Google
I had breakfast and lunch several times and I really like it because they have variety of options, service is very quick which is important as I am in a business trip the the location was very convenient next to my office. Some dishes, that are from middle east! Kebab, humus and baba ghanoug are not coherent in taste., they can improve

Visited this amazing restaurant while in DC on business. I love, luv, 💚 this place. The atmosphere was great, the staff were knowledgeable and kind, and the food was impeccable. I ordered the Braised Short Rib and Couscous Bowl. Unbelievably scrumptious! I was captivated by the taste and textures. A symphony of flavors, every bite as delectable and explosive as the bite before. The pomegranate took me out. I cannot wait to return again!

I always like here! whenever I go, I ordered new menu. Especially the chocolate moose so delicious! And their service are so very kind and warm.

Loved the lunch menu and friendly service. Cool atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Google
It was the most disgusting dinner I have ever had. The salmon was overcooked and had too much garlic added. They mixed rice grains with mint and zucchini and served it as “rice”. Even though they saw that we were not eating the food, they did not bother to ask why. I definitely do not recommend this place

Google
Pistachio croissants were dry and short on filling. The coffee was average, service was slow. They forgot to bring ordered pastries. The place looks like it would have potential but right now they simply aren't executing the baking or service part at a level high enough to earn a recommendation. The pastries looked delicious, yet freshness was questionable.

Google
What a find! Food was absolutely delicious. Counter service only for your order but food is brought to your table by friendly staff. Sweet French Toast was amazing as was lamb hash was fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!

Google
I shouldn't be surprised at such a low rating of this place. I have visited several Tatte locations. This has to be the worse of them. The customer service is horrendous. I know good help is hard to find but this is incredible and not in a good way. I waited 10 minutes for oatmeal only to find out they didn't have it. Then they say oh we have it but not the drizzle. Then I waited an additional 7 minutes to find out they put nuts on it and I certainly wasn't waiting again. She said she would refund me. I rushed out because I was late for work. Only to realize I paid with cash. The cashier should've caught that. Go back to get cash and instead the mgr gives me a free rose and gift card. The $25 gift card didn't work when I went. TWICE. The mgr on site that day had the cashier playing messenger telling me to other through the app. That didn't work. Then she said oh well it doesn't work here anymore and I need to call tech support! What??? I just left because I don't have the energy to deal with people who cannot understand how important customer service is. So no refund nor a working gift card. They basically received free money from me.

Yelp
Tatte has become a recent staple in my diet due their delicious sparkling matcha lemonade, which is made of matcha, simple syrup, lemon juice, and sparkling water. It's refreshing and not overly sweet and low in calories. Their food is equally as good..my favorites is their breakfast croissant sandwich and their chicken pita sandwich. And the packaging of my online orders is superb! Plus..this specific location is near to one of gyms I currently frequent...and it's always a pleasure to pop in here after a vigorous workout. The customer service is always kind, efficient, and open to making suggestions and recommendations on their menu. The location is clean with plenty of natural light. Highly recommend! One constructive feedback: they should notify their customers if an item is no longer available (orders placed through Uber eats, online, etc.) prior to having it delivered. And promptly update their menu selection online to reflect current availability of items.

Yelp
I was surprised to see this was a local chain with a handful of locations. Garage parking is the option. If you go to Wegmans (across the street) and pick up an item you can get a validation. Semi busy on a Monday late morning around 11. Spacious with modern decor and high ceilings. They have an abundant number of options. Overwhelming in a good way. We ordered a Croissant, Pain Au Chocolat, Brownie and Apple Streusel. All were excellent with the Streusel standing out. Enjoyed my Skim Cappucino also. Service was quick with friendly people working behind the counter. Worth the stop for tasty coffee and a great variety of plates/bowls, sandwiches, salads and baked goods. Yelp
Tatte is a fantastic brunch and bakery spot, offering a variety of sweet and savory choices. The spacious and casual setting adds to the appeal, complemented by the nice and quick service from the staff. The perfectly made coffee, especially the sweeter house latte, is a standout. The croissant breakfast sandwich with cheddar, tomato, avocado, and arugula was a delicious treat, though a minor hiccup occurred when the egg was served over easy instead of over medium. On a brighter note, the smoked salmon avocado and egg bagel sandwich hit all the right notes, making Tatte a delightful dining experience overall.

