I am in Austin attending a conference. Our group came to Taverna upon the recommendation of an associate. It was quite a nice experience. The host and wait staff were very accommodating and very friendly. While not overly crowded, we were seated promptly at a very nice window seat. The kitchen area is exposed to the patrons. The menu overall had plenty of great choices making my meal choice decision a little difficult. We had a few appetizers and the main course. Overall, everyone’s meal was nicely presented and prepared with care. No complaints here. Our waiter was very polite and offered great suggestions for meal choices. They did not disappoint.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taverna (downtown), and it was an experience worth sharing! Located downtown in a beautiful area perfect for a walk, this restaurant is surrounded by Second Street Business and Mexican Arte Museum. The lively yet charming atmosphere of the area makes it an ideal spot for romantic evenings, casual hangouts, exploring the city, etc. After dining, a stroll through the scenic streets adds to the experience. From the moment we walked in, We were warmly greeted by Lucia, the hostess, whose friendly and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a great evening. She made sure we were comfortably seated and even gave us a few recommendations. Our server, Chema, was equally fantastic—attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready with a smile. He made excellent suggestions and ensured our dining experience was seamless. The ambiance inside was elegant, while remaining casual and relaxing, making it perfect for date nights or solo dining. The staff was incredibly [friendly/attentive/professional, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience. Now, let’s talk about the food! We ordered Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese, Paglia E Fieno and Lasagna, and they were absolutely delicious and well thought out flavors. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. The highlight of the meal was Taverna Focacaccia, which I highly recommend. Don’t skip dessert— the perfect ending to a great meal. Final Thoughts: Overall, Taverna is a must-visit for “foodies”. Its downtown location, combined with excellent food and a great atmosphere, makes it a perfect spot to enjoy both a meal and a leisurely walk afterward. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

Absolutely in love with this restaurant. Margherita was flavorful, not too heavy. Also had the Paglia e Fieno. The truffle oil with cream sauce mixed with the mushrooms gave a nice earthy flavor. Chicken cooked to perfection. The portion was filling. I also recommend the Improved Aperol Spritz. I'll definitely visit again.

Hadn’t been downtown Austin in a while and we found this place a pleasant surprise. The staff were very friendly and nice. Took great care of us. The food was very good with the exception of the hash potatoes. They could have been slightly crispy vs. mushy, but overall we had a great time! The mimosas were $12 a bottle for brunch which I thought was a great price considering we were downtown Austin. Would definitely come back to try lunch/dinner food!

As an Italian, I usually avoid eating pasta outside my house because it’s always the American style – huge plates, heavy sauces that aren’t really Italian, etc. But that day I was starving, and we randomly walked into this restaurant. Alfredo was our server, and the first thing I loved was that he was Italian! The food was really good: authentic. The carpaccio was amazing, and the focaccia was freshly made and delicious. Only thing? The limoncello should totally be on the house

Wow! What an evening! My husband and I sat at the bar and every dish we ordered was fantastic including the desert. We e opted for the pistachio tiramisu and it simply melted in your mouth. There is something to be said about how delicious the food was because everything is made from scratch everyday - the pasta included. As a vegetarian myself, they were very accommodating with options and I appreciated that a lot. Our server, Mateo was amazing - helpful and such a positive attitude even working over 10 hours! The atmosphere was wonderful and we had a fantastic evening. All the boxes were checked and we left very satisfied and will definitely make this restaurant one of our go to’s when we visit Austin. Thank you!

Google
I didn’t try the food… or any drink besides water, but my recommendation to this place goes to the talent that goes and plays there, is something else! All the people that I saw the day on the video and the next day was another girl signing just as good as them! Hope you enjoy this place if you’re visiting Austin

The taverna I walked into was fantastic. I received such a warm welcome and got amazing service at the bar from Alex. Sorry I forgot to take a photo of the bruschetta it was just so delicious! The blood orange margarita was excellent, really well balanced. And I absolutely loved the paglia e fieno! Thank you!❤️

Yelp
I just popped in after another restaurant didn't have availability and boy was I surprised by Taverna. We were sat immediately during the week as the place seemed slightly busy but otherwise easy to get into. I prefer the bar and the staff was quick to seat us and serve. The focaccia was awesome and plentiful - honestly enough for 4 people with a great oil/vinegar for dipping. I ordered the eggplant parm and the portion was perfect, and the spaghetti was al dente! The vibe of this joint makes for a great date spot or anniversary dinner. I'll be back to try the outdoor seating along the street once the weather improves.

