It has been a bit since my visit, however I can’t believe I never wrote a review!! This place was delicious, I tried the pork momo, as expected by their name it was soft, tasty and comforting. My mother was very impressed with the Mango Lassi as well, it was vibrant and tasted like fresh mango. The food was delivered in about 10-15 min, which was expected for fresh food, it was absolutely worth it. They had water in a container as well for anyone at no charge which I believe was extremely thoughtful in this day and age. The staff were friendly, made sure we were served efficiently and another great part was that they had sinks for customers to wash their hands. I’ve never seen that in the dining area before and was surprisingly pleased. I will absolutely be going back.

It is a very cute place. They have Halal Chicken, Goat, and Beef options as well as vegetarian options. The staff was kind and very reliable. The store was clean, the atmosphere wonderful. The bathroom was also very clean. All around definitely recommend, especially for Dumplings.

My 1 week in Boston was worth it having the best comfort meal. I loved it so much. Very nice staff, momo was really great. Cute, small and cozy . I will be back next time I come to Boston. Thank you for very greattt food.

I'm officially addicted to Tasty MoMo. Their steamed pork momo (aka dumplings) and aloo dum are my favorites to order. Their chips chili are also delicious but beware because it is the spiciest dish in all of Boston. They have a casual seating set up inside and are also great for takeout. Their sauces play a big role in why their dumplings are so popular too. They're also great about nut allergies and keeping ingredients separate. I can't wait to come back!

I just realized with absolute horror that I never wrote a Google review for my most favorite momo restaurant in the US. Tasty Momo has been on my must-visit list for Boston ever since so many people recommended it to me on social media. I had the joy of meeting the lovely owner, Sophie, and I have to say I am incredibly proud of her. She opened this beautiful restaurant on her own and has kept it going for years, consistently serving incredible food. It is woman owned and filled with heart. So much admiration for her courage, warmth, and dedication. We tried almost everything on the menu. The pani poori was absolutely delicious. The chicken momo was outstanding. The pork momo was the juiciest I have ever had. I could not stop eating them. My two little girls were equally obsessed. Momo has always been one of my favorite foods and the momo here is, without a doubt, the very best I have had. Sophie also made two types of chowmein for us. A regular chicken chowmein for the adults, and a special version for my little girls with just chicken, as they prefer no vegetables. That thoughtful gesture meant so much. My daughters still talk about Sophie and her amazing noodles. The chowmein had that perfect wok hey I always look for — that magical flavor you only get from a well-seasoned wok and expert hands. It was divine. Then I had the traditional Nepali Thakali set with goat. It comes with dal bhat and a beautiful variety of sides. My soul was completely satisfied. Every bite felt like a warm hug. The goat was perfectly tender and flavorful, the saag was fresh, the mula ko achar was tangy and crunchy, and the Thakali dal was the highlight for me. I do not think I have had a more comforting and delicious dal anywhere else. Now I truly understand why it is so beloved. Tasty Momo already won me over with the food, but Sophie’s kind hospitality made our visit unforgettable. She welcomed my family with such care, and made my daughters feel seen and special. That kind of warmth stays with you. I recommend Tasty Momo with all my heart. This place is a true gem, and Sophie’s passion shines through in every dish. If you are ever in Boston, do not miss it.

Stopped in this afternoon for a quick bite and was honestly impressed. It's a small and unassuming shop. I got the pork dumplings in chili sauce along with the vegetable chow mein. The dumplings are perfectly made and the chili sauce was so addictive that I’m already craving as I'm writing this review. If you love spicy food, this dish is a must. Chowmein was phenominal. I’m definitely looking forward to my next visit.

The food was great! Little high on the price but it is Somerville. Very nice small restaurant with the owner and an older woman hand making the dumplings and momo in the back. My only issue was the girl packaging the food was quite literally throwing my food into the bags along with the small containers of sauce which two of them exploded in the bag from the throw. As I gave her a funny look she gave me a fake smile then went back to throwing the food in the bag. If you are going to work with the public atleast don't throw the food in the bag while the customer is standing there.

