Stopped by for a quick dinner. I was instantly greeted by a host & sat at the bar. Tiffany was my waitress & she was exceptional. She was patient when I asked for more time. She was knowledgeable when I asked about menu favorites. I tried their Spicy Ramen, very flavorful & not too spicy. The tempura mushrooms were very tasty with the sauce provided. The Cowboy sushi roll tasted fresh & like a light snack. Tiffany kept checking on me. She is very pretty with a great smile & personality. She made the dining experience there superior compared to other Ramen spots.

The food here was good and the service as well. I liked the chicken teriyaki rice bowl. They only gave 1 piece of broccoli, which seemed odd for my friends and I. My friend ordered the Tokyo fried rice, and they barely put any chicken in there. The ramen was good, tho.

We were greeted and seated immediately on a Friday evening. It was incredibly hot in this restaurant, almost to the point of sweating just sitting there. They use a QR code for the menu. We got the gyoza as an appetizer. They were okay, I wish it came with more dipping sauce. The peach sweet tea is really good. I ordered the miso ramen. It was also okay, I’m glad I tried it and learned I don’t like corn in my ramen. My boyfriend ordered the creamy chicken ramen with extra noodles and a lobster tail. He said it was pretty good but also learned he doesn’t like corn in his ramen either.

Google
I had a fantastic experience at this ramen restaurant. The selection of ramen bowls is impressive, and they also offer a good variety of starters and sushi. Personally, I loved the soft shell bao buns and the gyoza ramen — they were absolutely delicious! Moreover, the service has consistently been superb every time we've visited. We will continue to visit!

Google
It was my first time visiting this place. I'm always looking for a great Spicy California Roll but rarely find a worthy one. This one was great! The Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box was very flavorful - I loved the chicken and the tempura veggies! The service was fast and friendly too.

Google
This is my favorite ramen house around. Always consistent with the quality and flavors. A must try if you've never had ramen. It's hands down the best in the OKC metro area. Plus they have sushi, unlike other ramen places...

Google
First time here so I got the standard Tatsumaki Ramen. The broth was very rich. The pork was tender and juicy. Everything blended well together. Very traditional. Very good. I added a little bit of their chili paste to spice it up and it took the ramen to a whole new level. Highly recommend

Google
Stopped by for lunch while passing through Norman. Our server was good and the food was also good. We started with Gyoza which was good. We split a Spicy Miso Ramen bowl and it was delicious. The veggie roll that we ordered had tempura sweet potato, avocado and cucumber. Some of the sweet potato was hard where it wasn't cooked long enough but overall it was still good. Very good food for a great price.

Yelp
I've been coming here for at least over a year. I love their food. The spicy edamame, creamy chicken ramen + chilibomb, Tokyo fried rice, salmon sashimi, sushi, The Woowoo drink, spicy miso etc. it's all great food! The staff has always been welcoming, attentive and the service is pretty fast even when they're slammed. The pricing is good too and the atmosphere is nice! I know they're getting ready to do some renovations and I'm excited for them. I highly recommend making this one of your restaurants in Norman as regular rotation. Shout out to Taemoor, Thati and Kevin! Thank you all for always being wonderful!

Yelp
Norman does have some good places to eat and pretty good variety. Tatsumaki Ramen & Lounge is one of them. I like the spicy tantan ramen at this place. It's a tonkotsu style ramen, my favorite type of ramen. I love the runny egg, super yummy to me but some people may not like it. Quality very comparable to Tamashii. The spicy tuna roll was a little small. However, it was only $7 so I can't really complain. It was good but also a very basic roll, nothing special really. I would highly recommend ramen over sushi at this place. It has a decent bar area. Service was good. Slightly less than 50% occupancy on this particular Saturday noon hour.

Yelp
Tatsumaki is genuinely one of my favorite restaurants in the world. This may sound unexpected for Norman, but I have not yet found better ramen anywhere else! When I come to Norman, I look forward to stopping by and always know the experience will be great. I am vegetarian, and their creamy veggie ramen is my go-to. The broth is so flavorful and they load it with toppings. They also have sriracha in case you want to add a bit of spice to it. My favorite appetizer is the vegetable tempura, it is so good, crispy, and light. Service is decent, but the ramen is what they are known for. The ambiance is a little dim and perfect for date night! My only call-out is they offer a 50 cent "chili bomb" to add some spice to your ramen. The ingredients are not listed on the menu, and I recently found out that there is dried shrimp in it, which was disappointing. I will still always go back when I'm in the area (and dream of their noodles!)

Yelp
The last time I went here (about four years ago) the food was a bit disappointing and so I hadn't been back until yesterday. They've expanded their space since then. The food this time was delicious and they have free refills for soda drinks. I'm glad I gave them a chance again.

