I first ordered from this place through DoorDash. I wanted a vegetarian banh mi, and wrote to instructions on the order. The restaurant called me to check on my order and what I got was really good! so my kids and I went over in person because we were in the neighborhood today. They weren’t any other customers in the place. Our server was fast, pleasant, and very generous with the portions. Our two sandwiches were packed with chicken and veggies. we ordered the lemongrass chicken and the grilled chicken sandwiches. The kids loved both banh mis, but I would’ve preferred a little more spread/spice to the sandwiches. I’m sure we’ll be back and I will know to customize the sandwiches next time. There were also some interesting drinks posted - so def checking that out next time!

This was my first visit and I had the grilled pork Banh Mi and it was phenomenal! Everything about it delivered, rich succulent pork, sharp crisp tart vegetables, crunchy light bread, and the staff were super welcoming! Can’t wait to come back and try the other sandwiches.

Google
This little sandwich shop was so good that I forgot to take a picture for the review. Everything is cooked and served fresh - I got the meatball sandwich and it was amazing. Can’t forget the chips and drink to make it a combo. Will be back to try the noodles, I’m told they’re more filling. Little pricey but not too much to break the bank.

Had my first TBread experience yesterday and my oh my I'm craving TBread again 🤤. The bread in itself is an experience all together. I love how it's crispy fresh on the outside and delightful on the inside 😋. I love and enjoyed the grilled pork Bahn mi so much, it wasn't over flavored, the meat was tender and just right with a combination of light spice from the fresh jalapeño mixed in with cilantro and the pickled veggies, mouth is watering again 🤭. Oh before I forget, I also tried out their Vietnamese coffee and WOW, wished I had 3 more. Glad to have discovered this place through doordash. 👍🏽

Google
Really enjoyed talking to the sandwich guy (Seabright Cafe cinnamon buns!), and he made a MEAN pork banh mi!!! Great bread, tender pork, loaded, great flavor. Thanks for a delish lunch!!

Google
The BEST banh mi sandwich I have ever had in the TBread special It was a party in my mouth. The bread was fresh and crusty and all the ingredients in the sandwich were perfectly complemented. I will be thinking about this one for a long time!

Google
I came here on a Saturday lunch and picked up my banh mi super quickly! Great experience. Good: - The Tbread special is super tasty - huge portion sizes and pretty cheap for the amount of food you get - Super friendly staff Bad: - I won't say it's the best banh mi I've ever had, but it is in the top for how good it was. Pretty casual and small place. Overall I really enjoyed coming here and how quick the pickup was and the quality of the food.

Google
Delicious sandwiches 🥪. I loved pork rolls and spicy grilled bread so so much, they did such a good job on those sandwiches. The Taste is amazing. Overall, Tbread is my favorite in my area ☺️☺️☺️. They open at 9:00 AM so early for those who works in the morning shift. It’s so convenient 🤩🤩🤩

Yelp
It's been awhile since I've been to this location, but I used to think this place made a really premium banh mi. The top of the bread has a glossiness and fragrant scent to it, and the chew was quite tender. I feel like the ingredients used were pretty elevated. Feeling hungrier, add egg. Pork shrek, or pork floss, is of good quality as well. At that time, packaging was premium as well. I feel like it has changed a bit in the last couple of years, but I think I need to go reassess how it is now! I don't need the crazy wrapper or fancy bag to put it in. I just need the food to taste great.

Yelp
Great bread, but I wasn't a fan of their preserved ham. It tasted overly sweet and gluey.

Yelp
I love this place! TBread is one of the first businesses we checked out when we moved to Mountain View and we've been going back ever since. The vermicelli bowls and banh mis are so good, good prices, and big portions. I also always order a vietnamese iced coffee. The people working are always so sweet too. They have one or two tables inside but we usually order and take it home Tuesdays from 4-7pm, they run a buy 2 get 1 free banh mi special so it's the perfect place to bring your friends!

