Tasty Thai & Sushi

Tasty Thai is one of my favorite downtown choices - especially for their sushi! Great selection of nigiri and rolls, but also have noodles and rice-based dishes if that's more your style. I almost always also get the seaweed salad. The staff is very friendly - Be-be in particular is always a delight. Stop in if you're on King Street!

Sake is to die for and sushi is to live for! Great relaxed environment and amazing customer service. Don't forget to try the coconut soup.

I ordered the Pad Thai. It was very good! There are cool murals on the walls and the workers were friendly. "While looking at the cool murals on the wall, I felt like a was a fish eating Thai food" - Brian 🍜🇹🇭🐟

So I went to this place because I attend school at College of Charleston and wanted to sushi!!! This place sushi it not good! This is the first time that I ever had sushi that was completely deep fried!!! I always get this type of sushi the typical one with tempura shrimp and crab meat wherever I go and this was the worse one I ever had!! Then to top it off it totaled $15😫 how is the most expensive sushi I ever had the worse sushi I ever had 😒😒😒😒

This place has really good sushi and pad Thai. Came here as an out of towner, and if I ever get the chance to visit again I will be back!

1st time there with my best friend and we enjoyed the happy hour specials. Our server, Be-Be was excellent. She went above my expectations. Reminded me in my server days. She recommended the Basil Fried Rice which was amazing. Will definitely be my new spot for Thai food. 2nd time trying Thai in Charleston since I moved back and this was the best choice.

Excellent menu! Loved everything we tried. Tasty Thai has great lunch specials, and the entire restaurant is splashed with the most beautiful murals. The back room has a great-looking bar and a pocket pool table. Excited to return!

Have dined here two or three times a year over a period if four years up to two years ago but have only had the sushi and l sashimi at the sushi counter at the downtown location. Haven't yet tried any of the Thai entrees even though I enjoy Thai food but I have had their Thai beer with my meals. There have been several different sushi chefs when I ate there and each were knowledgeable and courteous and the seafood selections were always fresh and tasty though they weren't always able to get sea urchin which I like. The prices at the sushi bar are in my opinion a little higher then at other downtown area sushi restaurants but the portions are large. I've only been there during the dinner hour so can't speak to their lunch experience.