Yelp
First time trying this place. Wife picked up 3 rolls to go. She did say it was packed and I hear the ramen is very good. This review is only for the sushi rolls, which were very underwhelming. The taste was good, but they are so small. We usually get the Spicy Cowboy rolls at Koto in Norman or GoGo in Moore. Both places are about the same price and both Koto and GoGo are way bigger than these. We were very disappointed and won't be going back. For the money we will stick with our favorites.

Yelp
This place was absolutely amazing. The only downside, was how hot it was in the restaurant. It has an open kitchen, so that made it hot. We had a couple of appetizers, edamame and takoyaki. Very good, just let them cool off a couple of minutes, because when you get them they're like eating molten lava. Then there's the ramen. I had the seafood ramen and my son had the special pork ramen. The broth with seafood ramen was very rich and creamy. It would make for a great comfort food. The broth for the pork ramen would have been good, but my son put a special chili blend in his. It made it super spicy. I tried just a small taste and it was way too spicy for me. It was so spicy that my son had sweat running down his face. Finished the dinner some mango mochi. I would have given 5 stars, but was just so hot in there.

Yelp
The food here is ok. It's not the best ramen I've ever had and the broth is definitely lacking in flavor and richness but it hits the spot on a cold day. The service here is pretty fast and they will accommodate requests (ex, extra chili oil, make vegan) Since it's the only ramen/Japanese place in Norman it's always crowded and filled with loud students. There isn't a lot of seating so prepare to wait a while.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for Tan Tan Ramen. I miss living in Oklahoma because Tatsumaki Ramen & Lounge is there. This is a must try place! Pick up service is quick even though they're always busy. The environment for eating in is chill, the employees are kind, the lighting is dim. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Great service, great food! Stopped by on a whim, and noticed lots of foot traffic coming in and out. It has to be good, right? I got seated, ordered a Sapporo, and started the meal with shrimp shumai. It was a little more doughy than others I've had, but I gave this a pass. Now for the ramen, I tried the Tastsumaki and added a bit of their chili bomb (a chili flake paste, served on the side) and it kicked up the heat. Just a note: the chili bomb is HOT. So add a little at a time. The ramen broth was fantastic. The pork was tender and the egg was perfectly cooked. The staff was very friendly and was overall a great experience.

Kaydi W.

Yelp
Clean, typically friendly service, cool vibe inside, good ramen, sushi, and drinks! Although the sushi always seems to have a wait and takes a lot longer to make and come out vs the ramen.
google avatar

Adilene B.

Yelp
Good food, good service, and cute place to have dinner! The chicken is definitely a must try!

Elva S.

Yelp
Everything is awesome, the service, the food. YUMMY. My sister and my niece had to go again and again before returning from their vacation
google avatar

Autumn W.

Yelp
Great place to go had our waiter checking on us often the ramen was great the sushi was ok. There's no AC and it's 92° out so that wasn't the best but still had a good time!

Bill P.

Yelp
Outstanding broth. The broth is really the heart of a good bowl of a ramen and this broth is something special. I live in Los Angeles and have traveled to Japan on numerous occasions and can say that the ramen here is just as comforting as a bowl in Tokyo. Wish I had a bigger appetite to try other menu options but I stick with what I know.

Yelp
This is by far Norman's best ramen and sushi bar. Fast service, plus staff is always helpful and kind. Also, I love the artwork inside. The Gluten free options never miss. I drive from the other side of town, and pass two other options for ramen with no hesitation. Thanks for the great food and service. !

Yelp
Worst ramen of my life. First of all, the broth, which in my opinion is the most important part of the ramen, is so bland that I had to add salt, soy sauce and chili pepper to give it some life. Also the color looks like they just add milk to a clear broth, tasted like it too. The noodle was decent, egg was a little mushy. But they don't have scallion! I went on a Saturday at 1pm. Peak lunch hour. It's a ramen house and they don't have scallion! The service was really friendly but I won't return.

Yelp
The Spicy Tan Tan Ramen is amazing! Big shoutouts to the gentleman and server (Jenny) who advised me to also add Miso Paste to give the broth a little more texture and spice! The Baby Gecko sushi roll was absolutely amazing and i am grateful they recommended that as well! My wife got Tokyo fried rice and the rice was nice and sticky and the chicken is well cooked! The green tea mochi was a great finish to the food! The environment of the place is awesome and the art on one of the walls is very cool! Music has good energy and the layout of the place is awesome. Jenny did an absolutely amazing job at ensuring we were taken care of and checked in often! She displayed good patience in how long my wife and i took to order. The food came quick as well which was great! Overall a wonderful experience and i'll definitely return.

Yelp
Great sushi and poke bowls, in addition to their amazing ramen! We love sitting at the bar with a Malibu Black & Sprite, and Asahi!

