Waitress was very helpful even with her somewhat broken English. Food was quite tasty. Would definitely come back. Ordered the iron beef. Recommend it.

Short of waiter to serve customer, the only waitress even yell at customer. We have order 6 dishes and some dishes is spicy cuisine, we asked for rice and water for more than twice while we have consumed the salty food during the time. The waitress even yelled at us and said can't you just wait while I rushed to take order from other customers and deliver foods to other customers? She should know that is their management issue, not customer's problem. We are actually needed water so urgently due to spicy foods are hurting our mouth and throat. The food is no fresh and not stand out at all. While we pay the bill, this waitress even throw the money back to us and said the tips is not sufficient for her service. Oh, they are actually accept cash only for tax avoid purposes, you know it is common for Asian restaurants. We are truly thought that there is no service at all from this restaurant. We will not return to this restaurant forever. If I have an option, I am not even giving one star at all. Shame on them...

So, my favorite thing to look for is something called Guobaorou in cities with North Eastern Chinese food. Absolute favorite of mine and something I would refer to everyone. This was unfortunately the worst I've had. It is supposed to be crisp on the outside while still somewhat chewy on the inside with significant sour to sweet flavor. Unfortunately the pieces were so very hard and crunchy with just sweet flavor and barely any of the sour flavor. Dumplings we ordered were also flavorless. The reason for the 3 stars is because my wife really liked the Liurouduar and tofu dish. Service was overall good, waitress was very nice and respectful.

We waited for 1 hour for delivery and we got RAW dumplings.

cold noodle good taste. The lamb kebab was very dry and hard to bite, felt cooked one day earlier and not fresh.

Hit and miss. Avoid 夫妻肺片at all costs. Not fresh (iced too long). The rest was okay. I was craving 東北菜, so I dropped by here when I saw the menu. I probably will try again because they had a couple stand out dishes. I just wished that their ingredients were more fresh.

Really good and cheap. They have some family style Chinese food. Not salty and no MSG. I like the dish in my second pic the most. Note that they only take cash or transfer.

CASH ONLY. A really great place to enjoy some awesome Northeastern Chinese food, feels very homey. The restaurant is very clean, food quality very consistent! Parking can be crowded during certain hours. CASH ONLY - I learnt my lesson. Opens at 11am every day.

The one of the best northern Chinese foods in southland and the price is surprisingly cheap (can't beat that these days ;). it's next door to a large Chinese supermarket, so plenty of parking spots. Try it and you will be hooked :) BTW, the only draw back is that it does not take credit card or check ;)

Attn Business Owner: CNY week dinner One of my friend introduced your place, and we"ve been back couple of time since then with some fams & friends, you"ve Good food, but your FOH really need a LOT of attention. Your server has been giving us hit&miss exprience (which we still can tolerate) but on our last is the WORSE, we received an combination of KAREN & HELLs Kitchen service style. Utterly VERY RUDE from the moment we order until we finished (Hawk eye and Karen answering style when we"ve question or request). Even my guest start questioning your server attitude what a shamefull experience since I"m hosting them that night. On top of that your server completely ignore us until we done (we not even finish the food bc of the akward situation). I asked to speak w/ the owner or manager but been told that they"re not available that nite so I address this complain directly to your server, I explained what wrong with the service she provided, which she absolutely doesn"t give shit about our complain for sure. Shame on you. Native chinese speaking table around us received far more better on par service. Not coming back.

I'm genuinely surprised by the low ratings because this place serves some of the most authentic Northeast Chinese cuisine I've had. The flavors are rich and true to tradition, with dishes that bring a real taste of home. The environment is clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable dining experience. Service was decent--nothing extraordinary, but definitely not bad. Overall, if you're looking for a great spot for Northeast Chinese food, this place is worth a visit. Don't let the ratings fool you!

The food is decent IF they have a good kitchen crew. One day I went and the food blew me out of the water it was so good! The next time I went, the food was mediocre. :/ There was nothing in between. Also, it is CASH ONLY! No credit card so make sure that you have cash on you. This to me is a little odd as nowadays so many people are cashless but whatever works for them I guess. Just be warned and bring cash. They do not really speak English so make sure that your pointing game in on point as that was the only way that I could really communicate. Also, be warned that some of the menu is only in Chinese. They do not really greet you as you enter, you just kinda walk in and get a table and wait for them to clean it for you. The food can be good. . .BUT only if the kitchen crew is on point. So eat there at your own risk

Came by with colleagues the other day and they ordered four dishes for the four of us. All of this food came out to about $21 per person (which includes the tax and tip) and I would say this is a place for its value. The food itself was a little on the plain/bland side but they generous with the serving size. My favorite was the sauteed intestines because they made it in a way that did not taste gamy/gross which is so important for this dish.