Yelp
I had high expectations for Taverna, especially since it always looks packed whenever I pass by-- day or night. The space has a clean, modern vibe, but navigating between tables is a challenge--it's cramped and closely packed, which I'm not a fan of. I could even smell the person sitting next to me, and trust me, it wasn't pleasant!! The menu offers pizzas, pastas, and basic breakfast items, but nothing particularly exciting. The one thing worth mentioning? $3 MIMOSAS. On weekends, The Baci Room is open for patrons as part of dining in the day and offers the same menu. But at night, the Baci Room comes live and turns into a lively cocktail lounge.

Yelp
We did brunch here for a birthday. This is a great place to have a birthday brunch. The food is good and the space is super cute. Also, you don't have to worry about parking because you can get it validated. All you have to do is park in the parking garage behind. So there's no need to worry about dealing with having to find a parking spot which is nice. The service here was also great. Our waiter was super sweet and gave us a lot of suggestions on what to pick. Most importantly, the food did not disappoint. I recommend getting pasta here because you really can't fail with that. I believe they make their own pasta, which is why it tastes so good. We went for brunch, but I still got the pasta. Specifically, I got the eggplant Parmesan. I will say it probably was not the healthiest meal, but it still really liked it and ate all of it. Also if you have to pick between a mimosa and a Bellini always go for the Bellini because it's just better. This place has tons of vegetarian options which also means I can come here again and try different meals and I love that. I'm sure they would be able to accommodate vegans since there are so many vegetarian options but I did not ask. Overall, this was a great meal I recommend this place as a fun brunch spot for a celebration!

Yelp
I came here just for desserts. I sat at the bar so there was no wait. I got the torta di ricotta e mascaprone and the espresso creme brûlée. You must get the espresso creme brulee! It is absolutely divine with a nice coffee and creamy texture. It's not overly sweet either and the burnt sugar on top was great. Skip the torta di ricotta e mascarpone. It had red velvet and dark chocolate layers in a cheesecake slice. It was okay and not worth $14.

Yelp
For first time visit and for this meal gathering, food was just right temp and had a homestyle taste. Service, specifically at the bar was excellent. Very inviting and friendly ambiance, not loud or crowded. Very reasonable pricing. Parking could be done privately 1 block from establishment, if no parking on street. If in the area in future definitely will visit this place and recommend to many.

Yelp
The restaurant is bright, modern, and welcoming the minute you walk in. The service is typical of upscale casual. Drinks to a very long time to arrive but were worth the wait. Unique flavors and high quality made every sip a treat. I especially enjoyed the Blood Orange margarita. The menu boasts authentic Italian with a few unique complements. The gnocchi in a short rib ragu was amazing. The beef was slow cooked to perfection and the gnocchi was the perfect texture. Their pesto is also tasty and well appointed with colorful vegetables. I do not recommend the focaccia. It seemed to be just the pizza crust with a few, superficial accoutrement that did not add to the taste. Our table did quite enjoy the squash chips with truffle aioli; it was a savory complement to our cocktails. Will definitely go back any time I'm in Austin.

Yelp
While attending a conference I met with some colleagues for lunch here and we were all very pleased with our dishes. The restaurant is very light and airy with a sense of fine dining. Our waiter was so kind and helped my colleague with the menu and he was super attentive and funny too. My the halibut was decadent and our waiter suggested the perfect wine pairing for my fish. The tiramisu is my favorite dessert and this did not disappoint. The fruit sorbets tasted like real raspberries and mango. So delicious!

Yelp
Was in Austin waiting for the Amtrak train that was very delayed so went out into town searching for dinner. This place was a great find, quality wines at a reasonable price. The eggplant parm was absoultely perfect and Im a hard judge for eggplant. If in town I highly recommend a visit here.

Yelp
The best spot with great GF options! My go-to for Italian! Please bring back the kale and rotisserie chicken salad!!

Yelp
I ordered the lasagna from Taverna for takeout, and it was fantastic! Even after taking it home, the flavors were rich, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu. Highly recommend Taverna for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors! In the past I'd usually get the gnocchi with ragu- the best thing I like to get from their menu. The waitstaff is okay, I wouldn't say they have exceptional service.

