"There’s no shortage of hot pot spots in Chinatown, but for those of us who don’t like to share, Tasty Point is an ideal restaurant choice. Individual hot pots are the name of the game at this highly-rated Taiwanese restaurant. Create your single serve hot pot from a variety of creative options that include Singaporean laksa, lamb and sour cabbage, pumpkin sea salt cream (made with sliced pork, fried tofu skin, sweet corn, pumpkin and narutomaki) or the Taiwanese Spicy (includes thinly sliced beef, quail egg, fried dumpling and pork intestines). Be sure to end your meal with an order of milk tea served in a glass bottle nestled inside a miniature ice bucket." - Nadia Gire

The place itself is super cute and buzzing with people! The atmosphere is calm and the waitstaff is super friendly and helpful when it comes to answering questions about the menu. I wasn’t super impressed by the noodle bowl I ordered however the drinks they had were 10/10. I do think that if I go back I will definitely try to aim for the hot pot instead!

We stopped here for a quick bite. Heard it was amazing so it was a must. It was a cool experience but for the $$$ and the amount of food you get, meh. We ordered 3 Tom yum soups. You get a huge pot with about 3 shrimp in each pot, May 3 pieces of cut fish, not even a whole slice. About 6 slices of frozen fish balls, less than an ounce of mushroom, a squid and maybe a couple of other items with a ton if Napa cabbage. For $17ish, there is no extras unless you pay for the addition. We also ordered tofu hot pot, it was disappointing. The tonkatsu Ramen was ok. Noodles were spot on. Each pot came with a black or green tea, iced or hot, sweet or unsweet. Let's see, sesame balls were mini and ok, tofu app was not as expected, not great either. Gratuity is added for parties and if you don't read your ticket, you could accidentally tip extra for ok service. There's tons of hot pot places that are in the area that are really great like the place a few doors down.

Staff was friendly, restaurant was nicely designed and cozy, but food was very bland. My wife and I ordered the ‘Taiwanese Hot Pot’ and it claimed to be 3 peppers spicy but when it came out, it lacked so much flavor. The spice was also nonexistent. Comparing the taste to Boiling Point and Red Flame, this dish was extremely disappointing. We didn’t end up trying the boba and are kind of glad we didn’t, if the food lack this much essence then I wouldn’t trust the drinks at all.

Came in a couple months ago. Food was decent and portion was good. Service was meh. One thing I don’t like about this place is that their water tastes like tap water. Here’s a list of things that I ordered: - Stinky tofu: it was surprisingly good. I recommend eating it with the cabbage that comes with it. - Chicken popcorn: nice and crunchy - Beef skewers: good, nicely seasoned - Army stew in medium spicy: it was just average, nothing outstanding

Google
I ordered lamb kebabs and that’s horrible, they don’t know how to cook lamb in the good way without the lamb smells. Also ordered the seafood hot pot, this one is way better than the first dish. You have mild, medium or spicy of your choice, and choice of side of noodles, white rice or pork stew over rice. They also offer free ice tea during the lunch time. Those two dishes costed me 30 bucks, it’s kind of overpriced for me too.

Google
They changed three times locations and finally I had a chance to come. To be honest, their old locations were not that good that why I didn't go. But this time I am glad I came. Taste is above chinatown's average level and for this price for this much food is great deal. Try the very very long frech fried.

Google
First time trying out this place after hearing so many good reviews about it! It’s a must try if you’re into hotpot style meals. Ordered the Korean army soup with some dumpling as appetizers! Soup broth is interchangeable if you’re not the type to eat spicy.

Google
Spicy Ramen! Food is good 4/5 However, if you’re really craving for Ramen…. I think other places will be better. I tried their hotpot last time and it was pretty decent!