Yelp
I love bahn mi sammiches, and this has been one of the better ones I've had in a while. My review/comments are in relation to other Bahn Mi spots: 1) quality of ingredients: I could tell that the toasted baugette was fresh. Meat was flavorful and not stringy. Veggies were crisp. 2) value: this may be their biggest differentiator. Hard to tell from my photos, but this was essentially a 10-12" baugette, and it was STUFFED with meat. Most bahn mi places really skimp on the meat......not the case here. It's still weird to pay $13 for a bahn mi, but at least I feel like I got my monies worth. 3) cleanliness: nothing to report.......this is a good thing if you are eating a lot of bahn mi (Ive literally seen poo-poo on the floor at a bahn mi chain.....check out my other yelp reviews) I'll definitely be looking to go to this place when I am in the area.

Yelp
Here's another chain you need to try if you love vegetarian sandwich. Their sandwich includes tasty well seasoned mushroom and comes with avocado and jalapeño if you like some kick to your sandwich. Their mint mojito tea is good too although it can be very sweet eventhough I asked for 50% sweetness.

Yelp
My friends and I recently ordered TBread for delivery and I was blown away by how delicious the sandwiches were. I'm typically pretty picky about my Banh Mi. I feel like the bread has to be well made -- crispy and chewy and the fillings have to be well-balanced with the pickled veggies and meat. I opted for the Chicken Teriyaki Banh Mi and this was a pretty phenomenal sandwich. The chicken was seasoned to perfection and they did not skimp out on the veggies. It was also a fairly large sandwich for the price. Even if we got it for delivery, it was still very fresh, which was definitely a plus.

Yelp
The sandwiches are good. And the sandwich's are BIG. One of the few place where a single banh mi is enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Worst Vietnamese iced coffee ever. It's more of an iced latte. It's about 1/4 as strong as a version you get at any Pho place. I recommend going down the street to Pho Nam, or downtown to Pho to Chau.

Yelp
***3.5 stars*** Not the best banh mi I've had, but gets the craving satisfied. I waited for about 10 mins on a Thursday lunch. I ordered the TBread special. My friends both got the grilled pork banh mi and loved it, so I'll have to try that next time.
google avatar

Yelp
I saw all the reviews and felt I had to try. Now I am not a Vietnamese sandwich expert but I know what I like. Crunchy exterior bread. Soft interior bread. Flavorful chicken. Veggies that you can taste and a sauce with a nice tangy. Well this was not it. Lots of meaty and carrots, the bread did not have the crunch I was expected and the tangy and flavor from sauces was completely missing. Now i ordered on grub hub and it was not ready on time and hence i feel something might have been wrong. I will try other places.

Yelp
CHEF'S KISS So savory, flavorful, juicy, and packed with meat and veggies. You can taste the freshness in everything. I work at NASA so I always crave these for lunch and luckily it's in the area. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee is sooooo good, it's rich and strong. I'm so glad I found this spot. Highly recommend! Keep up the great work TBread!

Yelp
Spring rolls:5/5 pretty authentic viet spring rolls Banhmi: 5/5 the crispnest of bread work surprisingly well with all the ingredients, the top layer of veg tastes refreshing and the sourness just right . The bottom layer of meat it's full of flavor. -1 because I still think it is kinda pricy for a Banhmi

Yelp
Yummy sandwiches & crunchy bread! My fav is the grilled pork. Good size/portions. The Vietnamese coffee is good as well, very strong coffee & not overly sweet. Usually 1 worker and he's pretty quick with a few mins wait.

Yelp
Food is fantastic! I love to tbread special and the grilled pork sandwich Service is fantastic! They make it fast with a good amount of meat and veggies It is packed with flavor! I go here every-time during lunch Ambiance is cute but not enough seating. Definitely go there for takeout though

Deena D.

Yelp
This was my first experience eating here. I have to say it was the worst Vietnamese sandwich I have ever had. The pork had huge pieces of fat and the bread was really sweet, more like a dessert bread instead of a sandwich bread. Not a good experience unfortunately.