The food is excellent and authentic. Some of the dishes they serve are very hard to find in Los Angeles. They use good ingredients and really have the skills to make good dishes. Service is what you am reasonably expect from a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. Definitely recommended.

Came by this place randomly. Food was surprisingly good. Very different from your typical Chinese food. Service was also awesome unlike what was said in the old reviews. Will return for sure!

Tasty thousand actually has very high quality and delicious food disregard all the negative reviews. I order from them often since it is close to my work. There are a couple of dishes that I recommend from my experiences. First, their double-cooked pork sliced (Old fashion way) is VERY good. I think it is one of their most popular dishes. Second, the string beans with beef are very delicious. Third, the fried minced celery with glass noodles is extremely tasty as well. So far I think their service is decent. I never encountered any issues. I see the same hostess there each time I got. She is friendly most of the time.

Me and my family visit this restaurant last week ,they offer northern Chinese food, it's actually not bad .Everything taste ok but a little salty. With this price I think it's worth it . Will come back!

Food here is disgusting and people here are rude as hell. They will tell you cash only with an attitude and make you tip at the register. She treated me as I was gonna run away without tipping.

Quite bad service! The waiter is unfriendly and has no idea to respect customers. I just arrived the restaurant and made order in 15 min. Then the waitress urged us to pay the bill, even though we did not finish our meal. The waitress also complained that we do not pay the bill on time. This is ridiculous.

Ordered this "ma la ban" as togo today. It looks not bad, pretty decent. But flavor wise is a big strange...it is sweet and sour with a bit kick of spicy... My experience with this dish has never been sweet and sour...strange.... Wanted to give an update of the review the next morning after I finished the food. So I felt like vomiting all night after having this dish and the next morning, sure enough I vomit. Like I said, I had the same dish elsewhere and this has never happened to me. Never again at this place...very disappointed.

There are not much 东北菜 in LA. Tasty thousand is one of the best. The food is really original taste with big portion. When you walked in, the smell of the food will leads you nostalgia. My parents in law loves their food a lot. Servants are nice. However, I think they should hire more servants. When we visited, there was only one server and all tables are full. We did wait for a little while to get all foods served.

The food didn't come out. After I sat down and ordered the food didn't come out and other tables that came after me. Food came out while my food still wasn't out. the service was terrible, I asked them MULTIPLE times to ask if my food was ready and it was still not ready they were saying lies say that my food was hard to make when other tables had the same food. The waiters were rude and the owner was who took my order. The place was also messy and dirty. There was bugs over the floor

Service sucks and food sucks. Nothing tasted authentic, i am from northern china beijing so ive tried a lot of places, this has to be the worst. Its expensive too, everything was 10 to 13 dollars per dish and they dont give you enough food for what you pay for. I will not be coming back ever again.

For those who came and complain their service or keep saying their beef roll or kungpao chicken sucks, please go on and never come back since this is really not a place for those stuff you asked for. As a Northeastern resident (born and raised), I can say nothing go wrong so far to me and I gave em 4 stars just to avoid them feeling too proud and affect their working attitude. Deep down inside it is 5 star no doubt. Ordered to go twice since my wife need to feed baby at home. I came up with the screen shot for the second time. I ordered Sweet and sour pork, stir fried dried tofu with green pepper. Traditional Shenyang Flower salad, stir fried liver, stomach, and intestine( all pork), and spicy chicken knuckles. Nothing went wrong and sweet and sour pork is the bomb. Authentic to the root! Hope they can keep on after they came back from that sad fire accident. I now am endorsing as a fan. 中文简单点儿， 知道他家被大火烧了前一家店面以后一直就惦记着想吃这一口。目前为止点了两次外卖。我住的近所以菜品质量没被影响太多。最近这次点了锅包肉，尖椒干豆腐，熘三样（肝肚肠），飘香鸡脆骨，拌花菜（我的翻译真特么烂）。三个字儿就是没毛病。锅包肉尤其见手艺。以后接着换着样吃。作为一个土生土长的东北人，给这家背书。

We picked up takeout with a cigarette butt in the food. Completely unacceptable. The food was intended to feed our toddler son. Upon call to complain, was asked to provide photo. Was told no one working at the restaurant smokes that particular brand of cigarette. This is hard to believe as the takeout was wrapped by staff prior to our arrival. Was comped the bill. Will never patronize again.