Yelp
I haven't been into a Tatte I didn't like! Loved coming here on a Saturday in the late afternoon. No line and we could sit outside! Enjoyed my drink and they were very accommodating! The guy who was making our drinks asked if we liked more chai or more milk! How lucky were we?! I'll definitely come back and relax there. I want to grab one of those cute sweater shirts too!

Yelp
I am a Big Tatte fan and always enjoy my brunches and snacks here! My friends and I had a nice experience at this Tatte in a very cool little alcove in Tenleytown. As usual, the staff were very kind and attentive. Great service! The Meze breakfast was a huge highlight. I loved the unique spreads that went perfectly with the sesame-coated Jerusalem bagel, especially the whipped feta. The Shakshuka was also a star! I wish the bread has been grilled a bit better--it was too soggy. I was let down by the carrot cake, which was stale. But the pain au chocolat was a stunner! We love to see it. This is a great, clean, and delicious brunch place! Excited for more!

Yelp
Oh my goodness!!! The smell as soon as you walk into the cafe is heaven!! I love the aroma of fresh coffee and bakery treats. It's a huge wide variety of what to get and eat. I wanted something light for breakfast because I was going to an interview this morning. Being a New Yorker and seeing the different flavors of cheesecake I had to try it since I'm a Juniors lover!! The first bit was to die for!!! I couldn't even wait for my coffee because it was gone in no time!!! The latte is very rich! Next time I may have to ask for extra syrup but it was still delicious. The customer service is amazing and great! The scenery and sitting is great! I'll definitely be back to visit and try some more of their amazing selection of food and drinks.

Yelp
This place is buuuuuusy. We got out food almost immediately (a pastry and avocado toast), but we were almost finished with our food before our coffee was ready. We sat at the bar and noticed a few chairs were taken up by backpacks, but no owners. After sitting for a while we realized the backpacks belonged to maybe the owner or someone in charge - he kept coming back to his backpack and then stood near a wall just observed. It was kind of weird and we thought it was kinda of rude to take up seats when it was so busy and people were looking for places to sit.

Yelp
This Tate opened not long ago in a newly developed area south of the Tenleytown metro - still developing actually - with several all new apartment buildings and more restaurants and retail stores to come. It's in a nice modern space a cross from a huge Wegman's, with plenty of counter and table seating both in and outdoors. The breakfast menu is mostly sandwiches but the bakery is quite good - they have my favorite bakery item - the palmiere, the best I've seen in DC area bakeries so far, thin, flakey and super buttery. The apple turnover not bad either. Not cheap at $4 each but worth the splurge.

Yelp
I got a black sesame latte and pastry, both were very unique and tasty. The interior design is very grand and photogenic, great for Instagram pictures! The cashier was very sweet after we asked for her recommendation between two chocolate pastries we were trying to decide on, she enticingly described the layers of the one she convinced us to choose..it did not disappoint, she did a good job convincing us

Yelp
So much space to sit and enjoy delectable lattes and pastries. Prompt service and lots of indoor and outdoor seating options.

Yelp
A group of friends and I went to the I Street location yesterday after running the SC Rock and Roll 5K. I love Tatte and have been to the one in Bethesda and Wisconsin Ave since they have come to DC area. Their food is always on point and I typically get goodies to go. My favorite are the kouign amann which they were out of yesterday. I also love this House latte. My visit yesterday I got the salmon and egg breakfast sandwich with house latte. My main issue with Tatte is seating. Trying to get a seat can be tricky and you have to be patient if you want to dine in.

Yelp
Exceptional espresso and delicious smoked salmon & avocado tartine. Wil come back again and again

Yelp
Another Tatte has opened here a few days ago. Top of the line pastries and bread with excellent coffees here. Eat at inside and/or outside tables. Price-wise a little high but each foods I got were excellent. Just in front of newly opened Wegman's and now we have great choice for a breakfast or little sweet time.
google avatar

Yelp
Tatte is just a gem of a place. You're always going to get good coffee or a good pastry here. I've been maybe 10 times in the last year and have only ever not liked one thing. It is pretty inside and outside. Great for meeting up and talking or sitting alone and studying in a peaceful cafe environment. I love their cappuccinos and the fruit tarts but you really can't go wrong with any of their stuff- definitely worth trying. Always a great place to take visiting loved ones too.