Yelp
I have had my moments where I crave some soup and especially hotpot. But one issue is most places are family portions or all you can eat. But one place goes against it: Tasty Point. I was looking for an individual hotpot and I have been craving Budae Jjigae (Korean army base stew) I was accustomed to the previous location about 2-3 lights down from the current location. Portion of the individual hotpot is more than enough. Hot but has a nice spice to it. Very flavorful and there are other options as well plus ramen. Also the individual hot pot came with a side dish and I went with the Taiwanese minced rice. The servers are nice and knowledgeable of the menu. But also I appreciate their patience because we did wait for another person and were nice to wipe down another table so we can be more comfortable. Not too often I go to Tasty Point but I do enjoy the variety on the menu. Ramen is available and so are rice dishes. Appetizers are plenty as well. The skewers are huge and the fries are long, seriously. It has a bit of everything and the seating is much more than the previous location

Yelp
This rating is for the apps only - we did not do the hot pot. The appetizers were, eh? Half good & half not. The fried stinky tofu app was good. Fried baby octopus was also good. The 12 piece wings were 6 wingettes cut in half. Very misleading and lots of pointy bones if you're not careful can cut your mouth. The superfries are basically long pieces of fried mash potatoes... or it felt that way. It kept breaking if you tried to hold it from just one end. It's not worth 7.95. Chicken thigh and chicken gizzard skewer were both overcooked and tough. The small intestine was cooked perfectly. Overall, 3 out of 5 stars for the apps. Service was okay. It felt like they didn't want us in there since we just ordered apps, but that's just how we felt... not anything they said... They did have limited seating, and we took up 5 seats, but that was when they weren't busy yet. It did start to pick up as we were almost done.

Yelp
This place is great if you're craving hot pot but don't want to do AYCE. This spot combines the joy of personal hot pot with an refreshed atmosphere. They used to be located in the honey pig plaza and a bit smaller. It's a perfect choice for those seeking something warm in the cold weather. The options are diverse, ranging from comforting classics to lighter alternatives. I usually go for the Korean army stew or the Taiwanese spicy hot pot. You also get to choose a side. I get the braised pork rice each time; it's so addicting! Whether you're a hot pot enthusiast or just looking for a novel dining experience on a cold day, tasty point is right up your alley.

Yelp
Tasty Point has been a staple for friends meet-up when we were not in the mood to go full-blown hot pot. They serve individual pre-assembled "hot-pot" brought to table, which can be shared, and other items, including appetizer, skewers, and boba. They had moved from the Welcome plaza to Dun Huang plaza, so I went to the new location recently! Personally, I never really liked their boba drinks, so I won't comment on it. My friend and I shared the Porcini hot pot, which was generic and a good option if you don't feel adventurous. I personally favor the Taiwanese Hot Pot more, has a little bit of a kick and also comes with stinky tofu! For skewers, we had the Lamb - which was pretty good, and the large intestine - which was a delight as well. They have several appetizers, the chicken popcorn is always good & decent in size. I used to like their mixed tripe appetizer as well, but the past few times I had it, it tasted sour/weird like the food has been out for long or about to be spoiled. Tl;dr: If you crave for some soupy thing but not full-blown Hot Pot, Tasty Point is a good option. While there, try some skewers & appetizers as well!

Yelp
I've never had a personal sized hot pot and it was so much fun!! It's way more food than I anticipated and they have delicious dipping sauces for your meats. The Taiwanese spicy hot pot had toppings that remind me of my childhood. Note: the Korean stew hot pot doesn't come with kimchi, even if it was listed. The staff didn't inform us of the lack of kimchi until we had to ask about it ourselves. And I thought they would offer us a substitute topping, but no, which I was disappointed by. I also wish that you would be able to substitute out certain toppings in the dishes, but they wouldn't let us and told us they would only put it on the side. It was pretty empty on a Saturday dinner time, but more people wandered in as we ate.

Karen K.

Yelp
Plenty of choices for you to choose from, hot pot, ramen, skewers, etc. We opted for hot pot, choosing the tomato hot pot and coconut curry hot pot. Both were good but on the salty side. The tomato had a rich tomato flavor with fish filets and plenty of vegetables. This is good for vegetarians. The coconut curry hot pot was a rich creamy flavor due to the coconut cream. We went around 7 on a Wednesday night thinking it would be busy but we were the first ones in there. They weren't ideally busy at all which was surprising. 2 staff were working and were very quick to respond when we needed something. This is a good hang out spot with friends or to take a date. Music was playing in the background and tvs playing cooking shows. Overall, great place to go if you are craving hot pot. They allay have teas as well.

Calvin W.

Yelp
I walked past this place and was curious about what they had to serve. They serving are really huge, and they serve it in this platform with fire underneath so it stays warm. Some great comfort food, for a OK price. I think you can expect maybe $15-$20 for a bowl here. The flavors are great, and they are quite generous with the toppings and meat. they have budae jjigae, kimchi stew, hot pot style options as well. Pretty decent joint with fast service, if you're really hungry and looking for something fast and delicious, this will hit the spot

Van N.

