Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe - Old Metairie

Found it very beauitful inside . It was like being on an Island, the monkeys were white and hanging from the plants in the ceiling. . Had baked redfish with vegetable and an appetizers corn tortillas was different a very good . The drinks were different a very good, hade fresh coconut in them. The pork steak was very large an served with vegetable. Great.

This is a very clean and nicely decorated restaurant! It’s in a strip mall so there’s plenty of parking as well. I ordered the grilled chicken gyro and the chicken had an odd texture. The flavors on the wrap were pretty good however. The other guest had the chargrilled lamb feast. The meat portion was really small but it tasted okay. Due to the portion sizes, I think Taziki’s would be a good lunch option. It’s also worth noting that the server was extremely nice and helpful.

Omg!! I order from here on Uber Eats all the time and it's amazing!! The lemon chicken soup was the first thing I ever tried and it's just amazing! I usually order the soup and a Mediterranean salad. Their chicken breast is amazing as well! I love the hummus! The cucumber salad! It's all amazing! Lots of pita bread, portion size is good! ❤️❤️❤️

I love this place! This place single handedly turned me into a salmon lover. The blackened salmon is so good! The salmon, rice and Greek salad has been my hyperfixation meal for the past few months. The whipped feta dip is also so good. The spicy hummus is a bit too oily for my liking though but next time I’ll try it without the chili oil.

Healthy, tasty food. Staff is friendly and courteous. This place is nowhere near me but it's always a treat when I make the trip

Great lil find. Had the Chicken Gyro and tomato cucumber salad was super tasty and the Baklava cheesecake was a no brainer, Delicious and light!

We had Taziki's delivered to our office today for lunch and it was fantastic. We had the chicken, Greek salad, rice, hummus and potatoes (my personal fave). It arrived right on time and was hot and delicious.

First thing first... I love Mediterranean food, so this review is easy to write. PLUS the ambiance & staff were great, great, great. Greeted upon entry by Owen, the cashier, I knew we were off to a great start. Then Joe, co-owner/manager, followed up with a pleasant greeting as well; we had lite convo about the store, it's history & the other locations. I must admit, not my first time in the area, but indeed my first time at this restaurant. So far so good... It can only go up from here. Food: Spicy hummus & tea for me; gyro & a glass of wine for my dining companion. No it wasn't Lebanese Tea, but it was tea nonetheless; minus the pine nuts. And there were no complaints from the peanut gallery, everything was good. I also had a Greek salad with 3 falefal patties, but that's in another review. But just know, as I said, everything was good. The pita bread for the hummus was lightly toasted, as expected, the spicy hummus had me scraping the sides of the bowl, talk about finger licking good... My dining companion remarked about the lamb being a little gamey, but she spoke to the authenticity of the meat as result of the taste. Service: The service was exemplary. As I stated, greeted upon entry, not once but twice. Owen even bought out the food once it was prepared & Joe collected the plates after we were done. This is service you expect from a dine-in restaurant. Kudos to you Owen & Joe for your service. Pricing: Was fair and in line with the industry standard. Parking Is a bit of a chore because it is a shared parking lot. But other than that, no issues, no complaints. Ambiance & Outdoor Seating: Love, love, love the outdoor table settings. It had such a So.Cali feel, until, you can get lost in the time while and after eating. The indoor portion was great as well, table and booth seating for your dining pleasure. There's a happy hour special that caught my attention & I made a mental note of it... Hello. There's a catering menu & one for a family feast of sorts... I'll have to remember that for an office/work party. The regular menu is vast enough by itself for all tastes. I plan to visit again. That hummus & Greek salad with the falafel patties (of another review) were phenomenal.

I have been wanting to try this lunch spot for a while. I used to love Zoe's which they replaced and am not a fan of cava so I was happy to hear another Mediterranean place was taking over. The place is very cute and walk up service. The staff were very friendly. They wrap up hot items in foil for to go orders which is very nice. I got a side of veggies with the chicken roll ups and very good. I just didn't realize they were giving me the chips too or I would have picked another side. I can't wait to try the tomato basil soup next.

Nice neat location. The meat portions were somewhat smaller than the norm, but tasted good. Chips were a surprise side with your chosen protein but it worked. Sides of pasta and rice were okay. Service was good, you order at the counter. Inside was nice, as well as patio seating. Nice little lunch spot.

