Google
I enjoyed the tablet system of ordering and paying first. Somehow they knew where we were sitting without the table number assigned and brought the meal directly to us. I had no idea how but was impressed however the system worked. Food and drinks came quick and was honestly one of the best ramen stocks I've had. The red rice was unique and tasty as well as their delicious drinks. Will definitely go back again!

Okay, so first time great service. Second time we had an issue with our order. Let the Manager at the time know, Garrett. He and the GM Derrick took care of it ( directly ) and provided exceptionally excellent service. Hands down the best Managers I have ever seen in the food industry. And the staff was pleasant and accommodating. The atmosphere is cool, modern, open and bright; very cool building and their chairs are surprisingly comfortable for being hard wood lol. Their food, diabolically delicious. I mean yes, you had ramen before, you had them all. HOWEVER, the broth is flavorful not flat and watery, the toppings are just as tasty! We had a birria ramen and a classic ramen on this visit. Just, Amazing, I can keep on with this review but I fear its going to be one of those "tldr" reviews. Bottom line, Do Not Hesitate going to TATSU RAMEN especially the one close to DTLA on Hewitt. I recommend them 1000%. Well, okay 1 kinda "eeehhh" thing is, parking is limited. But Completely worth it in my opinion. #tatsuramenbestramen

We arrived on a Sunday around 9 pm and there was no wait! Which is always good when you’re hungry haha..ordered on a tablet, paid, and was then seated. The ramen is good! The tonkotsu ramen was delicious! Although I feel it’s a little on the pricier side especially that it doesn’t come with other things that most ramens already have without paying extra. Still so delicious!

Google
Best Ramen I’ve ever had. Came here at 1am, service was amazing. Food came out fast, they gave us a round of pork buns on the house to start. Cheeky with pork was incredible. The broth really touches your soul. They cook with love!

Google
We stopped by this ramen spot for a midnight meal, and wow what a pleasant surprise! The place was spotless, neat, and spacious, which you don’t always find this late at night. You could tell the staff really takes pride in keeping things tidy and welcoming. I ordered the pork ramen, and my girlfriend got the chicken ramen. Both bowls were packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and super comforting. I did ask for mine extra spicy and she asked for no spice, but somehow both came out mild but still delicious! The broth was rich, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the presentation was on point. If you’re looking for a hidden late-night gem with quality food, great vibes, and a clean, relaxing atmosphere this is the spot. Definitely going on my list of go-to midnight meals! I only gave the service a 3 because I hate any restaurant that requires you to use a kiosk to order. Other than that this service was outstanding

Google
Bold ramen mild spiciness so so so good but not so so so SO good yk? Anyway, the Birria ramen is honestly… ok :/ egg was also cooked weird but it’s all the same to me, pork bun…great. But if i’m gonna cherry pick …therestoomanyscallionsanditsmessy. I had a good time here with my amazing handsome boyfriend but we came to the conclusion that the food is great but honestly overpriced like $4 and something cents for some more scallions… baloney. we ended up paying $70 for two bowls of ramen two sodas and one single pork bun.🥲

Came here for lunch while we visited LA. This was our first time at this location but we have been to other Tatsu Ramen places in around LA. This one by far is the most open and spacious that we have been to. It was bright and inviting. Parking is a bit of a challenge - there are some metered parking nearby with some paid lots as well. When you come in you are greeted warmly right away and directed to one of the tablets to place your order. We ordered 2 Bold and 2 Old Skool Ramen's. The family likes all the customizations you are able to do like add various toppings (and their levels), type of noodles, and spice level. After we ordered and paid we were shown to a table that was already prepared for us. We thought that was a nice touch - they set a table with waters for everyone while we were ordering. Food came out hot and tasty. The quality at Tatsu Ramen is very consistent and this place was great. I think this is not only our new favourite ramen place but our favourite location as well! Restrooms were big and clean as well. Staff were friendly. Food was great. Place is spacious and bright. Will definitely come back.

