I just moved around the corner from this place so I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad that I did. The food is amazing. I ordered the smoked chicken wings with yams, collards and jambalaya. Everything was on point! I hesitate to mention anything in particular because everything was good, but them yams!? Whewww. Chef Shombe is also super cool and down to earth. I'll definitely be back.

If you want some great BBQ with man sized portions have a stop here.. not your typical gas station food. Without doubt some great BBQ but the best Mac and cheese I've had in Georgia to date.. happy I was low on fuel and happened to stop here. This one will be saved as a favorite. And the brother running the place is good people . Great BBQ and healthy portions. But the Mac and cheese yall ... it's hard to find real good real Mac and cheese like granny used make type good.. have a try

I traveled 25 miles because the bbq is just that good and the portions are generous. The homemade sauce takes it to the next level. The string beans were a little bland but everything else was on point!

Everything about this place is amazing! From the food, the staff, and the location. I had a private event here and the experience was awesome! Reserving the space was easy and professionally handled by Karina. She made sure that the food catered for the event was more than enough. The overall cost was great! Everyone enjoyed the restaurants atmosphere….a special shoutout to the DJ who helped to create that. The servers and kitchen staff went above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly. I received so many compliments on choosing this place to have my event! A time was had! I will certainly be back. Thanks TDH for a great time! 😊

Went to purchase lotto tickets from gas station. Daughter was drawn to the BBQ restaurant in rear of station due to the intoxicating smell. Met chef shombe such a wonderful man offered samples since we were new, food was incredible that's saying something teen daughter is very picky. After receiving sample, food was so good we purchased items to go. Ribs tender nice flavor, collards seasoned well & cornbread good. Will be back to try other items.

Ribs were great! This the second time I’ve ordered food from them via UberEATS. Family loves it and I love it! We from Memphis and can definitely be some hard critics, but I can’t complain. Ribs had great flavor and some great bark! Chicken was great too! You can tell from the flavor that they care and know what they’re doing!

Chef gave us some peach cobbler and it slappeddddd!!! Coming back soon to try the other stuff. Don't pass this place up!

I've been wanting to go by TDT and support them for a long time now. I once had their salmon plate at a pop up event and the food was amazing! My only issue is that I tend to frequent their area on Mondays, which are the days that they're closed. The chance finally arrived, and I couldn't have been more excited! They're located in a gas station and your only option is to order carry out, but the food is so worth it! This time I had the chicken wing plate. It comes with 5 huge wings and 2 sides. The wings fall off the bone -- so good! I couldn't decide [on sides] so opted for three. Potato salad, mac and cheese, and yams. Everything was absolutely delicious! A little birdie told me that they are opening a restaurant in the area soon. I'm sure it will be amaaazzing! I'll be sure to check it out when it arrives!

Stopped by yesterday while in the area. Got ribs, wings potato salad and green beans. Ribs and chicken were so cold and the meat had lost all color -- they were old and cold. So old and cold they didn't even bother with putting any bbq sauce on them. Just dry old meat! Yes I'm upset at a cost of over $30. First sign I should have checked my order was that it was ready before I paid --should have made me inspect the boxes. At least they could have tried to hide the old meat with sauce but that shows they didn't care! Meat was also too salty! Dissatisfied and disappointed!

Jesus Christ. I stumbled upon this place buying lottery tickets! Unfortunately they had sold out of food by time I got there. So I made it a point to go back the next day to get food and I am so glad I did. I had the smoked wings, mac and cheese and baked beans. I have not inhaled food like that so quickly in my life. It was amazing to me. You always find the best places in holes in the wall (gas stations!) The service was with a smile and yes there will be a wait (I went on a Saturday-I think I waited maybe 20 minutes). I will be back :)

I'm upgrading my review and downgrading my opinion of my Fav. Barbecue joint because of the lighter fluid pass through taste into the ribs n Brisket. For true professionals, this must be burned off before the cook starts. However the demand for product can force Chef's to hurry up the process n as a consequence, compromise the taste of a otherwise great product. I HOPE THEY TAKE HEED TO THIS ISSUE. Lighter fluid; that taste is not appetizing yuke!