Yelp
Banh mis are ok and expensive. Would not come back. I would drive the 20 minutes to south east for duc huong instead

Yelp
Located in a small plaza, the sandwich spot did not have many parking spots around it. Craving banh mi, I was happy to find this nearby. I visited during lunch hours but was surprised to find it empty. I ordered two sandwiches and got them within ~10 minutes. I was hoping to have more pate in my combination sandwich, but was sad to find most of my sandwich stuffed with pickled veggies. This place uses a lot more different ingredients than what I'm used to seeing in banh mi, which can be a good thing -- but not exactly what I was hoping for.

Yelp
As a relatively fast food takeout place, TBread was excellent! I bought one chicken and one grilled pork sandwich and shrimp/pork spring rolls. My wife and enjoyed every bite!

Yelp
A hard no for me! We went because the baguette looked delicious and that was probably the only thing that was good. I got the #1 and my husband the pork sandwich. Everything was skimpy. The pickled daikon and carrots could've used a little more acidity. Not worth $30. If I could return it back I would. Banh mi disgrace.

Yelp
Bottom line: solid meats, great pickled veges, FLAMEY BREAD. Not enough pate. Vibez: shop is running a solid covid protocol. Seems like one party goes in to order at a time. You get a buzzer and wait outside for your food. It's quiet and clean. Sando: enjoyed the T bread special. What hit me first was how fresh everything seemed. Fillings were noticeably cool, which was a sensation I enjoyed. Meats were plentiful, as were the pickled veges which had a great supporting flavor to the sando as a whole. Let's chat on the bread - it was straight fire. Light crunch on the outside, chewy inside. I can't be positive, but it seemed to have a light sugar sweetness on the outside as well. Best part - wasn't overly crumbly. The one thing keeping me from a full on five star review was the Mayo and pate quantity wasn't all the plentiful. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I didn't really taste either at all. So I investigated, poked around in the fillings a pit. I can confirm I did see a light layer of both, and yet, it seemed to be a mirage because I couldn't taste. Haven't said all that about the Mayo and pate, I'd for sure go back!!! Would recommend a try!

Yelp
These sandwiches are amazing! The bread was crispy and tasty - the meat and pickled veggies were fresh too. Literally got another one for the road (and since the sandwiches were so good), also opted to try their spring rolls! The main guy behind the counter was very profesh and also nice

Melissa L.

Yelp
I have purchased sandwiches twice from them. The first time was absolutely amazing-- fresh bread, incredibly tasty fillings, good prices. The second visit was not quite as good because the sandwich fillings weren't nearly as tasty. I hope that was just a bad day!

Yelp
The banh mi at TBread is massive! One banh mi could easily be stretched to two meals. Each one was stuffed with tons of meat and veggies. My favorites are the TBread special and the Grilled Pork, but the TBread special is the only one that comes with pate. When we visited, they even had a deal going for a free banh mi if you met a certain minimum spend! We couldn't resist picking up a couple of Vietnamese coffees to go with and were definitely wired after downing those. I loved being able to support a local mom & pop while satisfying my banh mi cravings. There's not much room inside or outside to eat, but it's the perfect place to order something on-the-go if you're in the area!

Yelp
Food... bread got smaller but price increased. I like the old bread better. Love the crunch when you bite on the bread, also taste better. Dont mind the price increase if the size of the bread stayed the same. Service.. some days are faster than others. When its busy And only one person is there , wait can be 15-20 mins long Ambience .. its ok. Should have more chairs outside for customers who waited too long the order And just want to eat there instead since they have to Go back to work already once they Drive back to work.

Yelp
Very small but meant for a pickup and go situation. Easy menu to read, basic selection. It's a small business and I do support that the service is great. The lady is nice and the ambiance is quiet.

