D.C. Cafes and Restaurants With Free Wi-Fi | Eater DC

"The Boston cafe expanded into the D.C. area in 2020 and doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon. Stop by at any of its locations, with another in CityCenter on the way, for halloumi breakfast sandwiches, shakshuka, and Israeli-influenced pastries, and linger for the free Wi-Fi. Its weekend brunch fills up fast, so getting in some work on the weekdays is the perfect time to find an empty seat." - Kalina Newman

Tatte Café in Reston is a gem when it comes to food — everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of thought goes into the menu, and it really delivers. The atmosphere is also a big plus — comfortable, and perfect for catching up with friends or just relaxing with a coffee. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. While the staff was friendly, things moved a bit slowly, especially during busy times. That said, the overall experience was still very enjoyable, and I’ll definitely be back!

Google
Tatte Bakery in Reston offers a beautiful space and delicious food—everything from the pastries to the coffee is thoughtfully made and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. That said, the service could be more attentive and efficient, and cleanliness (especially around tables and restrooms) could use some improvement. Still, the quality of the food and overall vibe make it worth a visit.

Google
Café Tatte has a lovely and inviting atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating—it’s truly a delightful space to relax. The quality of everything is exceptional. I especially loved the espresso mocha mousse and the cinnamon pecan rose; both were absolutely delicious. The coffee is consistently excellent and well-made. That said, the service could use improvement. Unfortunately, it often takes quite a long time to receive your order, even during quieter hours. One ongoing issue is that the staff don’t use trays to serve the drinks, which frequently results in spills. Serving coffee with trays would not only be cleaner but also more professional and efficient than carrying the cups by hand.

This place is darling with the decor and all of the baked goods on display. You order at the counter and take a number to a table, they will bring you your food. It’s on the pricey side, but it’s delicious. The croissant sandwich is something I dream of! Baked goods across the board are delightful. Bussing your own table is a bummer. Parking is difficult, paid street or paid parking garage.

Went with a friend to catch a quick lunch. Delicious pastries and sandwiches but definitely on the pricey side. Taking off a star for service because you have to clean the tables yourself which not all customers knew about. Also taking one star off because space is very loud. Not really recommended if you’re sensitive to crowds and noise. Otherwise, it was a good experience and delicious bakery for this area.

Google
They are truthful when they say it’s what’s on the inside that counts !!! The place is beautifully decorated, in an excellent location with great views (small) and chic ! The bakery spread was excellent as well - we had the Expresso mocha Mousse and the passion fruit krembo as well as the coffee mousse (forgot the name) which were all literally to die for good !! What they really lacked was service, 3 people at the billing counters but no one even bothered to talk to any customers (there were over 5 people inside all wondering what’s up) - only one counter was billing and we all had to wait, rude cashier who wouldn’t still bother to look at anybody and took her sweet time to bill each of us (all wanted to go orders) as all tables were dirty ! I truly feel a coffee place needs to be pleasant - I love their desserts but would probably stick to ordering off door dash for future !! I truly hope management looks at the staff and making sure they are happy and trained !! Whoever is in the kitchen are doing the magic of keeping the place awesome !

Google
The ambience is amazing at this cafe. this time, the service was not very pleasant, though. I ordered a cappuccino, the fava plate which was mediocre and the pear tart which was too dry, not fresh. even though i came in more than an hour before closing, the staff kept asking me to leave way before closing time.

Google
Lovely coffee and delicious large shakshouka but the staff need to switch it up. One girl making so much noise putting the clean cutlery away. When I told her there was no water in one of the filling stations she directed me to use the other. I told her it had been empty for two hours and she shrugged me off and still didn’t fill it up. Instead she carried on chatting with her friend before playing on her phone and drinking her coffee whilst starring into nothing. My dirty plate sat next to me for over two hours and no one took it away despite it not being busy. Sadly half of the staff today (05.28) have soiled this experience. The other half were good but sadly their hard work was also spoiled by the other half.

Yelp
Tatte is pumping life back into Reston Town Center. That area of the town center had not been thriving for some time, but the wine place and Tatte seem to have helped its resurgence. Both indoor and outdoor tables looked packed. We had breakfast and dessert and both did not disappoint. I recommend the shakshuka that was perfect in every way: flavor, eggs, presentation. I love a fast casual place with dining room staff. These places definitely deserve the tip.

