13 Spots for Seasonal Blueberry Treats Around D.C. - Eater DC

"Blueberries in their unadulterated form join blackberries atop mini Israeli cheesecakes ($7) across Tatte’s rapidly-expanding local portfolio. In the last few years, the Boston-based bakery and cafe has ballooned to seven (and soon to be eight) locations across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia." - Emily Wishingrad

D.C. Cafes and Restaurants With Free Wi-Fi

"The Boston cafe expanded into the D.C. area in 2020 and doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon. Stop by at any of its locations, with another in CityCenter on the way, for halloumi breakfast sandwiches, shakshuka, and Israeli-influenced pastries, and linger for the free Wi-Fi. Its weekend brunch fills up fast, so getting in some work on the weekdays is the perfect time to find an empty seat." - Kalina Newman

Google
My partner recommended this café. Let me just say that the atmosphere was wonderful and the café was absolutely stunning. They have menus in the front so you have time to choose what you want to eat in advance. Ordering is very quick, they ask if you want to dine in or out. We decided to dine in and they gave you a number and then you pick wherever you wanna sit. I got the smoked salmon sandwich and it was mind boggling delicious. I got the house coffee latte, which had honey infused, which was so divine. This was a 10/10 in my books. You definitely need to check this out if you’re visiting Washington DC.

Google
Great coffee spot—went back 4 times! I tried their cappuccino, iced americano and lemon tart—all so good. The coffee was smooth and strong (in the best way), and the food was fresh and tasty every time. It became my go-to while in DC!

Google
Very popular place. It was slamming when I visited on a Tuesday morning. Outside seating was very available but that’s likely due to the fact the heat index was over 100F even at 9am. Good shade for outdoor seating, though. Overall a good experience.

Google
So, for starters, I have been in 3 Tatte locations, and this is the only place that serves the large portion salmon sandwich. Other places are small or lacking, but this place is the full salmon that barely fits the buns. So it is a pleasure to enjoy. Secondly, I have tried the same dish in other Tatte places and this place definitely has the best taste. I also love ordering the lamb here as well, but I wanted to give the salmon the spotlight.

Just had my birthday cheesecake yesterday like we used to for the past three years but yesterday it was different like the blueberries where squishy and they tested funny so we only had like three slices one for me one for my husband for one for my baby and we couldn’t have more like the crest at the bottom even tasted different. I’m saying this because I am a regular customer there. We have the cheesecake like once in a while because we are very good fun of the cheesecake I’m not saying it doesn’t taste good but with the blueberry it’s it was different. Maybe I’m just saying check your blueberries. It was not good. I can say like I didn’t enjoy my birthday cake at this time.

Google
After walking around DC, stopped here for iced teas and a snack. Cute place with delicious looking soups and sandwiches. We shared a coffee caramel mousse. A bit sweet, but nice flavor. The place is busy. We sat inside since AC was on. It's noisy inside, lots of echo. The patio also has a lot of seating. Much quieter. Would stop here again.

Google
A pleasant and tasty dining experience. The hand crafted cold beverages are super flavorful. My first time eating a Jerusalem Bagel!

Google
We went to this Tattas two days ago. My fiance ordered the egg shashuka. When it arrived, the eggs were raw. We sent it back and advised that we couldn't believe they would serve uncooked eggs. We then waited at least 20 minutes to get a new dish. The eggs were so overcooked they might as well have been powdered. The waitress said she would comp the meal, but I just looked at my credit card account and we were not credited anything. I would NEVER go to Tattas again after this experience. And strongly recommend you avoid them as well.

Yelp
Visited this cafe for the first time and it was absolutely stunning. The interior design is super pretty and I love how there are so many pastries and baked goodies to choose from. They had so many delicious breakfast options such as sandwiches, fruit toast, and pancakes. The matcha latte was refreshing and the avocado, bacon, turkey, lettuce and tomato sandwich was so flavorful.