Yelp
Next door to Mochi Waffle Corner, I decided to try their banh mi seeing how they have great reviews. Their menu is a fusion of the traditional banh mi sandwich. I ordered the omelete to try out what a breakfast sandwich would be like with pate. It actually was good and I couldn't finish the lengthy sandwich. The bread isn't too crunchy and not as flaky. It was leftover lunch the next day. I heated it up in the microwave as there is egg in it. The bread softened up. It's pricey for a sandwich but when I got it, it's like 2 sandwiches in one. It's good to share with another person unless you're very hungry. I had no room to try their drinks. I'll save it another day when I'm in that neck of the neighborhood.

Yelp
3.5 stars Take out restaurant specializing in Banh Mi. Easy parking. They offer a selection of different types of sandwiches and a few other items on menu. Restaurant is good about social distancing as they give you a beeper so that you know when food is ready. Ordered the Grilled Pork Banh Mi ($7.50) and the Spicy Vietnamese Grilled Bread ($5.00). The bread was fresh and delicious. I knocked off 1/2 star as the grilled pork needed a bit more flavor. This can be easily fixed, so hope they do so. The Vietnamese Bread was yummy! I'm not sure what they put on top, but it was unique and very flavorful. Also if you order 4 sandwiches, you get one free.

Yelp
This place is relatively new and opened a little earlier at the start of the pandemic. You can order online which makes pick-up pretty convenient. The price of a bahn mi here can't be beat. Definitely one of the cheapest ones I've seen. The size of them are pretty decent too. You won't be hungry after one of these. There's a parking lot in the little plaza so you won't have an issue finding a spot. When you go inside, there's a display case that was empty the few times I was there, but supposedly they order from a patisserie to sell baked goods. Seems like a random offering given the cuisine but who am I to judge. We've ordered most things on the menu, and the quality is pretty on point. I do have to ay though, the quality seems to have gone down a little bit since they first opened, so that's a bit of a bummer. Still good though, just not as good as before. The veggies are fresh and crisp and you can request extras free of charge. They also offer spring rolls. The wrap is a little tough/stale though so you kind of have to tug at it to get a bite out. The spam one is a little odd and for me it just didn't work. I'm an avid lover of spam musubis as well as spring rolls so I thought this would be great but it will not be a repeat order for me. Overall the place is decent for a cheap eat. Worth a try.

Yelp
T Bread is next to Mochi waffle and milk tea in a small strip mall. Parking is adequate too. The sandwiches are superior to Lee's Sandwiches because their vegetarian options are great. Lee's doesn't make spring rolls anymore whereas T bread makes them fresh to order. The veggie option is the mushroom and avocado which to me is a good alternative to tofu. Baguettes are to die for. Didn't try the croissants but will do next time.

Yelp
It's more of a 4-4.5 but I'll give them a 5 due to covid and their amazing/friendly service! I ordered online for pickup. I arrived pretty early and luckily for me, my order was almost ready! Food: - Small Lunch Bag (1 sandwich and 2 spring rolls) : - TBread Special - It was delicious as I love banh mis with eggs! The dried shredded pork was interesting (never had it in a banh mi before, but still good). The pickled vegetables had a nice pickling and wasn't too sour/sweet. - Shrimp and Pork Spring rolls (mini) - Standard/good/what you would expect. - Meatballs - It tasted exactly like how it is described, so if you like meatballs in tomato sauce in your banh mi, then go for it! Personally I did not like it as much because I am not a big fan of tomato sauce, but my bf enjoyed it. - Spicy Vietnamese Grilled Bread - Would recommend!!!!! I love how all of the flavors complimented each other and it had the perfect amount of spice for me. Overall: Would go again! The price is good for the size of the sandwiches and you can customize/add extra toppings (free)! The Spicy Vietnamese Grilled Bread is amazing! Would go back just for that tbh. Their service was amazing as everything was packed nicely and the workers were super welcoming!

