He put his cellphone down and greeted the two customers waiting on him. As he asked for their order, I just knew he would wash his hands. HE NEVER WASHED HIS HANDS! Instead, he grabbed the gloves and started making their plates. We noticed and left. You touched your phone and a trash can then food?!! That is so unsanitary. Unfortunately, I will no longer patronize this business. And if the owner sees this review, please look at your cameras around 6:30pm and you will see the nastiness!

Issa N.

Yelp
5 I've followed Tasty Kabob since their food truck days in Roslyn. I was very happy to see them grow and establish themselves in the Boro. Customer service is always their prime focus. The new location is clean, modern, and they still provide an awesome experience. I really enjoy the chicken platter. It taste like it's been cooked over a charcoal grill (get that grill taste). Portions are generous! And it's priced well compared to their neighbors in the Boro. Today I went with chicken and Gyro! Also, they made it very convenient for delivery options leveraging Uber eats.

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Good portion sizes and definitely didn't skimp on the meat. Service was good and clean safe. Worth a try! We will be back.

Minh P.

Yelp
Tasty food (as advertised!), sizable portions, and reasonable prices! Good spot for a quick bite in the Tyson's Boro area. The menu is pretty straightforward/limited. I got a tray with the mixed lamb and chicken + rice, with a side of chickpeas and spinach. You get exactly what you pay for: food isn't mind blowing necessarily but it's very tasty and will surely fill you up. Will keep this spot in mind next time I'm in the area.

Creighton F.

Yelp
I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my lunch but it was very delicious. I had the chicken and lamb with the potatoes on side and it was great. Usually at times the meat can dry at some places but the food here was nice and fresh. I will be sure to check them out the next time I am in the area.

Yelp
Lots of 5 star reviews. The chicken is great. From the taste and texture, Looks like they use thigh meat which is much better suited for meat being cooked on a big flat top and sit around and not try out. When I saw the chicken, has a red spice color to it. It love spicy got this for someone else that does not. But its not spicy and its very good. Rice is acceptable. Its a brown basmati rice with not much flavor, a little nutty from it being brown rice. Its good. I liked it better that i thought I would, but Its overcooked bit sitting around for a while, which is why its overcooked, What a shame. You can be fast casual and not cook too much food at once just to have it sit around. Thats L A Z Y . Not to mention, cook that much food, and not many customers, what a waste of food. At this point for the chicken. I would leave a 3 and say its 3.5 If you are a lamb lover like I am. Let me just say I wish I would have read other reviews first. Yes ladies and gentleman we have gyro meet that really does not taste ANYTHING like lamb... I have had GYRO meat from other places that are heads feet and tails over the lamb, errr excuse me, the gyro meat here, Its like going into a store to grab a chocolate bar. You buy it, walk out, anxious to take a bite and you do and you groan. It does not taste like chocolate and you look at the fine print on the package and it says its a "Chocolatey" flavored bar.. With no Cocoa butter, only various oils to take the place of cocoa butter, other things may allow you to me a candy bar but nothing is gong to replace the taste and texture of cocoa butter. I am so angry. If your gong to sell lamb gyro meet, SAY WHAT IT IS. Also, not trying to nit pick but to me, this is not kebab. Kebab is cooked over flames, if you want a REAL kebab or at least broiled to a chary crust not flat top cooked. If you want Lamb... Yummy Kebab in Annandale is AMAZING. I wanted a lamb kebab really bad tonight and siting here kicking myself wishing I ordered from Yummy Kebab. Plus most "Kebab places" sell Naan bread. They only sell a small pita, for $2 if you want extra. The pita bread had been heated to a nice fluffy texture so its better than standard pita bread. But I knew I was getting Pita bread, I got what I ordered and it was good. The potatoes are ok. You stab a fork in it, and it gives you some resistance and does not fall apart and not overcooked. But again, the texture, Cooked earlier in the day, been on a heat tray all day, which is okay not bad, but different texture. The taste... I think thats what makes the texture more apparent than it should be. The sauce, it's bland... It has a great texture, I love the texture of sauce, but the sauce flavor to me falls flat. Now.. Halal Guys. they named their business honestly. "Gyro and chicken" They use beef Gyro meat and a few months ago they had lamb, and I think that maybe was gyro meat as well, cant remember because I LOVED IT. I loved it because it had a great lamb flavor and I was getting it from a GYRO PLACE. Not a LAMB KEBAB Place. They should change the name to Tasty Gyro and Chicken. Been such a long times since I have been this disappointed with food. Now with all that said. I will admit I have never had Tasty Kebab before, I have seen the food trucks and always wanted to try it. Someone told me about Tasty Kebab opening in the Boro. With that said. If I ordered this from a food truck, the chicken is exactly what I would expect. The people I ordered chicken for, they thought it was okay, one was not too crazy about the spice, a little spicy for them. Did not taste spicy for me. Like I said. I liked the chicken. But come on. DO NOT have on your menu that you have LAMB, when you really have LAMB GRYO Meat.

Yelp
So glad this place is open late! My husband and I were in town to visit DC, and after a night of bike riding, this was the perfect meal! Delicious and plenty of food. The employee working was super friendly and helpful too!