Yelp
If you've been to one Tatte in DC, this isn't any different in terms of what is offered. What sets this one apart is....the wait times! There are always people here but it is never "busy" when I come! I love it. After spending who knows how many hours of my life waiting in line at other Tattes around DC (looking at you, Foggy Bottom location), I always make it a point to come to this location. I was sad that some of their seasonal offerings ran out a little earlier this year (the pistachio latte, sigh), but their signature halva latte is a winner anytime of year. (This place is still always 5 stars for me but I will note when I went the other week and ordered some lemon loaf for my daughter, it was SO dense and dry. Chalking it up to a fluke because everything else I've ever gotten here is awesome).

Yelp
Getting here was an interesting experience. It is in an apartment complex (one of those mini city communities). We parked in a neighborhood nearby and walked over. Both of the sandwiches we ordered were really good! Coffee and tea was OK, nothing remarkable. However the pastries were remarkable! We got a few pastries to go and they were very good. Servers were kind. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Order at counter & choose seat vibe. We did not have to wait in line to order.

Yelp
Baked goods always look tempting & there is a big selection. But they're expensive & not always fresh. Met a friend for coffee and tried a cinnamon roll. While it was well made, it tasted a bit stale.

Yelp
I almost never leave negative feedback like this, but our experience at the City Ridge location this afternoon was so disappointing that I felt compelled to do so. My partner and I ordered a the Mezze Breakfast with poached eggs and the Couscous Bowl from the front register to eat in and grabbed a table. About twenty minutes later, the Couscous Bowl (for me) was brought to our table, but the server said they could not make my partner the Meze Breakfast because the kitchen was out of Jerusalem bagels. My partner asked if they could simply switch out the bread, which is only a side on the meal anyway. A few minutes later, another Tatte employee (presumably a manager) came back and said it would not be possible to substitute anything but a gluten-free option, saying that she wasn't allowed to provide different bread (e.g. pita) due to "corporate policy." At this point, we were frustrated and opted for the House Breakfast Plate with poached eggs. When I asked if the kitchen could bring it up as soon as possible so we could eat together, the employee did not seem to care or acknowledge the inconvenience of the situation, which could have been mitigated entirely if we were informed at the front end of the availability of a menu item (or a seemingly nonsensical corporate policy on what breads can or can't be served with an entree). The Breakfast Plate did not arrive for at least another 15 minutes (and the restaurant was quite slow at this point), and I was basically done with my meal by the time it arrived. When it did, only one of the poached eggs was properly cooked, it was oversalted, and was served bizarrely (with scrambled eggs included under the potatoes, which doesn't make a lot of sense). My partner left most of their plate and we left so we could have a proper meal at home. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but this was one of the worst and most unpleasant dining experiences we have had. I know Tatte can do better and hope that, in the future, this location can improve considerably from their current state.

Yelp
How can you serve RAW eggs? The temperature of both menu items Savory French Toast and Fattush Salad were not safe. 1.) The Savory French Toast had RAW EGG YOLKS and "end of the package" bacon. It was SOOO disappointing from the last time I ordered this. That time it was in the morning... maybe a manager was overseeing the chef so it was high quality then??? Today's DoorDash order was unacceptable! 2.) The Fattoush Salad was inedible with its chewy croutons and mushy blocks of feta cheese. The roll was cold... it was as if they made the salad earlier today then realized the feta cheese was not cold so they put it in the freezer??? There was an abundance of herbs dumped all throughout the salad. Yuck 3.) The latte with vanilla syrup tasted like warmed vanilla syrup milk. Where's the coffee??? What is going on with the lack of care given to preparing good quality food at THIS location? RAW EGGS ARE NOT SAFE!!!

Yelp
This is such a pleasant lively place. We've been several times and in general the food is very pleasant. Today however I ordered the turkey and avocado sandwich and was extremely disappointed. It had all the right ingredients but it had maybe and ounce of turkey! I know places are cutting back on everything but I would rather pay $5 more and feel like I actually had lunch.

Yelp
By now there seem to be many Tatte's in DC, this is the second one I am reviewing. Like the U Street Corridor one, the ambience is bright, with elegant-understated white tiles across the walls, big windows, and ceiling fans. The hot chocolate is very nice, and their muesli bowl was tasty, albeit very short on the muesli and rich on the yoghurt. Luckily, they have honey at their supplements stand that I could add once I was left with plenty of yoghurt and nothing else.