Yelp
Recently went here with a large group for a friend's birthday and had a pretty good time on a Saturday evening! We got to sit in the lounge area and the DJ was playing some amazing music in the background. Service was a little slow but they were super kind. Enjoyed seeing so many vegetarian options on the menu and especially in the pasta section. Appetizers were super yum and the vegetarian pastas that we tried were good but not GREAT. They validate parking for the garage they're attached to (AMLI downtown garage) so it was very convenient despite being in dtown. Squash Zucchini Chips: 9/10 (came with THE BEST Aioli everrrr) Focaccia: 10/10 (try it with the Burrata Caprese) Burrata Caprese: 9/10 Brushchetta: 7/10 Cacio E Pepe: 7.5/10 Rigatoni: 7/10 Risotto Porcini E Tartufo: 8.5/10
google avatar

Jake H.

Yelp
Taverna, the downtown Austin location, had great food and wine! We went for a birthday celebration and went specifically for the Cacio e Pepe. We started with the Frittura Mista Di Mare (calamari, shrimps, vegetables, spicy tomato aioli, tartar sauce, lemon), then the Cacio which is prepared tableside in a Parmesan wheel, and had to finish with dessert. It was a great evening!!

Yelp
Strong 3.5/5. But a 4 for service and fantastic music selection I thought it was a 90s/early 00s RnB pool party Everything is solid, but not outstanding? That includes the focaccia, bruschetta, wagyu burger, capriocella (definitely misspelled) - the most underwhelming of the night. Tiramisu was too rich, not quite balanced. Panna Cotta was cooool

Yelp
Taverna is one of my top brunch spots in Austin. The grilled octopus is consistently moist, crispy, and delicious. I always order it when I visit. The drinks are good, though I had to request an extra shot for my ston fruit martini. The Gnocchi Rustici, recommended by our server, was excellent, especially if you enjoy short rib. The atmosphere is casual yet sophisticated, enhanced by a DJ.

Yelp
Our experience at Taverna started off frustrating but was ultimately salvaged by excellent management. We chose to dine outdoors, but as the sun shifted, the patio became unbearably bright. I asked if the shade could be lowered and waited five minutes with no response before relocating to a shaded table. Eventually, a manager briefly poked his head out to say the shade couldn't be adjusted--without offering assistance or even walking over to inform us directly. As the sun continued to move, we had to switch tables again. Another couple did the same. Then, a third table requested shade, and General Manager Sam effortlessly lowered it with a remote. No issue at all. When I mentioned that we had moved twice and another couple had relocated once, Sam immediately apologized for the earlier manager's handling of the situation and comped us a drink. The other couple received a similar courtesy. Sam's professionalism and attentiveness reflect the level of service expected at a quality restaurant. While the initial experience was frustrating, Sam's response turned things around. Would I return? Yes,but only with confidence that management like Sam's is in charge.

Yelp
We showed up without reservations at 5:45 and they did not have any availability. The bar was available and a couple kindly shifted so we could have two seats together. Service was excellent. Food was excellent, delicious and well presented. Patrons were across the board on age and dining area, bar and patio were all very lively. Nice place. Bathroom could use additional fit and finish work but were clean.

Yelp
Visited Taverna last week as my cousins were visiting Austin. They wanted to see the bats by the Congress Bridge so we decided to eat somewhere near within walking distance to the bridge. I made a reservation and found out they have 2-hour validated parking which was perfect as it was in the garage around the corner. So convenient since it was hard to find where to park downtown. We were able to have dinner, go to the Congress Bridge to try to see the bats which never came and only paid $8 for the extended time! It saved us $22 in parking fees! After being seated, bread was quickly brought with a Marinara dipping sauce. I didn't have any bread as I had a big & hearty sandwich just a few hours before. I looked at the menu and first ordered a Sparkling Rosé. It was perfect and great way to wind down since we went outlet shopping earlier and had dropped off our stuff in our Air BnB. The waiter seemed busy and he was a bit rushed but so we ordered our drinks so he could put that in and quickly decided on our entrees. He mentioned some specials but we ended up ordering the Spaghetti Seafood Pasta, the Green & White Taglialini with Wild Mushrooms and a cream sauce and I just ordered a Caesar Salad with a side of grilled chicken. Both of the pasta entrees were pretty tasty and flavorful. I'd like to have tried the Wild Mushroom pasta as it looked nice and creamy. My salad was nice and fresh-tasting but I would've liked to have more dressing as it was on the drier side. My cousin accidentally knocked over her Prosecco so the servers gladly cleared the broken glass from the table and offered a refill. My cousin said that they could just bring half a glass. The staff was very attentive & accommodating. The seafood pasta was very generous and my cousin could only finish the seafood towards the end and her daughter didn't finish her pasta either but said it was very tasty. We did ask our waiter about the desserts as he mentioned something with Passion Fruit. We decided to get it and it was very tangy and refreshing with the Passion Fruit sauce! I think I would've eaten the whole thing myself! My cousin's from Hawaii & I love "Lilikoi" so we jumped on this dessert! Kudos to the Chef for the delicious entrees and the pastry chef for offering this delightful dessert! Everything was pretty tasty and the ambiance was nice, airy and bright. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Typical mid level Italian restaurant. The food was nice and flavorful but not a huge standout for me. The service and atmosphere were also average. It's worth going if you are looking for a place to eat in the area but not sure if anything would be particularly memorable.

