We had the most amazing time! The setting is perfect with lights and cozy blankets on the patio. The service was impeccable and the food was devine. Wonderful attention to our food allergies and attentive care to our younger family members. What a memorable evening! Thank you!

Impressed by the Fettuccine All'Isolana ($34) - fettuccine with half of a lobster which felt like the star of the show and the real bargain of the meal! It was well prepared, appropriate sized portions. Also ordered Cacio e Pepe ($27) which was served table-side - cooked al dente (as it should be) but it needed a little more seasoning (perhaps salt in the pasta water). Also felt it was slightly small and I’m a light eater - and could have used 2-3 more bites. Service was a bit stretched but this is a fairly new restaurant - tried within first 2 months of opening. Beautiful restaurant (gold & teal color theme) with thoughtful and quality flatware, dishes, and accents. I was a little scared about tipping over/falling out of the barstool (sat at a hightop in the bar area.) Insalata di Sorrento ($14) is a light and small salad. I frequently eat a salad for a meal, but this would’ve been too small. Server was friendly but a bit stretched. Highly recommend a reservation since the restaurant is still new and popular. Going to try again (when things settle down from new opening) and will adjust review accordingly.

I’m blown away that the food and service is already this good after only being open for a few weeks. We had a fantastic upscale Italian experience in the enclosed patio. Can’t wait for the weather to warm up and try out the larger exterior patio.

We Loved Taverna Sorrentina! The restaurant is gorgeous with a vibe which is fun, vibrant, and cozy. Best of all the food was Exceptionally prepared with fresh, authentic Italian flavors. We ordered every course on the menu and each one Delish. Very Different than other Italian restaurants in Danville which we really enjoyed. The cocktails were balanced and definitely complimented our meal. 5 stars all around! I would have liked a little more seasoning across the dishes, but this was minor when compared to the Freshness of ingredients. We’ve visited Italy several times++ and I really felt and tasted the authenticity of the food. Loved It!!

It was such a pleasant evening last night. There were 4 of us and really enjoyed the ambiance out on the heated patio. The touch of having those beautiful blankets on all the chairs to use was a special touch. While my main entree was not as expected, due to my own failure of not asking what was in the sauce, they did not charge me for my meal, even though I would have been more than happy to have paid for it since it was my fault , again, a superior way to run a business. I look forward to our next dinner there, quite an impressive staff.

Beautiful space with yummy food and great customer service. Love how they make some of the dishes at the table. For those concerned about noise level, it wasn’t noisy at all. Will definitely come back to try more of their fun cocktails.

Google
Food was delicious. Great service. Only ding is the ambiance - bit crowded/chaotic even with reservations Newer restaurant, so they're ironing things out still. Would recommend - plan to go back once the new restaurant rush subsides a little.

Yelp
Taverna Sorrentina -- Wow!! This is a definite must try and is popular. Our table neighbors love this place but didn't take to the previous place (which we agree with). Restaurant are taking recipes from two Italian Regions: Capri and Sorrentina. This is restaurant is new, probably about a month old. Food is elegantly prepared and plated. We loved the Apollo Sorrento (chicken stuffed and presented with an excellent Marsala sauce. Note: we normally don't like common Marsala sauce but this was a wow. The meatball appetizer and Insalata Sorrento were superb. Just the right amount of salt and flavors that compliments the ingredients. We ended with a Core Salado desert -- think lava cake with gelato which was one of the nicest Italian restaurant desserts we have experienced recently. They also have some items that are marked as table side presentation. We didn't order anything from that list but our neighbors did. One of the pasta dishes was served by flaming half-inch large pasta rigatoni with cheese. I think you can add protein to some of these dishes but the one we saw was a high-carb, high cream item. Looked rich. The restaurant is blue and gold themed. They did a great job tying all elements together for a pleasant, romantic, elegant setting that wasn't pretentious. Tables placed with "linen" tablecloths without butcher paper. Service -- excellent and on point. The vibe is high energy. Ceiling appeared to have nicely decorated acoustic tiles to reduce noise. Restaurant was packed on Wednesday evening. They take reservations. We will be back and strongly recommend.

