Visited twice in 4 days..that's how much I enjoyed it here! The staff were so friendly and attentive, the selection of beer was amazing and the food was fantastic! Luckily I'll be back in Boston in a couple weeks, working nearby, so I'll definitely be back! 😀

Alex Kirby

Google
Pretty good place with a convenient location across from The Garden. The food was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Beer was good and ice cold. Prices were a little higher than I anticipated, but nothing crazy considering this location's proximity to TD Garden. I expect to pay a bit more in this area of Boston than I would somewhere else. Our waitress was very kind and attentive.

Finally, after years of gluten free, I can sit at a bar and eat bar food! I'm in the area for work, and found this gem by googling GF in the area. The first night, I order chicken tenders to go. OMG! So crunchy and delicious. Because I can't remember the last time I was able to eat fish and chips, I thought that I would eat in on my last night. I sat at the crowded bar (game night), ordered a drink, and ordered my meal. It was delicious. Flaky, white fish, crunchy exterior, perfect fries. I cannot recommend this place enough, especially for the tired of eating a salad at a bar GF people.

Spencer Gross

Google
The food was really good! The buffalo pizza was great and so was the bang bang chicken tenders (bit spicy) and the bang bang broccoli but didn’t expect much and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a cool bar right by TD

Laura Buntain

Google
This place was amazing! I’m gluten free and have SUCH a hard time finding options that taste good. We got the chicken tenders, fried pickles, and grilled chicken sandwich on a gluten free bun. Chefs kiss!! All gluten free, all delicious !!!! I think we will come back one more time on our 5 day visit to Boston!

Nikki M

Google
amazing gluten-free options not easily found elsewhere (baked mac & cheese, cornflake crusted chicken tenders, etc.), tons of bar food and drinks as well

Enrique Vela

Google
We stoped here for lunch and drinks. Ordered the appetizer tots, and shared plates of burgers and caprese sandwich. Emma, our waitress, was super nice and gave us amazing service. Had a great time.

Went on a busy concert night told wait time was 15 minutes, went to the bathroom and was alert by text our table for 2 was ready. Sat at the outside patio and was a lot quieter than inside. Service was professional and efficient (4/5) The food we ordered was all GF and they did a great job with acknowledging the allergy and who served us our food. (5/5)

Adrienne D.

Yelp
David was our bartender, the best service ever! So fun and attentive! Will be back for the great service

Stefanie B.

Yelp
Surprisingly great for a sports bar! Food was hot, fresh and tasty with options for any diet. We had the buffalo cauliflower, and the tuna bowl. I asked if we could substitute the rice for salad, and they easily modify the menu for my dietary needs. Lots of beers on top, and right across from TD Gardens. Huge TVs to watch the games, plenty of space to catch up with coworkers and friends, and the bartenders are on top of your drinks. I'll be back for the bang bang broccoli Hot tip: great place to relax and wait for traffic to open up

Gaby H.

Yelp
The food was okay here, however, I do think it's overpriced for mostly bar food. We started out ordering the Tater tot appetizer. We asked for the ranch that comes on it to be on the side which it did but all other toppings were also placed on the side which was odd. The food photographs beautifully but the flavors were lackluster. The salmon bowl was swimming in the sesame sauce and the broccoli was a bit undercooked. The bowl also came with a mango salsa. I was pretty excited about it because I love a good fruit salsa with my salmon. However, the mango salsa was made up of red and green bell peppers instead of tomatoes, onions, and chili pepper. It created beautiful color on the plate but was just not great to the pallet when you're expecting a true salsa. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was much more like a honey barbecue sauce. Service was great and beers were average priced.

Yelp
If you are not a local you will not be treated like anything in any regards . I am a Southern lady and got disrespected and not served in a timely manner. Don't come here if you're not From Boston or a regular . I was so disappointed .