Yelp
Came for afternoon tea ended up getting the following. Forgive the names I'm just describing because I don't remember exactly what they call them Golden Bud's tea was good Apple turnover cake was good The walnut crumbly cake was okay The best thing about it is the ambiance where you can sit down and be around some birds. Parking is on the street and you'll have to pay for it. It's a great place that people watch service is a bit snippy. I don't think I will be back

Yelp
Tatte is a popular bakery and café that's well worth a visit, especially for their delicious food and pastries. While some of the food came out a bit cold, the bread is exceptional, and the short rib grilled cheese is an absolute must-try. The staff is knowledgeable, so definitely ask them for drink recommendations--they've never steered me wrong. The café has a bright white interior that's inviting, but be aware that indoor seating is limited. You might need to sit outside or wait for a table, especially during the busy lunch hours.

Yelp
My coworkers RAVED about tatte - almost to the point where it felt like it was the only cafe in town. While the food was good, I can't say that the lattes were super special. If you visit in the morning, expect a line - and if you want your pastries warmed, be explicit about that!
google avatar

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Delicious everything -- coffee, pastries, sandwiches, eggs. We were only in town for 3 days & went here for breakfast twice. Have to come back for lamb hash -- they were out both times.
google avatar

Lizzy K.

Yelp
Delightful, cafeteria-style - white decor, clean and sleek. Reasonable prices, delicious innovative salads (had the shawarma-seasoned shrimp) and baked products (delicious rolls). Coffee was a little underwhelming. Quick service.
google avatar

Vivian Z.

Yelp
Place is massive and there is a line 80% of the time you're there. I went there twice in one week for breakfast and the sandwich I ordered (I always always get the smoked salmon, egg, and avocado sandwich with sprouts and onion etc) came out differently across the two times in terms of portion size of the salmon and egg. In any case good both times, just seems to be inconsistent. Coffee like all Tatte's was alright but not amazing. the first day I got a couple pastries but I noticed a couple flies hanging out in their pastry case so opted out the next time. Food comes out fast but I saw some people waiting ages for their to-go coffees. Definitely not a quick in-and-out spot especially if there's a line!! Be prepared to wait. Staff is nice and friendly, patient and accommodating.

Yelp
I came here for a drink and a break after several hours of studying nearby. I walked so I cannot speak for parking nearby but there did not appear to be any street parking. There is plenty of seating space here both inside and out and it was relatively quiet if you wanted to come study/work here (although I am uncertain if they have wifi). Sparkling Matcha Rhubarb Lemonade 3.5/5, bubbly and sweeter than I expected. Definitely more of a lemonade than a matcha, but I enjoy lemonade as well so I did not mind this. Corn Spinach and Shishito Pepper Pita 2/5, this was just ok. You really can only taste the Spinach on the pita the most and you get no hint of shishito pepper, while when you can taste a bit of corn its almost sour in tone and tastes more like spinach. The bread itself was also not the best for this, this was was a miss for me. Walnut brownie 5/5 omg I would come back for this alone! The walnuts mixed in with whatever brownie recipe they used was delicious, super recommend this if you have a sweet tooth.

Yelp
This bakery and restaurant is so beautiful. I wish there was one in LA. I came upon this bakery chain which started in Boston while I was visiting the DC/Virginia area. The inside is modern, airy and clean. This particular location in DuPont Circle has high ceilings, outdoor seating and an almost historic vibe. I ordered the avocado toast and an oat milk latte with simple syrup. Frankly, all the pastries and everything on the menu looked so good. It was hard to choose! The avocado toast was delicious. It tasted healthy and fresh. I found the latte to be overly sweet for me. When I asked the staff if they could remake it for me, they graciously obliged. I am very grateful for their kindness and service. I could see myself as regular here if I lived in the area. It's a perfect spot for brunch, gatherings and solo meals. Each Tatte has a slightly different vibe and decor. With fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, well prepared food and good ambiance, it's no surprise that this chain is so popular and fast-growing!

Yelp
I cannot say how much I love Tatte bakery - this should 100% be on everyone's list when in Washington, DC. First, the menu is huge - I was not expecting so many options at what I believed was a local coffee shop / bakery. Turns out, they have a full menu with tons of great options. I had such a quick trip that I didn't get to go back, but during my next visit, I will be going back to try more items. I don't really love eggs, but I know the protein is good for me instead of a full carb-heavy breakfast. These were the best eggs I have ever had. They were fluffy with an excellent seasoning that made me want to have more, instead of want to throw them away. The potatoes were equally as good - I can't say enough about the entire plate, it was perfection. The line moved quickly and the food came out fast, too. I wasn't super impressed with my Matcha Latte, but, there are so many other options on the menu that I know I'll find something else that will be a win.

