Food was very good, atmosphere was a bit loud if you’re wanting to get work done. Ordered tomato basil (phenomenal), shakshuka (eggs slightly undercooked, less seasoned than other versions I’ve had), almond and pistachio croissants (pistachio was the winner), sausage breakfast sandwich, and a large latte. Latte was solid (unsweetened, perfect). Would definitely get latte, tomato basil and pistachio croissant again!

Google
It was funny that we came here since it was raining cats and dogs outside. We ordered a pistachio latte, orange upside down cake, flatbread Tomato mozzarella sandwich and tiramisu. No complains about taste, everything tasted great! The ambience was awesome, very picture worthy. However, the seating is not very friendly for larger crowds.

Google
Was looking for a sit down breakfast but when I got here it was absolutely crowded , so I decided to do take out : it was certainly faster and I enjoyed my goodies and coffee outdoors . This was a really good looking store with a very well presented display of goodies . They have lots of gluten free options to choose from including gf muffins , tea cakes , cookies and meringue. Their regular offerings are equally vast with croissants and breads and many other breakfast pastries . I chose a pistachio filled croissant with an iced coffee . Croissant looked amazing in the display but for me it fell a bit short in flavor . Seemed too plain for me . Also got two gf tea cakes : raspberry and a Halva sesame . These were really good and considering how hard it is to find good gf baked good they were better than the croissant . Worth stopping in early if you want a table otherwise take out is the way to go .

Love their iced pistachio latte with oat milk. It’s my favorite. Always a pleasure. The lines are long around 10 am during the week so I placed mobile order to expedite the order

I was in Boston for a business trip and one of my colleagues happened to stumble upon Tatte. He raved about the coffee and the pastries, so I had to try it. I ordered a coffee and the raspberry, pistachio tart. It was amazing! The coffee was incredible. Rich, smooth, flavorful. Not too hot to drink. It’s everything you imagine a high end coffee should be. The tart was delicious. Full of flavor, not overly flakey. Just perfect. This will be my go to spot on my next trip to Boston.

Google
The food was good. I ordered the coffee cake and a bacon egg and cheese. The ordering system is a tad messy in my opinion, you come up to the till and you pick what you want like a usual cafe, but there’s so much on the menu that it’s a bit overwhelming. I’d recommend looking at the menu beforehand. They offer you a physical menu at the counter but I felt a tad rushed to read that at the front of the line. My boyfriend ordered an espresso and didn’t have enough time to read that it was a tiny cup (he’s used to Dunkin Donuts’ larger portions) So he was pretty displeased.😬 All in all, I think I’d need a second trip at a different location.

Google
Their matcha latte was very good and they had a really good iced coffee and a self serve coffee bar.

Google
Popped in here for a quick breakfast, cappuccino was strong, almond croissant was as always perfection, my husband got the macchiato and a cinnamon bun, coffee again strong, bun was ok, a little dry but good flavor. Staff was very kind and watching Boston enjoy breakfast and community was my favorite. All walks of life happen in this café!

Yelp
We liked Tatte so much that over a quick visit to Boston we visited twice! This spot is an absolute gem! Everything we tried, whether sweet or savory, was outstanding and truly hit the mark. The menu strikes a perfect balance between comforting classics and creative, unique flavors that surprise and delight. Even the more unexpected combinations were just as impressive as the familiar favorites. For me, the savory standout was the leek and potato quiche - it was perfectly executed, with a buttery crust and rich, flavorful filling that left me wanting more. On the sweet side, the apple crumble pie stole the show. The warm, spiced apples paired with the perfectly crumbly topping created a dessert that felt like a hug in every bite. This place knows how to do it right and the staff were all super friendly as well.

Yelp
Place is really nice and spacious with plenty of tables and even a small nook area if you want to be alone or not be disturbed while working with your computer. They have a separate bar for coffees but ordering is in one place which is beside the pastries. I ordered a flat white and a plain croissant, and they gave me a number. My order arrived quickly at my table which was great. The croissant was buttery and flaky, but I wish I'd asked them to toast it as it was a little on the cold side. The flat white was good, though I was hoping for some latte art based on the photos I'd seen online, so that was a bit of a letdown. They have a variety of other food options on the menu, and next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely be giving their Shakshuka a try.