Yelp
A few weeks ago, we were in downtown Boston and decided to stop here for a bite to eat. We had eaten at other Tavern in the Square locations so we knew the quality and the service was going to be good. If you are planning in advanced, you can make a reservation using Open Table and get some OT reward points that way, but they do not accept reservations for 1....only for 2 or more. Their bar area was great, much similar to all the other locations with a large selection of beers on tap and large variety of liquor brands to choose from. I got a picante burger and it was not as spicy as I thought it could had been, but it was good. I love their homemade chips...thin and crispy. Great service, great ambiance.

Alex V.

Yelp
Went there for the bruins game on 5/12/24 The chicken tenders were one of the best I've ever had. Very crispy and a lot of flavor. I ate these without any sauce which is unusual of me. I had the tavern burger as well and ordered it to be medium. I was very surprised that It was cooked medium. Most restaurants don't get this right. Restaurants typically forget my side of BBQ that I ask for. But they didn't and it came first try. Overall the service is nice and I felt very welcomed considering the fact I'm from VA. The atmosphere of this place is awesome. Very good vibes.

Marilu F.

Yelp
I made a late dinner reservation to another restaurant. As a result, I was starving and needed something to hold me over. My companion chose this place based on reviews and the vast beer menu. That and they had a guacamole platter that we figured would hold me over. Well, it indeed hold me over. The guacamole wasn't anything special though. It did its job and that was that. Would not go out of my way for this place, but if in the area, it's fine to check out.

Danielle P.

Yelp
I had to wait for a table, but the wait was surprisingly faster than I thought it would be, especially for an event night. I ordered some bang bang broccoli, which was nicely breaded (lightly) and had a spicy flavorful sauce on it. I think I may have even enjoyed it more if I got the sauce on the side. A couple had small amounts of sauce and I enjoyed those the best. I also ordered the fish and chips- there were quite a few fries, and they were nice a crispy. The fish wasn't greasy, which was nice, and also gluten free. I may not get it again, however. I just felt like it this day. The Cole slaw tasted good too. Nice selection of beers on tap, full bar. I like the amount of TVs they have as I was able to watch the NLCS game while I enjoyed my meal.

Stephon M.

Yelp
Checked this place out on a crazy busy Thursday night and it was solid. Sat at the bar and the bartenders were hustling trying to take care of everyone but doing it with composure! Ambiance is nothing special compared to any other bar/tavern. The shrimp and crab cake was delicious! I didn't have high hopes but it was impressive. Solid old fashions on the cocktail front.

Jenna B.

Yelp
While on vacation, my friends and I chose this spot solely because it was right across the street from our hotel, they could seat us right away, and because we were starving. That being said, I'm glad we chose it! We were promptly seated at a table on the patio. I ordered a refreshing margarita and a chicken sandwich, and both were delicious! Also, my friend has a dairy allergy, and had no trouble finding a meal. That's always a relief! So, our impromptu choice turned out to be a fantastic one. The prompt service, delectable food, and accommodating options made our experience a great start to our trip.

Hannah E.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing!!! They have so many Gf options which made eating in boston super super easy! They were flavorful and perfectly cooked! I highly recommend if you are GF or just want some good food!

Ebony H.

Yelp
The manager Pierre got us settled in promptly upon arrival after stopping by from a nearby concert. Shortly after he assisted us in a more comfortable seating arrangement unrequested. The bartender was also amazing and my daiquiri was PERFECTION! The energy and atmosphere was super comfortable and laid back. I look forward to another visit! My friends and I had an amazing time.

Jack L.

Yelp
Quite a lively spot nestled right next to the TD Garden. On game day, this joint is busy, but fortune smiled upon us, and we snagged a six-person table when another group had a last-minute change of plans. The staff was quick on their feet and catered to our every whim, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. I went for the Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich. This was unique for chicken sandwich. The chicken was coated in a sweet and hot glaze, with a serious crunch. And let's not forget about the portion size! Half of that chicken was sticking out from the bun! At $17 for the sandwich, it may not be the bargain of the century, but hey, it's the going rate in this economy. Considering the quality, the restaurant, location, and the sports bar vibes, it's a fair deal. Speaking of sports bar vibes, I must admit, the screens in here could use a growth spurt. A little more screen real estate and less obstructions would have taken the game-viewing experience to new heights. A minor gripe in the grand scheme of things, but worth mentioning in case you're really trying to watch the game.

