Taystee's Burgers

Came in for my son’s birthday, the staff was so nice! After I told them it was his birthday, they said he could take a free drink, which was so nice. When our order came up I mentioned we ordered two orders of fries, and he said, you only paid for one but I’ll get you another one. I went and looked at the receipt and although I asked for two, only one was charged, so that was nice he did that. I got an original burger with fried egg, my son got a build your own with just cheese and we also got mozzarella sticks. The burger was good, for sure, but the mozzarella sticks, man! Probably the best mozza sticks around. Cooked to perfection with awesome cheese pull! The fries were good too with salt and pepper seasoning, huge portion, big enough to share with a few people!

We got the Nacho burger and Cool ranch supreme burger and cajun fries. The taste was FANTASTIC. I could barely put my burger down. The seasoning level, texture and thickness of the fries were also perfect. My only complaint is the price on the menu flyer didn’t match what I was actually charged…? There’s no prices on the screens either so I only noticed when I got my printed receipt.

Delicious Burger, Great Service, but Needs Better Ventilation I ordered the Hawaiian burger and it was absolutely delicious—easily a 5-star item on its own. As for the sides, the jalapeño poppers and fries were flavorful and satisfying. However, the wings were a bit too spicy for my taste, and the mac and cheese balls unfortunately lacked both cheese and flavor. One thing I really appreciated was that everything was freshly made to order. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and well-stocked, with all the table essentials provided: plastic utensils, napkins, ketchup, salt, and pepper. I’m giving 4 stars mainly because some of the side dishes didn’t meet expectations, and the dining area was uncomfortably hot. The space could really benefit from better ventilation—fans, air conditioning, or at least some window shades to block the direct sunlight. Overall, a solid experience with great potential!

Wow wow wow! The food was great, but we would be back for the service. The staff was soo nice! Krystal was so welcoming when we came in, and Al bent over backwards to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. They were super friendly. Such a great experience!!!

Lovely experience! We went to the restaurant in Ann Arbor and it was amazing! I ordered the Southern Style Spicy Crispy Chicken and warning, it’s so spicy! Make sure you’re ready for the heat. The manager, the founders cousin, was so friendly and gave us on the house sodas! Make sure to leave a review, all the employees there deserve it!

Went there with a coworker of mine(the day the campus police were outside) and Got a chicken sandwich and Cajun fries....MAN WAS IT GOOD HOLY CRAP. Nice employee think her name was crystal. Was very helpful and food was GREAT! Good portion sizes too. Just a lil pricey, but I see why now.

Absolutely amazing Burgers! Was really surprised and in awe. Just this lil place next to a gas station gives epic customer service (shout out to Yusuf) and fabulous food! 100% would recommend to all my favorite people. Me and my best friend are going monthly now! Fries are crispy and hold up with great flavor! And burgers come with such unique flavors!! It is almost like someone who was stoned made all of the recipes but their unique and hit just right!

The burgers are ridiculously gas, served quickly. My friends all got different burgers, and all of us finished rather quickly. Staff were super nice and made us all feel welcome. If I'm ever in the A2 again, I'm sprinting to Taystee's Burgers.

Super clean in here. Very friendly. Everything tastes fresh. Portions are generous. I have only one complaint about Taystees. You can't order them medium. Minor complaint as the burgers are still juicy and so loaded with toppings you will not really notice. I got the Cool Ranch supreme burger and yum. Crunchy, cheesy, saucy happiness. I needed like six napkins as I ate it. That is not a critique. I also ordered salt and pepper fries, and it was enough for four people. Hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. My husband tried to help, but we needed a to go box. My husband got the burger with teriyaki and pineapple. He was a huge fan. It's one of his fave combos. He chose jalapeno poppers as his side. They were stuffed full of cream cheese and not a bit greasy. I had to swipe one. We took home more poppers for my parents, who also tried two different burgers. My mom loved the bbq burger, and my dad was very pleased with the mushroom swiss. Overall, I found it to be a tad expensive, but the quality and hefty portions make it worth it. We will return.