These reviews must be cap bc that peach cobbler we got today was trash. Sugary, syrupy diabetic mess. Ugh. I could not even eat it and I looooooove peach cobbler. This was horrible. Hands down one of the worst peach cobblers I've ever had. Too sweet ---yuck. And ribs salty. The beans with meat were good though.

Unreal.. Going down the road hungry and saw a guy with a big beard taking ribs off the smoker and so you know you gotta bust a U'ie and try the BBQ! 10/10 was not disappointed. Greeted by Chef Chombe with a big contagious smile! Immediately given a samples - a rib, smoked wing, brisket, and baked beans and mac n cheese. The service was above and beyond anything that i expected. Not only that, but Chombe hooked me up as a first time customer with some peach cobbler. I hope my granny doesn't see this.. cobbler HANDS DOWN I've ever tried. Truly a huge blessing having stopped here! Affordable, incredible BBQ. I will certainly be back!

5 stars easily! Don't let the location fool you.. this is great food!!! All of the options for bbq.. beef rib, pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, turkey, etc. I ordered a brisket plate with green beans and baked beans with beef as my side. ( you have option of ground beef or turkey) Like a lot of bbq places, they allow you to you to sample the sides! I also tried the greens, and the Mac and cheese. I can honestly say every side is worth it!! Everything was fire. So whenever you pick a side just go with what you have a taste for! You literally can't go wrong.. Everything was cooked exceptionally. The brisket wasn't quite as tender and smoked as I'm used to but I still enjoyed it! Everything was seasoned perfectly, not too much of anything.. Oh and they're sauce is great too! Usually bbq restaurants down south sauces are mustard or vinegar based, I think there's might have been tomato! It was sweet but still smoky and robust with a thin texture like it was vinegar based. Definitely will be back.. 5/5

First time trying this place I ordered on ubereats. It far exceeded my expectations and the pricing is great for what you get. I normally order from sweet auburn, but their sides and prices make me avoid them. Everything in the pics ( 5 rib bones, 3 thick slices of brisket, 2 healthy side portions, 2 pieces of bread, and about 20 wings) came to $25 with a coupon I had on ubereats. Granted idk if they charged me correctly for the wings. I ordered 5 but they sent 20. It was sooo good! The rub on the wings did hit a bit salty, but the smoke was perfect. The ribs were tender and smoky and the sides (mac n cheese and yams) paired perfectly and we delicious in their own respects. My favorite thing was the brisket though. I could eat a pound of that alone. The bark on it was delicious. I'm 100% returning to this place.

Chef is incredible and is willing to work with you any menu you are trying to create for your event. We have used TDT for Baby showers, Family Reunions, Homecoming, and GameDays and they don't miss. The Mac is a staple- if you aren't ordering the Mac why are you here. All of the sides are A1. They have an off the menu platter that included Chicken, Ribs, and Brisket and multiple sides. It was perfect for GameDay Eats. It's in a gas station- so it's definitely a grab and go spot.

This is the best bar-beque this side of town this is my 2nd review they also have a variety of sides my favorite is the pork & beans and potato salad season to perfection and also the peach cobbler.i recommend this place to everyone it's a mouth watering experience...

Best BBQ ribs in HOTLANTA. Real smoked BBQ ribs which are tender and ready for you to reminisce how your ancestors used to do it back in the day. I certainly recommend these ribs.

This is one of those bbq places you go to, eat and then say -- dang-- I am coming back here. My daughter and I stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. We got the pulled pork sandwich. Really good. Check them out. We'll be back

The good is so good. The brisket is my favorite. It's so tender. It's full of grease but aside from that it's great. Their ribs are good too. The macaroni and cheese is good as well. They give very generous portions. It's inside of the gas station and it doesn't look the best back there but it's really good.