Yelp
3/9/24 10am, We were looking for an alternate option from hotel food and saw this place that seems cozy and food looks good on the website menu. So we went to this place for breakfast before heading back home from an event we attended. First thing I noticed is that it seems that the crew are not familiar with what goes on during breakfast and we were given lunch/dinner menu. So, I ended up getting the Tavern on the Square Breakfast and I asked for sausage out of the regular 3 options we normally see on the menu. Second thing I noticed when the food arrived, no butter came with the toast. No salt and pepper on the table. And whats worse, the sausage are OVERCOOKED and HARD AS A ROCK. I didn't complain to have my food changed since we are in a rush. My suggestion to this place is to have a real Chef and a manager that would be checking the quality of food and service. We should have had our brunch at the hotel across this place...

Julia T.

Yelp
The vibe here is so nice. Super clean. Staff are all so friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the fish n chips. It was so good. Even the salmon was delicious. Caesar salad was very light not over drenched with dressing. It was perfect. Had pumpkin beers with cinnamon rim here with a shot of vanilla stoli AKA slutty pumpkins. A regular and a tall next to each other. Too delicious ! Highly recommend if you're in the TD Garden area.

Laura H.

Yelp
Stopped in for a beer and some apps. Fast and friendly service. Food was delicious. I had bang bang broccoli that's flavors were sweet and spicy. The crab dip was good.

Matthew B.

Yelp
I needed munchies at midnight and went here for a late night snack. The place was pretty noisy but the staff sat me away from the crowd (thank you) The late night menu was small but I got cornflake chicken tenders tossed in Buffalo sauce. It was excellent, I'll come back again so I can check out the regular menu.

Kelly Z.

Yelp
Service was top notch! Great people but the food and drinks were meh. The guac and nachos were okay. The nachos were too hard and not salted evenly or nearly enough. The guac is such a small portion and was not salted either like no seasonings are found here. The seltzer tower with cranberry juice was really good. I love the concept and it is perfect for big parties. It is not strong at all, you would probably need at least 2 glass fulls to feel a little buzz. Overall, great service but the food and drink was okay.

Olivia D.

Yelp
This was genuinely the worst cookie skillet of my life. Cold and not warm by any means. Great service and atmosphere though, especially during playoff games.

Angela V.

Yelp
It's a get right to it kind of American bar. Looking for drinks and a quick bite? It's the place for you. If you're seeking a nice dinner, probably not. Following a concert, I dropped in with friends and we shared a sangria pitcher (house blend). It was fizzy, very sweet, and not too strong. I'm not a big drinker but it could definitely use a stronger alcohol base. My friend also had the nachos which did the job but was nothing to write home about. My other friend who had a lemon drop was impressed so I'd say get a cocktail vs sangria If you'd like something with a little punch.

Kris W.

Yelp
I just got a beer and an app and was not disappointed. The chicken tenders are delicious. Lots of things on the menu and an extensive beer list as well as wine and cocktails. Would recommend but but not on Bruins game night. The place is packed.

Taya A.

Yelp
Came to TITS with some friends after a show at the garden to keep the party going! The hosts and servers were the absolute sweetest and gave us a perfect table because the bar was so packed. We ordered some drinks and some drunk munchies. We had the fried pickles and they were delish! My favorite was the Southwest Tots. They were so crispy and served with bacon, fire roasted corn, chipotle ranch, cotija cheese, scallions, cilantro, and lime. I highly recommend!

Debra V.

Yelp
Big sports bar and the Celtics were about to play the Heat so a lot of patrons were wearing green jerseys. We got a high top table right away about 6 p.m. we were waited on right away. We got drinks from the nice drink selection. My friend ordered the Tavern burger and it came with a side. After nice choices a side salad was chosen. I had the quinoa bowl. It was big and full of veggies. I took half to the hotel and ate it later. So good. Nice restrooms. If you want noise, music and sports come here.

Rick C.