For those craving a greasy, classic burger that hits all the right spots, Taystee's is your spot. The patties are juicy and flavorful, perfectly capturing that flame-grilled essence. But the interesting part is their burger creations are all very interesting and jam packed with options. I tried both the Doritos options on the menu, the cool ranch and the nacho cheese ones and they were both fantastic! The unique combination of textures and flavors - the salty crunch of the chips playing off the savory beef - was an excellent combination. If you've ever liked putting potato chips in your turkey sandwiches like I used to, it's kinda similar to that. It can be an overwhelming amount of flavor at once so if you're looking to really taste the patty then it's probably not the best option but if you just like all these comfort foods crammed into one burger it's great. I wouldn't recommend eating it too often though for your health's sake. A note for my Muslim friends: Taystee's uses halal beef, which is a major plus. The only minor caveat is the wait time. My burger took a bit longer to arrive than I initially anticipated. However, the restaurant was pretty busy, so it's completely understandable. The friendly service staff kept things moving smoothly, and the wait was definitely worth it. Overall, Taystee's offers an excellent burger experience. Their unique creations cater to the adventurous eater, while the quality ingredients and classic flavors satisfy the traditional burger lover. Having experienced the Dearborn location before, I can confidently say the Ann Arbor branch maintains the same high standards.

My first visit to this location. My first disappointments when comparing to their other locations. They opened on-time at 11AM, but were not really ready for customers. Let me explain: - The beef patty was fully cooked, but lacked the maillard/searing that I experienced a their other stores. Perhaps the flat top was not fully up to working temp? - Chili cheese fries were not available because the chili was not up to temperature. - The bun was not toasted and actually a bit cool. Perhaps it had been stored in refrigerator overnight? Will I return? Yes. One subpar experience is not going to deter me. I just will not visit at the momnt they open.

I got the southwest chicken burger and it was just okay. It also took a long time for my food to come out, to the point where they gave me a free drink because everyone got their food significantly faster than myself. Ambiance was fine, it was pretty clean. Overall, I'd say go to the Dearborn location if you want better quality.

Stopped in after an Ann Arbor event for a couple of burgers. I had the original and the salt and pepper fries. The burger was smash burger style. It was good. There was a touch (I mean a touch) of heat in something. I liked the burger came with onions. And, I liked the size of the burger. We opted for the basic salt and pepper fries. There were plenty of options, flavor and style. The fries were perfectly cooked (kudos to them). One order of fries could cover three normal people. There is basic seating, which works for the overall style. The service was good. It took a bit for the food to come out, but they nailed the fries. I thought it was on the more expensive side. But, I don't eat this style much. Everything was good. To me it is upscale fast food. Maybe "fast fresh". I gave this 3 stars because I thought everything was good. I did not try the more adventurous burgers or fries, and that could have made a difference in the flavor department.

I really really wanted to find my new favorite burger place, but this just wasn't it. The service was fast and building looked new and clean, unfortunately, we just really didn't like the burgers. They were bland and seemed to just be really greasy and not flavorful. Perhaps we will give them another chance to wow us, maybe we just ordered the wrong thing? Anyway, I was really looked forward to the burger and it didn't astound me.

Having been to the Dearborn location countless times, this location is just as good. The burger patties are juicy and flavorful. My favorites are Mac Attack and BBQ.

I was hungry after the Yelp event and since Ann Arbor has tons of good food, I knew I had to grab food here before running the long drive home. I've been to Taystee's Dearborn (original?) location and remember it being good and I wanted to try this location out to see if it was as good as I remember. It was! Yes, it's located within a gas station but don't let that fool you. The food here's fantastic and worth every penny. I had a hard time deciding what to get, but ended up getting the Taystee's special burger. They make everything fresh here so I did have to wait a bit for the food to come out. The burger was bigger than I remember, but even better then I remember having it the first time. I literally devoured it in just a few bites. If you pay cash it's a little bit cheaper as they charge an extra 50 cents or so for running your card. I just happened to have had enough cash on me when I paid, so that's how I found out. As for drinks and sides, they do NOT have fountain pop here, just cans. I don't know how much the drinks are, but I had my own bottle of water so I used that to wash down the food here. Kind of bummed about no fountain pop. Also, seating's limited so try to go during off peak times to avoid having to eat in the car or take the food elsewhere. Also, I inquired about their onion rings and you get 8 rings for about $7.27. Seems a bit high and I passed since I didn't feel like ordering them at the moment. (I was hungry and that would've added to my wait time.) Overall the food here's absolutely fantastic and will try out their locations again since I can't get enough!

If I could give NO STARS I would! I ordered a Taystee Grilled Chicken sandwich with specific instructions (using their ordering options) to leave out the lettuce, because I am allergic. My sandwich was packed with lettuce. If you are preparing food it is imperative that you follow the preparation directions to a T! Do better Taystee's!

