Thursday December 11th pulled up and the store is closed an hour earlier than it should be at 7:40 rather than 8:30.

Christie Kimball, M.

Google
They shut this place down more than 30-45 min before closing because the high school girls that work it don’t want to open the door to wait on someone. This is terrible work ethic and as a business owner myself I would be FURIOUS if my staff just denied paying customers over and over. As a consumer I’m also angry. They literally waved at me at 747pm for an 830 close. This is the second time it happened. ✌🏻

Google
Not friendly , then she closed the window in my face We felt it was extremely over priced for one scope ice cream on a cone. EXPERIENCE WAS RIDICULOUS!!!!!! MORE ICECREAM SERVE ON A COME AT MCDONALD'S

Google
9.62 for a tiny cup of froyo and both the yogurt and toppings taste like straight up chemicals

Google
Oh wow!! You won’t find better service with Yvonne, General Manager. She personally welcomes you and was nice to my mother ❤️

I paid $7 for a kids cup with one toping. My friend paid $7 for a kids cup with three toppings. Way too overpriced.

Google
I love frozen yogurt and TCBY has always been my favourite, but this TCBY is by far superior then any other because of the woman that works there. She is so wonderful to all the customers and makes my son feel so special when we go in. She is wonderful which makes this TCBY the best I've ever gone to. Next time I go in, I'll ask her name and update accordingly.

Yelp
Quick stop in the afternoon on a Tuesday while waiting to get my hair done. I was served by one of the friendliest women. I see the reviews about young workers so I'm thankful I had her. Clean inside. Big variety to choose from. I tried the sugar-free Butter Pecan because I'm trying to lower my sugar and it was delicious, smooth and creamy. I'll definitely be back next time I have a hair appointment!

Yelp
I grew up enjoying TCBY Yogurt on hot summer days, and it is a must-have when I visit as it is the last store in Old Metairie. My favorite is a Parfait with White Chocolate Mousse yogurt and three toppings of choice. I am addicted to the walnuts and rainbow sprinkles. It is worth every calorie. The store is clean, with limited indoor seating. The staff are friendly and always provide excellent service. Highly recommend!

Tatiana M.

Yelp
Worst customer service ever. The girls were insanely rude. I really couldn't believe it. It was an hour before closing time but each time a customer came in they looked visibly annoyed. It was crazy how shameless they were about it.

Anonymous M.

Yelp
The people that work constantly shut down early before they are actually supposed to close (usually at 8:30). Extremely frustrating when I drive from a distant neighborhood to get there & they turn away several guests who arrive before actual closing time. This has been going on for years. No one ever answers the phone so there's no way to verify when they will close or even let a manager know that the workers are doing this.

Yelp
We needed to find shelter after suffering 110 degree weather outside. This was a break to cool off. They offered a lot of different flavors with frozen yogurt options. Also a variety of pint size flavors in the freezer. Place was clean and inviting.

Yelp
Last week me and some friends went out to get TCBY. I ordered their Psychedelic sorbet, this sorbet is red, orange and yellow. The sorbet was fruity but not to fruity, if your ever looking for a sorbet at TCBY I would recommend this one! TCBY is a ice cream, smoothie, and yogurt place. It is a great place to go with friends and family. TCBY is also friendly to all ages. TCBY is a quick but refreshing treat. The employee that had helped me was really really nice. So overall TCBY is a must when your in the area!

Yelp
Came here after lunch for dessert. Believe it or not, this was my first time at a TCBY. I only found out about it through Groupon, which I am lucky to have gotten before my visit. I expected a lot of frozen yogurt dispensers, but there were tubs of frozen yogurt just like ice cream shops. The employee said this was one of the last locations that still have scooped and it's more sanitary to have it done this way (which made total sense to me!). I had a cup of half Cotton Candy and half Praline and Cream with Marshmellow Drizzle and I felt like I had the best flavors I could get here! The frozen yogurt was very soft and creamy. The employee was very generous with the drizzle, I enjoyed every bite from my cup. I still had some leftover from my Groupon, so I got a quart of Crème de Mint Frozen Yogurt to bring home. I thought it would be a good choice, but I failed to notice it was one of their "No Sugar Added" quarts. The flavor sounded nice, but it was a bad choice for my family and me. Overall, a good choice for some frozen yogurt. I probably wouldn't get their "No Sugar Added" quarts again, but I wouldn't hesitate to have their hand scooped frozen yogurt again!

