Visiting from NYC - Love this place. The corn and spinach shakshuka was simply delicious. So rich yet so refreshing. Also love the breakfast sandwich. Iced latte was really good too. The restaurant is beautiful. Lots of window and sunlight. Will definitely come back if I’m in DC again.

Having breakfast here is definitely a great choice, especially if you’re coming with someone special. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a cozy, vintage atmosphere—simple, clean, and full of charm. It felt like stepping into a romantic little café in an old movie. We sat by the window, sunlight pouring in, sipping on some seriously good coffee—it was rich, smooth, and felt like the kind of coffee that could fix your whole day. The food was simple but satisfying, perfect for a slow morning together. The only thing I wish was better? The restroom. It’s really tiny and a bit too cramped for comfort. A little more space (and maybe a mirror with soft lighting?) would definitely make it feel more welcoming. But overall, it’s a lovely spot for a breakfast date. We left with full bellies and happy hearts.

Google
I’m really shocked by how many brunch choices there are to choose from on their menu! They have an assortment of desserts and pastries showcased by the register, and a designated coffee bar. There is an ample amount of cafe style seating as well! I ordered the short rib and eggplant over couscous, and my bf got the croquette madam. Both are exquisite. Our coffees were also amazing; I had an iced vanilla oatmilk latte, and my bf had a mocha (which has real chocolate melted in!). This is definitely a spot worth checking out!

Google
Tatte Bakery & Cafe has simple but beautiful interior. The breads, pastries, and cakes are displayed in an organized way, allowing customers to have a clear view of the selection. I got the plain, chocolate, and pistachio croissants, kouign-amann, and iced ginger-date oat milk latte. The pastries tasted good. They had good flakiness and were buttery. My drink had strong ginger taste than date. It was not bad. The bakery gets crowded and busy fast. I would come back here again.

Google
A very nice bakery and cafe! I had the spiced shrimp salad with a Tatte House Latte - both were very good! I took home a pastry that was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is cute and more upscale but still very casual and inviting. Plenty of people were enjoying a latte and working in the cafe. Would definitely recommend!

Google
I recently visited Tatte Bakery and was immediately struck by how beautiful the place is! The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfect for a cozy meal or coffee break. I ordered a flatbread and a soup, and both were really delicious. The flatbread had a perfect balance of textures, and the soup was comforting and well-seasoned. I also appreciated that they offer complimentary water, which is a nice touch.

Google
Perhaps reminiscent of Dean and Deluca from NYC SoHo but even better, Tatte will not disappoint. Yes, it's a chain establishment but quality is consistent. Pastries, sandwiches, breakfast items, etc. are all prepared well with quality ingredients. Good espresso beverage & tea variety but no soy milk, at least at this location; professional, diligent staff; both indoor/outdoor tables, large dining area but seating can become scarce during peak rush; street parking; convenient walking distance from area hotels, offices & apartments; reasonable prices & decent value. Recommended!

Google
My go-to cafe in DC ☕️ I always order either the ginger date oatmilk latte or the house latte - I prefer the former! Their pain au chocolat is also good The shakshuka was delightful and comforting - highly recommend. The serving size is big so you can share it with someone. It can get really busy around 10 am onwards, hard to find seats as some people would stay there for hours with their laptops. But I would definitely go back when I’m in DC

Yelp
Famous bakery with brunch and breakfast served all day Fridays and weekends. They have plenty of cute drinks as well as cute desserts too. I really like their matcha latte, it is a strong tea and the latte art is aesthetic. They have quiches that tend to be sold out and also shakshuka! Service is quite fast, you order at the counter first and they'll give you a number for your table. Ambiance is a good spot for having a meeting or just catching up with friends. There were also lots of people studying on a weekday afternoon

Yelp
We stayed at the Arlo Hotel, and Tatte Bakery was just a short walk away--super convenient for a delicious breakfast! Our family of eight, including a 2-year-old, ordered a mix of breakfast sandwiches and pastries, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Their pastry selection is impressive, with a beautiful display by the register that makes it hard to choose just one. The ambiance is low-key and casual, which was perfect for our family, especially with a toddler. Seating is ample, but during peak times, it can be tough to find a table. Overall, a fantastic spot for breakfast or a quick pastry stop. We'd definitely come back next time we're in town!