I heard a lot of good thing about Taystee's burger from my friends, so I had to come give it a visit! They have a good size menu and daily specials. I was tempted to get the Wednesday special that resembles a Philly cheesesteak but ultimately I got the #1 original burger. The burger itself was pretty good with a good patty, although it could use a little more sauce. I also got regular fries to pair with it. I wasn't a big fan of it but the curly fries there looks pretty good so I'll definitely try them next time. The only thing is that after 20 minutes of being in the restaurant, I smelled strongly of the place and had to wash all my clothes immediately.

Taystee's Burgers shares a parking lot with Shell gas station but is a separate business. There are four tables that seat 4 people and a little counter space for two people. The chairs are cushy and comfy. More importantly, the burgers are legit. My husband's Mac Attack was great. Super cheesy, so ask for light cheese if you don't like that. It is saltier than the original, likely because the mac and cheese bites are fairly salty. The sauce is spicy, but there isn't a lot on it and it was good. My original burger was excellent, and I like the brioche buns. Both burgers had juice dripping from them and were cooked the right way! You get a LOT of fries in an order, so I recommend sharing between 2 or 3 people. Everyone working here is friendly and professional. We had a great experience, and I hope you do too!

After chilling at the pool and listen to my friend rave about this place for hours, I gave in. He described it aS being comparable to In-n-out. We showed up on a Sat night, small, but clean space. Excellent service and very kind owner. Amazing meat, buns and diverse high quality toppings. I'll be sure to return with my boys who are burger aficionados.

I've only ever gotten takeout but they have really good halal food. I've tried their burgers and their chicken sandwiches. Fire!! So good!! My friends and I love them for halal American food in the Ann Arbor area.

I was a little nervous because of mixed reviews for this location but I'm so glad we stopped in. The burgers were great and hand cut fries and curly fries! Yummy onion rings as well. Customer service was great and their prices are average. Definitely recommend if you want a yummy burger. $8.49 for a 5oz single patty burger with brioche bun

Burgers are excellent. Burger makers are efficient and friendly. Gluten free buns. Way better than the alternatives.

Quick and professional service. Seating inside is always available, but I usually order takeout. I've ordered many different burgers from here over the last months and they're all great. The BBQ burger sometimes can use a little more bbq sauce. The original is a great standard burger with great ingredients. The Hawaiian proves that pineapples shouldn't be on pizza but on a burger. The volcano is definitely a lot and isn't my go to, but it tastes good. The mushroom and Swiss is a big favorite amongst my friends. There are big screens inside so when I do want to dine in, I can watch any live games

I am a non medical transporter, Ann Arbor is a frequent location, many restaurants to choose from, I am from a small town, not many restaurants. This burger joint, seems a lot like the many people who give it a thumbs up, I agree, got the Nacho Yo burger, with everything, which had jalapeño and nachos chips with Cajun fries. I enjoyed fries, burger was better then most other fast food burgers.

Smells rancid inside. The employees were super rude and their open sign is on all night when they're not open. Won't be back for a while

Gahhhdayum!!! I got original burger with the teriyaki sauce added and the ranch seasoned fries. Just delectable. Not a huge fan of burgers but I had a craving and luckily this place was nearby. Huge fries portion and a cute location. The workers were friendly and the temperature was nice inside. It looked so good that I forgot to take a picture before I took a bite.

Best burger in Ann Arbor, hands down. Very fresh ingredients, and the meat quality is apparent. I typically stick with a classic cheeseburger and add an extra patty. I would recommend starting here and then trying out some of the more unique burger options. There are also lots of fry choices. I like getting the curly fries with Cajun seasoning (reminiscent of Arby's).

Fantastic Burger Joint! My wife and I really lucked out finding this place on our first night in Ann Arbor. The food was awesome! I had the volcano burger, my wife had the Tastyee burger, and we split a Midwest fries. Everything was perfect. The burgers were super succulent, and the toppings were very tasty. Really interesting take on loaded french fries as well. We really enjoyed everything. The staff was super nice. And to top it all off they're open late and halal. We will definitely be coming back here!