Yelp
Tattes are all over the DC area. This one was definitely nice to visit. The drinks were good! The usual Tatte quality level. Got an almond croissant- it would've been better warmed up (not sure if they do that). The service was great. We got the wrong drink but they fixed it right away, no issues. Plenty of room to sit, lots of light. There's some parking around the area, but you have to look.

Yelp
I ordered through DoorDash And the service is great! The food arrived on time and the food was just absolutely fantastic! it was my first time ordering from here and it was beyond my expectations!! they listened to every instruction that I provided, which appreciated and a lot of restaurants do not so that was a big plus! I ordered the croquet monsieur on a croissant with the mornay on the side. I also ordered the turkey BLAT without tomato/onion relish and no sriracha mayo. In addition to that, I ordered a Blueberry, Beet, & Ricotta salad with extra dressing on the side and NO candied cashews, and NO pickled onions...which they kinda listened to. I thought the food was amazing and I would love to try this food out in person! I would love to try this food out in person and see what the vibe is inside the restaurant one day!! I would definitely go here again!!!!

Yelp
The drinks and bakery items are costly. Clearly, the price hike is to pay for their rent and aesthetics. I wouldn't have minded, except they were out of too many drink items. Their decaf latte, which I got as backup, was okay. Their yogurt melange cookie was dope. Not $3 a cookie dope, though. Too expensive for the hype.
google avatar

Yelp
Disclaimer: I ordered through a third party but have been wanting to try Tatte! They packaged the items very nicely and it made it safely to me in one piece. Great service points for that! The dark chocolate muffin appeared dry at first glance but it was delicious. It had what appeared to be nuts on top that gave it a nice crunch at the top. It went well with my iced Honey Halva Latte. That was also a delicious latte. I made no adjustments to it and it was the right amount of sweetness. I don't prefer too sweet but this was just right! Although it took a little while to arrive to me, the drink was not watery from the ice! Hoping to go back in person to be able to try some of their other offerings, like falafel and other pastries.

Yelp
I stopped by here on a rainy late afternoon. This isn't my first visit to Tatte, but it was my first visit to this location. The pastry case was a little picked over, which is to be expected at that point in the day. I ended up getting the crumble cheesecake and a hot chocolate to drink. Everything was fine. It didn't shock my socks off. It was freezing inside but I loved the seat and read my book and enjoyed myself for about 30 minutes before I had to warm up. The staff was kind, but I'd definitely say late afternoon isn't the time to go.

Yelp
Still the only place that sells a black sesame latte. There is caffeine in this drink, so just be aware--usually black sesame lattes are caffeine free. Ask for less ice! The main flavor is coffee, but you can taste the black sesame. I'm glad they opened up a location in RTC as the other locations are too far for me. Nice staff and well priced specialty drinks.

Yelp
I was in Reston on a business trip. I found this really neat caffe on the way to the office. I really liked the breakfasts sandwich but asked to substitute a croissant instead to the sour dough. Great coffee. The place was clean and had a great caffe vibe. Service was prompt and friendly. Some seem To not review this place well, unsure what their problem is. I thought this place was fantastic

Yelp
The ambiance at Tatte was super cute. The dining area had a cozy, modern vibe and the pastry case was full of beautiful options. I really appreciated that the gluten-free items were clearly labeled, which made it easy to know what was safe for me to enjoy. That said, there were a few things that took away from the experience. The restroom setup was strange. There were about five single-person, unisex bathrooms, each with its own keypad lock. One was out of order, and while the others worked, the code was printed right on the lockbox, which made the keypads feel pretty pointless. More concerning was the smell. Strong and unpleasant urine smell. The bathrooms weren't visibly filthy, just a little messy, but the odor really ruined the vibe. I ordered a white peach mint iced tea (or "cooler" as they call it), which sounded refreshing, but it was extremely sweet. That one's partly on me for not asking if it came sweetened, but I do wish the staff had clarified or offered a choice of sweeteners. I had to dilute it heavily with water to make it drinkable. It was also missing the fresh mint garnish. My friend ordered a cappuccino but didn't finish it. She had asked for stevia but they didn't have that so she chose honey as the next best option and that may have changed the taste. Lastly, the server who brought our drinks wasn't very friendly. No smile, no eye contact, just a generally off-putting attitude. It's not something that ruined the whole visit, but it definitely stood out. All in all, the bakery has potential, and I'd consider giving it another try especially for the pastries. But the bathroom situation, overly sweet drink, and lack of warmth from staff made this visit just okay.