Yelp
Beautiful place. Yummy coffee & food. Good service. But got my latte order wrong and gave me my "for here" order in a paper cup. All else was great!

Yelp
Wow! What a find! This bakery does it right! This bakery even serves breakfast or lunch. They have a seasonal menu in addition to their All Day, Brunch, Drink, and Gluten Free menus. I could not resist the urge to try three of their desserts and an Americano. The first thing I tried was their Pistachio Croissant. It was crispy on the outside, flaky moist on the inside with a pistachio cream and dusted with pistachios on top. Phenomenal! The next thing I tried was their Passion Fruit Krembo. This was a flavor bomb of a dreamy creamy dessert atop a graham cracker crust encased in an eye-popping passion fruit ganache. The third dessert I ate was a Blueberry Lemon Pavlova. This version had blueberries atop a meringue casing and filled with a lemony blueberry marshmallow like filling. Yes, I ate these in one sitting. I was on a sugar high for sure. My favorite was surprisingly the Croissant. It was perfection and it was the perfect accompaniment to my coffee! I wish I had more time in DC. I'd start my day here everyday!

Yelp
Whether it's in Boston or DC, you'll always catch me looking for the nearest Tatte. This location is busy and bustling-finding a table indoors might be hard. The line moves quick, however, and the servers and waitstaff are very efficient at their job. I got my usual- an Iced caramel almond milk latte, and tried something new, the shakshuka. Wow, was it amazing. Served with warm, fresh challah bread. Perfect breakfast or lunch for a cold day.

Yelp
Tatte is just the best... it's kinda hard to say anything else. You are definitely in for a treat when you visit here whether it's the bakery items, lunch, coffee, tea, merch, customer service, you name it.. Tatte's just got "it". They pass the vibe check every time! If you're a first timer I would recommend the chicken salad, the salmon burger, matcha lemonade, apple pie, or the yellow thingy in my review. I forgot the name but it's AMAZING.

Yelp
4.5 stars TL;DR: Cute cafe vibes, lots of food and bakery options Came here to do a little work, and thankfully was able to find an open table. Luckily though, there was no line to order food. SERVICE: not very friendly or helpful (almost dismissive), but that's fine with me. Also, would be nice if they had an option to ask to heat up pastries FOOD: ~Lamb Meatball Shakshuka (5/5): This was SO GOOD. Flavorful sauce with a kick. Soothing white sauce to counter. Eggs were perfect. Meatballs were delicious and soft ~Prosciutto and Fig Panini (5/5): The fig jam is so good that I wanted to dunk the whole panini in it. And there is a ton of brie cheese. Flavor bomb ~Short rib grilled cheese (3.8/5): Short rib was soft and flavorful. But with that, the beet relish, and the type of bread they use, it gets soggy ~Monkey bread (2.5/5): bland ~Fruit Boat (3/5): fruit was so ripe and whipped cream was tasty. Tart box was okay ~Halva chocolate chunk cookie (4/5): Nutty, delicious, and chewy. However, the texture was a little too crumbly in spots Overall, really enjoyed our time here! Wanted to try so many other menu items and pastries.

Yelp
The ambiance screams nice baked goods! I ordered the apple almond cake. It's definitely a cake to eat on a cold, crisp day. The apple cake was bursting with flavor and the almond gave the cake a balance nutty flavor profile without overpowering the apple. The customer service was friendly. Treat yourself!