Yelp
First time trying Tatte's-Lovely cafe. Food was delicious-def need to add extra egg for the sandwich to balance the bread ratio. Brownie was perfect and cheesecake wasn't bad. I will def go back.
google avatar

Yelp
A great bakery and coffee shop. Everyone who works at Tatte is friendly and efficient. The coffee is hot, strong, and delicious! The matcha isn't sweet at all, it's perfect. We'll go back next time we are in DC. A treat!
google avatar

Yelp
Tatte never misses! I can always rely on them for great food. The food came out pretty quickly. Only reason I deducted a star was because the music was a bit too loud for my liking and it was difficult to study. I would definitely recommend going here as a brunch place -- plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and the staff is friendly!

Yelp
Tatte is originally from Boston and has several locations in Massachusetts as well as DC. I've visited a Tatte location in DC twice and it's so tiny that I don't feel like I'll ever get a table. This new location is larger and not in downtown DC, so I GOT A TABLE! I visited this morning with a friend; we wanted a cup of coffee (and I wanted a nosh) before we went to a couple of museums in the area. We each got a coffee (americano for me, cappuccino for him), and I got a cheese boureka. The cafe looks like the others - cute, modern, with a vintage, Parisian-y vibe. Customer service at the counter where you order was good, and my warmed up boureka and our coffees were out to us very quickly. It was great to get a chance to sit at a Tatte! If I'd known we were going and that it was larger and there would be free tables (at 9:15-9:30 on a Saturday), I would have come hungry and ordered a proper breakfast (halloumi sunnyside breakfast sandwich, lamb hash, shakshuka, ...!) I'd happily return to order and eat at a table!

Christine Yuxuan Z.

Yelp
food is way below my expectation. Service is terrible. I will not return back to this location. I ordered a macchiato. My servant spilled it out when serving, messing the saucer and losing about 1/4 of the coffee (see photo). He only said "oops" and walked away. I would expect they make a new one for compensation.

Samantha F.

Yelp
Have been excited for this location to open but had a disappointing experience so I'm not sure we'll go back. Was told they couldn't take any more espresso orders because they were backed up. Never been turned away at a coffee shop for trying to order coffee before. Bizarre.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing great hot chocolate and it's near a wegman's you can just go straight into wegman's
google avatar

Yelp
Nice selection of items to eat. The coffee was good as well. I liked the atmosphere and variety.
google avatar

Yelp
This location is convenient to my current residence but I definitely notice a huge difference in quality when compared to the Bethesda location I'm used to. The prices are are kind of high, so having to toss an entirely molded sandwich was very disappointing. It just makes everything I would potentially order from this location very questionable as it relates to quality and safety.

Yelp
Best Monkey bread that I've ever tasted. Mocha was rich and delightful and staff was friendly. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Christine K.

Yelp
I am very excited that this place opened here. One of my best friends is blind, and this location is near her house. They were super accommodating when we came. A person helped me with getting a good table and moving chairs, and the staff modified her meal to make it easier for her to eat. I also cannot eat gluten or dairy, and they have gluten free bread and a whole gluten free menu! The lamb shakshuka was so good. They made sure to remove dairy from it too. I'm excited to make this one of our regular spots!
google avatar

Vintressia N.

Yelp
Tatte's is a really nice Cafe. My daughter and I went for lunch. The walnut brownie is delicious, we ate it before we could take a pic. She had a London Fog(tea).
google avatar

Kristy A.

Yelp
This is a cute little bakery/ Cafe. However, when I had lunch today, I got the lamb hash off the gluten-free menu. I assume everything on the plate would be GF as well. I knew instantly that something was wrong. I was served challah bread instead of GF bread. While I fully understand mistakes happen, something of this magnitude should have been avoided. The cashier was very nice and gave me a refund which i really appreciated. For me, it was more about ordering from a GF menu and having gluten items served to me. Thankfully, I had just 3/4 of a slice and left with mild discomfort and bloating and not anaphylaxis, but someone may not be so lucky.

Noah W.