Yelp
What I liked: - Great for beer - Great sports bar to watch a game. - Food menu with something for everyone (gluten free, pescatarian, etc.) Came after the rush on a night when the local team was playing next door at the Garden. Ordered a Caesar salad and asked the salmon to be cooked as gently as possible. I got a cooked piece of salmon on a Greek salad. I get there was likely operator error on the order (Caesar vs Greek) but disappointed the salmon was so dried out. Stick to pub food at this otherwise excellent sports bar with great selection (50!) of craft beers on tap.

Alaina M.

Yelp
Great location near North Station for before any TD Garden event! Good amount of TVs to watch any sports game at in the bar area, not as many in the other seating area. Service has never been bad but isn't anything above the top either. They have outdoor seating available when it's nice weather but no TVs outside. Great for either sharing apps or everyone getting their own entree! 2 of my roommates are gluten free and claim this place has some of their favorite gluten free options for food!

Jenna P.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere with a location right across from TD Garden. Good place to watch a game and have affordable food in Boston that also tastes good. Service was good

Neil K.

Yelp
Salad wasn't great, too much dressing and the grilled chicken was overcooked (stringy & dry). Sam Adams's seasonal, winter was cold and good. Service was mediocre, checked on me at the end of my dinner and never asked about the salad. Atmosphere was great, lots of people.

Amy B.

Yelp
I cannot give this place enough stars! WOW talk about gluten free options. So much of the menu was gluten free, even fried items. I had heard many recommendations from my friends with celiac to come here and boy am I glad I did. We ordered the Cornflake Fried Chicken Tenders and Salmon Bowl to split. The chicken tenders were hot and crunchy and the dipping sauces matched them well. The salmon bowl was spectacular. The fish was excellent and the flavors of the whole bowl were delicious. The service was great. Answered all my questions, the food came fast and hot, and our waitress was attentive. My only complaint is that I need a location back home!

Eddie F.

Yelp
Good and classy atmosphere, few bartenders were always on time in service and beverages. Snacks were on average taste. Bathroom could have been located in better spot, they are in the basement kinda hidden from main dining saw people are smoking...

Katherine R.

Yelp
Good spot to come for lunch. They try to have a variety of options on the menu which is nice but I have yet to eat something amazing here. I usually get a sangria and a salmon bowl and both are good, but not great. The nachos on the other hand are SOO good! Highly recommend. Also, I have had really great servers here. They are fast, friendly and helpful!

Jenny H.

Yelp
Busy spot with bar and large menu for food and drinks. We got the fish n chips (kind of dry & too much breading) and the fish tacos (tortilla fell apart too easily, but overall flavorful). Good for date night or night out with friends.

Erika K.

Yelp
Right across the street from TD Garden, this is one of my go to places to eat and drink with friends. I love getting my adult kids meal which is their grilled cheese with apples and brie and a whole bunch of tater tots. Getting the tater tots appetizer and sharing is also a common recommendation if you're with a couple other people. I've gotten the margarita tower for my birthday and it definitely left an impression haha It tasted/was stronger than expected so highly recommend it if you're looking for a fun night out. I personally don't follow sports but they have MANY MANY large TVs if you're ever looking to watch a game.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
We stopped here tonight before the John Mayer concert. The menu was great, and it was easy to identify all the gluten free items! Food was fast and delicious! We had the southwest tots, a burger and fish tacos. They had tons of beer on tap and the cocktail list was so good! Loved the drinks! Would definitely come back if we are in the area for a show!

Julie R.

Yelp
I was so happy to finally try this restaurant! If you're looking for an upscale sports bar and restaurant that also has a lot of natural light, this is it. And for those seeking gluten free food, they have A LOT of options, including beer. I had the GF fish and chips and GF beer. Both were really good. Others in my group had juicy burgers and fries. All of their fryers are GF. Overall, great food, atmosphere and service!

Nancy M.

Yelp
Your typical American restaurant/bar. I came twice in one day actually. I came for lunch and had the avocado steak salad which was a large portion, even took some home. The salad was very fresh and crisp. I enjoyed it! The steak was cooked perfectly. Like I said, I took some home and it was still really good hours later! We then came for a work happy hour. Everyone had a good time! Our server was great. Drinks were okay, I think the best was the sangria. Solid place, lots of options on the menu for everyone!