Yelp
You order up front and pick up your drinks at the bar afterwards and they hand your pastry to you right away. The black sesame latte with oat milk was great! The flavor of black sesame was not too strong, but you could still taste it. Typically a black sesame latte can be a hit or miss, but they did a really job with this one. The blueberry pastry was also yummy and paired nicely with the drinks. The blueberries were fresh and the cream was not too sweet. The meringue was also the perfect texture. Would come back!

Yelp
Not a bad experience. Just didn't like how small the location is. Let's jump right into this review. This is a quick one. I was in Boston for work and after my "wow" experience at Tatte Bakery in Washington, DC; I knew I had to try a location in Boston. Since Boston is where Tatte originated. A co-worker and I set out on a mile walk to Tatte. We were interested in desert only, specifically the cheesecake. Once we arrived, there was a line that employees were greeting and servicing with speed. Kudos to the employees. We ordered our cheesecake - to go. What we had was - Strawberry & Raspberry Cheesecake - Creamy cheesecake made with fresh Israeli cheese and a rich buttery crumb topped with raspberries and strawberries. (350 cal, Contains: Wheat, Milk, Egg) - $7.50 The location is small on the inside #cramp. I definitely wouldn't dine at this location. After dining in the location in DC you would understand why the space/size of this location was not what I expected. There are tables and chairs outside and bar type seating inside (not much). My interaction with employees was minimum. I was greeted and served promptly. I was in and out. I won't rate customer service. I prefer to have more than a three minute interaction to rate the level of customer service at an establishment. Would I return, probably (likely), maybe try a different location in Boston. Or order and go would be my preferred option. The cheesecake is definitely worth the pull-up.

Yelp
Very small inside space that isn't kept as clean as you'd hope by staff (tho patrons are also at fault). The coffee and baked goods are delish. The shakshuka I wonder if it is pre-made and they just reheat it with eggs because when I asked for a simple modifier for the chili oil they said they can't. Which was very odd. Like if you are making it in house and it is "topped by chili oil" it leads me to believe it can be there or not. The guy was very rude but the women working there are so sweet. I wish there was more seating, it fills very fast and doesn't seem like it uses the space well. Also almost no outlets so many people working on laptops but if they die, you die. (Jkjkjk but actually). Service can be a little slow and pricey but again for the coffee it's worth it. The chai latte is not good though, it's water that barely tastes like tea let alone chai. Even when I checked under the lid. Idk if they messed up and thought to just pass it on to me to not notice until I was back in my office but a bummer. Pastries? Yum. Shakshuka? Yum (need more bread!! But bread is also yum). Music? Chill and nice! It's a nice place to read if you can find a seat! Oh and the grilled cheese is also very nice and yum!

Yelp
This place used to be good (2021), but on my most recent visits I was not impressed. The pastries didn't taste very fresh (soggy croissants and kouign aman) and the breakfast sandwich was underwhelming/not memorable. Shakshuka was plainly bad (no flavor, eggs weren't well cooked) and once I waited over 40 minutes for avocado toast because they kept forgetting/losing my order. Coffee was fine, but I wouldn't say the coffee quality could compensate for the rest of my grievances. Maybe will give it a try in another 3 years.

Yelp
This coffee is a must try! I tried both the Tatte house latte and the pistachio latte and both were innovative and tasty! Over the two I liked the pistachio more. The food was alright-just a breakfast sandwich, nothing special.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
After trying many lattes in the city during our weekend stay this one was just alright. I had the pistachio latte. The texture is what I didn't love. It's made with real pistachios making the texture kinda chunky. The coffee itself was good. I love the vibe- very fresh and clean. The line moved quick and the barista was cranking out lattes- it was fun to watch.

Yelp
Brief Summary: - Coffee is not sour - Indoor and outdoor seating available Arriving first thing in the early morning and we were looking for a place to eat. We have searched around online before landing, and I was looking for cafes. This was listed in one of the places we wanted to go, and was surprised to see multiple of them across Boston. We chose the one on the way to our destination. I ordered a latte and a bagel sandwich with smoked salmon. I enjoyed the latte, and I also got to take a sip from the house brewed coffee. Not sour either, so that was a great start of the morning. For the smoked sandwich, fillings inside slid along but I enjoyed the texture of the alfalfa with the softer textures of the egg, avocado, and the smoked salmon. I was slightly disappointed that the bagel wasn't toasted, so the texture ratio was overall softer and more chew than if the bagel was toasted.