Yelp
The food here was absolutely amazing. I opted for the salmon avocado egg sando and it was fyeeeee. My gf got the lamb hash and it was also gooder than a mf bc she only eats two bites and is full. The pastries we got were the strawberry turnover and my gf for some French thing which was okay to her but gasss to me. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone who is seeking a lul quiet spot in DC. I WILL BE BACK
google avatar

Yelp
First, the food and coffee are great. However, I strongly recommend you do not visit this location. I drove up front and dropped off my wife to order food, with my newborn twins in the car. A security guard immediately walked up and told me I could not wait in front of the restaurant and told me to drive around the block until my wife was ready. That's fine - even though this was Tuesday at 10am and there is no traffic; and even though there was a police car parked there picking up food, same as me. But the security is incredibly unpleasant. When I came back to pick up my wife, who was walking out the door with our breakfast, the security immediately walked up and gave me shit and told me I need to be driving around the block. The car door is open and my wife is halfway in the car, how am I supposed to drive around? Or is the idea that all pick up and drop off is strictly prohibited? Maybe post some signs? Ridge Square/Tatte should have a talk with security (particularly the unpleasant security guard working 3/7/2023 at 10am). They're a bit overzealous in their enforcement and this location won't exactly be a magnet for foot traffic any time soon.

Yelp
Small portions of food/dessert and the price is too expensive. The service was good. ........

Rajiv D.

Yelp
I placed an online order to the City Ridge Tatte only to arrive and realize that I had accidentally ordered from the City Centre location instead. We were with two tired hungry young children, so we were trying to figure out what to do. The manager Santos was so kind and accommodating about it. He tried calling the other location, and when he couldn't get through, he just remade the sandwiches on the house. We were really touched--it was such a nice gesture. The sandwiches were delicious btw! Got the short rib and tuna. We will definitely be back for the food as well as the excellent customer service. (It's a really beautiful space as well).

Yelp
Amazing service and ambiance to be in . Very nice to study at with yummy food. Definitely come here

Yelp
Omg it's almost as if Manager Michael sensed my pain. I was having a case of the SADZ this am, which unfortunately set the stage for a frazzled afternoon. I thought to myself that maybe a matcha latte would turn my frown upside down. Much to my dismay, when it was time to pay I reached into my bag and realized my wallet was MIA. At that point, I accepted that I was having a shlemiel afternoon, said sorry to Manager Michael and started to turn towards the door. TG 4 sweet angel Michael tho who called after me and said "don't worry, I got this." So thank you Michael -- I'm glad you got this because I certainly don't. You are a kind soul and make me believe in humanity. Karma's got good things in store 4 u.

Cates D.

Yelp
Pastries are excellent. Coffee is so good too. Wam and cozy inside. Love the ambience.

Rafael S.

Yelp
Beautiful interior. My pastry was dry and stale. And my double espresso had coffee grit in the bottom. Disappointing compared to my experience at other locations.

Kenneth H.

Yelp
Everything is delicious. Everything taste fresh. And they have a nice set up where you can sit and enjoy yourself. Also I've never had an issue with my DoorDash orders. This is probably one of my favorite places in DC.

Caro M.

Yelp
We love Tatte from our time in Boston and after a few years abroad were excited to move to DC and find a Tatte in our neighbourhood! This is the brandnew Tatte at Ridge. However, the excitement did not last long. It has a strange vibe. We went for a coffee for a couple of weekends now and the customer experience has not been great. The staff needs better training, they are not really friendly and sometimes I got the occasional annoyed look (e.g. when I changed my mind and did ask for a pastry which meant that the staff had to go back 2 meters (!) to serve me a pastry). First I thought I was overreacting but every weekend there was something else. For example, there is this guy running around who takes plates while you're still eating and all. The final point was reached yesterday - we sat next to an elderly lady who was having some avodaco & eggs on toast. First, it was almost thrown at her (like here you go type of attitude), then - as she started eating - this guy started sweeping the floor around her and underneath her. She asked him if he could do that after she had finished her plate, and he responded something like I am cleaning here. But he did stop. A couple of minutes later we saw him walk by and throw the most annoyed, mean look at her. At an elderly lady in her 70s ! Surely she won't be back (we ended up speaking to her as we observed what was going on) and nor won't we. First I thought let's give it a chance, the place just opened and they need to get into it, but it's been a few 'let's give them a chance' by now and we have had enough. It is not exactly the cheapest coffee & cake and I prefer not spending that money on an unpleasant experience. It feels totally unwelcoming.

Yelp
i love halva sm so i got their halva honey latte and halva brownie. the halva flavor wasn't strong or bitter or anything. the halva pieces on thr brownie (which was gooey and chocolatey. almost flourless in a good way) didn't have a flavor. latte was good but forgettable and again i didn't get what i wanted