Love their bbq and baked beans. Wish they were open later. Only open 12 to 6:00 p.m. buy my lottery tickets while waiting on my order.

I don't give many 5 stars, and this one well deserved! The BBQ is attached to a gas station, so it may be hard to find, I've included the gas station it is attached to. I had the BBQ pork shredded and Collard greens and Peach cobbler to go was ample serving, and the quality of the meat was excellent, not a lot of fat. The store also had interesting potato chips! RAP kind! The service to take out was fast and efficient. Bring your own container for the sauce as they do not have take out sauce . I choose to not have the sauce on it, I like to add it a little at a time. If you like good BBQ with out all the frills- this is the place!

Delivered!!! The ribs and brisket were smoked very well; the taste was traditional but slightly distinguishing. Southern folk may need to add a little seasoned salt.

Wow! This place is a gem! It's a true hole in the wall (located inside a shell gas station), but it is some of the best barbecue I've had in Smyrna. Not to mention their prices are great as well. They have a ton of items to choose from and even have rotating menus in addition to their classic menu. I ordered the ribs plate with a side of Mac & cheese and collard greens. The ribs were real good & come right off the bone. The Mac & cheese is creamy, but very cheesy and good as well. The collard greens are so good! As somebody who has not really been a fan of collard greens, I was pleasantly surprised. I'll 100% be back here, especially for the desserts. They have a strawberry cobbler that they were sold out of, but I really want to try it. They also have key lime & strawberry cakes sometimes so I'll have to see what those taste like too!

Everything is amazing here... seriously I have yet to be disappointed. I've been 3 times now and keep trying new things and they're all good. My favorite is probably the salmon, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. They also sometimes have it over a rice with crab/shrimp seafood sauce that is good. My partner loves the beans (I got him a quart last time and suffered all weekend) and the ribs, both pork and beef. Brisket is pretty solid too considering we are in Georgia! I will keep going back and I tell everyone how good it is!

I have been to TDT 6 times in 3 weeks, I drive 25 mins each way. I purchase food for me and my family, I also purchase food for Doctors I work with and everyone who has tried the Chefs food have said it's the Best BBQ they have ever had!! I will continue to support this business and continue to let people know how GOOD it is....

Some gas station barbecue joints are incredible. Some are just OK. This is one of the just OK places.

The food was delicious! Great service by the young lady that took our order. Ordered the rib tips which were meaty and tender, absolutely loved the peach cobbler- can't wait til my next order. Only problem was they forgot my cornbread!

I thought this was a food truck that was never manned for years. I totally missed the fact that they had a counter in the shell building. This is really good bbq, just stand outside at an off hour and watch how many folks are in and out for food. We had the pork and brisket and they were both excellent! The brisket was outstanding. We had potato salad and it was excellent with a slight kick at the end. We also had the jambalaya and I'd skip that next time. Still good but I'd rather something else. The cobbler was fresh and outstanding. I will always order the cobbler, that's a don't miss item. My wife said that she's going to just order the brisket and the cobbler next time. Definitely going back!

Don't use for catering services, service is subpar as well as the food. If you like gas station bbq, by all means go here but for catering it's a no. Definitely would not recommend for catering whatsoever. The quality of food is not the same that is served at his bbq stand. Damn shame.

I saw on Instagram that they had grilled lamb chops one day so I hurried to go get some. By the time I got there, they were sold out. . But Chef Shombe gave me a rain check and said I could come another day to get some and they would be on him! I thought that was very nice since this was my first time visiting there but I'd been following his IG page for months. I decided to get the turkey wings, ribs, sausage dogs, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, collard greens and potato salad. OMG!!! The turkey wings were smoked to perfection and seasoned just right. The ribs fell off the bone and had that grilled/smoked flavor I love. The sides were cooked like my grandma made them. Everything was sooooo good. My family of four ate off this food for two days. I've found my new favorite spot for soul food. I highly recommend this place! I'm definitely going back - for the grilled lamb chops and on days when he doesn't have those on the menu.