Yelp
This is such a cute hot pot place! It is a very simple in terms of hot pot experience as in all the meats and veggies are mostly in the option so you can choose to add more if you want. I love that everyone can have their own pot. We had the intestine skewer and shared a hot pot. it was definitely filling. I love all of the flavors and cannot wait to come back!!

Eliza L.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for dinner. The last time I came to Tasty Point was at the old location in Welcome shopping center. Now they moved toward the Beltway 8. I order #10 Korean Army Hot Pot 4.5/5 stars. The hot pot is pretty big that you can share with another person if you not a big eater. I order the braised ground pork rice bowl 5/5 stars as the side order. This never disappoint me. This is one of the best braised ground pork rice. Definitely will come back and try other hot pot flavor.

Lily L.

Yelp
I was craving for Taiwanese/Chinese snacks and hot pot so I came specifically for those. They have a lot of options! However, the appetizer portions are so small, so I would say they are on the overpriced end. We ordered the spicy beef tendon, spicy bean curd, and spicy stinky tofu, but none of that was really spicy or mala, which is very different than the Szechuan taste I was expecting. The bean curd was good though, flavor just right and not too oily. The sweet and spicy wings are delicious, my bf and I love it the most, but so be expecting for the small sized wing (they cut the wing in half, so on the menu says 12 wing but you are only getting around 6 whole wings). Tried the Laksa hot pot because I was curious and want something new. I would give it a 8/10 because the creamy taste was good with subtle curry flavor. But not spicy as they stated, again. It's a spice friendly pot for everyone I would say. Also the size is good to share between two people. Place looks very bright and trendy, it does gets busy at night but definitely a good space to grab a quick dinner with friends and family. Nice vibe and service was fast and friendly.

Yelp
I came in and got the menu but no server came to take my order I waited for 5 minutes before I could order so I had to order through the app especially one of the servers named Lyon a Chinese server his English wasn't that good I couldn't really understand him he didn't ask if I wanted any water or if I needed anything else I don't really recommend this place.

Houston B.

Yelp
I like the food, served hot and tasty. The environment and service is pretty good. Will come back

Yelp
My friend and I came here one afternoon to chat and catch up, and the interior was vibrant and quite friendly! Coming in, the staff seemed a little hesitant and were not as open and welcoming as I am accustomed to (especially as someone who has worked these smaller, aesthetic chains), but did take our orders and were satisfactory at helping us with our needs. The food was good, portions were large and plentiful, and presentation was beautiful. The braised pork on top of the sauce was very tasty and we both enjoyed our food a ton! The fire our pots were on kept our food hot throughout our whole experience. I like the fact that two types of teas are offered and that it can come hot or cold. I also loved the fries and the little branded tofu hat has the logo on it. I thought those were a very nice touch.

Moni T.

Yelp
I love this location, inside is clean and spacious, booth seating is comfortable, staff is attentive. Mostly important, food is amazing, flavors and portion sizes. I love that you have the choice of vermicelli, white rice or braised pork rice to go with your hot pot, and I highly recommend getting the braised pork rice. It's so flavorful, pork is so well seasoned, I would feel happy just with this rice alone. We tried: Singapore laksa pot: it comes with a variety of seafood, and broth is tasty. I drank half pot of the broth, it's that good. There's some vermicelli at the bottom as well. Taiwanese hot pot: if you are craving something hot, this is a good option. It comes with so much meat, meat balls and noodles. It's very filling, enough for two meals for my husband.

Andrew W.

Yelp
I came here with my friends recently for the first time! Nice foody vibe with good decorations in the restaurant! There were no vegetarian options on the menu yet the chef made us a vegetarian dish with tomato based soup and it was very delicious! They should definitely make some veggie options so many vegetarian vegan people can come! Personally, I enjoyed a lot yet the only con from the experience was a bit of unfriendliness of a worker. He seemed to be a quick worker but his attitude was obviously not pleasant. Knowing it can be tiring but still important to serve customers with good attitudes as a server. Hope to see a few improvements when I go back sometimes in the future :) But the food was delicious Keep up the good work! Cheers