Yelp
Good coffee, iffy bakery It's kinda strange, the coffee (espresso, that is) is actually made with care and seemingly with love. It tastes....legit The baked goods, on the other hand, while looking awesome, are anything but. I had a pretty decent selection of croissants, cake slices and whatnot, and they were all...thawed. Or in one memorable case, straight up semi frozen Which is basically uncool when it comes to what is supposed to be a reputable bakery Ah well, maybe if you get stuff fresh it's better, but I got mine out of the case Anyhow, it's probably one of the better choices in the hood, but not really worth it on an absolute basis...

Yelp
The Tatte Bakery & Cafe has a nice reputation for their bakery and that's why we came here. The decor is fitting and really matches the ambiance of the place. While we were here, the volume is very loud and it's difficult to hear the person in front of you. However as others have pointed out, the customer service is abysmal. I ordered the breakfast plate and when it finally came, it was cold. I brought it to the manager's attention and he seemed unfazed by the situation. He asked if I wanted it remade and I declined and promptly asked for a refund. I wouldn't recommend Tatte Bakery & Cafe for breakfast but their pastries are very good. I also wouldn't come back again because of the lack of customer service and lack of acknowledging their mistakes.

Yelp
I'm so glad there are multiple locations of Tatte Bakery in DC! I was familiar with Tatte in Boston so it's excellent the district gets to experience all their glory! Great range of food options from sandwiches to pastries. Something for everyone! Service is helpful in terms helping you decide on options if you feel torn/undecided like me because everything looks so good. I LOVE the ambiance. Feels like a gorgeous well thought out French bakery. Prices are reasonable....oh! and the pistachio latte is SO good.
google avatar

Joya S.

Yelp
This place is very nicely decorated and there's a ton of indoor and outdoor seating. Got the shackshuka which was good but it should have came with more bread. The croissant was good but it was a little cold still. I also wish they would have given us the option to heat up the pastry from out of the case and maybe would have put it on a plate instead of in a bag. Also had the sparkling matcha lemonade which was good and not too bitter.
google avatar

Yelp
I finally understand why so many people talk about this place. There's a convention in town so it's a total zoo, but the pastries were worth it. The morning bun was amazing - it's basically a pile of sugar and butter with a tiny bit of flour thrown in to stick all together. I also got the ginger date oat milk latte, which is incredible although a bit chewy. Seriously if you don't like drinks with texture, this may not be for you. I think I may have just realized it's not caffeinated, but I'll worry about that part later. And I have a ham and cheese croissant in my backpack just waiting to get all squished up, and I'll still be excited when it's time for lunch.

Yelp
This coffee shop and bakery is absolutely beautiful inside with a clean, modern aesthetic. We ordered a few bakery items, which were good, but honestly not the best I've ever had. We ordered the havla bomb (4/5) which was a chocolate shaped dome with havla inside (sesame paste). We also ordered the pistachio marmalade cake (4.5/5) which have nice flavor and paired well with the coffee. However we were very disappointed with the pain de chocolate (chocolate croissant) as it tasted stale and didn't seem to be freshly made (2/5). I would not order this again. Also, we ordered a drip coffee and they gave us a number and told us to sit down and they would deliver it to our table. We never received it and when we asked about it they said we had to go wait in line and order it again?
google avatar

David V.

Yelp
Lovely, enticing offerings. We had a wonderful quiche and an unctuous breakfast sandwich on a tasty croissant featuring a nicely runny egg. Messy and worth it! I liked our desserts but m'lady less so. They were a dark chocolate mousse and a spiral concoction reminiscent of a dairy queen cone (although comprised of creme not ice cream). We would love to come back to sample their other intriguing selections.

Yelp
This is my third location of Tatte I've visited and I can honestly say Tatte never disappoints. I got a Shakshuka (lamb meatball), and for a cold winter day, it was warm, comforting, had a good amount of spice, rich tomato-y flavor. Bread was baked fresh and came a bit buttered so it went well with the soup. Of course they always have a plethora of pastries to choose from and amazing coffee as well. Plenty of seating, even some counter seating, indoors and outdoors. Servers are courteous and wonderful, and your food is brought to you once you are seated with a number.