I’ve tried 4 different Nepalese restaurants for Johl Momos in MA and these by far are the best!

Delicious. Food was excellent. We had the Thukpa, the yellow lentil soup, and chicken momo. Service was friendly. We hope they transition to reusable serving ware and take out containers soon because we would love to come back!

Found this spot which is Nepalese food establishment that looks to stay authentic! The dining area was super clean, well organized with utensils napkins etc all on the counter. They do have TVs but i think it's for promotions and music videos. Now on a fiery hot day i can tell you their AC wall unit is an ice box. The temps dropped with the rain today so it was freezing for us to dine in (I'm sure they would have adjusted the temp) but we didn't want to make them go out of their way. The owner and staff were super nice. It looked like the food was cooked to order and hand made. So be a bit patient, still it didn't take that long maybe 15min but felt longer cause we were cold. We got the Momo's of course and decided to try the pan fried version. I thought the pan fry could have lasted a tad longer to make the momo wrap a bit crispier to hold when eating haha but not a big deal. The pork filling tasted fresh, my preference would have been nice with a tad more seasoning in the pork mix. The sauces they give you, the dark red is a spicy sauce and the orange/yellow is a very TASTY sauce. I'm not certain what the sauce is but it went great with the momo! Take a bite, and get some that sauce inside for the next bite. Would order again in one of their other versions! We also got the chicken chili, pictures looked good. Now i was kind of expecting it to be similar to Thai Crispy chicken basil, but it was like a hybrid of that and general gau chicken. There was a nice hint of a spicy kick to it with the onions and peppers stirred in. The sauce was good overall. I believe they used all white meat chicken for that dish for those that prefer that. Myself, i like thigh meat for these type of dishes but again just a preference thing! Will be back when in the area! Thank you!

I have been itching to try momos and today, we decided to make the trip to Somerville to try! **There's plenty of meter parking outside on the street. The inside of Tasty Mo:Mo is super clean and they had the air conditioning blasting, which was great since it was an extremely hot week but it got unbearably cold while we were waiting for our food. We decided to try the Kothey (pan-fried) pork momo & chicken chili. Both dishes tasted fresh and it was a pleasant experience. This is more of a take out spot than a sit down dine in, I would say. The Kothey pork momo had good flavor and the dipping sauces they give, did not overpower the momos. The chicken chili reminded me of General Tso's chicken. It was yummy and had good flavor but not what I expected for the flavor profile. They used chicken breasts for this dish. It had a nice kick to it but not so spicy that it made my nose run haha. This was my first time trying Nepalese cuisine and I would come here again !

The pork fried momos were pretty flavorful and juicy. The thali was a bit expensive for what we received. Curry in the thali was really good, though. Service was friendly. I think Tasty Momo was good, but the competition is a little too strong in the area. There are actually a LOT of places to get momos around here. I still prefer Kantipur Cafe and Himalayan Kitchen.

Really love the portion size and the flavor here! Have picky eaters in the family but everyone loved the food. Vegetable Curry was delicious! So flavorful and so perfect with the rice. No complaints at all! Steamed Chicken Momos - really big and good. We got eight in the one order and they were all really large as well. Definitely very filling. Not a fan of the sauce on the side but the momos didn't really need them. Goat Curry - amazing! Mutton was very tender and so perfectly cooked! Meat pretty much fell off the bone. So good. Large amount of pieces too (and good ones. Not just bones) Chicken Curry - also very good! Lot lot lot of chicken, and lot of flavor. Not too expensive and worth the price!

I found this place on Yelp when I was staying at a relative's in Sommerville. This place was so good, we went back again for a second time during this 6 day visit!! The employees were friendly and welcoming, knowledgeable of their menu. We ordered: chili fries, steamed vegan Momo, Kothey Momo vegan, fried rice no egg Everything was delicious. I can't speak for "authenticity" since I'm not Himalayan but the momos here were honestly the best we've ever had in all our momo-eating days. The wrapper had just the right amount of bite to it and the filling was juicy and plump, stuffed full of veggies. The chili fries were only okay since they got a little soggy by the time we got home with our takeout but they were awesome when we dined in later that week. The Kothey Momo wasn't our favorite only because it took trying it for us to realize we want steamed momos to dip in the sauce ourselves. The fried rice was aromatic and full of flavor. We ordered no egg for me, the vegan, so know that that is an option if you are vegan and want fried noodles or fried rice. I'm definitely going to come here again when we return April 2024.