Google
I found this place by word of mouth. It’s amazing how there’s so many nice little spots in LA even if you live in the same area, you may not never know it’s there. This is one of those places for me. I’m very late to the party on this place! I had the slow cooked Bold Ramen. Absolutely delicious. The broth was 🔥the noodles were cooked perfectly. Get the egg in the soup 🍲 if you like eggs👌🏾 I also enjoyed the spicy extra chili oil and the cute cartoons on the bag! Everything was also labeled:-) Super good y’all! On the night I picked this up the place looked lively. Seems like it may be a great place to dine in too. We’ll see!

Yelp
Loved this place so many options, everything was so similar yet so different, the service was average. The vibes were also okay and comfortable,

Andrew O.

Yelp
Bomb.com!! Awesome atmosphere. Love that it's open late night. Old school ramen with the chili oil/pepper mix was delicious! No regrets. Will be back!

Yelp
My bf and I were craving ramen after a long drive to LA so we stumbled upon this place. Upon entering, it's a self service where you would order at the entrance and sit anywhere and they bring the food to you. I ordered the bold ramen with no spice while my bf ordered the same one with spice. Within a few minutes of sitting down, our ramen was already brought to us! We thought it would take longer but it was surprisingly really fast. The broth was flavorful and the pork and egg was also cooked to perfection! The interior also looked nice and I really liked the art on the wall. The bathrooms were also super clean. In terms of service, it was really good. They were very attentive and came by every now and then to ask if we were okay and needed anything. Definitely coming back again in the future!
google avatar

Deisy R.

Yelp
The ordering process was really efficient, as soon as you walk in there is a kiosk where you can place your order and you are then directed to a table. Service was very friendly - water and our food came rather quickly. The restaurant itself is spacious. I had the soup-less ramen and would get this again in the future. We also had the chicken and rice bowl which was quite flavorful.

Yelp
tatsu ramen has always been the go to spot. I've come to this location a few times now and am always seated quite fast regardless of how busy they are. It's a cute and colorful joint, with good music playing in the background. i always get their bold ramen with chicken and it never fails to disappoint. i've noticed over time they've added different sides - i've only tried their gyozas and they're pretty good. I wish the brought back the ramen burger, it's been years since i've had it and i still think about it to this day lol.
google avatar

Yelp
Self order on the tablets at entrance. Then, they will bring your order to the table. The service was great - clean tables, bussed within a reasonable time frame, order brought on a tray, wearing gloves and offered to bring additional condiments like garlic cream. The place looks fairly new and well-maintained with beautiful wooden fixtures, wooden tables and minimalist wooden and aesthetically pleasing chairs. They also have a long counter looking into the kitchen with several stools. They have some music going and colorful paintings on canvas on the side wall. I got the Hippie Ramen with gluten free ramen (happy it was an option despite it meant +$6) and it was delicious! I wish there was a little more in terms of portion size though. Most other ramen places I've been to serve ramen with just an inch below the rim but they leave 2inches. Overall, great spot with fine menu offerings and clean space and attentive staff.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Delicious every time. Service is always fast everyone has great energy. The vibe inside is nice, they have great seating. Parking can be a challenge depending on the day you go but nonetheless it's a great spot! Go to's: -Garlic edamame -pork bun -bold ramen (sides: mushrooms, bamboo shoots, spinach) (My boyfriend gets his super spicy the flavor of that one is really good too)
google avatar

Roni V.

Yelp
Can we say Yum! It's been a while since I enjoyed a bowl of Ramen Noodles so I'm very happy to have chosen this place for a late lunch ramen craving! I went with the Old Skool which was so tasty with a nice thick broth, and I ordered spicy chili oil and paste which made it perfect! Others ordered the Birria Ramen (very birria flavored if that's what you like) and the Bold Ramen which they really enjoyed as well. I really liked the vibe and Japanese art and decor and liked the self-ordering process via the kiosks and self-seating; it made everything move along swiftly. I don't know how the staff know where you sit but they just do! And they were all friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely return for more!

Yelp
We saw that it was next door to happies hand made and came here to share a bowl of bold ramen after we ate at happies. Order from the tablet and they will bring you the bowl of ramen. Love the broth! The space was clean and the staff was attentive. Ramen are basically $20 a bowl.