Got a spinach and salty and sour Potato too only pot bag meat can work. All the dishes very salt It's so bad never come back and the service is bad too only two lady's they can't handle they work at all

Yup, the service is as bad as they say... I've dined in twice and the first time was pretty forgivable but the second less so. I usually expect poor service for the first couple months of a new restaurant opening since they're just trying to figure out their operations without having any reliable forecast of demand. However, while slow service can be forgivable, poor server attitude is a little less so. Each time we dined in, there were only two servers waiting on tables. You can see the growing frustration on people's faces as they tried to flag down a waitress for their attention to get anything from water/tea refills to just trying to order after getting seated. Even I was getting a little anxious watching the whole thing go down. The reason I even went back a second time and am still giving this place 3 stars is that the food is good with mostly excellent portions and the prices are quite impressive. (Seriously, check out the menu photos to see the pricing.) If they could resolve their service issues (hire at least one more server and find friendlier ones), I really believe this restaurant could thrive. We also observed that patrons would bring their own beer. Like, actual 12 packs or 24 packs or whatever. They'd just buy it next door at GW supermarket and then crush them all while eating dinner. A BYOB restaurant? Such an odd scene, but it seems like an acceptable culture -- at least for now. We'll see if that changes! Cash only.

Maybe I'm biased, maybe I just like their food because it reminds me of home. Tasty thousand restaurant specializes in Northern Chinese cuisine. I took the courtesy of taking pictures of their menu so my fellow yelpers wouldn't be left in the dark like I was! If it hadn't been for my cousin's recommendation since she came with her friends, I probably would've never known this place existed! So far, everything I have tried here has no disappointed with the exception of their shrimp pork and leek dumpling. The place is clean and looks newly remodeled.

SOOO scary and gross. It's like they don't know we are in the middle of a pandemic! First of all CASH ONLY but didn't mention this during the call. When we got there to pick up the food, there were about 10 ppl standing inside and out of the patio with NO mask whatsoever including the Owner who seems to be the chef too. Oh 3-5 guys were smoking at the same time! No social distancing or mask NONE! I asked the owner's wife (who was the only person wearing a mask) if her chef wore a mask while cooking my food. She said yes. So I zelled her the money. Half way home though, I realized it was like 40 mins past her closing hour. No way the cook is still in, it's her husband who cooked and I saw him standing there chatting with NO mask. If he didn't even put on a mask while surrounded by ppl, I don't believe he would put one on while cooking in the kitchen!!! So disgusted I had to throw all the food away!!!! Don't come here!!!!

If you are looking for the tradition taste of northeastern Chinese food, then this is a good place to go. If you want good services, then avoid this place at all cost. Also, sometimes the food comes out a little bit different from how it should be, and that means you have bad luck. You can do nothing about it

Leek Sanxian Dumplings on menu should change to Leek Yixian Dumplings. Sanxian in other restaurants means three kinds of seafood, but Tasty Thousand Restaurant only provided one small tiny cut of shrimp. All ten mini dumplings together used less than one shrimp. The taste was so so. The flies were around me all the time. 菜單的 "韭菜三鮮水餃"，小小的幾乎全部是韭菜，幾丁丁蛋，和一丁丁蝦，蝦就一丁丁。十個迷你三鮮水餃的蝦用不到一隻蝦，而且是一鮮不是三鮮。味道普通，餐館內還有蒼蠅飛來飛區。菜單名不符實，有欺騙之嫌疑，應該成 "韭菜一鮮水餃"。

Nice experience！very tasty food ，Reasonable price，and a commodious, clean, bright environment. The Chinese hawthorn berry is a tiny, tart sphere that looks a bit like a crab apple. During the winter, vendors sell candied hawthorn at many different public spaces in Beijing. Fried egg whites and red bean paste This looks like Snow cotton, Red bean paste inside. Very famous The northern cuisine

This is a bad restaurant. I found moldy plastic in my takeaway food. Never try it. This is a piece of advice.

To the owner : send your female servers to special institute. They know nothing about customer services , hospitality. Food is decent, but eventually this place is gonna shut down due to lack of customer services.

Very bad service, I ordered food from HungryPanda, when I pick up the food in store, the owner didn't want to take care about me. When I told the owner's service is bad, the owner told me just don't fking order the food here anymore. I just wonder why a restaurant can treat to a customer like this. I won't go back to this restaurant anymore, and I will let all my friends knows the service here.

Their employees gave us horrible attitudes and even cursed and told us not to order at their restaurant anymore. And all these came from no where. I will never ever come to this place ever again

If I can give zero star, I will put zero. The service attitude here is really poor! Never encountered such a bad service attitude! I ordered the meal use Hungry Panda online app. When I went to the restaurant to pick it up, entering the door, I told the female owner who was sweeping the floor that I came to pick up the order. She said "What?". I said again I came to pick up the order. She used very bad attitude and bad tone asked me, how did you order? calling or app online? What did you order? I said I ordered on Hungry Panda, I could show you my order number. She said I did not need see order number, just told me what did you order. And she said in her restaurant only calling order you can say" pick up", if used app order you need say Panda! Such a bad attitude towards guests. I'm here to spend money, not to listen to her lesson. I asked her if she needed order number, she said no, and then later asked me what is your order number again. I don't recommend others come here, it is a bad experience.