This spot is located Inside the Shelle gas station. If your not from around that area, you would probably miss it. First let me say the prices are TOO HIGH!!! for the amount of food you get. Now! I heard about this spot from a couple of coworkers. They went on and on about some dang Turkey Rib. First of all... WHAT THE HECK IS A TURKEY RIB? DO TURKEY'S HAVE RIB? I'M JUST SAYING!!! :-\ Okay I purchased two orders of these so called turkey ribs with two sides and a order of ribs. These turkey ribs had a God flavor "which they look like little breast not ribs" and they was dry and cost $13. Now! Let me tell you... Those ribs was off the hook. They was tender, flavorful and juicy. BUT!!!!!!!!!! they gave you 3 little bones for $12 or $13.. WTH!!! The sides I order with the meals was not the best. We didn't like the bake beans (wayyy too sweet) the collard greens (wasn't flavorful or just not good) the Brunswick stew was (wayyy too sweet as well) But that corn bread was the best, and I'm not even a bread eater. All. I can say is that.... I went...I tried... And I won't be back. PS. They did have Madd foot traffic, so somebody like those turkey ribs. Lol!!!

Negative 10! I will never eat here again. They send you the wrong stuff, it's sloppy, overcooked, and bland.

I often forget that they are closed on Monday but, I always go back for those smoked wings. You gotta get there early for those. After 2pm there are rarely any left. The sides are delicious; the Mac and cheese and baked beans ŵ meat are my faves.

My guy rather enjoys their rib tips and frequents them at least monthly to indulge. However the salmon I ordered was rather dry and overcooked.

Wow! Sooo good! Went in today for the first time and will definitely be returning. There are a lot of different meat and side choices. I ordered chicken wings, chicken breast, and ribs. ALL WERE DELICIOUS! The sides were just as good! The young lady who took my order was really nice and helpful and the owner let me taste the salmon; which I will be getting next time I visit. We found a new place!

While crying over a romantic comedy on Netflix I ate 6 ribs, 1/2 lb of Brisket, and a Qt of Mac and Cheese. It was therapeutic!

LISTEN... I'm OFFENDED. These ribs were better than my daddy's ribs lawd. If you're thinking about taking a chance on a new bbq spot... DO IT HERE!!!!!!! I FORTUNATELY stumbled across them on my Uber eats app & was like nahhhh I haven't had a bbq place worth eating at in Georgia in 9years (I'm from Chicago). However, a few minutes later I unintentionally came across TDT again on yelp lookin for something else. THE REVIEWS ON HERE SOLD ME!! So of course I HAD to see if it were true. THIS many of my people agreeing on BBQ?! I had to try it out. Lol MY FOOD TESTIMONY: PEOPLE- THE REVIEWS ARE TRUE!!!! I ordered a rib plate, a chicken plate, Mac n cheese, green beans, and baked beans (all for me cause I'm greedy, lol). EVERYTHING was good! EVERYTHING- do you hear me?? The ribs fell off the bone they were so tender!! The chicken was PERFECTION!! The sides ABSOLUTELY tastes like someone's family recipe passed down generations!! EVERYTHING seasoned to PERFECTION!! Y'all know- usually the mac n cheese is a little shaky at bbq spots. Tuh NOT HERE- it was PERFECT & CREAMY with that lil' darkened piece of cheese on top. I was IN LOVE. Lol I've been trying to gain at least 30lbs & I think I've found my solution. Lol They will receive ALL OF MY MONEY. I was dancing while I ate & when I finished eating I genuinely felt PURE joy inside. Lmao I thought I had soul food before but nahhh- THIS restaurant makes food for your soul forreal forreal. I passed this place for years because I thought all it was somebody on the corner selling ribs stopped to get gas and realized it's a whole restaurant in there so I had to try it and I did I ordered online because my first time in the line was super long I ordered a rib plate and a brisket plate for the next day lunch the ribs was well smoked falling of the bone and the brisket just what the doctor ordered.the sides was good too so if you coming down Floyd rd see the smoke better stop if you love good Smokey bar-b-que oh yea and the price is very reasonable!!! I will be returning until I've tried the whole menu even the dessert...sorry no pictures ate it to fast.