I was very excited to try Nepali food but I felt a little let down tbh. First of all, I thought I was getting a special shrimp momo but I ended up getting chicken curry so that was very strange.. The chips chili were missing the chilies and the chicken pan fried momo my boyfriend got was ok. My mango lassi was in a takeout container which was odd, I was surprised and a little confused in how to drink it. Regardless, it was good, thick mango yogurt. The gulub jamun was a lil underwhelming also, tasted like dunkin' munchkins in a syrup :x Overall, it seems like a nice place, but our experience was a little underwhelming.

Food (1.5/2): After the 2nd time ordering from this place, I can say that their momos are great! Though the wrapping is a bit thick/doughy for my taste, the fillings were juicy and well-seasoned. Jhol momo sauce had a nice hint of spicy without being overwhelming and adds a layer of fresh, nutty flavor to each bite. On the other hand, the goat curry was quite a disappointment. The curry sauce was simple and decent. The meat was well-cooked. Nevertheless, our meat had a lot of bones--especially the smaller ones, which made eating it rather unpleasant. Service/wait-time/cleanliness (1.5/2): Last I went the service was great and cleanliness is well maintained. However, the wait-time was rather long when it was only my party that had orders (and not that many either. Price (0.5/1): Price is a mix. For the momos, they're basically a great deal--especially when compared to other restaurants that serve similar cuisines. However, for their other dishes, I think it is not well-priced, especially given the contents of the dish.

First off - I drove a LONG time to finally try this place! Himalayan/Nepalese Momos are similar to Chinese dumplings - but better! I don't know what's different but the fillings were amazing and the accompanying sauces were to die for! I had chicken. You can get them fried or just steamed. There's a few different types. I tried the spicy chili sauce . My friend tried the the Jhol momo with a sesame/tomato sauce - divine! The staff were pleasant and service was quick. We went at an "off" time so there wasn't a long wait for service. It's not a fancy place - very basic decor but we were going for the food - not the interior design! 10/10 would recommend!

It was our last day in Boston and I am a huge momo (dumpling) fan and it made absolute sense to stop by this place! This is a small traditional nepalese family run momo restaurant. There is reasonable seating inside. We placed an order to go since we were getting late for our flight back to Seattle. We ordered their chilli chicken momos, pork jhol momos, chicken chowmein noodles and EVERYTHING was delicious inspite of having tasted it 8 hours after being freshly made in their kitchen. The flavors had depth and were authentic. Their spice levels are awesome too so folks be aware. The service was great and several folks (especially students) line up for togo orders here. If you pay cash you get a discount (this was way back in Oct 2022 though) All in all this will be a place I highly recommend for dumpling lovers in Boston and I will frequent it whenever I am here.

Overall mixed feelings on the food. Loved the pani puri, hard to find decent pani around here. The momos seemed a bit bland, but they've never been my favorite, and the sauce they came with was quite good. We also tried the indo chinese chicken and noodles, which were fine, but also slightly on the bland side. Note that this isn't the place for a nice sit-down dinner--it's primarily takeout (with high volume!), has limited seating, and the service is accordingly slightly brusque. This is clearly a neighborhood go-to for a quick takeout night, but go elsewhere for a date.

Yummy dumplings momo in Somerville. Pan fried and steamed momo are v good, better than deep fried. Pork is more flavorful than beef. Nice juicy fillings with good amount of meat. Casual eatery with 6 tablespoons, a popular for take out.