Yelp
We popped in for a quick bite after a show at ACL Live. The kitchen was open on a Friday night until 10:30 which was great news. The drinks were good, but the food was a bit of a let down. The short rib gnocchi was much more oily than anticipated. This could be due to it being close to closing hours, but I was severely underwhelmed.
google avatar

Riya S.

Yelp
I ordered the margherita pizza and it was pretty good. It definitely could have used more flavor, salt and pepper, and the toppings were sparse but the cheese was plentiful and the crust was perfect. It's just a bit boring for me so I wouldn't get it again. Service was good, no complaints. Very classy restaurant if a bit loud.

Yelp
Our group was in town for a bachelorette party so we needed fuel before the events. We stumbled upon this place which is perfectly located downtown. It's right on the corner but not in the middle of all the chaos downtown. Even though we didn't have reservations, they were able to accommodate us immediately. We got there before the supper rush which is good because we got great service before other diners came in. Unfortunately afterwards our server forgot we were there. The food and drinks here are is delicious. The lavender refresher is so tasty and pairs perfectly with any entree. All the dishes did have a lot of pepper in it. Not sure if one of the chefs love pepper but every dish had a strong taste of pepper. *Gluten Free Diners* Even after ordering, double check your food is GF. We had two dishes dropped off that weren't gluten free even tho we ordered them GF. Their GF focaccia bread tasted so delicious and not like any GF bread you've ever tasted. Our non GF eaters even loved it! The overall ambiance is great. Beautiful decor, ample seating and in a great location. The bathroom was in desperate need of servicing. I am sure if we stopped by during a non rush time we would have received a better dining experience.

Yelp
We stopped here unexpectedly while looking for a place in the pouring rain. It had to be something my daughter would eat. Pizza and pasta sounded perfect. This was a stop for convenience and we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our time here. We were greeted with enthusiasm and seated promptly as it was during the week and there weren't many people out at this time (especially because of the rain). Our waitress was very nice and patient as we tried to get our daughter situated (this is always something I appreciate). My husband and I ordered the margherita pizza which was brick oven style (my favorite). I didn't see a kid's menu, so we got the spaghetti pomodoro for my daughter and were able to substitute for rigatoni no problem since it is easier for her to eat. We were able to try some and the sauce was very good. It was thick and creamy, but thin enough to still be saucy. She ate a ton, and we took the rest back to our hotel. For dessert, we ordered the passion fruit creme brulee. It was unique and very good. It was tart in all the right places and a great way to end the meal. The ambiance was nice too. We ended up sitting outside because they had a covered patio and the rain had let up a lot by then. Everything seemed clean. I'd come here again!
google avatar

Yue G.

Yelp
Food came a little slow but they taste good. I am surprised to see the container my sea bass was presented. The cheesecake was a free gift for birthday and it is done just right (not overly sweet; texture is light and smooth). We will definitely come back!
google avatar

Tayo F.

Yelp
We decided to go here since we would be down town for an Easter service anyways. I called a week in advance and they messed up my reservation...twice but we were still able to get it sorted by before we actually got there. The meal was really good and the servers were very nice but it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food which wasn't great because we saw many other tables receive their food, eat their meal and leave. We were basically one of the last tables left at the end of the meal rush but I'm going to assume they were just overwhelmed.
google avatar

Yelp
I went here for brunch after church across the street and it was amazing! They prefer people who make reservations but they did take walk ins also. The ambiance is very modern and nice. Everyone in my party was happy with their food and drinks!

Yelp
Came on a Sunday around 1pm for brunch, it was decently packed but not 100% full. We had a table of 7 people, after ordering the food took about 40 minutes to come out and by this time the restaurant was now half empty. Waitress didn't come over during the time waiting for our food to check in on us or let us know the backlog on the food coming out. I ordered the Taverna hash, the brisket was cold. I didnt want to have them remake knowing how long it took for food to come out. The portion size wasn't that big, not too many potatoes in the hash. Auto 20% tip for a group more than 6, waitress did point this out to us (so kudos to her) but also did verbally ask for additional tips. Overall disappointed with this experience, lackluster service+ overpriced for lackluster flavors and small portions. Most likely wouldn't come again.