Yelp
I love all Tatte Bakery locations and that's the main driver for my 5-star rating. But the DuPont Circle location late on a Sunday morning, never again. My friend and I sat at a communal table because it was so packed. My pot of Moroccan mint tea was excellent, and she declared her feta and sundried tomato scone delicious, and loved the honey halvah latte - service was great and super patient. But I don't want to contribute to the mad rush that the servers had to deal with during such a high traffic period, so next time I'll either schedule for later in the day on a weekend or take my order to go (in reusable cups and containers of course).

Yelp
Tatte is just always solid for us. We love this location - bright, welcoming and accessible. Plenty of tables, great service, deep menu with so many delicious offerings. It's the perfect fast casual lunch spot. We will keep coming back.

Yelp
Super cute cafe that's very aesthetically pleasing! There's also a ton of food and beverage options so everyone can enjoy. I came here with my girlfriends and we enjoyed it. There's seating inside, and is dog friendly. I got the egg in a hole with bacon and it was delicious! I also got an iced chai latte which was yummy. You order at the register and they give you a number so they know where to bring the food to, and then it's a self clear.

Yelp
This place was just ok. From the service to the pastries it was just ok. What I will say is this place definitely knows how to do savory dishes in terms of their sweets it was just sugary and lacking in flavor. I would recommend the tomato basil soup though if I came back it would be just for that! It's a cute place with a busy atmosphere and nice scenery though. Drinks didn't wow me either I got a matcha lemonade and a cinnamon latte they were alright. I would come back again though because sometimes establishments have an off day or something but right now this is what I think!

Yelp
Totally lives up to the hype. So good. Very friendly staff. Drinks were unique and tasty. Cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
Came here around 10:30 am on a Friday with my friend. The line was almost out the door (but it's a small space) and it actually moved relatively quickly as I had time to over their menu. I decided to get the chocolate croissant and the short rib & eggplant couscous bowl. It was honestly very hard to choose what I wanted to get because everything sounded so good! All the employees were friendly and organized, having everything moving along efficiently. My friend and I found a spot on the end of the long table by the large window. All of the seating inside was taken and most the outdoor patio was taken as well. The building is so unique. A bit narrow as it's in between 2 diagonal roads. The eating area is so beautiful, it lets in so much natural light and you get a great view of the street. The ambiance is casual and warm. The croissant was delicious! It was large, flaky, and had the perfect amount of chocolate. A perfect chocolate croissant that wasn't too sweet and the best size to me. It only took a few minutes for the food to be ready. It honestly blew my mind, it was so delicious! The short rib was extremely savory and tender. The lentils and couscous were perfectly cooked. I loved the eggplant, sun dried tomatoes, kale and onion. The sweet and savory combo was so well balanced, the pomegranates and parsley relish were the perfect toppings. I wanted to come back every day for my trip! Wish there were locations in California. I want to try everything on the menu eventually. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Food is AMAZING. For the price, it truly is the best coffee shop. I love the pastries as well ad the bigger meals. I HATE tomato soup, but I took a bite of my boyfriends and I HAD to get my own. It was so creamy and fresh. Besides the amazing food, the service is top notch. My favorite part is the big windows that let so much natural light in. It livens the place up. Trust me, you will not have a bad thing here.

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of DC's Dupont circle, this cozy bakery has become my go-to spot for a lazy weekend breakfast. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked goods welcomes you, setting the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed morning. The highlight for me is definitely the baked items. Croissants, chocolate snail, buttermilk biscuits, pistachio Croissants, monkey bread, feta scones, almond scones. It's nothing too fancy, but it's consistently good and pairs perfectly with their delicious breakfast options. Speaking of which, they have a variety of choices to satisfy any craving, whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory. My favorites are Egg in a hole, croissants breakfast sandwich, croque madame, French toast - savory. Greek yogurt and pear jam that comes with Greek style pancakes is delicious. The only downside is that it can get really busy on weekends, so be prepared to wait for a table. Either go early around 10 or ask your partner/friend to find a table while you are in ordering line. However, the wait is always worth it once you take that first sip of coffee and bite into one of their tasty pastries. So many options to choose from and Halva bomb is really good. Overall, if you're looking for a charming bakery with decent coffee and good breakfast options, this place is definitely worth a visit. Just make sure to arrive early to beat the crowds! There's street parking available, again if you are early. If not, just be ready to walk couple of minutes from adjacent parking lots.

