I stopped for lunch at Taylor's solely because of the interior design, but that isn't the only great thing about this place. I went with the Memphis which is apparently their most popular sandwich. The flavor combinations were fantastic. The price is a little bit more than I would prefer but not a deal breaker.

These guys never disappoint! I actually got 2 sandwiches because I was gonna share with my coworker but they were so good I ended up eating both. Friendly service, efficient and great food.

I was excited to see Taylor Gourmet was open and made it through the pandemic. I chose to go there for a salad over several other places and I’m upset that I did. The $17 salad was pathetically small. The flavor and quality were fine but I could have easily made something 10x better at home for about $1.50. I also remember them having paper-based to go containers which is why I chose them over Chop’t. Sadly I will be hard pressed to return.

I placed an online order of a chicken cheese steak (in hindsight no one should order that in DC, philly isn’t far after all). The chicken was undercooked and I couldn’t get through the first few bites as a result. I tried calling the store but the phone number seemed out of order. A few friends ordered different options and in all fairness they thought it was good. Definitely don’t recommend the chicken!

I was a huge fan of Taylor before they closed down a few years ago. It's awesome they reopened at the location I used to frequent most. Safe to say they are back to being a great spot for a quick lunch! It was relatively crowded but I got in and out in about 5 minutes. Recommend the South Deux!

It just isn't the same. With the closing of the stores a few years back I was sad, and then very excited that new ownership was going to keep the brand alive. I have ordered SEVERAL times over the past 3 month and point blank: they never get it "right". Today was the last "chance" I am offering. I order a locust street and then receive the 9th street. I ask for extra dressing, it is on the receipt and receive the same 1 small size. I order the franklin square salad and then there are no beans or bacon... so it's just lettuce, tomato and cheese It is disappointing that this awesome place jut in't the same anymore.

Food is great every time I go but the guy who works here Sunday afternoons is supremely disinterested and bad at his job. We waited 5 minutes just to put in our order when we were the only people in line. 2 people came in after us and just decided to leave because they didn't feel like waiting for this guy to do his job (at a place like Taylor, that's just over 20 dollars in lost revenue due to something as stupid as not standing near the register). The sandwiches were then hastily put together with no ingredient distribution and then wrapped so poorly, I had to redo the paper just so the sandwich wouldn't spill out on my walk home. The prep cooks were great, the other guy not so much. TL;DR: Good sandwiches, awful service. I'm switching to the T street location.

The food was good but it's a little chaotic in there. The layout of the seating and ordering is not well organized. The final step of the sandwich production calls out your name with the name of the sandwich but not that loudly. Around him there is a mob of people. The sandwiches are fun combinations and names and tasty but nothing amazing.
