Tawakoni Marina

My family and I recently stayed in the cabins there and they were amazing! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all our questions and needs. We had a minor power issue in one of our cabins so they generously provided us with a different cabin and also allowed us access to the other cabin once the issue was resolved. I’m not sure if that is common practice but we basically got 3 cabins when we only rented 2! It was definitely above and beyond our expectations and more than made up for the mild inconvenience of the temporary power outage. The cabins were all extremely clean and beautiful. We stayed in “taste of Tahiti,and paradiso” I’m not sure what the other cabin was called but it was also very nice. My nephew and son liked it enough to book an additional night. We caught several fish and had an amazing time. I definitely recommend this place and I thank them for their hospitality.

We rented a 24’ pontoon boat from them to take our 4 teenage boys and 8 year old daughter to do some fishing and absolutely had a blast. The boat worked great. We were met in the office with an amazing staff who were quick to get us all set up and ready to hit the water! Once we were done fishing we came back and at at the Food Trolley and had some amazing burgers & the kids played and enjoyed just relaxing on the hammocks while the wife and I did some fishing from the dock. They’re doing a bunch of upgrades to make this place even more amazing than it already is! We will definitely be back soon to spend a weekend in the cabins and more time on the water! If you want a place that has plenty to do, from renting a pontoon, to dock fishing, to a playground for kids, to just hanging out near the lake and relaxing then swing by the Tawakoni Marina and enjoy some lake time!

Beautiful scenery, and awesome cabins! Food trailers on site as well for patio dining. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Amazing place for the family. They had a playground for little ones, beautiful hiking trails and wildlife, public fishing dock, adorable cabins, and so much more!

Loved it had a blast. We were the only people of color there BUT everyone was friendly and welcoming! Ask for Susan she is the best! Here’s some photos from on day visit. We had cabin #3 cute and Nautical theme. I will say cell reception sucks and lots of CobWebs, big spiders. The owner doesn’t let staff kill insects but guest can. ***Main Downfall, needs WiFi in cabins. My T-Mobile wouldn’t get service except at front office connected to their guest WiFi, now my husband had AT&T he had service in the cabin.

Cute little place to take a hike & playground is well kept and clean! Feels safe. Small little dog park too.

A good drive but we had the most magical time. Great for a boat ride or fishing. My grands loved it.

My husband and I had an awesome time. We caught 25 crappies, 2 catfish and 2 perch. It could be cleaner on the slip , Lots of cob webs, lots of spiders and dead fish . But we had fun in spite of