Yelp
FOOD I tried the roasted salmon sandwich, which was on the pricier side but a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a pescatarian-friendly option. The herbed mayo provided a nice burst of flavor, while the arugula and onions offered a pleasant tang that balanced the richness of the salmon. DRINKS I opted for the house latte, and it was a delightful blend of espresso and cardamom. The honey added just the right touch of sweetness without being overpowering, and the spices were strong but not too intense. My only caveat was the graininess from the spices that accumulated at the bottom of the cup. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. Table service and to-go options are available for drinks, pastries, and lunch items. AMBIANCE The café has a clean, modern vibe, though it can get quite busy during peak hours. We arrived around 10:30 am, and it was already packed. While there's plenty of seating, it fills up quickly, so be prepared to wait if you come during popular times. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available (no password needed), and outlets are conveniently placed throughout the space. PARKING There are parking garages nearby with rates typically under $8/day. On weekdays before 5 pm, the first hour is free, and after that, it's about $3/hr. Street parking is available for $3/hr, with no free first hour.

Yelp
What a gem!!!! I wish we had a breakfast place like this at home! You feel like you're in a french bakery with a beautiful case of fresh pastry to great you! Wonderful coffee menu and a breakfast menu - So many great choices that I wished we were visiting for multiple days to try everything!! I decided on the sweet potato hash! Oh my!! My taste buds went wild - the spices made this an absolutely amazing choice!!! Order at the counter and food is delivered to your table - Lots of tables - for two and 4 - benches and chairs - lots of combinations! Looking forward to a return trip for sure!!

Love this place from the ambiance and aesthetic. Right in the heart of Reston Town center with parking garage behind the building. Pistachio Latter 12- 4/5 $5.75 - It good but too me need more pistachio flavor Vanilla Lime Krembo 5/5 $7.50 - A bit pricey for the size but creamy and decadent sweet with hint of tart. Palmier- 5/5 $4 - Crispy buttery cookies with sugar coating

Yelp
Parking: it is located in RTC (Reston Town Center). There are parking garages (free on the weekends & after 5pm on weekdays) Seating: there is seating indoors & outdoors! There is a lot of seating, but it gets really packed at Tatte, so it may be hard to find a seat during peak hours!! Food: the food is pretty good! We love everything we've ever gotten! Personally, I'm not a fan of their drinks (I've tried matcha & pistachio and they were average). Bathroom: they have 4 private bathrooms in the back! (2 have baby changing tables) Price: it's a little pricey, but it's a cute place to hang out at RTC. Service: service is great! They bring your food to the table! Don't forget to put your plates & cups in the designated bins, near the water cups! (Many people just leave their plates/cups but you're supposed to put the plates and cups away!)

Yelp
Great place for coffee and desserts. Honestly I was dissatisfied today afternoon. The lady who took our order messed up several times .6 pastries and coffee not much .After correcting our coffee was served in disposable cups . We told her we are sitting at the restaurant. Then my cappuccino they made a mistake .The server said they will bring it back .My friends tea was not served . We waited a long 20 mins .Finally I asked another server who served our Cappuccino and tea . The lady came back after 30 mins with another cappuccino. She was rude and arrogant .Told me strange . Pastries were good do was the tea and coffee . Just your servers need to be a bit smart and polite.