The difference between someone cooking for money and someone with a passion. Best BBQ in Georgia hands down. I'm from California and I have a High standard and he exceeded it. Loyal customer from here on out. I wanted to show a picture but lol, yeah I ate the whole plate in the parking lot lol

Customer service was poor. I called in to place an order (after seeing instruction online to call ahead) and the girl that answered the phone and told me after I said I wanted to place an order for pick up that they weren't taking them and I can just come in and order. I thought that was strange, especially given the conditions being in public places during COVID. When I walked in to order the service wasn't any different from my experience on the phone. It was almost as if I was bothering her. Parking: little to none - the establishment is actually in a small gas station so the parking is very limited. It was around 3p in the afternoon so it was busy and there was no parking available when I went. I had to park along the side of the parking lot in a makeshift parking spot. Atmosphere: small and congested. You have to walk the front convenience store area to get to the back where the restaurant is located. The order area is walk up and then your email given a ticket to go to the front cash register for the convenience store area and stand in line to pay there. Cleanliness: there was a posted report on here that the health score was an A, but I wasn't sure if that's recent or not. There were flies in the building flying around the restaurant area and the same girl who took my order wore gloves when prepping the food, but there was a barrier to block visual of the food as it's being prepared and while I didn't see her fix my order because I was in line to pay up front, I did see her prepare another order. She wore gloves but I saw her go to the trash can and touch several other things in the area with the gloves on before discarding them after she finished his order. Pricing: it was fair for the amount of food given. I paid 15.00 for five wings, two sides and purchased an extra side. Food: the food was disappointing. I ordered smoked wings, green beans, Mac and cheese and yams. The wings were small and seemed to be dry and over smoked or from earlier in the day, the green beans were bitter and seasoned with something I couldn't identify. I ended up not eating them at all. The Mac and cheese was a little dry but over all ok. The yams weren't good either. They seemed to be seasoned with applesauce and/or lemon juice. They certainly did not meet the mark of expectation for southern cooking. There are a variety of things in the menu to choose from though. Overall review: the overall experience was poor and I will not be returning. Especially after finding myself in the bathroom at 3:45am as a result of the meal. While pricing was fair and the ratings seemed to be inviting, I would be hard pressed to support or consume again.

Braved the pandemic to get some of this BBQ. Heard good things but had never been. Tried it out and I am very pleased. Brisket was delicious and tender. Pulled pork was so tasty. It felt like summer time in the middle of January. And the sides?? I'm usually disappointed by sides especially from BBQ spots, but these were delicious. Try this gas station restaurant out.

I haven't been in a while but this place is not just good bbq it's good food in general. The sides like Brunswick stew, stuffing, jambalaya, baked beans, and potato salad are terrific. The ribs and meats are juicy and succulent. You won't go wrong with the daily special.