Kronos9816 ..

Yelp
Let's start with how cool it is to do self serve ramen great feature Service was lightning fast waited less than. 5 mins Real home feel like a traditional ramen restaurant all around top spot for ramen late or not
google avatar

Vincent T.

Yelp
Ordered the bold ramen. Broth was full of flavor with a nice kick of spice. Thin ramen perfectly cooked - nice and firm. Cha siu nice and tender. Overall , really recommend.
google avatar

Kristina N.

Yelp
Derrick the GM was super friendly and attentive. My friends and I love coming here for late night eats after being in LA. The egg is my favorite part it's marinated so well and jammy.
google avatar

Yelp
The food always slaps at Tatsu and this place is no exception. Service was quick and I like that you order at a kiosk and the food is brought out to your table. The setup was a bit confusing as I think it is a shared food hall between Tatsu and Happy's Homemade Chicken but the kiosks are distinct and there is a partition semi separating the restaurants. That's said, I was confused because people were eating both items on both sides of the partition. The vibes were great as the food hall itself was modern yet industrial. They play good music and the restaurant is spacious and well kept.

Alexandra N.

Yelp
The ramen here is amazing with the pork broth they use it's so delicious and tasty! The service was quick also to bring out the food ! It does get pretty popular so sometimes you may have to wait a little to be seated, like ten minutes. I've been here 3 times and the food hits just right. The tables are clean and the vibes are just right when you go late at night lol
google avatar

Rosa H.

Yelp
This was a nice casual spot to go for dinner. They have a self-service Kiosk so it would be a good place for groups if you want to pay individually. The ramen was delicious but nothing over the top that stood out. I like my ramen with all the fixin's so my bowl quickly added up when I included the egg, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots One thing I was a little disappointed about was the beer - I love the frosty glass and ice cold bottle that Sapporo usually comes with, but the glass nor the beer bottle were that cold.

Yelp
Decent ramen for not a decent price. Came here late Friday after the bar to soak up some booze. Location is good with typical Arts District parking. We got a few ramens, the cheeky and the bold along with an order of the gyudon. Ramen was good. Smaller portions, IMHO, but good quality. Tons of side options available so you can easily customize your own. Space was clean and ordering was done through a digital kiosk. Food came out quick and service was fine. Price was kinda steep for ramen. Add on a few toppings and you can easily find yourself with a $30 bowl. I get they're in more "upscale" areas but noodles shouldn't be this much (even in this economy). I can easily get something comparable or better for a more reasonable price. Overall a decent spot if you're hankering for ramen, but with Little Tokyo right around the corner you might be better off heading there for your noods.

Yelp
the vibe of this little eatery is superb!! the music and decore add so much to the meal! I love how you order outside and are able to completely customize your ramen, adding or substituting as much as your hearts content! The staff were incredible friendly, very fast, and all together such a pleasure to be helped by! my Ramen (the original tonkatsu) was soooooo delicious! the pork was expertly cooked to a savory scrumptious bites, the broth so full of flavor I wish I could just forever have access to it, the noodles were perfectly made and slurped up so easily! I am more than happy with my meal and am so happy I got to try this very very good ramen place!
google avatar

Yelp
This Tatsu is my favorite! Their chicken rice and tonkotsu ramen is delectable! The ambience inside of the restaurant was super chill and a great vibe.
google avatar

Abby G.

Yelp
I came here recently and it was a bit busy when I went, it look like there was only server on the floor. When you come in you order through a kiosk and then they bring your food to your table. Service is a bit weird... they don't really check up on you or anything. Seems like a food haul type of restaurant..... lol. I wouldn't come back. Food was okay.
google avatar

Elvin H.