Yelp
Such a cute brunch spot for a rainy day! Service was quick. The interior's crowded, but there's ample seating. I wish the food tasted as good as it looked. The passion fruit krembo just had a pea-sized drop of passion fruit curd in the center. Pistachio croissant felt stale and lacked pistachio flavor. Minus the super bitter aftertaste, I actually enjoyed the taste of pistachio syrup in my latte a lot! I'd come back just for the pistachio latte :)
google avatar

Briana D.

Yelp
Passion fruit krembo was delicious, would definitely go back again! The topping was nice and fluffy and the cookie bottom was tasty.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute place! We came here for brunch and the savory toast is heavy but yummy - okay for two people. The pastries and coffee were pretty good as well!

William H.

Yelp
Pastries don't get warmed up enough. Got a ham and cheese croissant and the ham and cheese is good in the middle. Need a microwave.
google avatar

Stella Y.

Yelp
I love walking into a cafe and being greeted by a case of pastries! However, I was here for a hearty breakfast so I quickly grabbed a pistachio croissant to go but got a prosciutto and Parmesan scrambled egg plate which came with a toasted slice of sourdough bread. The eggs were super soft, creamy, and fluffy, and I loved how the shaved Parmesan cheese and prosciutto essentially gave the eggs some flavor and salt. The bread gave the dish some good texture and carbs. Overall and light but filling meal to start my day.

Yelp
We love Tatte! On our latest visit, we tried 2 new items. My husband had the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado & tomato). Tom is very picky about his turkey, but he gave this sandwich his highest praise. I had the croque messieur but wasn't thrilled,
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
A highly packed place on a Sunday morning. Always busy and popular with great food and lattes. I had the following: - Tatte house latte (with oat milk) - AMAZING. I highly recommend getting this! The flavor is honey halva, and it was absolutely delicious--sweet (not overly so and well-balanced with the earthy espresso) and nutty. The texture was wonderfully creamy and smooth. - Pistachio croissant - very nice flaky texture, but a bit too sweet for me and not enough pistachio taste - Cheese boureka - first time to try this pastry, and it was great. Pastry texture was perfectly soft, flaky, and crispy, and the cheese filling was savory. - Halloumi sunny-side up breakfast sandwich - good solid flavors

Yelp
Every time I come to DC, this is going to be a MUST. The pastries were so yummy, the strawberry turnover was my favorite. And the breakfasts we had were delicious! The tatte latte iced is the way to go! The employees knew their roles so well and were so helpful in helping us decide what to get. Even when it's busy, there is still a peacefulness and enjoyment.
google avatar

Lily P.

Yelp
This cute bakery & cafe is only a short walk away from Union Station in DC. It is easily a must-visit location if you are in the city. My favorite item here is the Croque Madam: ham, Gruyere, and egg (your style - scrambled, sunny-side up, etc) in a housemade croissant topped with Mornay sauce. Delicious! The Turkey BLAT or Breakfast Sandwich are also solid options if they run out of Croque Madam for the day. As for drinks, I love the Matcha Latte or Chai Latte. Whether you want to order dine-in or takeout, you start by placing an order in the front. If you opt to dine-in, you get a stand with a number to carry to whatever open table you choose to sit at. It can get quite crowded here in the mornings! Someone will bring the food to your table if you opt to dine-in. If you order to go, they will package the food and place it on a shelf of takeout orders where you can visit to grab your item(s) yourself.
google avatar

Marina B.

Yelp
I love Tatte. All their locations are a vibe and their baked goods reliably great. Came here to get some work done before catching a train and enjoyed the atmosphere.
google avatar

Matthew U.