Billy B.

Yelp
Our food and service is always outstanding everytime we come here. I visit Austin once a year and Taverna is a must place to go. It is always a happening place to eat and get drinks!

Justin J.

Yelp
Service was not good at all. Our waiter never bothered to come by. Food was pretty good but service really made it un enjoyable.

Emilee S.

Yelp
We have a reservation for Valentine's Day dinner and just got a phone call (3 hours before dinner) that they have no heaters outside and won't accommodate us inside. Poor planning and even worse customer service. We used to frequent Taverna as it's just down the street from our apartment but we will not be back after this.

Keith M.

Yelp
Hostess was rude. 6 open tables on the patio and she said it was an hour wait. We went to desanos and it was way better!
google avatar

Yelp
The girlies and I really enjoyed the nice ambiance and our waiter, Eduardo! He was very friendly, attentive, and efficient! Will definitely be asking for him the next time we go back! Food was great, a little pricey though.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite brunch experiences ever and that is specifically tied to the exceptional staff!! A friend that dined with me loved an item that was no longer on the menu. However, they decided to still make it for him. We felt so special and cared for here. They also had a DJ on the weekend who is so nice and fun! That made for the perfect vibe for our friend group. The environment is relaxed and fun for conversation. PLUS the food is absolutely exceptional! Will be back again soon!

Yelp
8/10 -Lamb (Daily Special) -Filetto Di Manzo -Blood Orange Margarita The first pic is a rack of lamb, cut and displayed elegantly paired with potato puree and other garnishes. A little under temp for my liking but was still delicious. This item was one of their daily specials and isn't on their normal menu. The second pic shows a flavor tenderloin, mashed potatoes, carrots and asparagus. This was my favorite out of the two. The meal was then enjoyed with some tasty blood orange margaritas .This restaurant is great if you have the craving for Italian cuisine, either for lunch or dinner! Highly recommend! Yelp
Decent club type restaurant in downtown Austin. I think they do Italian food well, but the vibe was a mix for me. The crowd didn't seem to be a fan of the loud music during the day, but I was. On the weekends, they start a live DJ around 11:30am. I wish they had more brunch specials, but the meatballs were delicious and the burger was so good I forgot to take a photo. Our server was nice and I would definitely refer the right crowd to come back!

Yelp
My daughter treated me to Taverna for my birthday. It was very good. Appetizers was amazing. I am not an Italian foodie but I would give it a thumbs up. I cannot say too much about the Entrée. Who goes to an Italian restaurant to eat steak, I do. I had the special. The plate looked amazing but when I dug into the steak it was dry and overcooked. I order it medium rare. I like to see blood. I would say it was medium well, almost cooked. My son in law had a steak as well. He sent his back and the replacement was entirely much better. So, I would say it was good. Our waitress was amazing. I apologize for not catching her name. She was very apologetic and did everything she could to ensure we had a great time. We spent two hours there. Catching up with family. Drinks were great! I don't drink but there were no complaints. They even allowed us to taste before ordering the full glass. Ambiance was quaint. The lighting on our side kept flickering. It was dim and cozy. It is small so if you take a large party make sure to call it in ahead of time. My husband on the other hand noticed something he didn't like. A waiter dropped a half eaten pickle which was never picked up. It was a little hazardous since everyone kept stepping on it. My husband got a napkin and picked up after an hour of it being on the floor where everyone was walking. On another note: if you are looking for quaint and ambiance, good Italian food this would be a great place. Oh, by the way, the waitress upon boxing my left overs to take home, she ensured that my steak was redone and that my friends is great service. Did not expect a replacement. Wish I took photos. Kudos ya'll!

Yelp
Good food. Food service. The BEC sandwich was fire. Will definitely be back! 10/10. Cool vibe too. Wasn't too crowded.

Yelp
FOOD ALLERGY CAUTION/NEGLIGENCE: If a person has allergies like me I recommend steering clear from this restaurant. I had a horrible experience after notifying the waiter of my severe allergy. (The salad I ordered came with a peanut sauce which I switched for a vinaigrette. I was assured "allergy protocol" is followed.) I was served and within 5 minutes my throat started swelling. The general manager was informed by the waiter. The waiter and GM were apologetic (which I appreciated) but it did not remedy my problem. I had to leave with my friend, find an Uber to a pharmacy that was open 24/7 hours (thank GOD for CVS and Uber), and miss our next planned activity (major bummer!). However, the dish was plated beautifully, and the restaurant took care of my bill.