We've been eating here regularly since early days in 2015, more times now than I can count. It's my favourite of the many Nepali joints in Somerville. Sophie's team do not disappoint! You can feel the love and heart in these homemade momos. The owner is warm and kind. Try the pork kothey or enjoy the chicken thukpa on a rainy day. Steamed chicken momos are our 2nd top choice. They also have non dumpling dishes like the traditional newari thali, desserts, samosas etc. Although most of their business is takeout, they recently got a beer and wine license after expanding to a larger spot across the street from the first location, very casual dine in ambience. Hop on the green line and GO! walking distance from the Magoun stop. Enjoy and spread the word! Ps. The red chilli sauce is variably spicy each batch. Sometimes it's fire

My first time having Nepalese dumplings and everything was delicious!! The service was great and the food was flavorful. The sauces on the side were also tasty and I was able to try them with the different dishes. I dined in, but I'd definitely get takeout in the future. You can eat in the restaurant, but it is on the small side. I got lucky and was able to get a table. Can't wait to get food from here again.

Really really good food, service is totally fine and the interior is not anything to rave about but such a good hole in the wall spot for momos

I thought this place was fine. It had so much promise, but it did not deliver. It was an alright place... Maybe I'd give it 1 more try in the future, but as of right now, not my favorite. The food was alright. I got the Chili Momo and Samosa... Chili momo was a 3/5 and the samosa was a 2/5.... I don't like the chili sauce, very flavorless and the dumpling itself was underwhelming. I think the worst was the samosa. I didn't know what to expect because I've never had a samosa before but its just chunks of potatoes in a baked hard dough. Oh well! Service was awkward too. I came and the cashier told me to get a menu myself... so I had to walk up to the cashier to get a menu, and I ordered in front. Then i finished eating and i went up back to the cashier to pay... awkward dining experience. Ambiance was weird too because I was the only one eating in at the restaurant during noon. Small, dark spot... Not sure how to feel but maybe I'll give it another try and eat something else

OK. This was too expensive for the flavor. The portions were small for the Mo:Mo's. The Chatpatey was extremely spicy. I could not eat more than what I first tried. There should be a warning of how much spice that has because I feel I threw away my money on that dish. I had to toss that dish because I don't even have anyone nearby who could eat it without pain.

I would have to disagree with a lot of reviews here unless I got them in a bad day. I cheated on my "regular momo" place and gave this place a try and I am very disappointed. "Jhol momo" literally means "soup momo". I got 2 spoon of soup to go with my momo lol.....and also I asked for extra sauce. I was literally laughing as if it was a joke (picture attached). Also my dumplings barely had anything inside and it was just a ball of dough to go with 2 spoon of sauce. I ordered from my regular place and I've also attached the sauce they provided for my "jhol momo". You guys can be the judge. I haven't tried anything else but so far my experience wasn't great.

We ordered take out for Valentine's Day :) All the momos were yummy! I suggest eating the momos at this eatery when possible. Since we ordered take out, the fried momos were slightly harder - not giving that steamed softness. My favorite momo type is the jhol momos. This dish comes with a yellow jhol sauce, which you dump on your momos to soak in before eating. I have had better chilli chicken but this version was pretty good!

Worth mentioning that we ordered and didn't go in person Delivery was fast and handled with care (the food was still warm upon arrival and we'll packed). The momos are delicious and worth ordering - we particularly like the johl momos and the kothey momos as well as the pani puri - the sauces they come with are fine but not astonishing. The veggie curry was good too. Overall great first impression - we will order again!

Hands down the juiciest dumplings ever. Take a bite and meat juice is spraying and dripping down your chin onto the table. The dumpling skin is so smooth and the meat (I get chicken) is super flavorful. I cant handle spice but Momos are worth it. Both the tomato based sauce and curry based sauce are packed of flavorful spices. My favorites the pan fried and curry momos. The curry momos have a spicy tomato taste and I am heart eyes over it. I dont get the point of the deep fried momo, cus it makes the skin too tough? But to each their own All in all, its no frills but TastyMoMo still has a decent variety!

I'll take mo' momos, please! We called in our order, and they took my credit card over the phone, so when it was ready about 25 minutes later, all I needed to do was pick up the bag with my name on it just inside the door. Love an easy takeout process in the time of COVID! These made-to-order momos are so satisifying. The chili momos with beef are HOT, and the filling is nicely spiced. Our pork momos were absolutely delish and came with 2 sauces on the side, a very spicy dark red sauce and a milder orange sauce. The orange one was especially a hit - we put this on EVERYTHING from the momos to the chowmein. Oh and the chowmein was also a great balance of flavors: nice, long noodles, veggies, and strips of beef. Overall a solid spot in Somerville to fill that dumpling-sized hole in your heart.