Yelp
This is my updated review since Tasty Point 鼎點 moved to Dun Huang Plaza. It is now located where Shabu House used to be in Building C. The closest entrance is on Corporate Drive. The menu is updated, less confusions from the inflation up charge on the old menu and more clarity on what they serve. Lunch has the best value as it comes with tea and $1 cheaper than dinner. The place filled up pretty quick on a weekday afternoon. Didn't seem like the move made any difference. I ordered the first item on the menu - Taiwanese Stinky Tofu Hot Pot 台式臭臭锅 with Braised Pork Rice. The iced tea was kind of sweet for me. It came with a takeout cup, like the old location. It's was convenient to carry out. It took about 15 minutes to get my dish. I asked not to lit up the flame because I was in a hurry. The food was hot enough. This dish has everything about Taiwanese street food but not stinky. I was able to finish in 25 minutes while taking few pictures to document my experience. In comparison to the old location, I like this new location because of space. The interior is much bigger and tables are aligned logically. I think I'll visit often during lunchtime.

Carmela N.

Yelp
A GREAT spot. On a Saturday for lunch the place was very busy yet the staff was extremely attentive. You order on your phone. Food was delivered to us within 10 minutes. The Tom Yum Shrimp hot pot fed 2 people with average appetites. (We did order extra noodles since it comes with only a small bowl of vermicelli). The soup came with 3 shrimps, 1 squid, clams, muscles, squid balls, corn, and more. The mild spicy still had a strong kick despite being the lowest level. The broth had great flavors. We will definitely come back to try more. If you check in you can pick from 3 different puddings for free (as of March 2023).

Jenn T.

Yelp
For this price point it's honestly really hard to make any complaints about Tasty Point. It's very easy to find parking and the service is always quick and straight to the point. Although I wish the restaurant was a bit more clean/decorated, as in it does have a mom and pop restaurant feel nothing fancy, the food is great and the staff is very patient and friendly. If I wanted to get hotpot and didn't want to stay forever at an all you can eat establishment, you can definitely find me here.

Trung N.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best and most satisfying dining experience ever!! Have you ever wanted to eat something fulfilling (aka more than just one entree with one kind of meat at a restaurant) but don't want to spend AYCE prices either? If so, then Tasty Point is the perfect option. I went to the location near Great Wall and it was packed with people with the same idea. I ordered the Taiwanese Hot Spicy hot pot and the braised pork rice as a side (which is included in the price btw). My assessment of how good a hot place is depends on the quality of the ingredients, and I'm happy to say that my huge bowl of hot pot includes so much beef, fishball/beef balls with actual fillings (which is more expensive than the ones without), some unique cuts of pork that I rarely have at other restaurants, and expensive garnishes such as taro and enoki mushrooms. With that said, the ratio of these ingredients may not be what you would order for yourself at an AYCE hot pot place (I personally would order an excessive amount protein...) but at the total price of only $24 (tax and tips included), I was sooo fulfilled and satisfied with my experience. The hot pot also came with the option to be lit up from the bottom (the flame will extinguish itself after 15 mins or so) which creates a very exciting eating experience. Being in the heart of Chinatown and packed with customers also makes dining at Tasty Point all the more pleasant!

Rachel X.

Yelp
We love Tasty Point, and we are so glad they moved to a more convenient location in Dun Huang Plaza next to the popular dessert and drink places like Hui Lao Shan and Xing Fu Tang. They have a variety of delicious and healthy hot pots to choose from, we have tried a few and loved all of them. They also have many yummy appetizers and sides. Some of our favorites are cucumber, popcorn chicken and fried King oyster mushrooms. We have always had really friendly and helpful servers. Love this place!

Quynh-Anh V.

Yelp
Visited again the other day at the new location in Dun Huang Plaza. The Korean Army Pot tastes worse now compared to the old location, the flavors feel a lot weaker and it's not spicy at all. Also my Taiwanese friend said the Stinky tofu pot was not stinky at all--so not much flavor and not very authentic. Really sad by the drop in quality yet increase in price after moving to the new location.

Rain V.

Yelp
I got #9 - the Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot. This place is interesting. It's like a more fancy version of your at home cup noodle. I wish they put more beef. I tried it, probably won't go back. If you haven't tried it, i think it's worth it for the one time experience.

Night O.