Yelp
I was picking up lunch to visit my friend in the area. After much deliberation on what to eat, we decided on trying out TBread. And I'm so glad we did! First of all, these banh mi are SO filling, one is good for two meals. Each banh mi is only $7.50! It's such a bargain! Plus, the sandwiches tasted AMAZING! There's something about the pickled daikon and carrot that nicely complements whatever meat you have in your sandwich. Super fresh and satisfying! It takes me 30 minutes to drive there from where I live so I called ahead to order before I started driving. The workers were kind enough to take my order in advance and told me they would prepare it closer to my arrival time for ultimate freshness. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi for myself and my friend got the spicy lemongrass chicken. We both didn't want jalapenos in our banh mi but I guess there was something lost in communication because my friend still had a jalapeno in her sandwich. I was a little annoyed but she didn't seem to mind, so they're still getting 5 stars from me thanks to her chill reaction. Also, their sandwich wrappers look super cool and on brand! The next time I'm in the area, I hope I'll be able to stop by TBread to pick up some banh mi! Unbeatable price and quality! Highly recommend Tbread for a fantastic meal on a budget. :D

Yelp
amazing Vietnamese iced coffee!!! so fresh and yummy. And the people there are so sweet!

Yelp
Delicious food, got the grilled pork sandwich, not cheap on the meat or anything and it's a big sandwich too. You won't be leaving hungry. Notices are around that they are understaffed and some food may take longer, but we didn't even wait very long. For the short time we did wait, it was worth, good flavor! Boyfriend got the lemon grass chicken, added mushrooms and it was the move. If you like a good Banh Mi and want a filling good sandwich, it's worth a stop!

Yelp
Buy 4 Get 1 Free?! Yes please! Perfect for families and households or even to bring for parties (after COVID19 is over...). The price of each banh mi ends up being $6.54! WOW! Sandwiches are cut in half, wrapped, and then wrapped in a bag with all the proper labels and checkboxes so you know exactly what sandwich is what! No more awkward peeking! Delicious, fresh, and big! Easily two meals if you have a smaller appetite!

Liz S.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazing and friendly service, and very clean restaurant. I popped my head in to browse their menu, and immediately ordered their Chicken & avocado bagn mi. Their server Matt is so friendly! After quickly making my sandwich, he noted I was eating inside and closed the door so I wouldn't get chilly. He also offered extra toppings and utensils. He greeted everyone who came in through the door so pleasantly. I was sold after the first bite of my bahn mi, which I scarfed down! So delicious!! I will most definitely be coming back here regularly! I am telling all my friends about this place!
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
Never thought an egg would make everything better. I'm so glad that this place was featured in one of last year's Yelp Elite event, I wouldn't have drove 40 mins just for a banh mi, I'd be going to somewhere a bit more closer, and not getting to try a combo sando with egg! I am usually very skeptical about these cutesy banh mi stores. In my mind, it's just increased pricing for a grammable spot, and the price will double up for the packaging. Boy, was I wrong. While not overpriced banh mi regularly cost under $5, I was first unsure about this $7.50. 3 bucks more isn't bad, location is in Mountain View, maybe. Nope! The sandwich was long. I get the whole baguette and it wasn't crunchy and dry, it wasn't skinny mini like Lee's. And it tastes absolutely fantastic! The sandwich had decent amount of fillings, got a good portion of the pickled veggies and good amount of protein. They serve these in individual banh mi bags, with labels for what is included and which menu item. Ordering for a group is quite easy and problem less. Now I just need random reasons to come by for sandwiches.
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
As I am writing this review, I am craving their sandwich so much! The baguette is absolutely perfect and it goes so well with the Vietnamese style sandwich. I got their signature and I love all the flavors and the kick from the spiciness with a perfectly soft inside yet get crunchy outer bread. I would say this place is definitely on the top tier end for Vietnamese sandwiches. They offer fresh pastries and their interior decor is very Parisian. Their spring rolls were a tad mediocre and the sauce wasn't anything special. I think I prefer my spring roll sauces with peanuts. I would definitely come back for their sandwiches with the fresh baguette!!