Yelp
My family and I tried Tatte on a recent Sunday AM. We ordered 4 pain au chocolat to eat same day and also a strawberry turnover and morning bun for my husband and I as a Monday treat. I ordered in store for carry out since I wanted a cappuccino. The wait time for carry out pastries was reasonable for a Sunday AM, but I ended up canceling my coffee order after waiting at least 15 minutes for my cappuccino with no end in sight (and 2 hangry kids). I grabbed Starbucks down the street on the way to my car. We warmed up the pain au chocolat at home, which I would definitely recommend! Pain au chocolat is a family favorite, and we've sampled most local ones. The chocolate in this one melted the best. Person preference is that it could've used more chocolate given the size, but definitely wasn't skimpy. Both the strawberry danish and morning bun were chewy, but since we had them a day later I'd try again in case they were just stale. I thought the morning bun had excellent flavor. My husband thought the turnover could use more strawberry. I'm going to try dining in next time so I can try the coffee and food while it's fresh.

Yelp
Food was good and taste. Order the Salmon Avocado Sandwich shown at the forefront of the picture. Scrambled Lamb Hash behind it on the right was tasty as well. You order at the front and they bring the food to your table if you're dining in. No wait on a Saturday AM ~11am. Just have to find your own seating. We were a party of 7 and were seated within 15 min

Yelp
Thanks to my Yelp friends, I knew I wanted to try this place. I happen to be in the area for a Yelp event, so perfect time. It's no secret that I've been to so many different bakeries, some impressive, some not so much, but this one had a high wow factor upon entrance. I'd give five stars, but I'll admit the staff taking orders weren't enthusiastic or overly friendly. There were a couple people in line (including myself) and there were 2 staff at the front taking orders, when one of them finished taking the order (before my turn) instead of helping me, she just walked away. The person who did take my order was fairly nice while taking my order. Without hesitation, I ordered the black sesame latte, hot. The hot comes in small size, the iced only comes in large size. I wanted to try the almond croissant, but I didn't want to eat before the event, so I skipped it. The barista who made my drink was super nice when handing my drink. Being that I read reviews before going, I knew to stir the drink before drinking as all the sesame (and flavor) sinks to the bottom. The bakery itself had a very New York-ish look to it...slightly industrial looking? It is very large, a lot of seating. There are also plenty of bathrooms (4?) that have combination locks on them. I can't really describe it..except that I loved this place... so the pictures and videos will have to do! I would definitely return so I can try the turmeric and honey latte.

Yelp
After having visited this location several times, I feel comfortable giving them a solid 3. Just like with any other Tatte, they are always busy. It doesn't matter if it's a weekday or the weekend, early morning or evening, just expect them to be busy. And when they're busy, employees seem to be extremely stressed out and frustrated, and there are crowds of customers walking around looking for a table to grab. All of this can be annoying if you're simply looking for a cozy coffee shop to relax. I must add that I was pleased to see that when they are super busy, managers do not shy away from helping out from preparing the drinks to getting the orders out. The menu offers a variety of items and I have tried a few. While usually tasting good, I think they are overpriced for what they are. They also have yummy pastries and desserts, just have to get there early enough to truly see them all. My biggest gripe with them is how long it takes them to bring your coffee order. I always ask for my lattes to be extra hot and every single time they are lukewarm by the time I actually get them. I understand they're busy, but it's up to them to figure out how to make it work. Regardless of it all, I can see myself going back.
google avatar

Trisha P.

Yelp
After giving them countless chances, I have to say this place is extremely mediocre. From the overpriced food itself to the service (HEAVY on the service), there are significantly better places to go to in the area. Why does it take half an hour for a coffee order to come out WITH NO LINE?! And when I asked the barista about my order after 15 minutes of waiting he gave me an incredibly rude attitude and just said "it'll be out when we're done making it". And on top of that, it seems that the patrons don't understand there are no servers and leave their tables completely trashed. Everything about this place sucks.
google avatar

Qui H.

Yelp
This was my first time here. I ordered the matcha latte and got a croissant. The matcha latte was not to my liking. What made it worse was the hot weather. I can't believe they don't have A/C inside.

Yelp
I LOVE TATTE! Everything on the menu comes out perfectly and delicious. The menu is rather extensive, similar to their pastry options! I love waiting in line, looking at the pastries, and deciding what I want to order. I love the jewish bagel with eggs and the shakshuka is so good. Be aware, the shakshuka is HUGE and comes with several slices of thick chewy perfectly toasted bread. It's incredible. I enjoy their lattes and coffee options. Service is always friendly. When it's busy sometimes it takes a minute to get your food, but nothing too long. Because they hand craft the coffees, it does take a minute of time. I do think they need another barista/another barista station to speed that up a bit. It is a bit pricey, but honestly I think it's worth it for the quality. The ambiance is crisp and clean. I like the hexagon tiled floors and seating is always easy to come across. There's outdoor seating too! The location is convenient. Perfect for brunch or even getting some work done during the day.

