Taverne Alsacienne

From the outside you would not expect this high level of cooking but it was a true pleasure to eat here with the family. The family customers with kids were placed on the left side of the restaurant which was perfect so we don’t feel like disturbing the other guests who came for a more romantic evening. The food was delicious and unfortunately we did not have space left for a dessert, but maybe next time!

Absolutely charming restaurant with terrific ambience, food and service. Popular with locals, we know why. It is Bib Gourmand rated by Michelin. Very reasonable prices we felt for the quality of food and service. Parking on the street, make sure to reserve.

Don't let the rustic exterior of the building deceive you: Taverne Alsacienne offers some great Alsatian and French cuisine, only somewhat elevated and refined. Excellent wine pairing, too - let the hosts choose for you and you will not be disappointed. Attentive and thoughtful service. I enjoyed it very much.

Exquisite local cuisine, made with regional and seasonal ingredients. Staff were very friendly and kind and helped us choose dishes. As a vegetarian I was amazed about how tasty they made vegetables taste by smoking them and other techniques. Desserts were not too sweet and really refreshing. Highly reccommended!!!!

We had a magnificent menu in this restaurant. The pluma iberico was really special. A very soft porc meat with forest mushrooms. Also the desert matcha moelleux was very good, event though I am not a matcha fan, I would still recommend it. Friendly service with good fresh food. What more can you hope for.

The wine producer who lives nearby, recommended this restaurant. It may not be too casual but suitable for all sorts of occasions. Food was good, quite traditional but still not a style of bistros without much volume. Big wine list to accompany fine food here.