Yelp
Been here a few times already. The waiters are always nice and attentive. Food is very good. Usually order Taiwanese hot pot or Singapore Laksa or Korean Army. Love their popcorn chicken too... Place is clean and relaxing.

Jessica Z.

Yelp
I have been on a hot pot kick so decided to try out Tasty Point per recs from friends. The interior had cute decor but was much smaller than I expected, so it might be a tight squeeze during lunch/dinner time. We ordered French fries as an appetizer and the spicy beef hot pot that was filled with really tender beef, fish balls, tofu, mushrooms, vermicelli, bean curd and veggies. I loved the soup base as it was light but still packed with flavor. The fries were crispy and an unique twist but did not impress me as it had a strong oily taste. They also have a wide range of desserts and drinks that I would love to try next time!

Diana J.

Yelp
Food is so so. Not really something I'd return for. Got fried pork chops and it wasn't crispy at all. The meat sticks were over cooked. The only thing I liked was the stinky tofu.

Zhen L.

Yelp
Came here after hearing good things about it on social media, however it was an underwhelming experience. Food was a bit bland and service wasn't that great....we came on on a Thursday night and it was quite packed. Unfortunately won't be going back, there's way too many good food options in Houston!

Lea C.

Yelp
Food is pretty good! Individual soup serving is humongous. Love the very long fries! We tried a couple of different items on the menu and their drinks too! Service is pretty good, our food came out quick. The restaurant is pretty clean, cute inside.

Shayla N.

Yelp
Was really excited to try the place out. Made it there before 9:30 and was denied entry, the closing hours showed 10pm daily. Sadly disappointed.

emily c.

Yelp
I come to their new location once a month. Good staple because of the variety of pots you can get here. Although it's inexpensive the meat veg and items in the pot is not the best. You can earn points for free pots. I like their popcorn chicken a lot. The Taiwanese sausage is always hard and over done. The service depends on the day. The teas are a little too sweet for my taste but a lot of people do like it.

Sarah C.

Yelp
The food was delicious and service was good! I got the spicy ramen and I recommend it!

Albert L.

Yelp
Craving 臭臭鍋 glad they have one here in Houston! Not the best I ever had but definitely hit the spots Their delivery is hit and miss... sometime they would forget stuff Weird that you can't make a pot spicy if it doesn't come spicy

Christie N.

Yelp
I've been coming to tasty points for yearsss. However the past few experiences has been quite a let down. Quality has gone down and I noticed they cut down on portion sizes. Used to be my spot but after eating there yesterday Ive been getting the spicy runs..me and my bf stomach were hurting. :(

Sheyla C.

Yelp
Place is rather small but it's nice and cute! The servers were nice and our food was super spicy, but still super good! The prices are pretty good for the portions since they give you a lot! I'm someone who has a very low spicy level tolerance so my dish was super spicy but delicious! If I wasn't dying from the spice and the large amount, I would of definitely finished it.

Patty C.

Yelp
This place has been bookmarked for quite some time as a must visit in Chinatown. While offering a wide menu covering more than just hotpot, their hotpot is the obvious star and focus of the show here. And while I have enjoyed hotpot as a communal dining experience, I had only just begun experiencing the individual hotpot trend. This is the first precooked individual hotpot place I have visited. I find this to be a great place to take beginners, as you don't need to instruct and monitor them and their cooking prowess. From soup base to delicious morsels, ingredients are precooked and preselected. I ordered the Tom Yum, and my dining partner ordered the Golden Spicy Beef. The Tom Yum is a great choice if you enjoy bold flavors and sour notes. The Golden Spicy was also tasty, but the flavors were much more subdued. This is something I imagine being well suited for children and grandma or for those desiring a milder flavor profile. Neither dish was very spicy despite the spicy label. Our waitress gave us the option of lighting the charcoal in the heating element on which the hotpot is served. I enjoy my hotpot remaining hot to the last bite, so I opted for it. However, I made sure to ask for a small bowl on the side to spoon out and cool small portions at a time for faster consumption and avoidance of burning mouth injuries. That's my protip for you. I'll have to return and try that stinky tofu some time. It's somewhat difficult to find and quite a delectable treat. Tasty Point does offer ramen and skewers besides hotpot, as well as an array of appetizers. I would probably pass on those unless you have a large group. The regular size hotpot is more than enough food, and it comes with a side of sauced ground pork and rice or noodles to boot. Worth a return visit for sure!