Yelp
Ordering Process/Wait Time: Put in my order online through their website which was super easy to navigate with the ability to customize your banh mi (+/- contents). The estimated wait time for 5 banh mis and a spicy grilled bread was 20 minutes. We picked it up a little after 20 minutes and it was ready for us :) Promotions: Since they just opened about a month ago, they have a few promotion. They have buy 4 get 1 free banh mi ($30) and 20% off your order if you show them a receipt from TZone next door. Packaging: Each banh mi is wrapped in the typical parchment paper but Tbread takes it one step further and puts it into a paper bag that shows which specific item you ordered (i.e. Tbread special, chicken teriyaki, etc.) and any extras. The banh mis are then put into their cute Tbread paper bag which I can't help but keep lol Food: Overall, this place has great Vietnamese food for a great price, but it's not authentic and taste more on the fusion side. Portion size is generous on all fronts TBread Special Banh Mi ($7.50): This was also very good (my fiancé's favorite) but different from other places' banh mi dac biet. It was lacking the Vietnamese mayo but had an egg in it. The pate was good but also different. Grilled Pork Banh Mi ($7.50): The grilled pork was flavorful and not dry, just not authentic. Spicy Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi ($7.50): Most places that make chicken banh mi tend to overcook the chicken so it's really dry. The chicken here was tender, juicy, & quality meat. The lemongrass flavor was very subtle but the spiciness was not there at all. Spicy Vietnamese Grilled Bread ($5): This was good but lacking the Vietnamese mayo and a bit of flavor/umami. The pork floss tasted legit though. I still prefer the one at Dzui's Bakery which has more toppings & flavor.

Yelp
The only disappointing part of eating from here was that my stomach and mouth weren't big enough. We got 2 sandwiches, summer rolls, the special bread, and a coffee. The flavors were so good and you could tell that the ingredients were fresh. The amount of food was a lot! We had leftovers for a snack and an extra meal! The staff were also really friendly and sweet :)

Yelp
3.5 STARS COVID-19 TAKEOUT AZNs love lines, the longer the better. "Look, a 100 person line...for Boba...LEGGO!" Nothing is going to stop them. Not COVID.... Not sticky, sweaty booty hot weather. What can I say, we nosy! And, we love deals. Ok, this isn't a boba review but by the time I finished ordering at TBread, the line was nearly wrapped around the plaza corner for their Grand Opening BOGO Free Bánh Mì. Thankfully, I arrived before the rush and there was just 2 people in front of me. From the folks behind The Tea Zone, TBread is a new shop serving Bánh Mì (all $7.50) with their own house-baked bread. They also sell Spring Rolls ($5.25) and a variety of housemade croissants with various fillings ($3.45 - $4.25). Vegetarian and vegan friendly. For those with food allergies, do let the cashier know. One of the Bánh Mìs I ordered came with egg, though it wasn't specified on the menu. Also, although customizations were taken while ordering, it didn't seem they were actually accommodating them. Maybe an oversight? Something to be mindful of if you have allergies. C O V I D - 1 9 S A F E T Y P R E C A U T I O N S * All staff wore masks properly. * Gloves were worn. * Only one customer went inside to order at a time. After ordering, you're given a pager and asked to wait outside for your order. * Plexi-glass barrier at register. * Social distancing markers on the floor. * Hand sanitizer available. Kudos to the staff for taking all the precautions and wearing masks properly! All customers in line wore their masks properly - thank you! F O O D * TBread Special (Dac Biet) w/ ham, cha lua, pork floss, egg, pate (requested extra), mayo, cilantro, green onion, pickles, onion, and jalapeno * Grilled Pork w/ mayo, cilantro, green onion, pickles, onion, and jalapeno Even though the extra pate wasn't included and the egg caught me off guard, I thought the TBread Special was better than the Grilled Pork. I think my order may have been made in a rush - they're new and it was BOGO Free so below is just feedback: (+) Good house-baked baguette with a golden, crispy, crackly exterior and a fluffy soft center. (+) Big foot long, so it's a good value (if you don't mind a carby meal). (-) Both were dry. Needed more mayo and pate (for moisture), and didn't have the quintessential punchy layers of flavors. (-) Missing ingredients/ratio of ingredients were off. Not enough pickled veggies in the TBread Special and there were no jalapenos. The Grilled Pork (strong lemongrass flavor, no char) was mainly bread, cilantro, and lots of jalapenos. (-) Parts of the TBread Special had a unpleasant sweet aftertaste. Maybe something was accidentally added? * Spinach Feta Croissant ($4.25) The savory filling was good. The croissant itself was a bit bready in the center, no distinct, flaky layers. Probably tastes best heated up in a toaster oven. As long as you don't expect classic French patisserie style, it's fine. S E R V I C E Friendly and upbeat. There's a handful of staff on the line so they're very efficient given the volume of orders. After ordering, my Bánh Mì was ready in about 10 minutes; ahead of the two large orders in front of me. When picking up my order, the kind lady thanked me for waiting. P A R K I N G Ok, who was in charge of measuring out the spaces in this plaza?! It's like they were made for Steve Urkel's Isetta. Cars were parked all over the lines and people had to squeeze in/out of their cars. Overall, 3 stars for the Bánh Mì (compared to SF and Man Jose) but adding .5 stars and rounding up for the BOGO Free Offer and friendly service. Once they work out their kinks, I hope they will follow through with the customizations.