Exceptional dumplings. Selfishly, I wish they served more gulab jamun instead of just 2 but that just shows how much I love this dessert. Definitely coming back.

3/17/20 I came here for lunch and ordered the pork and chicken soup dumplings. I tried the chili dumplings and I gotta admit, I'm glad I got the pork soup. The spice on the chili tossed dumplings had a lingering type of spice and my tongue was on fire after the first bite. But regardless, the food was phenomenal. It was all made to order and the staff was friendly. The restaurant and bathroom was clean. Service was great. Food was fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend coming here especially if you like soup dumplings.

I finally got to try tasty momo & it exceeded expectations! We got the pan fried pork, steamed chicken & chicken curry. Everything was so flavorful & juicy. The dumplings give a hearty portion of meat too. Seems to be largely take out but we ate in & it was very comfortable and clean. I will definitely be coming back & recommend everyone check this place out!

This little restaurant was the perfect introduction to momos. We tried the samosas, deep fried momos, and chili momos; all of which were vegan! The samosas were crisp, spiced,and came with a tasty sweet sauce. The deep fried momos were really crispy and the filling was delicious! The chili momos were my favorite, soft and chewy with the same delicious filling and spicy sauce. As for service, it seems designed more for taking out than dining in. You order and pay at the front counter, have to get your own water, and are not waited on. That being said, I would still recommend this place for the tasty food.

the dumplings are pretty good , there all I really get here for a snack. Also the servers are so thoughtful they always double check too see if your doing okay & If you need anything.

Will become a go-to takeout option! Love all the momos I've tried, the steamed and pan-seared are great. Also highly recommend the chicken chili and the goat curry. Fried rice isn't revolutionary but pretty tasty. Their sauces are 10/10! Would order extra for the momos next time.

Absolutely phenomenal. I got the steamed chicken momos and they were so delicious!! The filling was yummy and the wrappers were so delightfully thin... almost felt like the consistency of noodles when chewing. It was magical. They were also so friendly :) will be back!!!

Delicious vegetarian and chicken mo mo's and chicken thukpa soup. Nice people. They'll give you any combination of steamed mo mo's in the same order. Prices in the store are much lower than those online/via delivery services.

Recently moved from smaller digs across the street, Tasty Mo:Mo has doubled its seating capacity (18 at tables, 6 at stools) and expanded its menu with more frequent and numerous specials. The core of the menu, obviously, is the momo, a Tibetan-style dumpling that can be had steamed ("momo"), pan-fried ("kothey"), deep-fried (new), or doused in chilli sauce ("chili"), sand filled with pork, chicken, beef or vegetable. They all come eight to an order; the non-chilli versions come with two thick/smooth dipping sauces: tomato and chilli. Quality is sky high, as they're made to order and this is what they do. It's best to order different fillings and different styles, then compare and contrast. But be sure to try some--especially the pork--without dipping. They're not just vessels for the dipping sauces; these momos pack enough fragrant flavor and juice gush to fly solo. Go ahead and use the sauce too, but appreciate that it's more of an elevating agent than a crutch. There's a fried chicken dish that's not particularly crispy, but I don't think it's really trying to be. It's coated with that thick, tomatoey, spicy sauce and augmented with vegetables. Think of it more as a stew and it'll hit the spot. A chilli potatoes special was a hit: basically a Himalayan/vegetarian version of poutine, with hot crisp fries, chilli sauce, and sauteed veggies. The momos reheat well, but if you're intentionally getting extra to take home, the non-fried ones work best. I'd like to see a little more menu expansion before giving a 5, but Tasty Mo:Mo is a very solid 4 and extremely consistent in high quality from visit to visit. If you're considering a visit by car and fear the nearby Ball Square construction, here's some good news: whatever time you lose there will be made up by the more plentiful parking near Tasy Mo:Mo lately.