Yelp
Fun thing, we weren't even going to come here when we started out our walk. We intended on going elsewhere and were distracted right in front of this spot. I am delighted that we got distracted or we may not have had such a great lunchtime break. This location is lively and bright. You kind of feel like you are descending into a subway stop with the tile on the wall and just how busy it was inside. At lunchtime it can be extremely busy in here, a line can form but they make light work of orders. Grab yourself a menu when you enter and that way it can go smoothly when you get to the register. My order was placed and I was given a number to place on my table. This is for the food that will be prepared in the visible kitchen. However, if you order a sweet or a drink, you will get that to take with your to your table of choice. You can sit inside or opt for an outdoor seat, we chose inside. I was half tempted to eat my sweet while waiting for my food, but I held the line because I wanted to save that for the end of my meal. I chose the Turkey B.L.A.T. off their menu and was pleasantly surprised. Consisting of turkey, bacon (of the applewood smoked variety), lettuce, avocado, and tomatoes in the version of a relish with onions. A hint of siracha aioli on an inhouse multigrain bread and this is a filling sandwich on its own. When I finished one half of it I had to take a moment before finishing the second half. Service was swift when bringing the food. They were also very polite. After the sandwich I moved onto the sweet finally. I mean I had been eyeing it since placing my order. The Chocolate Sandwich was alluring and had me as soon as I walked in. Finally able to take a bite and I was over the moon. The icing in the middle evens out the tartness of the chocolate crackers making up the sandwich. This, paired with the iced black tea, sweetened to my liking, was an appropriate ending to my meal here.
google avatar

Yvonne Z.

Yelp
I go to this Cafe purely for the vibes. I live catching up with friends here and sometimes trying out their seasonal drinks. I ordered the black sesame latte (hot) for the first time and loved the taste but felt that it was just the tiniest bit grainy, which might have been on purpose I'm not sure. I also tried the shakshuka for the first time and I actually really like it! It was basically a fancy tomato dip that I very much enjoyed.
google avatar

Obai K.

Yelp
I got the Turkey BLAT which was good. The bread was fluffy, there was a decent amount of turkey and bacon, and the toppings kept the sandwich moist and flavorful. Pretty short wait time for food to go. No complaints
google avatar

Peggy L.

Yelp
Cheese boureka - amazing savory pastry! It was so flaky as you take a bite into, then you'd taste some slight saltiness cheese. It was soft cheese kind and pastry itself was little warmed when it was served to us. Pistachio croissant - pretty sweet but nutty with pistachio crunch! Good croissant overall! Honey halva latte with oat milk - amazing and semi sweet coffee topped with creamy oat milk. It was surprising good as I was hesitant with honey and halva (fudge, sweet and tahini flavor). It was a unique latte for sure and I'd order that again next time! Halloumi sunny side breakfast sandwich - delicious breakfast sandwich combined with spinach and tomato. Halloumi was a perfect star in the sandwich as it was savory and well matched with sunny up egg. It was a bit messy to eat but overall I went home with a happy tummy! It was busy but we were lucky to find indoor seating with a table. Service was great as the cashier was attentive to our order. It was little chaotic to find our drink from the coffee bar and getting our pastries from some pick up area. Then breakfast sandwich was delivered to us when we were seated.

Yelp
Tatte has become a recent fav. They have multiple locations throughout the greater DC area. I have come to this location a couple times now. I order the salmon and avocado tartine almost every time although a lot of the menu also looks good! Of the pasties I've tried, I really enjoy their pistachio croissant. Great coffee here too. I've enjoyed a plain oat milk cortado. The workers typically are diligent. I see more friendly faces than not. Chill, warm, and slightly vibrant vibe to hang and eat with friends/fam, go solo, or do some work/reading.
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
Today, we decided to dine in for breakfast. Despite that, we received our drinks in disposable containers, which was a bummer as drinking tea out of real mug is so much nicer. Our tartines were good... the crust was a bit hard to cut with the provided knives, so be prepared to do some work. While some of the tomatoes on my tartine weren't completely ripe, I really enjoyed the flavors and would order it again.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
We stopped in at Tatte bakery after some work meetings, having been my first time I was so impressed immediately by all the sweet treats on display and the rich smell upon entering! This location in particular was busy and loud around 12pm on a Wednesday. I loved my latte - delicious flavor. The ham and cheese croissant could have been a little warmer but also had delicious flavor. My husband had the short rib sandwich which he said was ok. I would come back for a coffee and pastry rather than lunch, but we did not venture very far into the full menu. Lovely spot!
google avatar

Nomani T.