Yelp
Cute place with a wide selection of pastries the coolest thing was they have the Cinnabon in a cupcake holder which was so much easier to eat it. They have really good bacon!!!! We had the bacon, eggs with breakfast potatoes and it was delicious. We also had a breakfast sandwich which was with sausage, the sausage was a beef sausage so that was a bit different but tasty. The breakfast sandwich with bacon was delicious, their bread is great. They don't serve sodas just coffee and juice. Cool restaurant with the open air feeling, you pay and take a number and they bring it to you. Kind of self serve with the silverware, napkins and water. I didn't expect that for a breakfast place.
google avatar

Debby J H.

Yelp
This location is always crowded, too crowded . Indoor space is a little narrow but they do have good size of outdoor space . Good selections of fresh food, bakeries, and drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice service and great egg sandwich on fresh croissant. Can't wait to come back tomorrow.
google avatar

Yelp
Very beautiful bakery and cafe! I love finding new coffee shops and I loved that they had a bar with chairs as well as additional seating. I ordered the matcha latte and it was so good. It cooled me down on my very long walk throughout the city. The cashier who took my order was so friendly and warm.
google avatar

Mark N.

Yelp
Excellent food and baked goods. Mix of French classics and Mediterranean fare. Check out the croque madame. Perfect buttery and flaky croissant with salty smoky ham, gruyere and a fried sunny side egg all topped with an amazing mornay sauce. Jerusalem bagels are very good. The housemade pepper cashew (magic!) relish is amazing. Came as a side and we purchased 1/2 pint to go. Prices are reasonable given the DC location and the quality of the food.
google avatar

Liliia C.

Yelp
We always go here just because of that corn shakshuka, it's literally the best breakfast ever But last time we've paid for our breakfast 100$, so I'm not sure if it wasn't better to go to some bougie restaurant instead of the usual bakery
google avatar

Ruth D.

Yelp
Tatte has multiple locations in the DC and surrounding areas. It's French flare is evident. This DuPont location has a bustling atmosphere, and somewhat small size relative to the amount of people coming through. If you like the lively atmosphere you'll love it during peak hours. And if you prefer a more relaxed experience, aim for off-peak hours or come with a smaller group of 2. While the customer service was satisfactory, the kitchen impressively manages the demand. The smoked salmon and avocado tartare, one of my favorites, was delicious and truly hit the spot. Overall, this Tatte location delivered on taste and efficiency for me.

Bahlya Y.

Yelp
I went in for an iced matcha tea and the gatekeeping cashier said a matcha with water is against company policy. That's not right. You should do things the way the customer is asking if the customer is paying and tipping. I planned on tipping. An iced matcha tea is just matcha, cold water and ice cubes. What's so hard about that? Nothing. That's the way you're supposed to do it. Who made this silly policy anyway? A lot of people like matcha and water.
google avatar

Karyn M.

Yelp
There are many locations of Tatte Bakery throughout Boston and DC and we've primarily gone to the West End location and now the DuPont Circle location. What you'll find--stark white decor and cafe tables with amazing baked goods, light and flaky pastries, hot and cold beverages. And crowds. Today was no exception. With the delightfully warm temps, all of the outdoor tables were filled, driving us to dine indoors where it was humid and sweltering, along with the heat from the ovens and the steam from the espresso machines, not to mention the afternoon sun streaming through the large windows. Don't know why my companion ordered me an Americano when I asked for something cold. Dainty little tea cakes were rich, moist and well-flavored with cherry and almond. Drinks were great.
google avatar

Hadley B.

Yelp
Love love LOVE this place! I haven't had a bad food or drink item from here. I love all their croissants. My go to drink is either a chai latte or a vanilla latte. I wish there was more seating! But other than that, I love this place!
google avatar

Charles K.