Yelp
A Stunning New Standout in Downtown Danville - 5/5 We visited this new Italian restaurant in Downtown Danville within its first two weeks of opening, and it is already operating at an exceptional level. We arrived on time for our reservation and were delighted to be shown to our table immediately. The restaurant was completely full, buzzing with energy and conversation, and it was impressive to be seated so quickly given how busy it was. They've completely reworked the space (it used to be an Italian restaurant before), and the new décor is striking and beautifully done. It feels upscale yet warm, and the tables are thoughtfully spaced so you never feel cramped or like you're dining on top of your neighbors. From the moment we sat down, the service stood out. The owner, Rosario, was ever-present, clearly on top of everything in the room, and you could feel his pride and care in how the evening ran. Our server, Manuela, was fantastic--extremely attentive without ever being pushy. The cocktails set the tone. We started with the Giallo Limone (picture attached) and the Italian take on an old fashioned, the Affumicato. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious--balanced, refined, and memorable. For food, we began with the Manzo Tonnato, their take on carpaccio, which was excellent. As a mid-course, we shared the Parmigiana di Melanzane, which was simply outstanding--comforting, layered, and full of flavor. For our entrées, we had the Fettuccine all'Isolana, a pasta with fresh Maine lobster in a lobster bisque sauce, and it was nothing short of magnificent. We paired this with the Insalata d'Inverno (endive, spinach, cucumber, beets, cauliflower, feta cheese, mushrooms, and white fermented cantaloupe in an Italian vinaigrette), which was fresh, creative, and a perfect counterpoint to the richness of the pasta. Rosario was also extremely helpful in selecting a wine. He recommended a Tuscan red blend that paired beautifully with our meal and was an exceptionally good value for the quality. Overall, this is an easy 5 out of 5. The attention to detail, the warmth and professionalism of the service, the quality and creativity of the food, and the overall vibe were all outstanding. If you're in or near Downtown Danville, you really do want to give this place a try--it already feels like a new local favorite in the making.

Yelp
This Italian restaurant is one of those rare places that truly stays with you. From the moment we walked in the ambiance and aroma of sauces simmering we knew the food was going to be good! The food, drink menu, and staff were outstanding! The pasta tastes genuinely homemade, perfectly tender, and paired with sauces that are rich, balanced, and authentic. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely excited to share their favorites. We had an exceptional espresso martini with white chocolate while we waited to be seated. With its cozy atmosphere and unforgettable food, this place delivers the kind of dining experience that makes you linger a little longer with friends and plan your next visit on the way out. A true gem for Danville! We will be back soon!

Yelp
I came here for their grand opening and I was genuinely blown away by the decor and the quality of the food. I can't stop thinking about these fried little dough balls and the amazing meatballs I had. I'm picky when it comes to tomato sauce and the sauce on the meatballs were made with love and attention to detail. The wine list and cocktail list were diverse and well balanced. I can't wait to come back and do the pasta in the Parmesan cheese wheel!

Yelp
Gorgeous restaurant with amazing food! We tried the calamari appetizer along with the prosciutto and grilled chicken paninis -- everything was exceptional. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Made a reservation to take my husband for his birthday 3 weeks in advance. When we arrived we were told the entire inside area had been reserved for a private party so we had to sit outside on the patio. They did everything they could to make us warm (heaters, blankets) but it would have been nice if they told me the situation when I called. Eating outside with my coat on is not my idea of a nice evening out! My husband enjoyed his meal and said he'd go back again. I won't but it's because I'm Vegan. There was nothing on the menu that I could eat. They were very nice to make me a plain Romain salad with olive oil and vinegar, and pasta with a marinara sauce. Why are there no vegetable sides??!! The service was very attentive.

Yelp
This is an excellent new addition to our little downtown. We popped in over the weekend when we had some guests in town. We ended up sitting outside in a cold night, but between the heaters and blankets, it was very accommodating. The service was top notch. The food was excellent! Every dish that came out was pretty, and flavorful. So much fun to have a little table side dishes made as well. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
BEST people, food, and dining experience. And the decor and ambiance was amazing! I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Taverna Sorrentina was such a great experience. The vibe is warm and relaxed, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. I ordered an Old Fashioned to start, and it ended up being one of the best I've had in Danville, perfectly balanced and super smooth. And also came with a show! For my meal, I got the cacio e pepe, and it was amazing. The pasta tasted fresh, the sauce was creamy without being heavy, and the pepper gave it the perfect bite. Simple, but done really, really well. Overall, everything felt thoughtful and high quality. I left happy and already wanting to come back. Highly recommend!