Yelp
I came for the Yelp Event for the Grand Opening promo and I'm so happy to be writing this review. I live in North Bay so I am sure going to write an honest review for a sandwich I had to drive 40 min for. I got the Tbread Special which is their version of the dac biet with cold cuts (which is my go-to!). Honestly I was surprised to bite into a medium fried egg but it was nice! I'm just not used to it. My first thought looking at the sandwich is that it was HUGE! Double the size of sandwiches I'd normally get and only for $7.50? A STEAL. Every bite was so juicy and satisfying. I was so full eating it for dinner, it could probably be too much for a lunch--can definitely split between two people. I also got a shrimp spring roll and it was good! It wasn't the standout though because it was outshined by the bahn mi. The staff is so friendly and the place is cutely decorated. There is maybe a tiny bar with 2-3 stools for seating post-COVID but it's mainly a grab-n-go place anyway. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.

Yelp
If you can't make it to East San Jose, TBread is serving up foot-long Vietnamese-style sammies now (banh mi) in Mountain View. There are eight varieties of banh mi's to choose from, along with fresh spring rolls, (not the fried kind) and a small selection of pastries. If you're interested in trying them out, I'd say do it within the next 3 days (10/1-10/3) when they'll be offering their BOGO Grand Opening Special. All sammies are $7.50, so that means getting $7.50 worth of free food... Bargain! I got the Grilled Pork Banh Mi sammies. They were filled with chunks of pork instead of the flatter cuts. The toppings were pretty standard with the typical pickled carrots and daikon and jalapenos. Overall, they were a bit different in taste than the ones that I'm more accustomed to, but I liked that they weren't overly salted. The bread had a nice crunch but oddly also had a slight coating of butter or oil on the top. The employees were pleasant and service was quick. I'm a creature of habit when it comes to sammies, so this probably won't be a go-to spot for me. Nonetheless, It's good to see more banh mi options in the Mountain View area.

