We had a truly memorable evening at TaTi in Budapest. The atmosphere is stylish yet cozy, with warm wood accents and a modern design. The restaurant is set across two levels – the upstairs bar offers an excellent cocktail selection (the Pepper Pam is a highlight), while the downstairs area creates the perfect setting for larger groups.
We chose the five-course tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was outstanding. The goulash soup and the paprikash chicken stood out as absolute highlights, closely followed by the perfectly prepared duck. Dessert was a refined surprise: delicate cheese dumplings that rounded off the menu beautifully.
The wine recommendations were spot-on and complemented each course seamlessly. What makes TaTi particularly special is its concept of showcasing local ingredients and regional wines, which not only support sustainability but also give guests a true taste of Hungary’s culinary richness.
Overall, TaTi combines creativity, authenticity, and hospitality in a way that makes it a must-visit when in Budapest.