Yelp
10/10 italian food. The atmosphere and service was spectacular. We really enjoyed our drinks and the pastas were delicious. Would definitely recommend for a girls night!

Yelp
Came here for brunch! What a cute spot! Good photo ops for Instagram as well. We got a whole Carafe of champagne for mimosas for $12. All the food we ordered was really good. Recommend making a reservation especially on the weekend! If you park in the garage they will validate your parking. Go check them out!

Yelp
We went for brunch this past Sunday. I ordered the eggs benedict which was good. I didnt want to try the crab eggs benedict because of the review I saw. We shared the orange vanilla french toast which was yummy. My husband order the Taverna hash which he said was good. My sister ordered the crab eggs benedict and she said wasnt bad. We also ordered Chef's Focaccia as our appetizer which we loved with the EVOO and Balsamic. Wish I knew how to make that for my get togethers. And they do validate for parking which was a plus. Overall we enjoyed the food but we didnt like how the music was so loud that we had to shout. I felt like I was in a club eating.

Yelp
The seafood linguine had good flavor. However, adding a few couched red pepper flakes brought it to a new level. It came with shrimp, calamari and mussels all cooked perfectly. They music during dinner was really a nice touch. Later on in the evening there is also a dj.

Yelp
This was my favorite restaurant. I made a reservation for my birthday. We came at 8pm. My husband and best friend went to the table while I went to use the restroom. It was prom. I gave several compliments to the sweet girls in their dresses. I never ran into a server or manager. Just walked back to my table. That day was my 48th birthday celebration and we had gone indoor skydiving. Then went to my condo to get ready for dinner. I had a glass of wine while getting ready. Upon getting back to the table I said hello to our server and asked that my husband choose a wine. At this point he told me his manager "heard me slurring" and so did he. And that he could not serve me. I was obviously confused. I was not intoxicated at all! I expected that I had new invisilign. So maybe they thought that was my slurring? I asked to see the manager that "heard me slurring" and she came to the table. I had never seen her. Her name was Samantha. The server said his name was Ryan. Because I was sober, I tried to reason that maybe they had maybe mistaken me for someone else or misunderstood my speech with my new mouth pieces. I can't stress how humiliating that was. I was mortified. I even went so far to let them know I lived close and we took a Lyft. Even though I was not drunk or acting drunk. I have no other words. Just humiliated. I would like to add (as per my friends reminder) I have a stutter it didn't occur to me in the moment as I was just acting like a proper lady. But I do suffer from a stutter. And I often forget.

Yelp
Such a fun brunch spot! To eat, I had the chicken and waffles which was pretty solid. The mimosas were delicious however and $12 for a pitcher was a great deal. Whenever you order shots, they bring out sparklers for everyone who ordered one at the table. Since it was my birthday, we all did a shot together which was so fun. Our waiter was great and he even brought a little dessert out to celebrate. Definitely make a reservation if you go! Also the music was really good but you can't hear it unless you're on the bar side.

Yelp
Very nice place to grab a drink with friends. Wait staff was attentive and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The decor is clean and modern. Drinks were Austin prices of course, but were tasty.

Yelp
Hadn't been to Taverna in years but came for dinner before a concert at ACL live and glad I did! Still as delicious as I remembered and the interior and bar has a great set up. Our sever was also attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic, hot and cooked well. Will definitely come back again soon.

Yelp
I went to the domain TAVERNA to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary and told our waiter that this was a special event we're celebrating. Towards the end of the night our waiter gave us the dessert menu told me especially to pick a desert out. I thought that we would be getting a complimentary desert for our 32nd anniversary because the waiter just spoke to me not my husband or anyone else at the table. Oh, how disappointed we were!!! We thought that the waiter was giving us a complimentary to celebrate our special anniversary. Needless to say we will not be coming back here again because of this incident. We were never treated like this before for our special celebrations.

Yelp
I have returned to this location with my dear wife and niece for the delicious food. Little did I know my niece would wet her pants because she was too scared to use the horrifying see through bathroom stalls! My wife says the other ladies in the restroom did not feel comfortable to use such a stall! Whoever designed this bathroom is a cretin and a creep! Cheers!

Yelp