Wan C.

Yelp
It's the worst hot pot ever! All the ingredients are not fresh at all. Cheap ingredients they throw in the hot pot and sell for $15+ for a pot. Smh what a ripped-off.

AJ H.

Yelp
Very good Hot pot spot! They cook everything for you. Plentiful protein and veggies in one order. Quick service. Highly recommend!

Cassandra M.

Yelp
Honestly this place is a decent visit if you order from their hot pot menu! So giving the 3 stars cuz family got their ramen and it wasn't bad necessarily but with the price point and comparing it to the quality of the hot pot order (we got the curry laksa), I don't think we would order again. We've had a lot of ramen from stove top to authentic Japanese, and maybe we'd be less critical if it was stovetop but it was pretty clearly not authentic and the tonkatsu broth was very muted plus the ramen egg was just hard boiled, it could've been a Taiwanese take but yeah the price didn't reflect in quality in our opinion Curry laksa was good, we appreciated that our server could adjust the heat level- the various seafood ingredients, tofu, etc was harmonious. Wish there was more vermecelli noodle, the amount was def not enough. Maybe it's cuz It was a hot pot version but personally I wish it had more of the strong curry notes. However it gets a pass for someone who enjoys flavor, just itching for more oomph there for sure. Appreciate the kind service and patience with our huge family! The drinks look good!!

Chuck B.

Yelp
Looking for amazing hot pot? I found it! Tasty Point is excellent. The food and service are both great. We had the Taiwanese hot pot, cucumber side and octopus' side. All three were delicious. The servers were very attentive but not intrusive. The ambiance is bright and fun. I highly recommend this spot for hot pot!

kayla t.

Yelp
The new location is clean and spacious. This is a good place to grab hotpot. The portion is shareable. Lexi was super amazing and helpful! she always has a smile and seem to love her job. Absolutely sweet which made us enjoy our meal even more.

Scott L.

Yelp
Great food and service! We stopped by here before leaving Houston, and decided Taiwan style hot pot might be a good choice while temp was down. Food was just amazing! Had Taiwan tofu pot, spice pot and Herb one. Every single pot had so much food in there that we couldn't just finish, the portion size is huge compare my experience from Los Angles. Each pot also come with a choice of rice, rice noodle and rice with braised meat sauce, they are all tasty! Owner and servers are very accommodating! High recommend to the community here.

Alice H.

Yelp
Not sure if my taste has changed or if there are just so many other hot pot places around town now, but this place is only average to me. I went back today for the first time in many years and was unimpressed. I guess for the price it's still pretty good. The large pot is $18-21, so the regular pot is around ~$17 for lunch. With it, you still get a drink plus your choice of braised pork rice, vermicelli, or regular white rice. There was only one person servicing about 5 tables, and he did a really good job of keeping up. 5/5 I ordered the Porcini Pot (large) with the braised pork rice. The braised pork was good - sweet and savory Taiwanese style - but it was just a thin layer on top. The pot started off ok, but after taking a couple bites, the soup became very salty and the meal was less enjoyable after that point. I started fishing stuff out to drain it. As far as mushrooms, I could only find a couple strands of enoki, maybe 2 shiitake mushrooms, and some maitake? Lots of fish balls, which were nice, and more meat than the usual (maybe 8-10 pieces in the large pot?). Each table comes with 3 sauces - the usual red pepper spicy one, the sha-cha, and a garlic soy sauce. Given how salty this was, I didn't really make use of the condiments. I do generally like their drinks though. If you don't like super sweet, you should definitely get 50% or lower sweetness level (consider even 30%). I tried the white peach with coconut jelly. I give it a 4/5 and it was pretty refreshing on a hot day (and after the salty broth). I'm not sure which sweetness level I got - I assume he gave me 50% because I thought it could have been less sweet. It's a pretty tall drink, unlike most tea houses that give you a little bitty cup. Not sure I'd come back to be honest. Post-COVID, I'm not really a fan of small places with tables that are elbow to elbow.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant with absolutely delicious food and drinks. Staff was super friendly, service was great. Try have a large food and drink menu. I highly recommend