Yelp
I stopped here for dessert after dinner with some colleagues. I grabbed a tiramisu to go. After ordering and paying for our food, the cashier realized they were out of to-go silverware. She was flippant about the situation. I enjoyed my tiramisu, but I would have enjoyed it more if I could have eaten it immediately instead of spending 20 minutes trying to track down silverware.

Yelp
Not known for their coffee, Tatte is serves some delicious pastries, especially their brownie. However, their croissant sandwiches are pretty good but their tartines are lacking. Their coffee didnt excite me and were forgettable. An overall 2/5

Arda K.

Yelp
I have been at this location for a few times. Food is good but service is poor. In past three visits, I was told that they don't have enough plates and my pastries were placed in a paper bag and given to me. They did not even provide a tray to me.

Kurt

Yelp
If you want to drink out of a real cup do not come here. To go cups are the WASTEFUL / disposable norm. Ordered a flat white for dining in. Got a to go cup brought to my table. Queried this. so they poured my coffee into a cup and brought it back. Won't be coming back. What makes you different from Starbucks and Dunkin'?
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
I saw this place when I went to Boston as it was very hyped up so I was excited they were adding this to RTC! Overall, a very solid coffee spot and the decor and atmosphere was lovely! - Pistachio Latte: good but not my favorite, the pistachio flavor is evident throughout 7.1/10 - Pistachio Croissant: this was my favorite - delicious and the inside was perfect. I wish they had asked if I wanted it toasted because that is what kept this from a 10. 9/10 - Lamb Hash: great combination of flavors however it was way too sweet for my liking. BUT if every bite is WITH the tomato, it adds the perfect acidity and tastes really good 8/10 - Eggplant couscous bowl: loved the poached egg on top which spilled yolk all over the bowl. I do think it needed salt and a little heat or something extra - still had good flavor. Also I LOVE onions so I liked the onion chunks but I could see how that wouldn't be other people's cup of tea 7.8/10
google avatar

Anna K.

Yelp
Fun, busy ambiance and amazing selection of pasteries. My honey halva latte with oatmilk was very good, perfectly sweetened without being overpowering. The ham and cheese croissant was my favorite thing I ate!
google avatar

Danan R.

Yelp
It's a very solid option for coffee and breakfast - I would highly recommend the salmon sandwich with smoked salmon, egg, avocado, red onions, sprouts, and capers, all on a brioche roll. The espresso is also quite solid. The seating inside is just slightly cramped but not uncomfortable. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
I finally got to try the Tatte in Reston Town Center. We stopped by on a Sunday at 3 and it was very busy. I ordered a pot of mint tea, and the water stayed warm the whole time I had it. For food, I ordered the ham & cheddar quiche. The quiche was tasty and the cooked perfectly. The salad on the side was fine, though I wish it had a dressing on top. I also ordered a chocolate which was good but I wish they had warmed it up. The inside of the cafe is super cute, you won't feel like you are in RTC. They were very busy, but I wish they had someone cleaning off tables. The table we found we had to clean off ourselves.
google avatar

Preeti S.

