Taverna & Trattoria Palio

Attempted to go for dinner on Friday early evening. It was understandably busy and there were only tables outside which we were fine with. Unfortunately the maitre d was very unwelcoming and barely acknowledged us. We were then sat outside for over 20 minutes with no communication and no menus despite waitresses walking by. I’m not sure if our faces didn’t fit or if this is usual service. We left and found a very nice alternative restaurant that was very friendly and really interacted with our child.

A bug in my pasta! I got a new dish but no compensation. I finished my meal 20 minutes after the other people in the group. Didn’t feel genuine, sorry.

This informal trattoria serves Italian food since 25 years, celebrating this longevity in a couple of weeks. I had a late dinner here after having left Copenhagen by car in the mid afternoon and driven like a car thief, anxious to arrive too late. No problem, I was pleasantly received and ordered what would be one of the best Pollo-s al Limone I have ever tasted. There are a couple of decent reds to be had by the glass. There are vegetarian and vegan choices if you prefer. Cooking is authentic Italian without having to support pizza proposals. The staff is attentive and courteous. Recommended.

It was fancy and expensive but such a great whole dining experience. The staff was friendly and the food was great. The crème brûlée was the best I have ever eaten.

We had a bug in the food and no excuse from the staff. The food was 4 star but the head waiter looken high on something.

Very disappointed in the service, had to ask for drinks rather than be asked. Then waited quite some time before being asked for our meal order, starters were brought out fairly quickly and were very nice, but then had to wait almost an hour for our mains by which time we'd lost our appetite.

Wow! It doesn't have a Michelin star, like its neighbor, but the chef is the same, and the menu I had was just fantastic!

Good food overall but service was disoriented and incredibly slow. Took us nearly 2h to get pasta with only a few tables being occupied