Yelp
I've been to this TCBY several times and am always greeted with a big hello when I walk in the door. Today they were slammed with an after school crowd, and still the service was quick, and the two ladies working were happy and helpful. I had a kids' scoop of butter pecan and it was delicious. I like that the per ounce calorie count is advertised on the front of each bucket. I don't always want to know, but if by chance it's one of those days when I'm watching what I shovel into my mouth, it's nice to know that the info is there. There are lots of toppings, as well. Today I saw pink and blue pop rocks!!! I didn't go for it, but I appreciate that the choice was there just in case someone is in the mood for a crazy fun option. Prices are decent and parking is always available on the really large, shared lot.

Yelp
Last week, me and a school club went to TCBY to try it out. I ordered a mint chocolate chip yogurtwich, which is TCBY's version of an ice cream sandwich. Though slightly frozen, the cookies were melt-in-your-mouth and the yogurt was rich and creamy with loads of chocolate chunks. As good as it was, the cookie stuck to my fingers slightly, but it wasn't enough to ruin it. I rate the food a 8.5/10. Along with the yogurt, I was also provided with one of their signature color-changing spoons. It was a magical addition to the experience. The atmosphere of the actual place is very upbeat and cheerful, and I will definitely be going back. I rate TCBY 9/10!

Yelp
I came in on a warm afternoon wanting a cold treat. A lady about my age was working. There was a couple sitting outside eating some yogurt, no other customers were inside. This is on the first floor of a two story strip mall. Plenty of parking. The lady working was busy with gift card preparation and I kind of got the feeling I was bothering her. I asked about the shiver, she compared it to the McFlurry by McDonald's. I got it with mini M&Ms and crushed Oreos in French Vanilla. The first few bites were good. But the after taste was just not good. And a few hours later, I was left with uncomfortable feelings of regret. The whole thing melted real quick, and this wasn't even that hot of a day, and I was not outside for long. With the distracted service and the not quite right tasting shiver, I am not sure I will be bringing my patronage back here. There was a sign at the register that credit card payments could take up to 30 days to process, with the number of the manager at the bottom. I wonder, in 2017, with the speed of life at the rate it is, why this is so outdated. I am glad I paid in cash.

Yelp
Came here with two friends and the lady opened a little early for us. She was super nice and got us our ice cream and set up our table and chairs. When the machine wasn't ready for one of the flavors, she later came back and gave us a small complementary cup when it was ready. We will come back again soon!

Yelp
This is a dessert place that I indulge in a little too often. It has a large menu of all kinds of ice cream, yogurts, smoothies, etc. If you're looking for a quick and satisfying treat it's a solid. It's also kiddo friendly even when they make a mess of their treat.

Yelp
Lactose free! Yippie for me! The ladies who work here are always charming, kind and able to fulfill my frozen yogurt fantasies with a mere flick of the wrist! New and yum yum yummy flavors... Old much loved favorites. Try a Shiver and nibble heaven thru a straw... Or with a spoon. Super cute decor. Easy access from Metairie Rd. A smile awaits your lips with every spoonful of lovely TCBY!

Yelp
I think TCBY is the best!! There service is always great. They have so many delicious flavors every day. They have really good deals for everything.

Jordan L.

Yelp
So this place is largely ok: the yogurt is good, it's a little expensive for what it is, the manager who's always working is a little rude and rushing people a lot when ordering, but the thing that is absolutely nuts to me is that since Covid, they won't let people use their bathroom. There's one in the back that everyone used to use but now when you ask them to use it they say that you can't and have to go next door to Subway. How are you going to have an ice cream shop for CHIlDREN and not have a bathroom? I can't imagine why Subway hasn't put a stop to this, but regardless it's awkward to walk in there with your kids with the person who works there staring at you and use the bathroom without buying anything and leave. It's also pretty inconvenient to have to pack up your crew of small kids, leave your ice cream and table, and drag everyone next door for a bathroom run in the middle of eating. It's really just unacceptable. If the Felipe's they're building on Metairie Road includes a yogurt shop like the one in Mid City, we'll just go there again-here's hoping!