Yelp
came to eat here sunday 10/19 with my friend the food was amazing! I love their veggie friend rice and their cheeky ramen. the service and ambience is amazing. Garette was very friendly and helpful and Kassi was very attentive and funny. definitely gonna be back here again :)

Sean Y.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of this ramen chain so I was looking forward to dine at this new location. I was greeted by the female server and she's been very delightful and friendly asking me if I had any questions and had any allergies. It was something I havent experienced in any of the other locations. So I was very pleased. The foods are always great and impeccable. The clean ambiance and the spacious wooden interior with the open kitchen made me feel very comfortable. This location may become my favorite :D
google avatar

Bonny L.

Yelp
I went here Saturday night after an event in la and this place does close really late, 3am on Friday and Saturdays! It was my first time checking this place out. Place was very special and clean food was really good as well! Got the best selling ramens the staff recommended. Servers were very nice top tier! Only thing is the place is located at an interesting location, in dtla arts district. But definitely keeping this place in bookmarks and returning soon! Also recommend!
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
I have been to other Tatsu locations so I decided to try this one. Parking spot is very tiny and I was afraid that someone might ding my door. So many good reviews must be non Asian people. This was not all that impressive to my pallet. I ordered the birria Ramen. I had birria Ramen in the past from Mexican food restaurants and they were delicious. This place doesn't have good birria nor the good noodles. I was disappointed. Service was very good but food is a mediocre at its best. I would rather buy a ramen from Japanese market and add my own birria consome from Mexican restaurant to make it regit. This was not it.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Ok... pretty awesome place in DTLA. Parking no problem. I got the bold ramen, regular noodles, and first level of the spicy. I do wish I got it more spicy, but testing a new place to know what the spice levels are, I tend on the side of light spice then work up from there. The food, yeah a bit on the pricy side, but IMHO worth it!!! You get A lot of food! But, the best things about my experience was the service!!! As I walked in, there are digital screens you order from and a server named Jenny was AWESOME. They helped me on how to order to asking my tastes and everything! ThankYOU Jenny! They are a main reason why I'll be back! I went on a Wednesday at 6pm and it was nice and empty! I like that, I don't like crowds :) the atmosphere was friendly inviting and comfortable. I do plan on going back. Thanks for some great food and great experience!!!
google avatar

Leila T.

Yelp
Service is super nice and friendly, menu is awesome, fast and easy check out ! Would recommend always
google avatar

Christina P.

Yelp
It was our first time here. We liked the fact that it was one of the few Ramen spots still open late. Parking was easily available. When you walk in, you order on a kios and you're able to build your own Ramen bowl. It's fairly easy to use. A few appetizer selections like the edamame and gyozas. After placing our order, we were sat down right away. Derrick the manager was really helpful and friendly. More of a new aged, trendy spot. Can come casual. Very clean and spacious. The food was decent. Would definitely come back for a late night bowl of Ramen.
google avatar

Dominic E.

Yelp
What I really enjoyed is the ease of which the order process occurs as well as the speedy and polite service. The ramen was served separately because I chose to build my own which is cool. Now I don't feel obligated to ask for modifications and I get exactly what I want, how I want it. The traditional noodles as well as the vegan noodles were both amazing. Great flavor of the broths as well as the chicken, green onions and the condiments were all fresh and tasted amazing. Parking is an issue but it's LA so I wouldn't expect immediately to find a spot when you arrive. It's right past Urth Cafe right before 4th Street. Enjoy!
google avatar

Skyleur R.

Yelp
The service was phenomenal! So fast and easy! Menu was easy to navigate and the staff were there to help. The food was perfectly seasoned and flavored. The mural on the wall and the music, tied in with the chattering of the restaurant made it a well visited destination.
google avatar

Itzayana L.

Yelp
One of the best ramen spots I've been to in a long time! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with great music playing in the background and a super clean, modern space that makes you want to stay a while. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they really make you feel at home. We ordered the Birria Ramen and the Bold Ramen, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the broth had that deep, comforting quality you crave in a great bowl of ramen. The Birria Ramen was especially unique and flavorful. It's definitely a must-try. Everything from the vibe to the service to the food was on point. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
google avatar

Aldrick C.