Yelp
Had Flat white coffee and Traditional Shakshuka. Coffee and food was decent. Shakshuka was very tomato-ey. May be next time will try other two Shakshuska options It's a nice spot to hang out, meet friends or for taking a break while shopping in the area. It can get very busy. The service was pretty fast considering it was quite busy on a long weekend Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
I'm following up my glowing review of the Reston Tatte with this 1 STAR REVIEW to make an emphatic point about an absolutely unacceptable service deficiency. Hopefully management will read this and do something about it. I came in recently (Fri 12/6) for just one latte. That's it. Just a single latte. I had a meeting at the Hyatt at 9:30AM in the lobby and decided I had enough time to pop into Tatte, get myself a latte and still make my meeting across the way. I walked into Tatte at 9:15AM - NO ONE IN LINE. I WALKED RIGHT UP TO THE CASHIER AND PLACED MY ORDER. How bad could it be right? After ordering and paying, I went around to the backside of the bar area / coffee station / registers to wait for my latte. I waited and waited and waited and waited and...... I waited 15 MINUTES for my order to be called. WTF?!! There was nooo line when I placed my order my god. And to boot, how ANNOYING that there was ONLY 1 BARISTA working the station. O-N-E. And one "helper" guy who was busy gabbing with her (the barista) with no sense of urgency IN THE LEAST. HOW RIDICULOUS. I mean really? At 9:15AM in the morning on a Friday - one of the busiest times of the day for ppl wanting coffee? She was making allll the drinks - for walk-ins like me and sit-down orders - just one by one by one - taking her sweet little time. Andddddd I have always been annoyed at where customers are supposed to stand and wait for their drinks to be called. In SUCH AN AWKWARD MAKESHIFT AREA OF THE SHOP where you are in the way of everyone, customers trying to enjoy their meal and servers coming from the kitchen prep area trying to bob and weave around you. I can only imagine what that "waiting area" looks like when it's super busy. Whoever thought up that design layout failed miserably. #noman'sland Tatte, you're trending I get it. Everyone wants to see and be seen at your little trendy cafe. I've caved to pay your exorbitant prices because admittedly you offer a tad more glam than Starbucks - but if it takes you 15 MINUTES to crank out 1 drink with 1 barista working WHEN IT'S NOT EVEN BUSY, then h-e-double-toothpicks no. If you walk into Tatte for just a latte and see any kind of line forming and one single barista making drinks - BE FOREWARNED - you will be waiting....miserably. Until management fixes this ridiculousness, Tatte won't be getting any more of my hard earned bucks.

Paloma D.

Yelp
It was my first time, so far so good just don't know the foot traffic during lunch and parking around lunch hours since you have to pay.

Yelp
Always a great staple in any neighborhood. Love their seasonal drink offerings and the choice between the bakery or hot food from the kitchen. Just ordered a simple breakfast and a coffee. The ginger and date Oatmilk latte was one of the best latte's I've ever had. The hash browns from my breakfast platter weren't exactly fresh but still pretty good overall. Service was extremely fast. Love the ambiance and aesthetic of all the Tatte's in the DMV.

Yelp
Great little place. Nothing fancy, but a great little hangout with great coffee and pastries. Ordered a cafe latte with oat and it was delicious. The service was good, but I don't need much in a coffee joint. Would recommend if you're in the Reston area.

Yelp
Very pretty cafe. Huge and open floor plan with lots of indoor seating. I really like the space. The service was good enough. I only had a matcha latte, ordered to have there. After a bit of a wait brought to my table in a to go cup. After the wait didn't have the patience to dispute. Oh well. The pastries looked good but I can't speak to the quality or taste. I'd give it another try for brunch and a hang. Pleasant vibes.

Yelp
After seeing so many locations in DMV, I'm glad to finally tried this spot and it did not disappoint! I ordered the salmon avocado egg sandwich, was pleasantly surprised by how soft the bread was. The cafe also had plenty selection of pastries, would want to try their croissant and cheesecake the next time I visit. Not sure about the other locations, but this one had plenty of seating and very aesthetic/minimal interior. Docking 1 point since they didn't have matcha latte in stock, so I ordered the black sesame latte and the espresso was too strong and overpowered the black sesame flavor (but obviously might just be my personal preference of not tasting very strong coffee flavors!) lastly, we came around lunch time and while the cafe seemed very busy, service was quick and we got our food at a timely manner.