Yelp
This is a hoppin' little place with an atmosphere that felt youthful and energetic the minute we walked in. It had just gone past noon and a crowd was already gathering on a Saturday. We were taken care of promptly and chose to sit at the bar near the kitchen entrance. You have to scan a QR code to access their menu through your phone. What a brillaint idea! Green and germs free. But as the husband and I have done our research the night before we didn't need a menu, even though I had a really hard time deciding, we knew what we wanted by heart. Our server was pleasant and efficient. Our appetiser came out quickly and our bowls of ramen followed in a timely manner. The buns were buried under a huge pile of shredded lettuce so the husband was somewhat perplexed as to how to tackle it. It didn't bother me, however, I love my greens. The steaming hot broth was rich and creamy, quite an unusual consistency for me. We both loved the chashu. The ramen was firm and chewy and the portion generous. I'm so glad I held back from ordering other appetisers and saved them for our next visit. I already have my eyes on the takoyaki and tonkatsu rice!

Yelp
We went in one a Friday night and got seated at the bar. It was pretty crowded and very hot and stuffy so the best atmosphere. I ordered 2 sushi rolls which were pretty cheap and my boyfriend ordered ramen. Everything was delicious! Pretty fast service too.

Katelyn C.

Yelp
The server was so sweet and helpful. Management is NOT! Gyoza took 20 minutes - chicken fried rice took exactly 1 hour. Everyone got their ramen before I got my flavorless white rice that is supposed to be fried ..... we got here @5:09pm. Everyone got their food at random times. No excuse honestly. The server tried to comp the rice for me and management told her no. spicy edamame was good! Crunchy roll was really good! Ramen was ok- everything else sucked/ so did the dumb chairs and table set up.

Drew A.

Yelp
Need to go back here soon!!! It was so good when I had it. I def need to try out some more stuff on the menu. Try it out when you have the chance!

Yelp
This is the fourth or fifth time i've been and i'm never disappointed. Came with a friend around 7:30 on Friday. We were seated immediately and taken care of. We ordered dumplings to start which were really good, then the tempura ramen. The portions were good sized for a single person and definitely enough to take home extra. The dishes are always seasoned well and taste great. We were sat next to people but table felt like we had our own space. The room is large so there's a lot of option to sit. Bar, Window and traditional table. Reasonably priced and fast service. Must stop by if you're in the norman area!

Yelp
The best place in Norman! We go all the time. Great food. Fresh and always good. My 10 year old even loves it!

Tj B.

Yelp
Loved the Tofu fried rice and Chicken Bento box! Also ordered the special made spice on the side. So good! Great service and ambiance!

Yelp
Tatsumaki is an all-around solid ramen restaurant that I'm thankful to have in Norman. Gone are the days of driving up to the city to fill that ramen craving! One of the things I like about Tatsumaki is their very extensive menu. From unique app's to ramen to poke to more specialty ramen to sushi - Tatsumaki is sure to have something for everyone. We've tried the takoyaki and spicy edamame, and they were both delicious. For ramen, we've gotten the Tatsumaki, miso gyoza, spicy tantan, chilled ramen, and shoyu seafood. Everything we've had here has been good! We've ordered the chili bomb for ramen as well and enjoyed that - just make sure you add the chili bomb in small amounts before dumping it all in! You may regret that.. I know we have! Service is generally pretty attentive, too. This isn't my favorite ramen restaurant, but we like it alright, and we'll keep coming back! We still gotta try the sushi and poke!
google avatar

Jonathan L.

Yelp
First time here. The place was crazy busy, which was a good sign. Sat at the bar and they had the menus via qr code. Ordered the Tatsumaki ramen and added a chili bomb. My waiter Tom warned me it was pretty spicy but I was up for the challenge. And oh boy was it spicy! Usually I'll put the entire chili bomb if it's a different ramen place. Overall the food was great and the service was excellent thanks to Tom. I'm never in Norman but I'll definitely have to make the trip again.
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere! Ramen was great quality and had good flavor! The server at the bar was on her game!
google avatar

Nequel B.

Yelp
Very busy lunch crowd. But as always the food was tasty. Sat in front of the window with another person and it wasn't too bad we could still hold conversation and the music playing wasn't too loud. Our waitress was helpful but not too overbearing.
google avatar

Rosanne C.

Yelp
Food was great! We had the spicy edamame, fried gyoza, pork ramen, shrimp tempura roll sushi, spicy ramen and veggie tempura, Will definitely be back when in Norman.
google avatar

Chris I.