Yelp
This location is the most amazing Ramen spot in Los Angeles. I will be taking all of my friends here. I've been to the Santa Monica location and the West Hollywood location and they don't compare to this one. This one blows my mind and blows my taste buds out of this park! The service was amazing. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive and the general manager, Derrick, was extremely friendly and even introduced himself afterwards to make sure I had a great experience. All that with a wonderful ambience and some anime playing in the background as I enjoyed my tasty Ramen and Ramune, completed the best Ramen experience of my life!! Tatsu is epic!! if you haven't already, you gotta try it!
google avatar

Rodolfo G.

Yelp
Quick service thanks to an easy to use kiosk and friendly staff. Was craving ramen and got good vibes and amazing food. Shoutout Derrick for being so attentive!
google avatar

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Tried Tatsu Ramen tonight and OH EM PHUCKING GEEEEEE!!!!!! I ordered the Cheeky Ramen and added Woodear Mushrooms, Fried Onions, and Chicken. Listen. The broth alone was enough to make me realize they had a home run but when I tasted the curly noodles....my Lordt!! I added a heap of chili paste and a dollop of soy sauce and was in heaven. The service was quick and the restaurant was PACKED! It's located in a cutesy part of the fashion district. The atmosphere is lively and the music selection is on point!! My date ordered the Hippie Ramen with Tofu and he inhaled it I'd do some interesting things to get back to this Ramen. One last thing- the portions are pretty large (for me) so I'd consider sharing a bowl if you go with someone and you want to eat the same thing.
google avatar

Maily N.

Yelp
This service was amazing! We had the best ramen tonight. I got the cheeky ramen with pork and it was perfectly seasoned, flavorful, cooked perfectly and everything I needed for a late night!!

Yelp
Tatsu Ramen has always been good and cool to see they are opened one in the Arts District. Came on Sunday morning and it was fairly empty, I believe its currently in soft opening since I saw many grand opening date fliers. You can order via the kiosk in the front but I ended up sitting down and having one of the servers take my order. I tried out these items this time. Juicy Pork Bun - I really enjoyed this and was a great appetizer. It comes with 1 bun but it was loaded with pork belly. I guess you could share one since its packed with meat but wouldn't be surprised as well if everyone got their own. It was tasty. (4.5/5) Birria Ramen - I LOVED this. It's not your traditional ramen but if you love Birria Tacos, they do a great job imitating the taste with ramen. Meat was tender and flavors were on point. It does not come with an Tatsu egg and I would recommend paying the $3 something for it because that egg is out of this world. (5/5) Bold Ramen - This ramen was a classic basic ramen but it was delicious as well. We got it with cha shu with medium spiciness. It wasn't that spicy but they gave us extra chili oil on the side to add as much as we liked. Its overall a solid bowl of ramen that you can't go wrong with. Comes with the infamous egg! (4.5/5) Overall, really hope this place picks up when the grand opening happens because the food is good. They have plenty of seats so I could see it getting full eventually during the dinner time. Parking - I always hate finding parking in LA and this isn't too different. I parked at Little Tokyo and walked a mile to get here in the Arts District. They did have some street parking around (especially Sunday should be free) otherwise you're just going to have to find street parking or pay a nearby lot.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Tatsu always hits the spot, especially as the weather gets cooler! They have a brand new location in the Arts District in Downtown LA and I absolutely love the space here. They have an open kitchen, a wide seating area, and of course, delicious, ramen and appetizers. What I love about Tatsu is their broth and their thin noodles, as well as all the topping that you can include in your ramen. It can get a bit pricey with all the toppings that you can add, but I think it's definitely worth it especially since I love adding a ramen egg and Bamboo shoots. Their pork fried rice with super tasty, and their pork bun was packed with meat. They have a wide variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, and I love the peach tea and sake drink that they had. Tatsu is in my top three spots take a ramen in LA so I highly recommend checking it out. This new location might be my favorite one, so definitely make your way over there to enjoy a delicious bowl of noodles!
google avatar

Olivia L.

