"Nachlo operates daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Its opening adds to the area’s already-growing set of dining options, including fairly recent openings such as Milkweed (a cafe) and a Chilacates location, plus the forthcoming Tavern of Tales board game cafe." - Dana Hatic

Awesome spot with friendly service, delicious food, and a deep drink menu. Fun nods to nerd culture but fun for your basic friends too! Awesome variety of easy to play games in the free library. Have a great Saturday brunch and happy hour food specials. Also had gluten free bread!

Love this place! The food and drinks are great, the games are fun, but the best part is how the staff makes you feel like you're at home! Emily took great care of us at the bar, and Rudi ran a mean game of trivia. Becca was so much fun-- best server ever! Will definitely come back!

Lovvvvvved our experience here. Spent 2.5 hours drinking, eating, and playing games. Such great vibes, all the food was phenomenal. The drinks were fun and special. Altogether a 5 star experience hanging out with our people with no pressure. You gotta stop here if you're a game freak!

Pros: Clean Aesthetic Creative game board joint( probably the only one in Boston) Cons: Terrible service Staff don’t know their own menu Unseasoned expensive food The Deets:

We came with a group late for brunch, and aside from us in the entire joint, only 1 other couple in the far corner. There were three people in the front and it took 20 minutes to get our orders in and another 20 minutes for their staff to figure out they don’t actually serve some items. Latte came out with pitiful blob of foam, but the food came out looked beautiful.
Perfect toast, perfect layers, but that was it. Flavor was lacking, and way too expensive for what it was I recommend going to Mike’s or Milkweed a block down for some proper food at actually affordable price. I wanted to be fair, so in all fairness, the lackluster service, the overly expensive unseasoned food really hit the nail in the coffin for us. I’m all for creative local businesses but I really don’t know how they have good reviews after this experience.

One of the best places of its kind in Boston. Incredible food, wonderful atmosphere, and by far the best community of Magic players I've ever experienced in my 30 years of playing the game. There is a wide spectrum of skill levels among players that frequent the store and every one of them is super easy going and friendly. The community is incredibly welcoming to new folks, so don't be shy!

Stopped in Tavern of Tales yesterday with my friends, we had such a blast! They have so many good board game options, and our server Becca was so helpful in recommending food and drinks for us to try. We'll definitely be back soon!

Brianna was a wonderful server, having great banter with us as we did our little 50th anniversary one-shot. Will definitely come here again for the boardgames, the food, and the company.

The staff exude kindness and friendliness, and the food is great! I came for a Wednesday Commander game night while in town and had a great time. There is a $25 min tab you must open for Commander nights on Wednesdays, but it's totally a fair ask when they deliver great food and beer to your table throughout. 5/5 highly recommend for commander nights!