Some of the best BBQ I've ever had, by far the best OTP. The beef ribs are fire. Amazingly tender, so much flavor, reallly meaty. The brisket is also on point with a great smoky flavor. I'm a sucker for thick cut brisket and this was cut super thicc. The bits on the outside with a crispy crust and melty fat were amazing. The pulled pork was good, but the least amazing of the three ( to be fair pulled pork is almost always good for me.) For sides, the Brunswick stew was the meatiest I've tried. I don't even know what all was in there, but I found some surprise sausage which was great. The baked beans (with beef) were also great and had a good portion of meat in them. Mac and cheese was solid. Creamy but not too liquidy. The collard greens were the least memorable of the sides, I could have used a little more salt but I sometimes like food more salty than the average person. They keep it simple with the sauce. There's not five options like at some places, but the one they have is perfect (unless you're married to one of the Carolina varieties.) It's tasty and tangy. We got the food and ate it in the gas station. They have a few counter seats and a table. The location/ambiance in no way detracted from the experience. There are some exceptions, you but in general I believe BBQ restaurants should be without frills anyway. The service was quick and really nice. (Who I'm guessing was) the pitmaster/chef came out and asked us how everything was and he is super friendly. My in-laws live near by and whenever possible I will grab food from here for sure ! I believe he said they've been here three years and I can't believe I've never been until now.

The plate was FYE! Mac & cheese, ribs and Brunswick stew! Only thing I could critique is the HUGE lumps of meat in the small side of stew. Would liked to have had more stew.

I left without sauce for my rib tips (all my fault) Luckily. They were still tender and flavorful. Sauce is an accent for BBQ. It can break, but cannot "make" the meat itself. Mac n cheese yuuummmy with just a hint of heat.

Chef Shombe is my caterer for life. I am saying this after one week of working with him. Tuesday morning I was referred to Chef Shombe by my neighbors, in need of a caterer for my mother in law's memorial service for Friday, yes just three days later because the other caterer wasn't respondent. Sure I could have reached out to any caterer, but what Papa God has for you, it is for you, and it is beyond good. For a reasonable charge, while my family was at the service, my neighbor gave entry to Chef Shombe to deliver and set up the food and drinks. What a relief, to not worry about preparing and setting up for the repast. When we arrived home shortly after the food delivery , the food was hot, all we had to do is say our grace and eat! I am yet speechless to how absolutely amazing the food tasted, I mean everything was delicious; fried chicken, baked chicken, fried flounder (the most talked about), mac & cheese, collard greens, rice and peas, rolls, a beautiful spring salad, and lemonade. Nothing was wasted, I had to hide away a few items for the next day, just to have left overs. So glad I did, everything was gone, not that we did not have enough, there was plenty. Family and friends were going for seconds and perhaps thirds throughout the day. Now...I am sold on Chef Shombe's peach cobbler!!! I purchased two full pans of peach cobbler from another place, Chef Shombe stated, I will bring a sample of mine (half pan) for you to try, when I say Chef's Shombe's cobbler is truly authentic, balanced, and it makes you want to go to a quite corner, face the wall to be at peace, and just enjoy every bit of it. Chef Shombe's half pan of cobbler is scraped and gone, I still have two pans left from the other place. I know professionalism and passion extremely well, I also know great quality food when I see, smell, and taste it. Listen, Chef Shombe is living in his passion, from the way he speaks about his food, to his delivery in every aspect, he is the epitome of the title ~ Chef. It satisfies my soul to know who to call on for future family events...no matter if it's Joyful or Sad. OMG this place was sooo good. As you are driving closer you start to smell the bbq before you get there, so drive with your windows down. It's located inside the Shell gas station. The grills are outside. You go back to the counter and place your order, you get a ticket and you pay up front. Kids get a free beef hot dog while they last. My kids got the last 2 for the day at around 6:30. This place is pretty much take out only. They had one small bistro table that could sit 2, but like I said, it's in a gas station, so I'm sure most take out. The menu has all the regular bbq stuff and some cool other things, like lamb ribs. They also have specials. I got the dino rib (beef rib) special $18.95, and it was so worth it. Not sure what they do to it but you basically get 2 or 3 ribs on one bone. For sides I got mac n cheese and collard greens. We also had yams and baked beans. Everything was amazing. I don't even eat carbs, but I ate every one of those and loved every moment. And my kids loved it - happy plates = happy mom.