Came here after a softball game and for the uninitiated a momo is essentially another version of a dumpling. The restaurant is focused on Nepalese food. The chili chicken was definitely my favorite dish - had a decent spicy kick to it. Momos were yummy but pretty standard. I like it when the outside wrap is more chewy - these were a little on the softer side. The chow mein was nothing special - pretty dry and tasteless - the beef in particular was dry/hard. Not a fancy place by any means but if you want to drop by for some quick momos, it's not bad.

I'm struggling to understand how this place is highly rated. We got take out here and the food was not satisfying. We were looking forward to momos all week and this place DID NOT hit the spot. They had poured sauce all over the momos which made them super soggy. It kinda sucks that things are mostly take-out during these times and by the time we got home with the food, the momos were soggy. Not only were they soggy, but they weren't even tasty. Then we moved on to the veg chowmein which has no salt and no flavor to it so we had to fix the noodles at home. Kinda defeated the purpose of take out. What an exhausting night!

Local restaurant with fresh tasting delicious momos. We always get the steamed pork momos, which are filling and packed with meat. The momo skins are thin and provides the right meat to skin ratio. I would not recommend the shrimp Momos (special). While on paper they sound delicious and look good, it's only one shrimp inside with some onions and other filling. A little disappointing since it looked like the momo would be packed than more than one shrimp, costs a bit more. Stick to the pork or chicken steamed momos and you won't regret it!

This was my first time trying momo and I was satisfied with the quality of their dishes! We ordered chili momo with pork and chicken chow mein. Chow mein had good flavor and momo was little spicier than I thought, but still tasty! The only thing I disliked about the place was that the restaurant is really small and they only have seating for ~10 people. Also, they only use disposable utensils/plates. I understand as it seems like a popular takeout place, but they could offer non-disposable plates at least to dine-in customers! We are planning to order regular momo and momo soup next time!

Just for space I am taking off half a star else 4.5. The name is apt as the momos are really tasty. So remind me of the hills and the region. The quality of rice in the fried rice was really good and everything felt fresh. The noodles was unique, really liked the taste. Looks like there would be a lot more orders coming.

We eat here all the time and it is awesome. We love the food here and will always be loyal to TMM. Try the jhol momos for sure. A take out must.

Tasty mono is ok in my opinion. Maybe I am not used to the flavor. I feel the flavor of sauce coming with momo is ok.

I'm a huge foodie. Momo is my fav appetizer so I come here mostly for it. Definitely try other food too. I love their Thali as well as chicken fried rice. Great food but not much variety.

A small, no-frills restaurant that specializes in Nepalese cuisine, and their food is sooo delicious! Came here on a Friday night and ordered 2 orders of half steamed/half pan-fried pork and beef momos, as well as one goat curry. Really wished they updated their menu because I almost didn't catch the sign behind the cashier for the additional menu items. Their momos were super juicy and the sauces that came with it were extremely flavorful, which was perfect during a cold, winter night. The goat curry had a TON of spices (not spicy) and it was so good and hearty, although a bit pricey at $13. Some of the best momos in the Boston area and the people here were friendly too. For the food that we got, I felt like we paid a good price for it and we will definitely be coming back to try more!

We were here around 4pm on a Saturday and this place had a lot of customers inside already. This is mostly a takeout place with two large tables and counter space along the wall. We ordered the momos of course since its in their name! We got steamed chicken and fried pork momos. Both were absolutely delicious! The pork was a lot more juicy and had more flavour since pork is saltier. Each order comes with 8 pieces and two dipping sauce; spicy and non-spicy. 8 pieces doesn't seem a lot for one person but the portions are big and the filling is hearty. Even though they're Asian (Nepalese), the dumplings don't taste anything like the Chinese, Japanese or Korean dumplings. I highly recommend this place if you like dumplings.