Yelp
We had recently been the Dupont Circle location and were impressed so we wanted to visit here, which is closer to where we live. When one walks in you get hit with the pleasant aroma of freshly ground and brewed coffee. We got to go the ham & cheese croissant perfectly butter and flaky croissnt but uniquely with sesame seeds on top, which provided extra cruch and flavor. The ham and cheese had just the right amount of salty and smoky flavors plus with a bit of tang from some dijon mustard. We also got the 1/2 pint of chicken salad. While it was good it could use more tang. Maybe some fresh cut onions. Logistics: plenty of parking in the nearby garage. My one gripe about this location is that given its size they need more staff. The checkout line was long. Online orders can be made at https://order.tattebakery.com/order/tatte-bakery-reston

Yelp
We recently stopped by Tatte after happy hour for a quick bite. The ordering was very convenient, but be warned that this is a very popular stop at the Town Center, so you might have a short wait before ordering. We were given a number and found a lovely table outside. Our food was quickly delivered. For my meal, I ordered the Turkey BLAT. This sandwich consists of turkey, applewood smoked bacon, baby lettuce, avocado, sriracha mayonnaise, and tomato-onion relish on housemade multigrain. Not only were the ingredients fresh and appropriately portioned, but it was a really good sandwich. It was a perfect light dinner. My wife and daughter enjoyed their sandwiches, but also gave a thumbs up to the bakery offerings. There is plenty to choose from and it all looks wonderful! I noticed that Tatte also has breakfast offerings, which might entice me to visit on a weekend morning when the weather is nice. Aside from the long lines, and higher than normal prices, Tatte is worth your consideration when you're looking for a solid sandwich at the Town Center.

Yelp
Very busy place with quick service and maybe trying to give Paul a run for their money...verdict is not out yet! Definitely a nice place and will get mote clientele as people hear about them or they open more establishments in different pockets near and around dc & northern va! Great selection of pastries and brunch options! A must try! Coffee I had, iced mocha, was okay but in comparison to Paul's quality, per drift, this place has miles to go...! Not too sweet but i supposed just enough coffee to wake you up! My big disappointment was the Croissant ham & cheese- bread was tasteless and that ham was too salty. Not quite up to par with Paul's which I determined today still my favorite! Reason: For quality, this place should pay attention to quality and temperature. My croissant tasted old even despite it being toasted, perhaps i ordered the wrong item... for this visit alone, solid 3.5 in all must 3! As saying goes, less is more! They have so many types of bread & pastries but I measured this place over the croissant ham & cheese I ordered today. This place owns Panera Bread so there you go! Checking Tatte off my list! Simple put, Paul's is better as quality natters to me!

Yelp
Came in one morning for breakfast... what interested me was checking out their menu online and seeing that they had Shakshuka. So, that's what I ordered upon arriving. I will say that the girl working the counter wasn't very friendly at all; in fact, she was basically rude and acted as if she didn't want to be bothered. Incidentally, I encountered a different person in the lobby who had the same demeanor - I equate this poor behavior to poor management and by the looks of these folks, perhaps management is catering to or caving to today's mess of a culture. As for the place - it's beautifully decorated and the amount of amazing-looking baked good on display was incredible! Plenty of nice pastries, boules, and other breads as well as offering a nice breakfast menu. I just wish service was better, as I'd want to return and try more. My Shakshuka had an AMAZING tomato sauce, but the egg was basically raw. It's supposed to be "sunny side up" in temperature, but it totally wasn't; even the yolk was as runny and raw as the white - yuck! So, Fortunately they gave a few slices of toasted boule too, which I used to eat the sauce - that sauce was great on the bread. Overall - Very mixed feelings, but mostly on the negative side - I won't return and I'm sure they don't care and I'm fine with that.

Yelp
A Tatte in RTC!!! VERY excited about this. We wanted it and needed it. I love their menu; and they always have specials. I ordered the black sesame latte and it was soo good! Woah! They have so much on their menu and lots of baked goods. I was going to dinner before Tatte so didn't indulge myself. This is a GREAT place to work from as well. Sure it's a little noisy, but if you're doing busy work and not calls, it's perfect. So happy they opened here!

Yelp
Very necessary brunch following a hot 5k in Reston, VA on a sunny 4th of July morning! We signed up for the race the night before so everything about this visit to Tatte was spontaneous. We all enjoyed our coffees and the meals were tasty. I especially enjoyed the hash browns topped with their special seasoning. It was a busy morning for this Tatte location but they were handling it well and still managed to provide quality service. The overall vibe of the restaurant and surroundings were nice. You could eat inside or out since the weather was nice and the busyness of the restaurant this morning almost had a big city feel which we all liked. There are many Tatte bakery locations across the DMV and I would recommend this as one to stop by when in the Reston area. It shouldn't disappoint.