Yelp
Yummy breakfast. Didn't expect it to be middle eastern-influenced American cafe food, a combo that worked way better than I would have expected. The pita with haloumi cheese and the scrambled eggs with tomatoes and whipped feta were hits with my family, and my wife enjoyed her chai latte.
google avatar

Kristely N.

Yelp
Love the halva brownie. So rich in flavor. Tatte is always beautifully decorated. Lots of seating. My friend got the salad and enjoyed it!
google avatar

Mark J.

Yelp
Stopped by for something sweet. Picked up a brownie, apple cake, and chocolate pound cake. Tatte is pricey but the baked goods are pretty good. The brownie and apple cake were delicious but the chocolate pound cake was disappointing. It was dry and overbaked.
google avatar

Andie S.

Yelp
I go to Tatte almost every day to get coffee on my way to work. I get an iced caramel latte with oat milk and it's always absolutely perfect. I love getting lunch here with a friend during the work day as well. Their salads, sandwiches and breakfast plates are very very good. The menu has a large selection of meals and tons of healthy stuff. I'm so glad we have so many of these in Boston, they're a gem!

Yelp
We dined here out of pure convenience as it was located right next to our hotel -- and let me tell you, I am soooo happy we found this place. It is beyond delicious, convenient, and so cute! We opted to eat out of the bakery case versus ordering from the restaurant menu since we weren't too hungry and in a rush. It was amazing, so good that we ate here both mornings of our trip. The ham and cheese croissant was one of the better ones I've ever had. But the feta and pistachio pita - wow! So different from the usual fixings, basically like eating a little pizza for breakfast without any judgement. I'll definitely miss this spot now that we are home. Couldn't recommend it more to those in Boston! It seems to be a chain with plenty of spots around town.
google avatar

Denise C.

Yelp
The best bakery in Boston, Massachusetts, you have to stop by if you're in town and stop by for pastry and latte. Must get pistachio croissant !!! It's so good and one of a kind. I'm so in love
google avatar

Chloe B.

Yelp
It's alright - came here on a not-busy day to do some work, and there's not much seating. The ambiance is echoey which makes it hard to work. Staff is not that personable, but could be the east coast. Food is a 3/5 - coffee was watered down. Sandwich was alright, but for $13 I could get better elsewhere. It's a chain, so while there are alot of locations, I would not stop at another. There's better independent shops out there.
google avatar

H G.

Yelp
Great coffee and amazing chocolate mousse. All the pastries and desserts looked great - it was hard to choose.
google avatar

Jen P.

Yelp
Delicious coffee and baked goods! My husband and I had the cold brew- delicious! The kids split a plain croissant, I had the linzer tart, and husband had monkey bread. All amazing. Super cute atmosphere inside, despite it being packed.
google avatar

Shayna E.

Yelp
GOOD food, like really good! Yes, you might wait in a line, but it moves fast! They have tons of baked goods and a menu filled with options for everyone (gluten free, vegan, vegetarian) I am in love and will be back every time I'm in Boston
google avatar

Andilee J.

Yelp
Coffee is amazing! A taste of home as they serve Stumptown coffee from Portland, Oregon. Breakfast is as good, however the Gluten Friendly breakfast sandwich left much to be desired. A real strong Mediterranean flavor and the sandwich was missing the arugula and fried egg. Service was great though, as the staff tried to make amends for the missing sandwich ingredients. Ambiance and aesthetic are cute. Moderately loud and be prepared to stake out and hover until a table opens up.

Alice Y.

Yelp
Beautiful pastries. The croissant is butter but a bit on the dense side. We went on a snowy Saturday and it was crowded inside. Overall a pleasant atmosphere
google avatar

Andrew P.