Yelp
Don't ever never come here waisted ur time and money !!!! We just have a Stinky hot pot for lunch . Seriously this place sale food look like Dog food so super smelly Me and my husband was so excited to try new place but somehow turn down so disappointed . First we ordered 2 number 7 and the employees ask us do u want free white rice or vermicelli? We said please 2 white rice but then he said only 1. I'm wondering why becus we order 2 order we should get free 2 rice right??? But he said this was a law here only free 1 rice. I said ok. And we wait for 15m but somehow they only bring 1 hot soup out. We thought maybe the second come right after this but then we are still wait other 10m. I have to call cashier and ask where the second one we are still wait. And she said oh the ticket only has 1 order. So she has to add 1 more order. Total waiting almost 25m... WTH??? They need retraining employees Don't ever order number 7. Soup very stink and all vegetables in the soup so old, tasted like fermented. Tofu fucking stick.. waist my money and time.. don't come here

Yelp
Love it! I drive basically an hour to come to this location because my boyfriend & I LOVE the food!! We always get the Taiwanese hot pot , medium spice ? Side of white rice, chicken gizzard skewers . Today for the first time I tried out the red dragon fruit soda and I was obsessed!! It's not like regular super sugary sodas it was perfect. I love this location with they had one on the north side of town! Recommend this place 1000%

Yelp
We like this restaurant. Food is always good. The only not so good was service is a bit slow. We had to wait over 30min for our food. They may not have enough staffs. The 2 girls worked very hard to keep up with the pack restaurant.

Yelp
We completely understand that they're a staffing shortage, but that doesn't mean no service at all. The last two times we were here, the staff didn't even want to service us. We had to ask for drinks, then had to call them for utensils, had to track them down to take our orders. Two girls were in the front the whole time, and we had to ask for our bills and refills. We waited longer and had to interrupt them mid conversation for to go containers. My family enjoyed the tom yum hot pot, but the other pots were bland, so you'll need to season it some. I still come here because all of their appetizers been delicious!!! Probably better than their main dishes. The fries, sliced beef, spicy stinky tofu etc has been amazing.

Yelp
This is a great single-serving hotpot place to come to catch up with friends. They have preset hotpot topping and broth choices, which is pretty nice if you're an indecisive person like me. The ones that I've tried here and really liked are: -Singapore Laksa Hot Pot -Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot -Porcini Hot Pot It's nice because each hotpot also comes with a side of your choice of : 1) white rice, 2) braised pork, 3) rice, or 4) vermicelli. I really like the braised pork. Each hotpot here is a pretty large portion, and can honestly be shared within 2 people. I've seen a lot of people share with each other. If you come here starving though, then you can definitely finish an entire one on your own. The flavors are really good and I love all of the toppings that come with each. There is an even and fair amount of protein and vegetables with each. The presentation is also really nice. I like that you have the option to have the fire underneath the hotpot lit up if you want it to be continuously hot and boiling as you eat it. You can control the fire and turn if off yourself too with a switch on the side, after they light it up.

Yelp
It's great to see a personal hot pot place open in Katy, and it's Taiwanese style so different from the Sichuan style hotpot that you can find at Haidilao. If you've been to Boiling Point on the west coast this is a very similar concept. The menu has a lot of options, even if you don't want to order hotpot. I like that you can choose between vermicelli, rice, or rice with braised pork as a side to your hotpot. The braised pork rice is definitely the most worth, as the pork is delicious and some places will charge extra for that! I got the sour cabbage lamb hot pot and it was pretty good. Personally, I still like Boiling Point better because I find their broths to be more flavorful, but this isn't the west coast and Tasty Point is still worth going to for personal Taiwanese hot pot!

Yelp
This place was extremely quiet when we got in, so it was easy to find a place to sit. You order through a QR code, and you are not able to separate the orders if you are trying to separate checks. The ordering system was confusing as it asks you for your preferred spice, but turns out you cannot adjust the spice level. There was only one staff so there was also barely any service. We each got our own pot and had a crispy calamari to share. The calamari was good and crispy and paired well with the sauce provided. The soup on the other hand was disappointing. I ordered a Singapore Laksa and it was extremely bland. And I would know that because I'm from Singapore. Laksa is supposed to be an extremely flavorful curry, but if Laksa was a 10/10, this flavor was a 2/10. The only redeeming thing about the soups was that it was packed with ingredients. For 18$ I had two meals, two unsatisfactory meals. You can definitely get better food in bellaire, unless you're just looking for quantity over quality.
