The Best Way to Spend a Weekend Eating, Drinking, and Sightseeing in Minneapolis | Eater Twin Cities

"A large stadium where professional soccer games (including the Minnesota Aurora) are played; attending a match is presented as a brilliant way to cap a weekend in the city without needing aurora-hunting meteorological luck." - Julie Yu

Here’s an expanded and more polished version of your review that keeps your original tone but adds detail, warmth, and flow: ⸻ Expanded Review: Great facility! We’ve been here on three different occasions — once for a high school football game, once for the Ultimate Frisbee National Tournament, and once for the Vikings preseason camp — and every experience has been outstanding. Each time we visit, I’m impressed all over again by how well this stadium is designed, organized, and maintained. The layout makes it easy to find your way around, and the seating offers great views no matter where you sit. The fields are always in pristine condition, and the attention to detail in keeping everything clean and well cared for really stands out. The staff and event coordinators are professional and friendly, and they handle large crowds with ease and efficiency. Parking has been well managed every time we’ve attended, and there are plenty of nearby spots and clear signage to help direct you where to go. Restrooms and concessions have consistently been clean and well stocked — not something you can say about every venue of this size! Whether it’s a professional event, a local high school matchup, or a national tournament, this facility has a way of making each one feel special. It’s obvious that a lot of thought and care have gone into making this a place that can successfully host such a wide variety of sporting events. Every time I’ve come here, I’ve left impressed and grateful that we have such a top-notch venue available for both community and professional use. Truly one of the best facilities of its kind in the region.

We had an amazing experience at the 2025 Vikings Training Camp! Fantastic value and excellent facilities! My son played a high school football game under the lights at TCO in 2024 and the locker rooms are excellent and the turf field is top notch. The staff is extremely friendly and professional from the ticket takers to the food service workers. Highly recommended!

Went to Viking's training camp today. What a nice facility. We didn't go inside any buildings so I'm strictly talking about the outside. There were many booths giving away things as well as booths where you could purchase items. It was very hot today and there is few places for shade. There was a little shade in the stands were they had the activities set up. They had a field where they would time you with the 40 yard dash, you could try and kick a field goal, a quarter back area where you tried to hit a target, and a flag football area. This is a great place to take the kids, especially around 8 and over. Then we moved to their practice fields. Most of the stands don't have shade and the sun was hot today. There are two areas that are shaded and I believe that one is even air conditioned but I'm not sure. I didn't know about that area or I would have paid extra for the shade. They had free water stations so you could fill a water bottle and cooling stations. They have away free Johnny Pops too. I had never had one before and they were delicious. Better than a popsicle. Concession stands were open too. Tickets were only $10 a piece and I paid extra for handicapped parking. Would I go again? Absolutely, but now I know how to be better prepared.

The TCO Stadium is normally the training grounds for the Vikings, but occasionally they have other events open to the public. I went for the world's largest ice maze. Did not disappoint. It took up about half the field and was truely a unique experience. Lots of other ice themed events in igloo shaped tents around and even food trucks. The shape of the field keeps the wind low and was pretty perfect for the event. The stadium itself is incredibly nice. Feels new and well maintained. Even the bathrooms are modern.

Visited Vikings Locker Room Store and Vikings Museum. Both were excellent and had friendly, helpful staff. We had a custom jersey made and the store staff delivered it to us in the museum when it was finished. Had my wife's wheelchair bound sister with, and the handicap timed access doors were way out of tolerance. Took abnormal time to open wide enough for her chair. Then closed quickly when she was only halfway through the door, locking her in place until we could recycle the system. Had it been a single chair based person, they would have been trapped. Fix the doors and it is a five-star visit!👍

The MN Ice was quite the experience! It was really fun to do the ice Maze and know it hit Genius World record. However, the plastic they put down before the snow was a really bad idea. It's too slippery, so it wouldn't be good for people with weak balance or need help walking.

We went to an Aurora game here and had a great time! It's a very nice facility, bathrooms were clean, and easy to navigate around. Getting inside is easy and the surrounding area is very quiet and nice.

Yelp
We visited the TCO Performance Center to see a MN Aurora Women's soccer game. It was a great experience. You cannot walk around the entire stadium. One end is cut off so you have to make a U to walk to see all field views. There was plenty of room for the vendors and people walking in the aisles. For the Aurora game, the three middle sections on each side were reserved which left plenty of great viewing options in general admission. Our game started at 4pm and it was an extremely hot, sunny day so be prepared to sweat. There is not a lot of shaded seating. One area that was unique is a grassy area in the end zone. People were allowed to bring in blankets and sit in the grass. The stadium is small enough that there are really no bad seats. I'd definitely come back again to watch something here.

Yelp
We went to the DCTC graduation that was held here. First of all, the list of prohibited items is not disclosed until directly before the entrance. This sign should have been by the parking lot. There were many individuals who had to make the long walk back to the parking lot. Secondly, the information on the website didn't match what they allowed and didn't allow. Thirdly, I am glad I didn't have a physical disability or was with someone who had one. Access for them is lengthy and limited. Lastly, no one in the crowd could hear the speakers. Everyone was muffled. Therefore, no one was paying attention. I'm sure this wasn't the first time an event was held here. Do better. I usually don't rewrite reviews. But folks, this venue was bad.