Marni M.

Yelp
Popped in on a Sunday morning before a Celtics game. Place was expectedly packed but we were able to grab a drink before getting seated by the window. Staff were organized and friendly. We shared an order of southwest tots which consisted of a creamy chipotle sauce, lots of Parmesan, and corn topped over some crunchy tots. Yes, it tasted as satisfying as it sounds. The lime wedge on the side served more as a topping since it didn't release very much juice when squeezed. My friend ordered the sesame salmon bowl while I had the blackened fish tacos. Both dishes were made with fresh and vibrant ingredients. A much more satiating meal than what we could get at TD garden for a better price. The sweet mango cubes, steamed crunchy broccoli, and creamy avocado slices complemented the umami salmon over white rice. As a sucker for corn, I was pleasantly surprised by the side of corn offered. More of the chipotle sauce was served on top of the corn with another dry lime and a simple salsa. Fish slices were plump and cooked well. Overall, very happy with my experience and would love to try more items from their menu. Great place to come to in preparation for a game and I'm sure for a casual hangout.

Tee L.

Yelp
I was recommended to come here and came just for drinks, if I recall correctly David made me the best drink ever. The basil cocktail is amazing. The taste is interesting, inviting, unique and good. If I'm Town ask him to make you one, yum!

John M.

Yelp
I know it was busy, it's a concert night at the Garden, but that's not an excuse for cold, impersonal, unfriendly service. We sat at the bar, Suzanne barely greeted us. I said "Hi How are you doing" she said "what can I get ya?". That was as good as it got. Okay, I can deal with grumpy...fine!. Asked for an Arnold Palmer. She unenthusiastically gave me a glass of iced tea with a splash of lemonade in it inó about five ice cubes. Later when I asked for more ice she rolls her eyes. Still I'm okay I can deal with grumpy! My wife asked for a Coke, she got Diet Coke. Okay mistakes happen. Lisa didn't want to deal with asking for another Coke because she didn't want to deal with grumpy. I ordered Caesar salad with grilled chicken it's the most basic thing you can order in a restaurant. Lettuce warm and wilted. Grilled chicken so overcooked but you could have used it for a bicycle tire. I asked for oil in balsamic vinegar, The balsamic vinegar had been in the jar so long that it had evaporated and caused rings down the side of the inside of the bottle. The vinegar had a large lobulin of mother at the bottom. Had to ask for another one! Lisa had a steak bowl ask for the steak to be medium rare came extra well done, it was way over dressed. Not once did Suzanne come back to us inside You need anything! The one excellent note was that the host and the manager at the door were excellent and attentive! There's lots of great restaurants right around TD garden in Boston I suggest you try one of them.

Rohit V.

Yelp
Topline: Really fun brunch spot near TD Garden with a lot of TV's. Must try the mimosa tower, which is a giant cylinder with about 120 ounces of champagne and orange juice for $60. Four of us were able to fill 2-3 glasses each. Ambience: 3/5 - Somewhat crowded sports bar / brunch type place. If you want to catch some games, I'd recommend Banners right across the street. Service: 2/5 - Maybe it was that day or something, but our service was really slow and took a long time. Taste: 4/5 - Pretty much everything on the menu looked delicious. Our group split some breakfast nachos, and the bananas foster french toast was delicious. Expensiveness: 3/5 - On the expensive side but the mimosa tower was a fantastic deal and the food came in massive portions. I don't think anyone in our group finished their brunch entree.

Melvin P.

Yelp
Rude Hostess Came in at 4 today 2/16 for some after work drinks. We had a group of 4 but showed up with 2 people to hold the table. Hostess refused to seat until the rest of the group showed because 10 minutes was too long. Mind you, the bar seating area was empty and our group was 10 minutes away. We've also been here many times and have never had this issue. I've been seated by myself at a 4 seat high table no problem. When the rest of our group arrived they sat us. Refused to accommodate a 5th so he was ordering from the bar. Ordered 2 steak salad to go medium rare and they were cooked well done. Very disappointing experience for a place we frequent so often.