Huh, maybe we aren't used to momos, being much more familiar with Taiwanese/Chinese/Japanese/Korean dumplings. But the spicing of these momos left my family of 4 .... disappointed & confused. We tried multiple steamed, pan-fried, & jhoul momos - pork, chicken, aloo/potato, & veggie. None of the 4 tyles we tried were dinished peach order comes with 8, so no ome ate more than ine of any of them]. All the momos were steaming hot, as expected - but the spicing was very ... unpleasant for our table. I think others would be fine with this spicing, but we were really shocked with our universal dislike of all 4 types. The skins of the dumplings were good - thin and chewy, beautifully pleated - different shapes hint at the fillings. Steamed seemed the best, bc the pan fried oil was slightly oxidized and off-tasting. And the pani puri (puff-pastry balls filled with spiced mashed potato and tamarind juice and then fried) - was unexpectedly frosty cold, so no one finished their first bite. We didn't enjoy any of the dipping sauces or the jhol peanut one. I really think we were just not accustomed to the flavors here. The momos we ate, we preferred plain. The one dish we finished was the samosas, so if we were to return, that is the one item we'd re-order. If you like momos, in general, I bet you'll enjoy these. If you've not really had them before (we'd had them only once or twice before), then approach with caution. Consider ordering non-momo foods as back-up supplementation - oergaps their fried rice, or chowmein, Anyway, I hope you try this place yourself. Esp if you're a momo fan - I was just really shocked at our flavor-disappointment given the raving reviews here. Oh! Call them to order directly, as the prices are cheaper that way.

Outside the heart of Boston is this little hole in the wall, Tasty MoMo. You feel like you're walking into someone's kitchen the moment you step through the doors. There are only two tables inside. If you are able to snag a table and eat inside, you can watch the talented kitchen staff wrap the dumplings throughout your meal. After three days of eating too many lobster rolls and clam chowder on my visit to Boston, I was really craving something with a spicy kick. My friend and I over ordered. We got the chili MoMo, fried dumpling, chow mein, and spicy chicken. It's a very simple menu, but you can't go wrong with anything you order. That's unless you can't eat spicy food. I love spicy food and even I thought the spicy chicken was really spicy. This was enough food for four people....oops. Out of everything I tried, my favorite was the MoMo. I would only get a bunch of the steamed momos if I were to come back. They were a blend of Chinese dumplings that I'm more familiar with, with Indian spices that I love. Super delicious, fresh, and flavorful.

Just as the name suggests, the momos at this place taste great! The menu has a variety of momos with De-fry Momo being my personal favorite. However, don't get the thukpa as a take-out. When packed in the container, the heat from the soup can make the noodle soft/soggy. You won't enjoy it as much.

Tasty Momo is a hole in the wall Nepalese dumpling place. It's a 30 minute walk from Union Square if you dare to make the trek- uphills and down. It's namely a take out place. Although there were a small number of seats, it's not air conditioned which makes it rather unpleasant to sit indoors with the heat of the kitchen and summer coexisting together. They do have a large screen TV show casing various mainstream music videos. While we dined in, we watched a whole slew of Katy Perry MV's. All their dumplings are made to order with ample stuffing. No skimping there. There's a 15 minute wait for all orders. Rec: (+++) Chili momo: momos drenched in their sweet n' spicy sauce. It's sweat inducing especially when you eat the momo's hot. (+++) Pork momo 2 orders of dumplings is a plenty for 2 if you're treating this as an afternoon snack. Had left overs for the next day. $10 minimum for credit cards

Ordered for takeout last night, because of all the wonderful reviews ... and unfortunately I did not get that same experience. I ordered the Pork Momo (steamed) and the spicy chicken Momo - and it truly was delicious. The Spicy chicken sauce was a bit too hot for my palate, as the aftertaste from the sauce was leaving my mouth with a burning type sensation -- just too much fire, that feeling where I burned all my tastebuds away (drinking milk would make it better). I also got the samosa which was excellent! 100% i would order that again! But the biggest disappointment in this meal was the beef chowmein. The beef was literally BURNT & DRY. It was completely inedible, tasteless, and clearly way too overcooked. I really hope this is not how they prepare their beef chowmein ... me and my husband couldn't even eat it )= I'm hoping it was a new chef in the back ... but still unacceptable.

We are back to 4 stars! Delicious momos and masks are on. Glad to get this more often.