Yelp
This place was a perfect meeting spot for my friends for a brunch. It's casual, but the inside is still nice, open, and plenty of natural lighting. This location is right in downtown so expect a lot of people to be here, particularly those in the office workforce. The staff who took our orders wasn't really the friendliest, but they got our orders taken care of, and eventually we would all receive it. Their water cup system wasn't the best. The water wasn't flowing out since it was low and I asked the lady who had taken my order but she just pointed back at the spot where I got the water and didn't say much. Luckily someone came and started refilling it, but essentially getting water here was difficult. I would've been okay with just buying a bottled water at that point.
google avatar

Catherine N.

Yelp
We found our way here because of its gluten free recommendations. And I'm told they did not disappoint. In fact, we went here on back to back days because of its selections and overall freshness of the food. The inside is very aesthetically pleasing + love the exposed white brick walls and the displays of sweets is pretty stunning. We enjoyed sandwiches, desserts, cappuccinos-- everything was delicious. Wishing we had one here in Toronto to be honest! Such a great spot.
google avatar

Ray M.

Yelp
At Tatte there is always something new to try. We come here a lot. Sometimes just for a nice pastry and sometimes for a beautiful breakfast. Tatte is just a generally relaxing and pretty place. I love the black and white look! The Staff are super nice. They are always helping and just being super friendly in general. I definitely recommend Tatte for anyone who just wants to have a great start into the day.
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
Yummy pastries and there are lots of tables making it a good work from home spot (although it can be a little loud). It's got a clean and trendy vibe
google avatar

Katie H.

Yelp
This tatte is more spacious than others I have been to! Used to adore their breakfast biscuit but it appears they changed the biscuit recipe and hiked up the price so I ventured for the breakfast sandy which was delish and filling! Will be ordering again. Not pictured, we also shared the cherry tarte with pistachio topping and it was
google avatar

Charlie T.

Yelp
A good place to get your morning cup off coffee and some pastries or something more substantial. The place is pretty busy in the mornings with people placing their coffee orders. I enjoyed the pistachio croissant as it was well made. The inside has a mixture of pistachio and cream, which added to the tastiness of it. I also noticed that they used Stumptown beans, which was pretty cool.
google avatar

Vaishu M.

Yelp
I came here for a breakfast one morning and Tatte did not disappoint! The pastry I had was so good. So buttery and just the right amount of sweetness. Matcha latte was good as well, not too sweet. Ambiance in the morning was perfect for getting some work done. Highly recommend any Tatte location!!
google avatar

Shemesh Y.

Yelp
Hair and dust in my croissant! Also, made an order of food (for 4 people), bakery items, and 4 hot coffees - when came time to punch the loyalty card, the cashier refused to punch more than once (do I really need to split the order to 4??)..
google avatar

Yelp
Great breakfast place good coffee bar nice assortment of breakfast sandwiches. The pastry display is nice specially if you have a sweet tooth. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Yelp
"To Inspire, Care for, and Nurture life. Every Day." Tattee Bakery & Café quickly became my favorite "Central Perk" kind of place to frequently visit & spend time at. With their steadfast growth, Tatte has become quite the household name in these parts of New England in particular the Greater Boston area. Authentic, creative, full of personality, built from the ground up with passion & a wonderful story, I am truly thrilled to have a business such as Tatte Bakery & Café so close to home. And the food speaks for itself of course...!!! Breakfast Sandwich Can't go wrong with a good well made breakfast sandwich. And theirs is certainly one of my favorites. Eggs made your style, delicious Vermont Cheddar & crispy applewood smoked bacon on their incredibly housemade sourdough bread. Simply delectable. Scrambled Egg Plate (Prosciutto & Parmesan) They had me at Prosciutto. Delightful, soft & fluffy eggs scrambled with parmesan delivering that nice cheesy kick. Served with a fine cut of prosciutto and of course their housemade sourdough bread... toasted! Most definitely one of my go to choices. (GF option available as well) Smoked Salmon & Avocado Tartine "Are you feeling it now Mr. Crabs!!!" I mean my goodness this dish is incredible. The term Tartine is French and used to describe any open-faced sandwich, and you'll find some of the best ones in Europe. Luckily for us, we can find it right here in our great city of Boston. If you're a fan of smokes salmon, then this is the dish for you. Delicious pairings that make each bite an explosion of flavors that you simply can't wait to take next bite. Smoked salmon with avocado, Campari tomatoes, red onion, capers, and dill tossed with olive oil and served over... you guessed it, their toasted housemade sourdough with a delicious green herbed dressing. (GF option available as well) Traditional Tomato & Bell Pepper Shakshuka Just like mother used to make em! Shakshuka's are a classic Middle Eastern dish traditionally made with eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, onion and garlic, commonly spiced with cumin, paprika and cayenne pepper. Tatte's Tomatoe & Basil Shashuka took me years back to hose early mornings waking up to mother cooking up a storm in our kitchen with some heavenly aromas floating around the house. Good times!! Served with fresh housemade challah, I am so guilty of just dipping the bread in the pan and just savoring every last bit of the delicious tomato sauce. As for all us coffee drinkers... all their beverages are made with love Inspired & founded by Tzurit Or, through her creative mind & passion, Tatte Bakery has managed to not only cultivate a thriving business, but also introduced a simple yet luminous way to bring people together via fantastic food & delicious baked pastries while also accommodating a great sense of comfort.