Yelp
Food was very tasty. The place is clean and very friendly. It's bright and roomy inside. I found a spot with a colleague up against the window. We both enjoyed a late breakfast. I had the Croque Madame described on their menu here: "CROQUE MADAME* - $13.85 Housemade croissant, ham, Gruyère, and egg your style*, topped with Mornay sauce." and a cup of coffee. The food was very tasty and my colleague enjoyed her meal as well. Food was priced right - not expensive and well worth it. Portion size was perfect, just enough for me to feel satisfied. The service was great - it was easy to order and the workers were very kind, courteous, and helpful. The staff keeping the inside clean and available were working very hard. Wiping off table, sweeping, and ensuring the next set of customers had a place to sit and enjoy. The store was clean and very large, lots of room to find a place to sit. It was a bit noisy from all of the people inside, but I expected that so no big deal.
google avatar

Edwin L.

Yelp
Outstanding food. Even though the app took me across town. The waiter at the other location took really good care of me.
google avatar

Michele R.

Yelp
The service was not good. There is a sense of "rush" even though there is not a long line. There is a lot of hustle and bustle, but plenty of staff that would allow for better service. I ordered an apricot pastry and was told there were no pastry plates so they would need to bag it. When I got to my table I realized that I was given the wrong pastry. Never the less I ate it to avoid any more delay or issues. I also ordered an egg with some salsa on the side. The egg was delicious. Additionally tables were not clean, some of the bins for salt and pepper were empty. Per one of the servers, customers are to pick up their plates and trays and place in bins. No wonder the tables are left dirty. The place looks nice and interesting, but don't know if I'd come back. Eating in a "rushed" atmosphere is not really my idea of enjoying a meal and the lack of service does not help.
google avatar

Marian K.

Yelp
My friend and I visited for breakfast working session, which turned into lunch. We received excellent customer service whenever we interacted with staff enjoyed our food! Before leaving, we ordered the tomato soup, grilled short rib cheese sandwich and chicken salad, all of which were top tier. The ambiance was chill/quiet for the most part but the noise level increased with foot traffic. Tip: the bathroom is near the front of the restaurant :)
google avatar

Amy T. H.

Yelp
Cute breakfast spot with lots of sweet and pastry options. Their beverage menu have many interesting drinks that are worth a try. I tried their Cappuccino and Black Sesame Latte, they are not too sweet which are great! Same go for their bake goods, the sweetness level is just right. I visited on a Saturday morning, the place was busy but it wasnt too noisy so it was quite enjoyable.
google avatar

Philip J.

Yelp
Decent sandwich, bakery and coffee here. The place is always packed and sometimes there's a long line. Sandwiches here are high quality. The bread is freshly baked and sliced. They have some gluten friendly options, but they do not have a gluten free kitchen. Their chocolate chip cookies are huge and buttery. They don't have a great spot to wait after you order your food. I always feel like I'm in someone's way. Nice ambiance here, and nice spot to sit and eat if you can find a table. Restrooms are nicely stocked and clean
google avatar

