Taylor Gourmet is conveniently located off the Morgan pink line stop and in a great location. They offer plenty of seating including an outdoor patio towards the front near the entrance. The prices were fairly priced; I ordered a sandwich and a side for under $12. Around the West Loop I'd say that's pretty good. I ordered the chick pea side salad and the grilled chicken cutlet sandwich. The side salad was tasty, however the sandwich was just alright. It seems like they overcooked the cutlet, so the chicken came out pretty tough, dry, and also too salty. It wasn't completely inedible, though I did leave a little unsatisfied. It looks like they just opened so maybe they're working out a few things as I expect new restaurants to have some type of learning curve. I'll for sure give this place a few more tries because the spot is cool, people were nice, and my food came out fast!

So this place just opened and it is the bomb!!! Fantastic food and everyone was so helpful. Got the breaded buffalo chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Right by the Morgan L stop, so give it a try. Highly recommended! Lemon cookie worth the calories as well.

From a marketing perspective I had to be told this was a Philly-style hoagies and cheesesteak place, so not great branding. BUT, once you're inside it's all kinds of awesome. Just their second day open but the service was on point. Ben Franklin (basically chicken parm) and the cheesesteak were both excellent. Burger was very good too. Great craft fountain soda selection.