Melissa B.

Yelp
We dined here because it was close to our hotel and the reviews looked decent. They have a really nice outdoor seating area which was definitely a pro. Their cocktail menu was intriguing and I was very happy with my choice. It was some type of strawberry lemonade drink. We started with the pretzel bites appetizer that came with a side of cheese sauce and apple sauces and it was good! Just what you would expect for soft pretzels! Loved the cheese sauce. For my meal I had the agave lime chicken sandwich. I would t typically go for a grilled chicken at a restaurant but this was so good and juicy! The cheese and sauce made it very tasty. Their ranch was also good. Everyone else in my group liked their meal as well. They were super accommodating to my friend with a dairy allergy.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
the margaritas are STRONGGGG... to the point where it became overpowering and unpleasant, especially a pitcherful of it. It tasted like a tequila shot diluted with some mango juice. I've had margaritas that were equally strong but tasted much better than this. the location is right across from big night live which is convenient. overall I can't complain about a strong drink, but I do wish it tasted better.

Brendan R.

Yelp
Best Service Of My Life. Fast Good Steak medium rare to perfection. Great atmosphere.

Wendy L.

Yelp
Tavern in the Square is a great dining option close to TD Garden with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is nice when the weather is good, but it can get a bit windy out there. On a non-game night, it was easy to get a table but I can imagine that it gets quite busy when there are Celtics or TD Garden events. The menu is tavern fare but a little nicer and a little more interesting. There are a lot of options that look really good (including salads), and I went with the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with fries. I was worried about the spice level on the chicken sandwich but it wasn't spicy at all - just a little zing. The portions are generous, particularly the kids' cheese pizza which was big enough to be an adult-sized portion. You can pay extra for different sides - the truffle tots are an extra $4 and, while tasty, maybe not worth the $4. Our server (Daniel? David?) was super nice and responsive. I really appreciated his welcoming demeanor.

Bl B.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place however we had a lackluster experience with takeout. I paid $14 for a very small amount of lukewarm, tasteless, and dry chicken tenders (see photo). The cauliflower was soggy and lacked flavor as well. Update - they refunded our order. Maybe they just had a bad night. Will be giving them another try.

Mark H.

Yelp
Boston had no end to awesome dining & sports bars! This place was full of Bruins fans & yet other than friendly banter we felt right at home. Food & beverages were fantastic! I highly recommend the quesadilla, they were filled to the edge with goodies. The drinks were loaded with taste! Again I highly recommend the Long Island Ice Tea, it was amazing. Service was great, we never ran dry on our drinks & water. You know a place is good when Law Enforcement dines there & they don't serve doughnuts! They refer to this place as TITS because of the name! I look forward to getting back to Boston for a hockey game & stopping by TITS for food & drink!

Neha M.

Yelp
I LOVE Tavern in the Square!!! Anytime Im in the TD area for either a Celtics game or a concert it's my go to pregame spot. It's super close to TD which makes it the most ideal place to go while you're waiting for the lines to go down. They always have a long list of beers and ciders on tap and amazing cocktails - recommend the aperol spritz. For food, I love the pear pizza and the soft pretzel.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Great food, lots of different bets on tap. We went right before Christmas so it was jam packed. We sat at the bar which wasn't as awful as it usually is at other restaurants. The staff were very friendly and the service was good.

Dumbo N.

Yelp
Growing to fourteen units is great, being too cheap as a sports bar to not have a proper cable system is not. direct Tv? Really- the wind blows and it goes out- do better. Neighbors next door, even in the rain would rather watch games a t the bar then their overpriced small apts

Samrana B.

Yelp
First time here and I love it! Gluten Free friends we have found a friendly cousin who is 100% dedicated to letting us enjoy fried food! Anything you want you can have it here! I love that it's a bar and is able to accommodate my allergy. Bars are usually the hardest to have gluten free options. Staff was all really nice and accommodating.