Yelp
I look this place and wish the chain opened in NYC. They've got good coffee, good baled goods, a bright energetic interior, and a wonderful lunch menu. Fast casual so no table service you order up front and they give you a number. Someone brings the food to you when its ready. Its never a bad idea to stop here.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Think best ever Panera. I'm sure that will irritate someone but it's not exactly a neighborhood bakery when there's an army of bakers behind the glass and it's so far above your typical cafe that it's not really fair to call it a cafe either. A spectacular location with black and white tile to capitalize on sunlight streaming through windows opening out to the bustling neighborhood. And the best ever bakery treats. Get yourself a pistachio croissant and thank me later! Whatever catches your fancy will certainly be the best one you've ever had.
google avatar

Sharika M.

Yelp
Came here for a quick grab and go. I got the berry tart pastry which was amazing. Came again the next morning for breakfast. All the entrees are reasonably priced and nutrition dense. Corn, zucchini and potato bowl - $12.50 Corn, zucchini, and snap peas, sautéed with pee wee potatoes and basil, served over corn cream. Topped with a poached egg* and Parmesan. Served with toasted housemade sourdough. PERFECT FOR THE FALL!!!
google avatar

George H.

Yelp
The food is good and the service is efficient -- it's a coffee shop that also does brunch food, so come here for the vibes and a quick pastry, not a culinary adventure or a nice meal. The terrible thing is that this location is always JAM-PACKED, even on weekday mornings. It's tough to get a table, and it's even tougher to enjoy a conversation with a friend, what with all the bustling and cries of "following guest!" from the register.
google avatar

ella k.

Yelp
Delicious perfectly cooked eggs with freshest sourdough toast and tomato jam. Fast and friendly.

Yelp
Tatte Like Latte Was the Highlight Of My DC Trip! I Went A Total Of 3 Times In My 4 Day Stay. Upon Walking In, The Vibe Gave Upscale Casual Café. We Went Around 11am And The Bakery Was Full To The Brim With People, Yet The Service Was Fast And The People Were Kind. There Was A Large Assortment Of Patries And Dessert Ready To Go! We Ordered A Seasonal Heart Mousse Dessert, A Raspberry Filled Donut, Pistachio Croissant, Linzer Cookie And The Amazing Croque Madame! Everything Was Fresh And Tasted Amazing! If You Are Needing A Quick And Delicious Breakfast Or Snack Tatte Is Your Place!
google avatar

Yia-Ming L.

Yelp
Really nice clean modern bakery/cafe with baked goods, brunch food, coffee, and tea. The cafe's way of service was a bit unique compared to other brunch spots I've been to. When we entered the cafe, we were greeted by a great amor of baked pastry and a small table with a stack of menus. The pastry case was located right next to the cashier. We ordered our teas and lattes, lox bagel, BLT, and shakshuka from the menu and a pain au chocolat from the pastry case. We were given the pain au chocolat with a table number. After we got the table number, we picked a nice spot to dine in. The wait was short and a staff bought our food to us. The chai I got wasn't strong but super creamy.
google avatar

Philip J.

Yelp
Great food good service. A bit crowded. This place is always packed, I came back here for lunch and tried what my friend got last time, the roasted Salmon vegetable and rice bowl... it was perfection! The Matcha Latte was legit and tasted great. The server got my order wrong and brought out a salmon sandwich, but he made it right. It is a bit pricey, but hard to find such good quality food and service. You order at the front and get a number so they can deliver the food to wherever you are sitting. Outdoor seating is available. The restrooms are clean and stocked. Nice place to sit down and sip coffee downtown.

Yelp
PROS: This is a hot spot for all the locals. Food is good, prices are amazing, fast service, and the staff is nice. food seems to be fresh and they have free wifi CONS: They only have one person bathrooms which can cause a backup. The seated areas inside are cramped to walk by as well OVERALL: I will be coming back here when in the area again. I think this a great breakfast place. The best part is they serve brunch all day
google avatar

David Y.

Yelp
I had a tasty sandwich at Tatte the other day. I ordered a turkey BLAT ($13), which I can best describe as sturdy. Two thick slices of hearty multigrain bread surround layers of turkey, bacon, and avocado. I had initially thought that the sandwich was a bit small, yet it turned out to be the perfect size. With Tatte's seemingly on every block of DC, I think it's earned a characterization as a convenient and delicious cafe.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
Tatte has several locations in the Dv area, and we tried four of them during our 3 weeks in DC. With its consistent excellent food selections and service, Tatte quickly became our favorite breakfast Go-To. The different locations vary in size, but the vibe is always upbeat with engaged diners. Our favorite breakfasts were the Traditional Shakshuka, Lamb Hash, and Smoke Salmon and Avocado Tartime. We tried other breakfasts that were also delicious, but those stood out to us. The mark of an excellent "chain" is what the meal taste and quality and service are consistent at every venue!
google avatar

Suzanna D.

