Highly recommended spot at Ischia porto. Friendly service, quality ingredients for delicious dishes and reasonable prices. Come early or make reservations at least a day prior because it's a popular place for both tourists and locals.

We have eaten a number of times and have loved every single time. The staff are welcoming and have an absolute passion for the place. A generational restaurant that will stand the test of time. A must visit when on the island.

We stumbled upon Taverna Antonio by pure chance—and what a find. They were fully booked for the night, but graciously squeezed our party of two in, and thank god they did. As a foodie, I thought I had seen it all… but octopus carbonara? Game-changer. It’s been two days, and I’m still thinking about it. We also shared the mussel scarpariello, which was packed with flavor, and what I believe was the Ischian bruschetta—a simple yet perfect mix of tomatoes, olives, capers, and sardines. We dug in so quickly I didn’t even get to photograph it. Everything was fresh, thoughtful, and rooted in local tradition with a creative touch. The restaurant is family-run, and Antonio himself was our waiter—charming, attentive, and clearly proud of what they’ve built. You can tell the space was recently redone; both the interior and exterior are beautifully styled, blending modern polish with island soul. Even the pottery was custom and adorable—another detail that made the whole meal feel special. The only (minor) downside wasn’t even their fault: the restaurant next door had harsh fluorescent lighting that interrupted the otherwise lovely ambiance. But once the food hit the table, we barely noticed. Taverna Antonio is the kind of place you remember—not just for the food, but for the heart behind it. If you’re in Ischia, make a reservation. You’ll be lucky to get in.

My wife and I had lunch at Taverna Antonio yesterday, and we were very impressed. Obviously, the location is fantastic, but the service and food were even better. Perfectly cooked fish and octopus, then one of the best tiramisu we've ever eaten! Delicious!

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere! We stayed in Ischia for three days and came back twice to Taverna Antonio for dinner because we loved the food. The location is great, by the water and the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend going there for an authentic experience.

The best meal in Ischia - grilled octopus with veggies was so delicious. One of the best in my life. It’s a shame I came to this restaurant on my last day. Very beautiful atmosphere close to the water and yachts, nice staff and the owner Antonio is amazing. Highly recommend to everyone who wants to find fair price and quality in Ischia.

Gorgeous location, we sat outside in the sunshine for dinner. Very friendly staff and food was excellent. I had the tuna salad and the cheesecake. My partner enjoyed the tirimisu for dessert.

My wife and I decided to go local and have a simple meal at Taverna Antonio. The pasta was homemade and very fresh. I have the muscles and they were excellent. Sweet and tender. My wife had a basic pasta with tomato sauce and basil. It was perfect. The service was very good. No complaints on that front. Being right on the water was a perfect addition to a great meal.

Service was excellent. I'd give the food a B+. Pasta Bolognese was so so, Spaghetti with chili peppers was the best dish. Greek salad was solid. Gnocchi dishes were good, but not great.

Must go if you are in the island. The fried seafood is fresh and sweet with well-removed fishy smell. The owners are friendly and nice. Usually the restaurant is full. Must try the grilled octopus.

The location of this place is really cute right on the water beautiful scenery and the Decour and I'm Beyonce of the place is really nice too. I was personally disappointed with the spot because I had high expectations but that's how you learn to not have any expectations. We tried the recommended bruschetta with mozzarella. I personally am very picky with my bruschetta so I didn't like it at all. My partner in crime got an octopus appetizer, I personally wanted to cringed when I saw it. He devoured and he liked it a lot. For dinner I tried the carbonara, and I was really disappointed because it wasn't really creamy and it didn't really look like there were any exit it I didn't really eat it all and I was a little disappointed when the owner saw that I hadn't really even touched it and didn't ask if I liked it there to take care of it or anything. The only dish I liked was the Greek salad.

I was debating 5 or 4 stars because the food was absolutely excellent and the service was OK. Not 5 star service but Antonio took care of us. I got an off the menu item which was very nice of him to do. The weather has been bad so we sat in the covered porch but still all good. The bruschetta with pesto was incredible I highly suggest it. 51 euros for our meal plus one bottle of wine so you really can't beat that. I would suggest going here definitely... it was here or Al Pontile and we were disappointed

Just finished our last bite here, family owned, warm friendly service, shared the mussels spaghetti with my husband for a quick lunch with beers. Absolutely please go here! Great view of port, the best fresh seafood! They don't mind at all if you share, and delicious fresh bread!

Walking along the water it was almost impossible to choose a restaurant to eat at but I'm so glad we chose this one. We ordered the occtopus bruschetta which was a amazing with Aperol Spritz for a primi. The occtopus was like butter with no chewy texture. Mixed in with tomato basil olives (with pits) and celery on crispy fresh bread. For entree I had the pasta with mussels basil and tomato. The sauce was a very light butter which was perfect and not too heavy and they spared no expense with the amount of mussels on the dish. HUGE and plentiful. My mother had the gnocchi with tomato sauce and mozz. Normally I hate potato gnocchi but this was very soft and delicious. The sauce I could eat for the rest of my life. Think velvety tomato with very little seasoning. Simple and perfect. Enjoy this meal while overlooking the boats in the harbor. 10/10. Incredibly polite host who spoke English to us.