Yelp
TATTE is a coffee shop I would go back to time and time again. I went for the first time MDW and was so pleasantly surprised. There was a line going thru the door, but it moved fast. The atmosphere is so adorable in there. I will be going back to another location in the future. Food is amazing
google avatar

Wendy C.

Yelp
OKAY JUST STOP RIGHT THERE! TURN AROUND AND HEAD HERE if you are looking for something sweet I live for fresh croissants and baked goods and the Tatte Bakery doesn't disappoint. I loved their pistachio croissant (with a frangipani filling) They also have a pistachio latte - unfortunately I didn't get to try it - but my colleague said it was amazing. I had the black sesame latte - something new for me - and it was earthy, nutty and slightly sweet. I was only in town for two mornings, but this is on my short list next time I am in Boston!
google avatar

Suzzette M.

Yelp
I fell in love instantly. The atmosphere, smells, and the AMAZING coffee and foods are unreal! Their tag line is Elegant Comfort Food, and I get allll of that. Before I ordered anything to eat, we were greeted. Everyone we encountered was SO nice and friendly! It was a VERY cold and rainy weekend. I did not pack accordingly. I was planning on going to a shop to get a hoodie and noticed they sold sweatshirts there. Lol I ended up snagging the comfiest and cutest sweatshirt (that was also very fairly priced!)! Then I stepped up and probably looked like a deer in headlights. LOL The woman told me a few of her favorites. I went with a vanilla latte and roasted strawberry turnover. The latte was the right amount of subtle sweetness (didn't taste like syrup) and was velvety in my mouth. The turnover was to die for! It was so good! Flaky, not dry and falling apart, yummy strawberries, and the glaze stayed on the turnover. While I waited for my friend to eat, I ended up going back to the counter for an Kouign-amann ! It was SOO good. I wanted more, but I managed to control myself. It was busy, but the line moves very fast. Everything being served looked so delicious! I wish we had gone earlier in our trip, we would have ended up stopping there every day!!
google avatar

Kelly P.

Yelp
Well, the food was really good. They didn't have the croissant I wanted, and couldn't make the same sandwich on different bread, so I got the biscuit. It was really, really good. Lots of butter, but good. I ordered a coffee that they never gave to me (my boyfriend asked for it on my behalf later-plain coffee they give to you at the register, fancy coffee is at the coffee bar, and food they bring to your table). It was very crowded and busy, b it they have a large community table and some seating was available outside, though it was too cod for us. Definitely a popular place to stop!

David P.

Yelp
the blonde French manager with glasses was incredibly rude. opened the store late and didn't say a word when she opened the door and couldn't be bothered with simple questions when asked.
google avatar

Cindy N.

Yelp
Where to begin!! This place is amazing!! We went for breakfast and then came back for dessert! The latte's, breakfast's items were very good and dessert was delicious. We also bought the brown butter almond cookies. I wish I had bought one to bring home.
google avatar

Jaclyn L.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my quiche, though the edge of the crust was a little burned. My almond croissant was divine and the perfect size. Everyone else enjoyed their meal too. I would definitely come back
google avatar

Stephanie Q.

Yelp
I love Tatte so much, I sometimes go there multiple times a day. I love all their breakfast sandwiches, lunch plates and salads. Their pastries and deserts are to die for. I came to this location for breakfast and it was easy to find seating. Love tatte!!
google avatar

Dave M.