Yelp
YUM!!! my first banh mi sandwich experience and my expectations were fully met at tbread!! first off, this little family-run shop is SO cute and authentic!! they are such nice, genuine people and you can really tell how much care they put into their sandwiches and shop! we ordered the tbread special, chicken teriyaki, and grilled pork! each sandwich was so fresh, and perfectly handcrafted to create a delicious, authentic vietnamese experience!! the bread is absolutely amazing, i cannot even describe it but it is perfectly toasted on the outside edges and fluffy, whiteness on the inside!! this golden bread is mouthwatering just to look at!! each and every ingredient in the sandwiches are fresh and go amazingly together. i can be a picky eater when it comes to sandwiches in that i like them plain and simple, with not too much going on. but all of the ingredients in these sandwiches go together so perfectly that i had absolutely no complaints!! i was truly biting into fresh quality sandwiches, meats, and ingredients, eating these sandwiches just brought me so much joy!! also special shoutout to the shrimp spring rolls and spicy vietnamese grilled bread.. shrimp rolls were huge but light!! and i had never had the spicy vietnamese grilled bread before, the flavors were interesting but in a good way! i say be adventurous and give this a try.. the flavors are strong in this but delicious nonetheless!! tbread has some AWESOME banh mi sandwiches, you've got to come here to try some fresh, quality, authentic vietnamese sandwiches!!!

Yelp
The bahn mi bread was irresistably crunchy and yummy! The bahn mi really hit the spot. I wish the spring rolls had more mint in them but they were also good. The peanut sauce was spot on. The service was super friendly even though he was super busy!

Yelp
Finally, a nice Banh Mi place in Mountain View. I got to try them as part of the Yelp event. I called ahead and placed the order and was told that it will be ready to pick up in less than 10 minutes. The ordering part was smooth and the pick up was equally easy. They had my order ready when I walked in. I got the TBread special sandwich and the Mushroom avocado sandwich. I love that they have seafood and veggie options, a little bit of something for everyone. I also got a side of shrimp spring roll. The sandwiches were huge and amazing, made with fresh baguette and lots of fresh veggies and wonderful flavor. The spring roll was fresh and delicious as well. I also loved the neat packaging of the sandwiches. They also carry croissants of various flavors, I stopped by in the evening so they were out of them though. The store was very clean and had a nice decor. The staff was friendly too. I would definitely come back for more and also try the croissants next time.

Yelp
For opening week, it wasn't bad at all. Signs posted for maximum of 5 people inside at a time. You order at the counter and are given a buzzer to wait outside. The wait wasn't too long for 4 bahn mis. Pricing it's the going rate now a days at $7.50. The BOGO special ended today Saturday and it was worth it. I tried the pork version, it wasn't better than your average bahn mi but a bit dry. Definitely hot sauce is needed to spruce it up. The veggies are typical daikon carrots, cilantro and few jalapeños. Parking can tough at busy times since there's a boba place in same little plaza. Service was quick and nice.

Yelp
Cute local shop that makes banh mi, spring rolls, and a few pastry items! I had the original tbread special. It was pretty good, with lots of pate spread on an awesome baguette that I gather is fresh-baked in house. Nicely crunchy and soft! I think for my taste I wasn't a big fan of the eggs in the sandwich but it was still good. Some items were a little porky but I managed okay. I also tried the grilled pork banh mi and I think I preferred this sandwich for the flavor. It was yummy and the pork was not dry at all, easy to bite. The pickled radish and carrots were great. The shrimp rolls were so good! The shrimp was clean and rice vermicelli went perfectly with the sauce. It had a gentle mint kick which I enjoyed; usually I'm not a big fan of mint in rolls but it was not overwhelming at all. The staff was super friendly as well. :)

Yelp
Second time here, second time ordering the #1 Tbread Special banh mi. Both times were average at best. I asked for no green onions (said it twice) and what did I get? Yep, green onions. Good thing I checked before I took the first bite.. I called to let them know and they apologized several times. I wasn't looking for them to do anything to compensate but whoever picked up mentioned that I could mention his name the next time I come in. I think it was Sammy? A bit hard to hear so I'm not sure. Anyway, I appreciate that although I probably won't come back. On to the sandwich itself. I love me a good Vietnamese mayo and pate but was really disappointed both times I've been here. Neither added to the banh mi for me and honestly the entire time I kept wishing I had a bottle of Maggi to add some flavor. The pickled veggies weren't pickled enough. The meats were okay. I ate everything piece by piece at one point and I really hate to say this but nothing stood out. Maybe just the baguette because that had a nice crunch to it but was still soft inside.