Yelp
Best ramen in Norman! The service at Tatsumaki is always on point and they are great about making sure you are well taken care of. It can get a little loud in there when they are busy but it is usually pretty easy to have a conversation while enjoying the deliciousness!
google avatar

Yelp
Soooo a little bit of a late review update, but I needed to share something that happened earlier this year. I decided it was time to propose, and the management and staff were oh so helpful to make my proposal come to life! They prepared a special plate upon request. My now fiancée and I come back here regularly, as this is the place it started after all!

Joshua W.

Yelp
Great ramen and especially great chashu. I would come here on a cold day for lunch or dinner or both. You can't go wrong with the Tatsumaki ramen. They have amazing eggs and you can't go wrong with Mandu too. The service is very fast. Ambiance is also great!

Carl M.

Yelp
Great food with excellent choices. Food portions are worth the price. Service is always quick and friendly. Expansion looks great.
google avatar

Yelp
Love love LOVE! Delicious California roll and perfect ramen! Sizing is very plentiful and plating is put together! Will be coming back!
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Love this place! Been here several times and always great food. My favorites are the California roll and gyoza.
google avatar

Vanta B.

Yelp
If you want a good seared ahi salad skip this place. Shrimp dumplings were good, at least.
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
We love, love, love this place. My husband and I have fallen in love with this place. We have been eating her at least once a week. Great ramen, great gyoza, and great service. It can get a little crowded and loud. But overall we love coming here.
google avatar

Johnny T.

Yelp
We went for the ramen. But we will return for the sushi! Don't get me wrong, the ramen is great. But the sushi was outstanding! Cute little off campus restaurant with fast friendly service.

HungryGirl M.

Yelp
Food is so good here. We usually go to Jinya but thought we'd give this a try, different and better. The broth was so flavorful! Ithe ambiance is okay, not great but not bad either. Glad this place is close!
google avatar

Hakeem I.

Yelp
Went there today for lunch with me and a coworker. Upon arrival we were seated quickly, but we did not receive service until me, and my guest spoke up and said something the waiter was not knowledgeable about items on the Or he didn't care to really explain it to us. After we received our food, the coworkers kept staring at us from behind the counter, where they was preparing the food as if we was not wanted so we just asked for two to go containers and left. my overall experience there today was not pleasant and lunch today was kind of ruined
google avatar

Kara B.

Yelp
Great food! Good service. Nice atmosphere. Pickup orders have always been perfect, too.
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Some of the best ramen I've ever had! The staff is ALWAYS friendly! I love how the owner lets the staff wear pretty much what they want because the restaurant was a tad warm! So I can imagine those servers and chefs being hot as they work! We always get seated very quickly too! The bar is very very nice too!
google avatar

Lawrence C.

Yelp
First time guest. I thought it was ok. Ordered the Shoyu Seafood Ramen. It probably would have been good if it was hotter. When I order a soup dish - I want it hot, not lukewarm. My beer was not really cold either so I won't give it a higher rating. Service was good however and the place was packed. Price was reasonable IF my food was hot. It was not. Will I return? Possibly in the long term.

Garrett N.

Yelp
Food was okay service was nice prices were so so. Tried both sushi and ramen staff was nice
google avatar

Genevieve F.

Yelp
They have QR code's to order with and apparently I'm getting good at it, because I was even able to take pictures of the menu. Kudos to moi! I got the veggie miso ramen with an egg and it was really good. The egg came out while but it was fairly easy to eat. The veggies were good and the Ramen was full of flavor and fairly popped in my mouth. I also ordered a Tiger Beer from Singapore. Tiger Beer is produced by Heineken and is one of the top 10 beers in Singapore. It would definitely get my vote!
google avatar

Tracy C.

Yelp
I really enjoy this Ramen place - the atmosphere is fun, cool wall art and seating, the Ramen is good fun drinks and it's next to a little Asian market.

Rickey O.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service. These were the exact words that kept echoing in my mind as I left the restaurant. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere. The tantalizing aroma of various dishes wafted through the air, instantly making my mouth water. As I settled into my seat, I couldn't help but appreciate the attention to detail in the restaurant's decor. The soft lighting and elegant table settings created a welcoming ambiance. The menu was filled with a wide array of culinary delights, each sounding more appetizing than the last. After perusing the menu, I finally made my choices and eagerly awaited the arrival of my meal. It didn't take long for the server to bring out my order, and I was immediately impressed by the presentation. The dishes were beautifully arranged, showcasing the chef's expertise and creativity. With the first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. The flavors danced on my palate, each bite more delectable than the last. The ingredients were fresh, and the dishes were perfectly seasoned, showcasing the chef's mastery of flavors. It was evident that great care had been taken in preparing each dish, resulting in a truly remarkable dining experience.

Yelp
Good food most of the time. The fried rice is annoying though because they randomly decide to either mix in egg with the rice or for some reason fry it separately then just splat the whole thing on top of the rice...? Who would order that?