All right! This is my last time to go to there. Because they don't know how to respect to the customer! So rude!!! Whatever your food is good or not,but you still need to know how to service and respect! Be a people，please!

I wish I have read the reviews before going. Having that said I will never ever go to this place again . We ordered The stuffed chilly and it was extremely salty according to my husband (I don't eat chilly so I can't say). I ordered a spicy mixed vegetable. For some reason only the spinach was salty, so salty to the point it is not edible. I reflected this situation to the waitress and first thing she said it is supposed to be like that. When I insisted to have her or the chef to try it out, she just left. Another waitress came and said she could mix it for me to make it less salty. I told her I can mix it myself and I don't need a chef to do that for me. She then accused me for understanding her incorrectly, she meant by making a new order for me. My Chinese isn't the greatest but I verified with my husband whose is native Chinese that she meant by mixing and blending the dish. The next table heard my conversation and told me she was very upset with the service as well and told me she would never go again. This is exactly how I feel! This place used to be crowded and today is a Saturday and surprisingly it was quiet inside. I do see the reason why.

We heard about this restaurant from our friend. Although our friend told us to be careful of their service, we took our chance to try it out since we care more about the food. It wasnt to our surprise their service is worse than we expected. One of their waitress, a mid aged lady, she wiped her sweat off her forehead and went on grabbing the plate to customer. Their waitress kept ignoring us throughout the whole time. We didnt really want to confront with them because they look like they would spit into our food if we did. The food wasn't that great either. One of the dish was really sour and the veggie was not cooked enough. Be really careful their food is not served as how they appeared in their nice menu picture. We would give a 2.5 for their food and -1 for their service.

We were told about this place by our doctor who has an office nearby. We came into this place at about 1:30 in the afternoon. We were seated promptly and menus were provided. My wife ordered for us, we had braised beef ribs, sweet and sour pork, a soup dish that was very spicy and contained noodles, tofu, blood cubes and not sure what else. My wife liked the soup, I can't do tofu/blood soup, this soup had so many peppers I have no idea how she ate it. The beef ribs were very good, as was the sweet and sour pork. There was some kind of a fried flour cake thing, not sure what it was, and it was only ok. Service was good, the employees and the customers were all having a good day from what we could tell. I was surprised to see such low star rating TBH. We came back for dinner the same day, but it was full, so crowded no tables were available. But we would have eaten here twice in one day. Instead we went back to our hotel and ate the food that was left from lunch.

We came to the restaurant and asked to be seat for 4 adults and 2 children. While we waited for 15min they gave the table to a group of 6 adults who came after us. When we asked them why and they simply said the 2 children doesn't count towards number of people! And they said if you are not happy then you don't have to dine here. Worst service ever!

I enjoyed the food but their customer service really tried my patience/tolerance. My friend and I were largely ignored, and our last dish never came to the table until after we were ready to pay and leave and wanted to cancel it. Extremely slow. Cash only (had to go to the BoA across the street, which alone wasn't much of a problem). Big line. Took my number but never called - later I walked back in only to find out there were already multiple tables available. I'm from this part of China and I would have appreciated this dining experience 10x more. Really disappointed. 3 stars for the food. Service gets 0.

I've been here twice after moving to a new place. Decoration and environment are clean, nice and modern. Food is always tasty! Authentic traditional northern Chinese cuisine.

I often come to this restaurant. They reopened in a cleaner environment. The food is just as good. Smoked chicken rack highly recommended!!

This place has great and tasty food. Also the price is really fair. I recommend for those who love spicy food because most of all food tasty good with spicy.

The service is way too bad. Dont go there. Owner, you need to fire the waitress who works on Saturday day shift.

Tastes just like home. Taste authentic and the chefs are North Eastern cooking North Eastern style. Don't know why so many people complaining about the food and service, they clearly don't know what the culture is like. You can't expect to walk into a place like this and expect to be treated like a VIP at a world class resort.

The food served very slow for the first time.At that time the waitress would say sorry to us. It's just ok.This time I want to order food to go,I got very bad service.When I walked in nobody notice me even say hello. I asked a waitress 'I want to to go something' .She just said 'it's the rest time nobody will cook for you ' with contemptuous look .It's just like Ineed to beg her.Won't back again.Buy the way，they're a cash only restaurant.

Don't even come to the door. There service is sooooooo poor. Came in with friends and family to have dinner, after we ordered and the first dishes we received was wrong than we ask the waitress, she rudely and firmly told us this is what you order and she didn't do anything wrong. We just ask you didn't even have a thought to change or anything like that, we just ask one simple question. Poor service in the world. Lol Also required CASH ONLY? Wow good luck.

Service attitude is not good, they didn't give tableware until we asked.（People who love clean should not go to eat, because some dishes do not have spoons. Everyone uses their own chopsticks to pick dishes on the plate. It is very unsanitary.）