Yelp
What an awesome place for the food, service, and ambiance!! We enjoyed a chocolate croissant, cinnamon pecan rose, cafe au lait, and fresh squeezed OJ. We would definitely come here, again.
google avatar

Katie T.

Yelp
Tatte Bakery has been popping up all over the DMV over the last few years and I'm not mad about it. My only gripe is that they are so popular that it's incredibly difficult to find seating anywhere. It's not the bakery's fault though that it attracts so many visitors. I'd recommend to visit either early in the morning or during non-peak hours. I find parking really hard to find in this part of DuPont Circle but sometimes I get lucky finding parking on the other side of Connecticut Ave. Pastries here are always delicious. I got the pistachio croissant and kouign amann and they were excellent.
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us by someone at our hotel based on their proximity as well as availability of gluten-free items. It was a short walk from our hotel. It was very busy when we arrived for a late breakfast. Things were a little chaotic as everyone seemed to be trying to figure out the ordering process. There were menus lying on a table by the door but they weren't very noticeable. There was a separate menu dedicated to their gluten-free items but it was mixed in with all the others. Once we placed our order, we received a number and went to sit outside on the patio. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Everything was prepared as requested and tasted delicious! Now that we know what to expect with the ordering process, I would not hesitate to go back again! Pro-tip: There was another location a few blocks up that did not appear to be as busy.
google avatar

Shashi B.

Yelp
I really loved this place. The staff where extremely welcoming and excellent in their service. On a Friday morning the place was bustling and to around 7:30 a.m. there are a lot of places to park around. I chose a street parking place instead of the parking garage and it was pretty reasonable. I ate the salmon and avocado burger. Tasted very well. The coffee was awesome! There are enough seats and you may even have to share with a stranger if you're alone. A lot of people seem to get carry out on their way to work.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Tatte for a quick brunch. Beautiful, cozy cafe with lots of comfortable seating and so many great pastry options and delicious lattes. The star was their sharkshuka. I loved that they topped it with feta and served with a side of toasted sourdough.
google avatar

Roxy C.

Yelp
I didn't get to try much since I was full from lunch, but I needed my afternoon pick-me-up and decided to try Tatte. I got their iced sesame latte and iced pistachio latte. My goodness, both lattes were so good! Perfect amount of sweetness and milk. 10/10 would come back next time I'm in town!
google avatar

Maria O.

Yelp
I've been randomly passing this place by ad it always has the biggest line, but I marked it to finally try. Oh well, I should have done it sooner!! Not sure what to start with- love the ambience, sweet and relaxing as a proper morning should be. You are welcomed when you come in, should I say more? Very nice people at the registers and servers too. Great vibes. Plenty of food from pastries to desserts and everything looks and smells super delicious. No wonder they are so popular! Many breakfast options but I decided to go with salmon, egg, avocado breakfast sandwich and it was bomb!! Those buns were the fluffiest and thinnest (didn't weight anything) I've tried in a while- Great bread selection (secretly hopes you make it yourself too), plenty of salmon and avocado inside. Capers and onion but not over the top! Overall, great taste and for ingredients in a sandwich it's a 100% match. LOVE this. Can't wait to try the whole menu! P.s. as a coffee maniac, I should say great coffee! I think they serve Stumptown beans, and it's a must try!

This seems like a nice local coffee shop and bakery. It smells very nice inside. The latter I ordered is very good - no bitterness at all. Good flavor. Tastes kind of like a very good coffee icecream, but better. The pastries on the display are very tempting - I had to pass. There is an outside seating area. The patrons were doing coffee shop stuff like working on their laptops, or eating, and talking. It seems to be a comfortable place. Friendly but not overbearing staff.

Yelp
I love Tatte but come on, this is not $8 worth of yogurt and fruit. Maybe 5. This is their muesli, to go

Yelp
Great coffee and work spot in the heart of DC. Plenty of outdoor seating in the morning, but come early for a plan. Time to find a table if you want to sit inside. Delicious almond croissant. Service OK. Coffee OK, but nothing special.