Yelp
I have been almost a regular at Tatte and pick something up every morning before I start my work day. This will probably be the last time I give this location my business. The cashiers get the orders wrong. I am not sure if they are hard of hearing or do not pay attention to what the customer is ordering but it has been consistently wrong. I asked for an avocado sandwich and a smoked salmon and they put our order in as a sausage sandwich 2x. Then my partner went to go get it corrected after looking at the receipt and it was still the wrong order- they still gave us a sausage sandwich. The salmon sandwich was then put in as a smoked salmon. I brought the attention to who I am assuming is the GM or manager and I told him my order was wrong and he said his employee said that we ordered a sausage sandwich, to which I then corrected him and let him know that my order was incorrect. He took my food back and waiting for my CORRECT food to come out is taking more than 10 minutes. There was no apology. There should be no reason why I am waiting over 10 minutes for a correction on a mistake that the front of house made. The food should have been made on the fly. Too much error for such a high price point for food. Music and lighting is good tho. Not a happy customer
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
Always clean and reliable, I see Tattes as a general response to Starbucks and I am here for it. Their food is great (this time I had the chicken salad), they have lots of seating, and they are in prime locations. This Tatte is better than most of the others because it has seating/tables indoors and outdoors for larger groups of people or spreading out for work.
google avatar

Jonah W.

Yelp
While breakfast menus can sometimes be limited, it feels like there's something for everyone on this one. There's pastries and other sweets, sandwiches and other savory options, salads, egg dishes, caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks, etc. I ordered the salmon, avocado, and egg sandwich. It came out fast and the service was friendly. Would highly recommend this sandwich if you're hungry - it's not served on a huge roll, but the contents are piled high and everything on it is delicious. And at ~$12, it's kind of a steal considering there are brunch places that would charge twice as much for the same sandwich.
google avatar

Tiffany A.

Yelp
I don't usually like going to the same place twice in a vacation, but I absolutely adored this bakery/cafe that I went again for brunch. So far, Tatte can't be beat in terms of atmosphere, brunch options, and service. I love that you can order cafe-style and then get your food served to you at a table. The desserts are tasty (especially the lemon one) and food is decent. The food is not out of this world good, but great given how many options + bakery Tatte has.

Yelp
I really enjoyed going to this Tatte location. It's holiday and they were open so we went to get some lunch. We ordered our usual lamb kebab pita sandwich, and the lamb meatballs were undercooked. The whole sandwich was cold! I thought maybe it was from yogurt sauce on top, so I took a bite, and the meatballs were pink inside and pasty texture! I am afraid of uncooked food for food safety reasons. The bakery was busy but any meat , especially ground meat should be well cooked for safety reasons.

Yelp
This was pretty good, would've been better fresh. I bought some other stuff too but didn't take a pic

Yelp
Great dessert and latte options! They also serve brunch on the weekends, which I have never tried. However, the options always sound delicious! 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Pretty much in line with the reviews, this particular location is very open and airy with white tiles all around. Food prices were surprisingly reasonable given what we deal with these days, the Lamb Hash was only $16.

Yelp
I've written about another Tatte location in DC before, and it wasn't that good of a review. But this latest trip to DC, I stopped by this location and had a much better experience overall. What drove me to try Tatte again after a poor experience at another location, you ask? It was the quality of the food itself, which was absolutely on point on this visit. The fact that it js one of the few spots in Capitol Hill open semi-late for a coffee shop, is an added bonus. Given the lunch options in the area, we decided to come here early on a Sunday afternoon. While there was definitely a significant line at the door, we ordered and found a seat in the cafe easily. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We both ordered soups: chicken noodle and a roasted lentil, and one of us a chicken salad sandwich and the other a farro bowl. Soups were just right. Chicken salad itself was delicious, but the bread was a little on the heavier, drier side. The farro bowl along with the roasted lentil soup were both good, too. On another visit, we got a croissant , which was moist, absolutely perfectly buttery and smooth all the way through, yet not too sweet or dry. Definitely a good snack spot or lunch cafe.

Yelp
My fiance and I loved this cafe so much that we visited 3 mornings in a row during our stay in DC. Each visit I sipped on a hot matcha latte. The linzer cookies are buttery and crumbly with raspberry jam filling should not be missed. It gets pretty loud in here and seating is first come first serve so get here early! Service is fast and friendly.
