The decorations are really stunning with all sort of old toys and video cassettes. It was really intriguing just to keep looking at the decorations lol. The drinks were good, nothing really elaborated but the ambiance is really good. You could do your own karaoke there. Really fun. We did really like the ambiance in this bar. I just kept looking at the decorations 😂. It was really nice. A definitely must go if you want some karaoke with some drinks with ambiance.

We were there for around 3 hours, we queued songs as soon as we arrived but none of our songs played ever. In the meantime I saw the same guy going up like 3 times while we were there. The DJ just ignored all me and my friend's songs. ):

The decor, ambiance, music and menu at @tavernecobra is so eclectic that anyone would have a great time there but especially if you grew up in the 80's or 90's. The attention to detail is truly cristalizing. We couldnt help but stare and evrything for the first 15 minutes upon entering. Pointing and every pop culture reference we recognized (especially the Simpsons stuff). This is the type of place to return to over and over. Maybe next time we'll summon the courage to actually sing instead of taking the directive painted on the wall to seriously.

If you're looking for a proper dive bar in the area, look no further. Karaoke 6 days a week will make locals just crazy enough for an entertaining night Staff, impeccable

Such a cool place to place free arcade games, drink beer and hang out. The vintage decor is wonderful and fun! Cash only bar though although they have an ATM.

Yelp
I really like this bar, but there is something missing to it that will allow me to share four star review. Discovered last year Cobra has now turned into an usual spot for a drink after hanging in Little Italy. I'm stubborn and continue to order Bloody Caesars although they recently have brought a major disappointment. The cocktail is consistent, but when I had it for the first time last year there was a beef jerky in it. This summer for whatever reason the jerky is gone from the cocktail, it is still supposed to be there according to the menu, but nowhere to be found in my drink. This is why a star is removed, sorry, I'm picky about the Caesars. Cobra is definitely kind of hip place to be looking at the crowd gathering there on Friday night. I really enjoy the 80s memorabilia, the movies shown on an old TV using VHS system, the list of drinks has been now transferred into a VHS boxes, funny, but difficult to read. The music choices have been always awesome. The service may be spotty. Even on an evening when sitting on the little patio and there were only few customers we had to wave persistently to get another drink or just the check. Drink wise Cobra delivers, they will surprise you with local beers that you would need to search hard for in Montreal as the the amazing Milkshake IPA of Jukebox or the old fashioned Laurentide of Molsson. Conclusion I would continue coming here, but please bring the jerky back in my Bloody Cobra if you want another star.

Yelp
Nice tavern type where Stars Wars and Roadhouse plays on their big projection setups and 70s and early 80s hard rock music plays on and on. Nice booths on one side and bar on the other. The walls are decorated with kitch memorabilia from those 2 decades. I tried their "jumbo" hot dog which is $5 and just a very regular size...nothing special. Duff beer is available and pinball machines and old video games. Very nice young feeling. They had a nice front terrace on St-Laurent blvd when I went on Saturday night for the Hot Rod weekend.

Yelp
The place decor is certainly interesting, maybe a little bit too much. Their terrace is nice though and the beer is served in chilled beer mugs, which helps to cool down on a hot day. I heard they have karaoke on some days, I can imagine that would be fun. Overall, I found this place to be an okay, yet not as exiting as I imagined.

Yelp
A great little find on Saint Laurent, this American style bar is something straight out of Roadhouse. I think both Homer Simpson and Chuck Norris would have something to enjoy. From the Duff beer to the arcade games and yummy steamies, this place offers a nice and relaxing atmosphere à la Jack and Coke.

Yelp
One of the best bars I've ever been to. I wouldn't exactly call it a dive bar because its pretty bright, clean & well decorated. Loved the neon signs, old school video games, & banners. The music was amazing. When I arrived they were playing old school 70-80s rock music & around midnight switched to the 'get lit' playlist of current hip hop & rap music. In the background horror movies were playing with the sound off! The crowd was great, I went on a Sunday so it was filled with bartenders, waitresses, magicians, & rock lead singers (everyone was cooler than me). The drinks were very reasonably priced, they were running a special where it seemed like every drink was $7. I got a bombay on the rocks for just 7$ & so was my friends 40oz of beer-not used to that coming from NYC. The only downfall of this bar is that I have to travel 6 hours to get there. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Montreal.

Yelp
If you don't come to this place you're an idiot. My guy Nicholas is the greatest guy ever. Great playlist. Everything is out of this world. Must stop here
