Taverna & Trattoria Palio

This informal trattoria serves Italian food since 25 years, celebrating this longevity in a couple of weeks. I had a late dinner here after having left Copenhagen by car in the mid afternoon and driven like a car thief, anxious to arrive too late. No problem, I was pleasantly received and ordered what would be one of the best Pollo-s al Limone I have ever tasted. There are a couple of decent reds to be had by the glass. There are vegetarian and vegan choices if you prefer. Cooking is authentic Italian without having to support pizza proposals. The staff is attentive and courteous. Recommended.

Very disappointed in the service, had to ask for drinks rather than be asked. Then waited quite some time before being asked for our meal order, starters were brought out fairly quickly and were very nice, but then had to wait almost an hour for our mains by which time we'd lost our appetite.

It was fancy and expensive but such a great whole dining experience. The staff was friendly and the food was great. The crème brûlée was the best I have ever eaten.

Good food overall but service was disoriented and incredibly slow. Took us nearly 2h to get pasta with only a few tables being occupied

Wow! It doesn't have a Michelin star, like its neighbor, but the chef is the same, and the menu I had was just fantastic!

Wow. Veal ravioli I’m in heaven. Very light pasta with a perfectly balanced sauce tossed with a bit of spinach. Wonderful. Highly recommend. This is a very nice restaurant but prices are appropriate for the food quality and ambiance.

This almost a 5 star place. They have some amazing qualities and some not so good ones. First off the ingredients are great. Hausgemacht bread and tuna dip start the meal. Then some fresh meats and olives go nicely with the bread. We ordered the 4 course meal. 1. Salad. Very fresh garden salad with a delicate dressing. 2. Veal and spinach ravioli. The flavor was excellent and the spinach cooked just right. My only criticism was that the pasta was too thin which made the filling over powering. 3. Filet. The cut of meat was average. It was cooked pink in the middle with fresh veggies and tomato gnocchi. The combined flavor was very balanced but the meat could have been better. 4. The creme brûlée was thin with slight too thick glazing. However the mango Rosemary Icecream saved it. I would order this again. The ambience was nice and the waiters were attentive and satisfied every request. But alas the way was too long. We actual had people leave our group of 6 and go back to the room because it took so long to get the food. If the delivery and timing of the food could be mastered this would easily be a 5 star.