Hannah L.

Yelp
This is the worst experience I ever had at a frozen yogurt place. First off, when I was ordering the froyo, they didn't wear gloves or hold a napkin around the cone. Secondly, the actual froyo I was served tasted like chemicals. Literally tasted like perfume. Finally, when my dad went back inside to get a new cone because of the aforementioned chemical taste, they flipped him off on the way out. He didn't see it as they did it while he was walking out, but my entire family saw one of the girls flip him off on the way off. Would give zero stars if I could! Awful customer service.

Yelp
The manager was extremely rude to me after I waited patiently for 10 minutes ALONE in the store before someone came up front to help me. However the employee who served me was a young girl and respectful. The store obviously needs leadership and rehires.

Jacquie V.

Yelp
Love the yogurt, but the employees are extremely rude! I arrived at 8:20 pm on a Tuesday to get ice cream with my daughter. Not only did both the employees look distracted (kept staring into the parking lot, which I would realize later was to monitor how many more customers were coming in), but as I was checking out, the woman at the cash register said: "Please don't eat your ice cream here . We are about to close." I wasn't planning to stay, but this comment caught me off guard anyway. At least she said please, I guess. The official TCBY website clearly states that it closes at 9:00 and I mentioned this (because I checked before I went) and she mumbled that they actually close at 8:30 per their manager. In any case, the whole encounter was awkward, frustrating and downright appalling.

Yelp
Last week I went to TCBY with my family and one of the workers gave us 4 coupons for free kiddie cups because my brother held the door for her. TBCY has a large variety when it comes to types of desserts. TCBY also has popular toppings like M&Ms, chocolate chips, yogurt chips, etc., but I am not a big fan of chocolate. So, I would like for it to have other options, but that's just my opinion.

Yelp
I am extremely upset. I called Uber eats because I had my hubbie home not feeling great, ordered it, called the store to make sure that they accepted it. They said yes. Then I get a text Uber said tcby rejected my order. So I drive there and both employees said that they didn't reject it. They offered NO sense or sorry or even try to gr that customer satisfaction. Which I think is extremely unacceptable. My BEST FRIEND's 1st JOB was at TCBY so I always think about that. These 2 girls were already moping, breaking down at 845. AND MEANWHILE AR JBS BAR THERE WERE 3 cop cars with lights and an ambulance

Yelp
TCBY is my daughter's favorite ice cream place in the area. I take her here often and she always gets the cotton candy ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and gummy bears. She always seems quite satisfied with the service and definitely with the product. BOTTOM LINE: A solid place for a chilly treat.

Yelp
TCBY is my all-time favorite frozen yogurt! I grew up on TCBY and I'm so glad there are still a couple locations in my area. I know there are lots of choices out there these days for yogurt, but I'm very happy to stick with what I know. The flavors here are rich and creamy and don't have that sourness many yogurt places have. This location is a good 20 min. drive for me, but it's worth the drive and the price for a product I know I'll be happy with. I hope you will give them a try if you haven't already, and I also hope they will be around for years to come.

Yelp
Officially giving up on this place. 3 of the last 5 times we tried to go they have closed early. Yelp says they close at 10, Google says 9:30, but they almost ALWAYS close at 9. Tonight they had a sign posted on the door saying hours subject to change because of cold weather. It's 50 degrees outside! Whoever is running this place is missing out on so much business.

M. M.

Yelp
We showed up the past 2 nights: 830 pm last night, 8.45pm tonight and they have closed early (according to posted hours, 9pm posted closing) with a worker in there cleaning with door locked. Fortunately, last night the woman allowed us in, but no such luck tonight. Other prospective customers knocked on glass door to no avail. Very annoying when it is posted hours no one is adhering to and you show up with a carful of excited kids.

