"The owners of this restaurant in the up-and-coming District 7 also have a farm on the outskirts of the city where they grow their own fruit and veg. Menus comprise a mix of meat, fish and plant-based creations, with a natural feel to both the appearance and flavour of the dishes. The use of traditional Hungarian recipes results in hearty, wholesome cooking on the dinner menu, while lunch takes on more of a 'brunch' style. The accompanying natural, bio and organic wines come from vineyards in close proximity to the city." - Michelin Inspector

I visited this restaurant drawn by its philosophy and focus on local ingredients, which truly stood out for their excellent quality. The service was kind and attentive, impressive given the small staff managing a two-floor dining room with many tables. The cuisine was both simple and refined, and every dish was delicious. The goulash, in particular, was outstanding—probably the best I’ve ever had—flavorful yet surprisingly light. The selection of local wines was also excellent. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

My experience with my partner was sublime. We booked a reservation, when it was my first time eating at a Michelin star restaurant. Every dish that we ate blew our minds: the tastes, the attention to detail, the waiters that were so gracious. An amazing experience that I will remember dearly.

TATI gave us an intro to Hungarian food, elevating the national must-try into something easily digestible for non-locals like us. Chicken prapikas turns the traditional version into a whole piece of chicken with very crispy skin - loved it. We could not resist the dessert and went with cottage cheese dumplings and walnut dumplings. Many things on the menu are called dumplings in English but they are all so different! Staff are very hospitable and friendly, no fault to find here!

Incredible food journey for people that would like to explore Hungarian food. I personally had the tasting menu which gives you smaller dishes of their most popular options. Wine pairing is optional but I stuck with some local beers. Food was fresh and tasted very good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. My only recommendation to the owner would be to hire more staff. One server was literally running around trying to get everything done which just isn’t good. All in all I can fully recommend this place to any fellow travelers.

Homemade food feels special! Their tasting menu is a great way to explore a variety of traditional dishes, all full of rich, honest flavors. The highlights for me were the tender chicken, hearty goulash, and pork cheek—comfort food done right. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and the cozy atmosphere felt more like visiting an old friend than dining out. So we did 3 days in a row.. With a well-deserved mention in the Michelin Guide, TATI proves that simple, traditional food can be truly great!

Excellent food and great service. We had the tasting menu, with wine. It was delicious and the wines were unusual but went very well with the food. The trout and pork dishes stood out for me, the desert was marvellous too. Tip: try and book a table upstairs as downstairs was a little bit cold and has a feel of being a overflow room due to the restaurants obvious popularity. Highly recommended.

We looked for a topical Hungária. Good restaurant for dinner and we selected this one based on the menu and the Michelin review. We booked over Open Table application and everything was great. I asked for a table where we can speak and we received a nice table behind the bar. The waiter was helpful and explained each plate with about of details. He made few good recommendation and overall he was very helpful , professional and friendly. The food is very good and allow you to discover nice local flavors. You need to be prepared to spend some time between order and food arrival for each of the plates and this because the food needs time to be cooked. Fill this time with some good local wine as we did and the time will compress. Very good experience and a place I recommend you stop and discover.

Still far behind NYC and London standards food and service wise but charges high prices nonetheless. From what I understand having ordered the tasting menu, the food tries really hard to put a modern, creative twist on Central European classics, throwing in a “farm to table” brand but it’s not clear what the connections are nor do the prices feel justified (for dumpling and vegetable-based meals). Also, beware - the waiters will up charge without informing you of additional costs. The tap water is $10. I didn’t even order it but the waiter added it since I opted to not get the wine pairing (I don’t drink). I’m very disappointed and feel superbly ripped off. Lastly, I was alone and the waiter often forgot about me, having even excused himself at the end saying that he was busy serving other people. It’s quite inappropriate to say that when you got a high per bill cost out of me and if you attended to me quicker, could have turned the table even quicker. Bad attitude and service. I’m not coming back here nor do I recommend it.