Yelp
I came during the grand opening weekend around noon. there was a small line about 15 minutes wait. ordered on the tablet by the entrance and got seated at the bar right by the open kitchen. i liked this concept. the kitchen looked squeaky clean. The food came out quickly and the service was prompt. I got the cheeky ramen (chicken broth) & it was 50% off during the grand opening weekend. Fried rice was full price. My favorite was the fried rice. Though the ramen was creamy, chicken was perfectly tender, I don't think the ramen is my taste. It was a bit too salty for me. I would come back for the fried rice.
google avatar

Joshua Y.

Yelp
I visited Tatsu Ramen at 11 am and ordered the Birria Ramen and chicken gyoza. Upon arrival, I was pleased to find the restaurant clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The waitstaff greeted me and helped me use the kiosk, which was nice. The birria meat was tender and flavorful, and the toppings, including fresh cilantro and onions, added a nice touch, and the noodles were good. However, while each part was good, I didn't think the combination itself came together very well, I felt myself eating either only the meat or the noodles in each bite instead of wanting to have it together. The fried dumplings were just okay. The fry wasn't exactly soggy but it definitely wasn't crispy, and the filling inside wasn't filled completely, lots of air inside. My friend ordered the gluten free noodles, but then after tasting it decided he didn't want the gluten free and requested to change, which they did immediately and at no extra cost. Very kind of the waitstaff. Overall, the place is clean, the service is good, but the food was kinda mid.

Yelp
Service is amazing! Tastu is a great late night spot -- open until 3am. Food is amazing; great options.
google avatar

Hailey O.

Yelp
Came here after a concert to have dinner with a friend. We were pleasantly greeted by Garrett, who was incredibly welcoming and helpful! He walked us through the ordering process at the kiosk and answered all of our questions. The ramen was very delicious including rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and fresh toppings that hit the spot after a long night out. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, making it a great place to wind down. Service was quick and friendly, and the staff clearly cared about the experience. Would definitely come back again and I recommend to friends who are looking to eat in the area!

Yelp
Birria ramen - mind blown! This restaurant prepares masterpieces! A must visit if you're in Arts District.
google avatar

Jasmin H.

Yelp
Conveniently located with easy parking options. The Ramen look all good. The one I ordered was delicious but it was somewhat salty. You have to order at an automat which is a little bit tedious. Other than that it is fast service. Clean facilities.
google avatar

Seohyun P.

Yelp
Ramen was not bad. Just typical Japanese style ramen. I like the noodles they use -- on the thinner side and less chewy. Pretty filling & heavy. The restaurant is pretty spacious.

Melanie B.

Yelp
Best Ramen in the city. Excellent service! This location is super chill and clean. I love the vibe and atmosphere here. Their noodles are the best along with their toppings and rice. I would recommend this spot to anyone who loves there ramen.
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
I am sooooo thankful for Tatsu. THANK YOU for having gluten-free broth & noodles that is absolutely DELICIOUS. The staff were very helpful too. This location is a cute place and I will be back.
google avatar

Raul L.

Yelp
Tried the bold and the birria ramen! Both were great in their own way. The birria had thicker noodles and the Mexican beef but the Bold ramens spice level (one below the spiciest) and pork protein was my favorite. Great service, clean, and good music.
google avatar

Prissy P.

Yelp
Back againnnnn!!! As stated before. I loveeeeee this location. Staff is so friendly and helpful. They come and check on you to make sure everything is alright but are not overbearing. The design of the restaurant is really cool and the bathrooms are always clean. I always get my same order, Hippie Ramen, and my fiancé gets her usual Bold Ramen, but this time we brought my friend to try it and he fell in loveeeeee. As always I'll be backkkkk. Thanks Tatsu Arts District.
google avatar

Kayla N.

Yelp
I love that this place is open late! I have been to the sawtelle location plenty of times but it was my first time at the arts district location. They have a variety ramen bowls and sides to choose from. We ordered two bold ramens with one with pork and one with chicken and the new gyudon beef bowl. The servers here are super attentive. Victor was nice to bring us utensils and napkins before our food came. And when we were served out food they offered some condiments (chili powder and ponzu lime sauce) Great late night spot!

Mona A.

Yelp
Friendly service, tasty ramen that's fresh/made to order, and a clean establishment :)
