We tried Tay Ho at the Oakland Airport and walked away with mixed impressions. The pho itself wasn’t bad, but it was very simple, very little meat, light on noodles, and overall not the abundant, flavorful bowl you’d expect for the price. We paid $50.14 for two small pho and two drinks, which would be reasonable if the portions and quality matched what you can get in the Bay Area, a region known for excellent Vietnamese food.
Service felt rushed and disengaged, which added to the sense that this location is running on airport traffic rather than genuine hospitality. When you’re hungry in an airport, you make do, but if this were located anywhere outside the airport, it would struggle at this quality and portion level.
Would not return. Question? Where is the management at the Oakland Airport? 2.7 average rating when I left this review. Honestly Oakland, do better.