Well I am disappointed. I used to go to the original spot in Dearborn in my way home from work. I was excited to see one near my house. I used to get the pizza burger and Hawaiian. I always thought they were so yummy. I haven't had it since Covid. I decided to try it today. I ordered the pizza burger expecting it to have fresh basil because there is a spot online where you can remove items off your burger. Made sure the basil stayed. When I got home and started eating my burger it was missing something. I realize no basil. It was a bit salty and the burger was over cooked. To top it off , I ordered the turkey bacon cheese fries. I didn't realize Turkey bacon could be cooked medium rare. I prefer to have my bacon cooked not the way I received it. For a hand full fries I paid $8.99. It would be bad if my bacon had been cooked better. My daughter loves the Curley fries. My husband had Ali's notyo burger which was just alright. I don't think I'll return. To any of them. I had to cook the Turkey again.

Very good burger. Had the Taystee Volcano. Great if you enjoy spice. Staff was really friendly and patient with my group, for it was our first time.

First timer to Taystee's, Ann Arbor Store. I loved my Original and my wife and I both enjoyed the Plain Fries but the mustard on my wife's burger overpowered it so much that she just couldn't eat much of it. Her comments: wonderful Brioche bun, good relish, good grilled onions, good meat but the "hot" mustard ruined it. I took a bite of her burger and totally agree with her. But the Taystee's Original at $8.99 sure beats Knight's Restaurant's $13 burger hands down. So we'll be back to Taystee's but will avoid the mustard next time. Thanks.

Fantastic burger. Similar to Five Guys and Shake Shack but bigger, better bun, and much thicker patties. Loaded with cheese. Both the brioche and sesame bun are great, as is the Taystees sauce, and I love the option to add Doritos to the burger. On top of all this, the manager / owner is very kind, and goes around making sure everyone is enjoying their food. Ten out of ten experience.

Amazing burger and fries! Stopped here while traveling and absolutely would go out of our way to go again. The fries were the best I've ever had...anywhere. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend!

Horrible. This is not like the original Taystees in Dearborn. First the burgers taste like processed meat. In Dearborn, fresh meat is grinded on a daily basis. The burger was dry. Secondly, the fries were not made to order. They tasted like they had been sitting around and were soggy. The nastiest fries I have had. Is this location owned by the original owners or is this a franchise? I will drive to Dearborn for the original. I have had better burgers at Wendy's.

The volcano burger was fantastic! And the service was great. The wings at $13 for 6 are pretty steep. Even though the size of the wings are decent I would come here again but definitely won't order wings.

I placed a to-go order for my husband and got him the pizza burger. The top bun to his burger had green mold on it. Very disappointing because we really like the food, but that's absolutely disgusting.

This burger was very good. I highly recommend It. It was so juicy and had such a great taste on your tongue. When I ate this burger I almost cried. Top notch burger. Didn't go to the building ordered it on door dash. The Cajun fries were also good but I wish they were a little more crispier. I got the cool ranch supreme burger!

Had never been before, and when I walked in, the staff was helpful in helping me decide on what burger to get. I ended up getting the Hawaiian Burger and it was soooo good. They even threw in a free water because it was my first time. I definitely will be coming back.

Had the pretzel bun with eggs and two patties. Best burger in Ann Arbor! Employees are helpful, food is made quickly, and food is amazing. Highly recommended!!!

New burger joint in Ann Arbor. Very tasty burgers. Hand cut fries are amazing. Owner was very friendly. Not a lot of seating space but great meals and good portions.

Amazing food, that goes without saying. By far one of the best burgers you'll have in MI ! Beyond that, the owner is always present, keeps an eye on the staff and customers. Serves customers himself and takes wonderful care of everyone. That is obvious. Constantly checks to make sure everything is perfect. The staff in general though are very friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to make sure everything is great. This is more of a fast food burger spot, but the level of service is a million times better than that of most sit down restaurants. Idk if I'd go anywhere else for a great burger in Ann Arbor.

I'm not from Michigan but here on business and a Door Dash driver I saw delivering food to my hotel suggested I try Taystee's if I wanted to taste the best burger in town. Based on his enthusiasm and the fact he wasn't even delivering Taystee's at that moment but another burger brand (Five Guys) I thought I'd give it a try. OMG.. I'm glad I did! There were so many amazing options it was hard to settle on just one. I eventually ordered the #8 Knockwurst with Midwest Style Fries and each bite tasted like heaven. The staff was very professional and the atmosphere was cool. I definitely will be back a few more times before I leave Michigan..Thanks Door Dash Guy!

We did carry out, 2 fantastic bbq burgers and a side of salt & pepper fries. My order was ready early, all 3 people working greeted me when I walked in and thanked me when I left. We had a very positive experience and will order again.

Had the Original Burger and Cajun fries. Was off the chain good. Don't let the gas station throw you off. I'll be back