I love the ambience here. The decor definitely gives Mediterranean vibes. I was greeted as soon as I walked and the woman that took my order and brought the food to my table was really friendly. I ordered the Greek chicken salad and my guest ordered the grilled lamb gyro wrap. Both were great. The food was really fresh... like really fresh!! I want to go back to try more things, especially the dessert.

With this being a chain restaurant I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed the food. I was in between choosing the chicken or the falafel because I had very low expectations for the falafel, but the cashier assured me that the falafel was the way to go and she was definitely correct! It was perfectly seasoned and paired perfectly with the salad and dressing. Next time I do think I'd get a soft pita chip though.

The staff were outstanding during my visit today. Mediterranean food is not my go to when searching for a place to eat but this restaurant was really good. The young cashier gentleman recommended the Greek salad so that's what I ordered with grilled chicken. It was fresh and delicious and a good size portion. I also ordered the Greek Lemon Chicken Soup. Very lemony which I like but it would taste better if the soup came out warmer or was it supposed to be eaten lukewarm. The Baklava was very sweet and delicious. If I'm on that side of Metairie, I would totally come back.

Thanks to yelp elite introduced this business. Wow awesome service. Manager or owner was super nice so attentive and helpful. Definitely going back just because of him. Place was spotless got there early so it was empty. Food Mediterranean Chicken salad was awesome fresh HUGE portion well worth it!

I very much enjoyed my lunch at tazikis. I got a gyro and some chips and a drink. It was a little pricey for a quick lunch but it was super yummy and fresh and different from other options on Metairie Rd. The staff was very kind and accommodating. I will be back next time over this way.

Great healthy fast food option with very friendly staff, but they are no comparison to my favorite local Mediterranean joint. The chicken on my wife's salad was dry and underseasoned. We both preferred the small tomato and cucumber salad that came with my sandwich. My gyro was meh. The lamb on it was chopped up lamb burger and not the slices I expected. I was surprised by the tasty pickled onions! They would have been great on the Mrs. salad instead of the huge pile of raw red onions. We will return tho because we didn't get falafel, hummus, or baklava for me to be judge-y about. AGAIN, better than Mac-King-Fila.

First time here. Very good! I had the veggie Pita and cucumber tomato salad with my meal. Service was quick and the place is clean and comfortable. I would definitely return!

My husband and I stumbled upon this place and we really enjoyed it. I had a chicken gyro with potatoes and he a lamb gyro with fruit, both were so delicious! I recommend giving this place a try.

It is worth a visit if you want reasonably priced delicious Mediterranean food. I had their food at work via catering and it was fresh, tasty, and I needed to try the restaurant. The sandwich had a sweet tangy sauce covering grilled chicken strips, lettuce and tomato. Red potatoes were creamy with a hint of lemon. Service was courteous and even stopped by the table to check on me (order at the counter & food is brought via number). There are specials so there are many incentives to return.

The food was delicious, as usual. Sofia was very nice, and easy to deal with. I always enjoy visiting the Old Metairie restaurant.

My $17 Greek salad had 2 kalamata olives, 6 cubes of feta, and 12 pounds of iceberg lettuce

Was so excited to eat and forgot about taking photos. The whipped feta with pita chips was yummy. Definitely recommend added honey. My 9yr old side kick got the Child's feast. She wasn't a fan of the basmati rice but I loved it. I got the lamb gyro with tomatoes and cucumber... Delicious! Staff is very friendly.

Lamb burger is amazing and came with free side of choice and chips. Fast service and the people here are friendly. Highly recommend this place. Flavors are great.

Hummus was overly salty to eat. Grilled lamb on the Greek salad didn't taste like lamb. Tasted like beef, and was tough and chewy. Very disappointed. However, if you want a good chocolate chip cookie - those were good.

We had a fantastic first experience at Tazikis. Our second experience was awful. The hummus was gritty and dry. My order was incorrect twice. I ordered the chicken feast with potatoes and a Caesar salad but I substituted balsamic dressing. I told the cashier I have a fish allergy and sometimes Caesar dressing has anchovies in it. That's why I want the balsamic. My first plate was a Greek salad with chicken and no potatoes. My second plate had a Caesar salad with the Caesar dressing on it. After I told two people I could not have Caesar because of a possible food allergy. I didn't bother sending it back again. By the time my meal arrived, my husband was already finished eating. I picked at the chicken and potatoes and skipped the salad altogether.My chicken was very dry and appeared to be the reheated chicken from my first incorrect plate. I'm so disappointed. It was such a different experience from our first visit which was fantastic. We live in the neighborhood and were looking forward to having a fast casual restaurant close to home. We likely won't be back.