Yelp
While in town for business, I joined a group of colleagues for a quick breakfast before our meetings. We arrived around 7:30am on a Thursday and there was no line. The place is beautiful and the bakery goods on display when you walk in will have you drooling before you even look at a menu. There were a lot of staff on hand and they were all friendly and helpful. I ordered their Muesli. I am a Greek yogurt snob but this was to die for! The honey yogurt combo with fresh fruit was a great way to start the day. I also got an Americano and, having lived in Portland OR for 15 years, it was great to see that they use Stumptown beans. My only regret was that I didn't go their for breakfast the day before!
google avatar

Cheryl T.

Yelp
We were walking around the neighborhood and needed a quick coffee stop. I looked on Google Maps and saw Tatte was nearby so we stopped by. Super cute coffee shop / bakery. Almost didn't even notice the shop when we were walking by but I was happy when we walked in. The food and pastries looked delicious! We just ate so we didnt order any food. I ordered a dirty chai with almond milk and it was delicious. Exactly what i needed for a little pick me up. Would love to return to Tatte to try some food next time i'm in the area.

Annette H.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast experience with many unique menu items. I had the lamb hash breakfast which was fantastic. And the house latte was just perfect and beautifully presented. I'll be back next time I'm in Boston. It's a busy place but the staff is helpful and efficient.
google avatar

Maryann K.

Yelp
I love Tatte. I was visiting on a business trip and breakfast wasn't until 8:30. I was famished after an early workout and placed an online order to pick up right when they opened. Matcha latte was super good and it truly was extra hot just as I requested. I love that Tatte has gluten free sandwiches and the bread they use is quite good. My breakfast sandwich was big, delicious and overall amazing. Staff are friendly.
google avatar

David J.

Yelp
Outstanding food. Outstanding coffee (cappuccino). Clean and beautiful space. Wish there was some in CT. Stamford/Greenwich. My second time visiting Boston and boy do I love it

Michelle H.

Yelp
We went for breakfast the Tatte Bakery, and the food is delish! The quiches was amazing, as were the croissants. The lack of seating and looud atmosphere toook away from the experience, but the quality made up for it. The coffee is great, and there was lot's oof outdoor seating. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
Honestly, if I could give this place, more stars I would. It's such a cute little breakfast place/bakery. Thankfully, we made it in before the Saturday morning rush, but by the time we left, the line was out the door, and for good reason. The jelly, donut, whether you like them, or not, is an absolute must! Their actual cooked breakfast/brunch, options are phenomenal. I would literally eat breakfast here every day if I could!
google avatar

Allie G.

Yelp
Tatte is a Boston staple, and it's easy to see why. We stopped by to grab breakfast on a Monday morning, and found the place way less busy than expected (only one party in front of us in line). I ordered the Halloumi Sunny-Side Breakfast Sandwich, my boyfriend ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, and we both got Iced Matcha Lattes. We grabbed a little round table across from the barista, and our drinks were ready almost immediately. The sandwiches didn't take long either and both were absolutely delicious! I loved the bread especially - both my challah roll and his sourdough. The Matcha Lattes were excellent too and not sweet at all (perfect for me). Absolutely will be back the next time I'm in Boston!
google avatar

Magda C.

Yelp
Food is ok, pastries don't look very fresh like French bakeries but desserts are ok, very sweet though. For the tart to try I got the smoked salmon one, not really worth it $12 for a slice of bread.
google avatar

Tricia W.

Yelp
Recently tried tatte for lunch on one of my days in office. This place is right across the street so easy choice. Ordering online was super easy. Loved that they had pictures of all items. I chose the grilled cheese and opted to add bacon. Pick up estimate was pretty accurate. My one complaint was there isn't a separate line for online orders. I had to stand in-line while others put in their orders. Back at office I unwrapped the largest grilled cheese I've seen. The flavors were fireworks in my mouth. The cheeses were so good w the sun dried tomatoes. But as you can see in picture one cheese slice wasn't truly melted. The bread was perfectly toasted. I wouldn't have minded a tiny hit of heat to break it up tho. I can't remember the drink I got but it was light and refreshing. Cost was on par for being in the city. I definitely will be back!
