⭐ Review for Tatte Bakery & Café — South End ⭐ Rating: ★★★★★ Tatte South End is one of those places that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The café has a warm, stylish vibe with beautiful pastries on display and a cozy atmosphere that feels perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even just a coffee break. I tried a few items and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The pastries taste like they came straight out of a European bakery, and the coffee is strong and smooth. The staff were friendly, quick, and always smiling, even during busy hours. What I loved most was how comfortable the space felt — bright, clean, and full of energy. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends, it’s the kind of place that makes the experience feel special. Highly recommend stopping by Tatte in the South End. It’s definitely a Boston must-visit. ☕🥐✨

Good service great for a quick snack, had a slightly odd taste to the sandwich but might have been the type of butter or oil they use to grill just not used to it

Tatte is one of my go-to spots. The morning bun is a must, and the breakfast and almond croissant are seriously delicious. The vibe is always cozy: perfect for reading a book, getting a little work done, or just hanging out with a good coffee. Love this place.

The place was great. Came in with a group of 7 and we all had our food very quickly. Everything looked great and tasted great too.

We went to this Tatte location before hitting the Freedom Trail. The food was delicious and good portions. I also enjoyed my matcha latte. They do not sweeten it, instead they provide simple syrup and sugar so you can add it yourself. This is much better, IMHO. I highly recommend this place.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My wife and I arrived ordered the flat bread and some coffee's. The cashier said our order would be called out in a few minutes. We sat there for about 15 minutes so I went up to ask about our food (our coffee came right away). They said "oh you haven't gotten them"? Then two employees went around asking the kitchen where they were and the kitchen staff didn't know. Then, they proceeded to take the two cold flatbreads out of the display, put them in boxes, and hand them to us. I then asked, could we please have these warmed up? They took them back to the oven and placed them inside. Then, 3-4 more employees came over to huddle around the oven. We waited ~5 more minutes then they took the flatbreads out put them in a box and told me "we're sorry our oven is broken". They didn't give us any refund or extra food/drinks. Just cold, old, flatbreads. I still don't understand why they didn't heat it up in the kitchen with working ovens? It felt like everyones first day of work. I'm not one to complain but this situation was too awful not to mention. I wish they had refunded us the money, I won't be going back.

Ive loved tatte for years! In fact we just landed in Boston and came straight here for breakfast. I was disappointed that the toast I got with my scrambled egg plate with not fresh and almost had that stale bread taste. The croissant was also not the freshest and definitely not baked this morning. Was a tad disappointed. That said, the scrambled eggs and goat cheese mouse were both delicious. The staff was lovely and helpful and the atmosphere is always great here. Would love for them to keep up with fresh baked goods!

Great pastries, unique drinks nice staff! Their pistachio latte was okay, a lot of the flavor stays on the bottom of the cup even if you stir it well sadly. Salad was good a little less dressings may be nice but maybe personal preference. I’ve had some of their pastries before and they’ve all been really good!
