Taza Takeaway Kebab House

OMG so good I had to go back two nights in a row. I got the chicken shawarma and it satisfied all my cravings. The way their meats are infused with citrus marinating , you can really taste it. It was spicier than I thought it would be but in a good way. Simple, cheap, and DELICIOUS . First timer alone in London and will come back here again and again. Not to mention free salad bar!

Honest review: Food is brilliant. Shawarma is great. Always has been for the last 15 years I've eaten here. The workers are not customer service type workers, they take your order, cut the meat fresh, give it to you with no rapport, but that is the beauty of Taza. You're not here to make friends or have a candle lit dinner, it's strictly grab your tasty shawarma wrap and go! Flavours hit the spot every time. I'm seeing so many reviews talking about rude staff & cash only. The staff aren't rude, they're just straight talking men who speak as they are. Just accept it that not everyone must have customer service skills. They're not faking a "good" service, they don't request tips or reviews from you, it is fast service food. The cash only, that's up to them how they take the money, no need to question their methods of payment. The price is good for what you get in a mainstream London area. All in all, me and gf enjoyed the food today. It was her first time, and she didn't have any bad words and enjoyed it thoroughly.

⭐ 1/5 – Disappointing Shawarma and Poor Customer Experience I was really disappointed with my visit. The lamb shawarma had very little actual lamb, and most of what I did get were fatty pieces instead of lean meat. It felt like they added extra salad just to make the portion look fuller, which isn’t great considering the price they charge. I also asked for a small, yet I was charged for a mix, which didn’t match what I ordered. On top of that, the shawarma itself was bland and tasteless, definitely not worth the money. What really surprised me is that they only accept cash, even though the shop is in Zone 1, a prime location where you’d expect card payments to be standard. It doesn’t create a good customer experience at all and felt very inconvenient. Overall, I won’t be spending my money here again.

I came to Taza Kebab House with my family as it was the only shawarma place nearby, but the staff have no human decency to talk normally and are highly unprofessional, crude, and completely lacking in customer-service mannerism. When I arrived, I saw that the mixed kebab was £7.00 per person. I ordered five, and only after ordering did one of the guys tell me they only accept cash and not cards. I should have known then and seen that as a red flag. When we finished eating, I went to pay, and the person at the till told me I owed £40 instead of £35. I told him the mixed shawarma is clearly £7.00 as stated outside. He then made an excuse, saying that he had made the orders “large.” I told him he never asked me and should have confirmed this. Then another rude, animalistic, gimmicky, scam-like guy who works there jumped in, claiming he “heard me” asking for extra. I disputed this and told him I never uttered those words. They were quite hostile, and it genuinely looked like they were going to start a fight with me if I didn’t pay the full amount. Luckily for them, I was with my family and didn’t want to cause any more drama or distress, so I paid the £40.00 and left. I would not recommend this place.

The BEST Shawarma in London! I was in London for a week and I went there 4 times out of 7—it’s honestly that good. The food is incredible and the service is amazing; the staff is super friendly and I had a great chat with the chef working the grill. 10/10 experience. I highly recommend it if you want a real, tasty shawarma or if you’ve never had one before, THAT’S the place to go!!

As a takeaway option, Taza has one of the best lamb shawarmas that I’ve had! The hummus and sauces together combine very well with the dish and makes it a great combo. I appreciate it only takes cash but it’s a good shout.

One of the best Shawarma you'll have! Cash only! Delicious, saucy, lots and lots of Salad. We had a long journey from Bethnal Green to Kensington during the tube strikes and needed a lunch on the way back we parked and got this!! My mate said it was perfect! Totally worth it man. Its fresh man!