Yelp
The skinny: Whatever the cause for the shortcomings in service, the cumulative experience of visiting this TCBY yogurt shop is not worth the calories or the cost. I am enamored with the resurgence of frozen yogurt and I am a fan of the TCBY frozen yogurt as well as the great desserts that TCBY stores offer that other self-serve frozen yogurt shops do not - like shakes made with real fruit, waffle cones, and sundaes. However, this particular location appears to be poorly managed. On a number of occasions I have noted that the staff are not consistently trained in customer service. Many do bring a delightful experience for a delightful treat but an equal number are quite disappointing. When they make a specialty desert, which is the notable feature of TCBY, the poor disposition and disinterest in making a good product is clearly revealed and certainly makes it less fun to go grab a treat. In addition, generally the staff have not been trained to extend the opportunity to use the loyalty card at the appropriate time during the transaction and are not helpful or apologetic in remedying the lost opportunity. Further, they appear to have not been trained to void an unwanted or erroneous transaction. Further still, the staff find it permissible to close the entire shop- stacking furniture, turning off some of the lights, and covering the toppings and yogurt options - even 15 minutes in advance of the posted closing time. If it is because they are not paid for time of work after closing, this is an oversight of management. Poor customer service agents or not, the staff appear to work very hard and have great responsibility in closing the store for which they should be compensated. As each of these modest imperfections is readily correctable, I have tried to reach the manager. However each time I have called during working hours, I have found that the phone is not answered and I am left to hear a hurried and difficult to understand outgoing message. Whatever the cause for the shortcomings in service, the cumulative experience of this TCBY yogurt shop is not worth the calories or the cost.

Yelp
I love this place. This is our go to spot for "ice cream" treats and cake. I love that they have products already prepared in the freezer ready for a quick pick up. The employees have been nice and patient when we ask to try the new flavors :)

Kait L.

Yelp
As reviewer below stated, THEY CLOSE EARLY WITH NO WARNING! So, beware. On the front door the posted hours say open until 10pm (it's Friday). This is on their FB page as well as web page. There is a phone recording also giving hours (but it is usually wrong about flavors available). No one ever actually answers the phone - just a recording. I arrived there at 9:15 pm tonight and doors were locked, handwritten sign saying "CLOSED EARLY AT 9 pm DUE TO COLD WEATHER. Hello! It's 65 degrees outside! A young server was inside with lights on cleaning up the place. Several other people arrived while I was there - families with children. DOES THE OWNER KNOW THEY ARE REPEATEDLY CLOSING EARLY WITH NO WARNING TO CUSTOMERS?? Now on the positive side, WHEN THEY ARE OPEN, service is very nice, and the selection of flavors and quality is excellent. The two star review reflects poor customer service - who wants to drive all the way over there only to find it closed?? Very rude!

Yelp
Small but clean and very tasty frozen yogurt. You can take some from the freezer to go if you are in a hurry! There are also seats inside and outside if you want to stay.

Yelp
You really can't go wrong with anything that starts with TCBY... The acronym stands for The Country's Best Yogurt for goodness sakes. So yes, the yogurt and ice cream sold there is pretty darn good. My favorite flavor is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (since we love acronyms; henceforth, lets call it CCCD), which some ice cream makers don't get right often. TCBY's CCCD somehow has the perfect ratio of vanilla ice cream to cookie dough pieces, which is hard to make happen. I visited the TCBY on Metairie Rd a couple of days ago, the shop was initially filled with a large 15-20 person group of high school students, so I figured there may be a wait. When I walked in however, I saw that the group had already been taken care of, and fortunately, there was no line at the counter. I soon realized, in addition to no line at the counter, there was no TCBY employee at the counter either. I stood there, patiently waiting for about 10 minutes before someone who works there came out from the back. She didn't seem too enthused to take my order though... I'm not sure if the high schoolers were too much for her, or not, but she definitely took a break after dealing with them. Three stars because this place is definitely A-OK, but the service wasn't as sweet.

Elle M.

Yelp
We arrived tonight Friday at 9:32 with customers in the store there was a sign on the door saying sorry we are closing at 9:30 tonight the girl was rude to my daughter and refused to serve her even though the door was open #tcbygoingdownhill #sad