Yelp
Finally able to visit the new Tatte in Reston on New Year's Day. We hoped being there early would mean less crowd but it was jam packed. However like parking if you just stay in 1 area something opens up quickly. 4 bathrooms is great vs 2 in Arlington. Located in the middle of Reston Marketplace, plenty of parking all around. I was thrilled that unlike my poor experience at the Arlington location, there was no issue getting my BLAT grilled which was awesome. My wife ordered the Cavatelli with winter vegetables which was average. Dessert was great but not served on plates but boxes so some improvement there and no coffee mugs but takeaway cups so another area of improvement. Friendly staff. Enjoyed our visit and hope they figure out the issues above.

Yelp
We are so excited for Tatte Bakery to be in VA now (new location opening in Alexandria this year). Don't have to drive to Bethesda (or DC) anymore. RTC is the perfect location for such a bakery and cafe. The interior is modern and classic just like the Bethesda location. Once you walk inside, you are greeted by pastries galore, natural light, and friendly service. Don't get me wrong, I love their pastries. The kouign amann, almond croissant, plain croissant, palmier, jelly filled donut, and oatmeal raisin cookie are all wonderful. I haven't had a bad pastry here believe it or not. But I think the highlight of their menu are their savory items, especially their shakshukas. The lamb shakshuka has tender lamb meatballs with an aromatic tomato sauce. The best is their potatoes, mushrooms, and bacon shakshuka. This one is creamy, savory, hardy, chunky, and velvety. All of their shakshukas come with their fresh slices of house made bread. I'm not crazy about bread but these thick slices are so tasty and perfect for picking up all that rich sauces of their shakshukas. I wanted more bread every time. This past visit I tried their savory French toast which is served on the weekends. The toast is thick and huge and sprinkled with sesame seeds which gives it an added crunch. The perfectly cooked poached eggs are seated on top of a cheese frico that added more crunch to the dish as well as protecting the runny eggs from the toast itself. The bed of greens that came with the dish had a nice vinaigrette. It was delicious. Needless to say, this is my favorite bakery and cafe in the area now. I'm happy we have more options to match DC and MD now.

Yelp
We were very excited about Tatte Bakery opening up in RTC, and of course were eager to check it out. The place is quite well done, just like all of their other locations in DC and Boston. The service staff at the register is very friendly and efficient. However, there is a noticeable lack of staff cleaning the tables and removing used dishes after the customers leave which leads to a lot of trash and mess everywhere (tables, floors, counters). It's quite chaotic but probably understandable given it's a new and busy establishment. Food is hit or miss. Prosciutto and fig sandwich was amazing! However the omelette plate with sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese mousse was a miss - the omelette was great, but paired with cold tomatoes and cold cheese mousse that didn't go together at all. Not something I'd recommend. Pastries are amazing and totally worth the trip!!

Yelp
Oooh try the shakshuka! Delicious. All of the dishes I've tried are quite tasty and flavorful. I order takeout so I can't really speak to the service but the food is always ready promptly. Restaurant is classy from what I can see from the takeout area.

Yelp
Blueberrry Cheesecake The fresh berries were ripe with a great berry to cheesecake ratio. The cream cheese was whipped well, making it light and fluffy. The crust was not overly sweet. Very nicely done. The price was too high for the very small portion provided.

Yelp
Tattes was beautifully decorated and located in a busy and eventful plaza! The staff were friendly and accommodating! They quickly recommended their favorite dishes and drinks when I couldn't decide. The food was amazing, I had the shakshuka which I've never had before. It was truly delicious with the lamb meatballs and spicy tomato sauce! My only comment is that the eggs were a little too raw for my taste and my chai latte was decent, a bit watery. The place offers free guest WiFi which was fantastic for getting work done however beware there are zero outlets! There is a single outlet by the entrance with no tables around which was odd considering it's a coffee shop. Overall I liked it, and with a fully charged computer I could stay all day! Perks: service animals were allowed inside and there was outdoor seating as well.

Yelp
Food and service is usually good. The bathrooms are always disgusting no matter when you go. Tables are also rarely cleaned. Reminds me more of a college cafeteria than anything else.
