Tea Bar

The location is not as good as their another store Tea Bar NW, but I really liked the interior design here better, which has bar seats at the counter where you can watch the bartenders mixing. The taste is the same as Tea Bar NW, so they’re doing well on quality control and product consistency!

I'm a huge fan of Tea Bar, a variety of high-quality tea-based beverages and other goodies. They have some of my favorite drinks I've tried, such as the cardamom steamer, mint majick latte, and especially the mango matcha, which I can't get alternatives anywhere else. The interior of the location is clean and calm, modern and sleek. Also, the employees at every Tea Bar, including this one, are very helpful. The girl who helped me today was super sweet. The only issue is the price, which I do think is too much on the high side, even for what you get, but I'm happy to support this business anyway.

Atmosphere is young, hip, clean with a modern aesthetic. But service was so. so. so. SLOW. The two teas we tried were delicious so we'll def be back, but Christ why was there just one girl manning the whole place?? Too busy and centralized location to have only 1 worker while 4+ people wait in line for close to 15 min.

Tea Bar SE is my fave hangout and study spot in all of Portland. It is pricey, but you are paying for quality ingredients, which I think is worth it. The baristas are knowledgeable, helpful, and make the best bubble tea. The store is always kept very clean, and the minimalist decor leaves you feeling like you're in an Instagram photo. If you're trying Tea Bar for the first time, I definitely recommend ordering the Lavendar Bubble Tea with oat milk!

Great, great interior. Love their teas, but they are a bit pricy. Minimal space allows for the perfect workplace for freelancers. Nice atmosphere, high ceilings, favourite location of the three!

I had the golden milk latte (boba tea is the back) had a pretty pungent taste but was still good. Very quiet during midday on a Thursday. Nice minimalistic design to the place. Three rows of bar stools one big table for a group of 8 ish people and a handful of small tables inside and outside. Nice quiet ambiance to study. Wifi available upon request of the password. Prices are a little higher, but you get pretty quality tea in my opinion.

Pretty good place. Minimalistic in design and their staff know their teas. I will say that a 16oz of tea was a lot for me and would like a choice of an 8 or 12 oz size, but mostly just my preference. Will likely return when I'm in town

What a great tea cafe on Division! Tea Bar is a modern, chic cafe serving high-quality, made-to-order teas including lattes, matcha, and boba. A lot of their ingredients are natural, local, and organic, which also explains the higher price point. This location has plenty of seating, large windows, lot of natural light - perfect for working from home or getting some studying done. They also have a few tables outside - perfect as the summer weather rolls around. I got one of their seasonal drinks - strawberry milk matcha with coconut milk. The fresh strawberry was refreshing and sweet, balancing well with the matcha. They have cute glass jars for dine-in use! Service was friendly and they were patient with me as I decided what to order and offered to answer questions. With the fair share of coffee shops in Portland, don't overlook the tea we have to offer!

@teabar in division This place is fantastic! The atmosphere is bright and airy, which I love. They offer an extensive variety of teas, so it took me a while to pick one. Plus, they also serve donuts! In particular, I believe this place is an ideal spot for anyone looking to enjoy some peace and quiet. After a long day of chasing waterfalls, decided to go for a pick-me-up at this boba spot near our Airbnb! The inside of this spot is very aesthetic, and it's also pretty quiet so it would be the perfect study spot. I ordered the Maple Matcha Latte ($6.25), which was good, but I don't think the maple flavor was all that apparent. My sister got the jasmine boba ($6.50), and it was actually super bomb - the boba texture was 10/10!! This was another boba spot that exceeded my expectations, and I was very pleasantly surprised. they also have a lot of other unique drinks, so I would've definitely tried out the other items if we were here longer!

This is such a beautiful and simply designed Tea Bar. Great space to do homework, telework, or even chit chat with friends. Prices were resemble and each drink was made to order with a smile. I am grateful to have spent time here in the morning. Oh and the matcha was delicious!

Love this cute, airy tea bar! the menu is extensive and they have fun offerings plus seasonal flavor profiles. My favorite is the sparkling cardamom chai - it's fresh, slightly sweet with the right amount of chai essence. can't wait to come back to try their updated seasonal menus

A nice quiet spot to get some tea or boba, Stopped here when on a walk with my wife and had an excellent time. They only had one person working it seems like so it did take a little time to get our drinks. But the drink quality was very good! Hopefully they will be able to find more staff to help. Will come back if I am ever in the area again!

The tea was strong but not very balanced. The boba pearls were also not soft or flavorful. The drink was way overpriced and quite small. Definitely not worth it, it's like a whitewashed version of boba that doesn't taste as good.

A few things... The aesthetic at the Pearl location is clean and calming. It's bright white interior is chic and the smell of tea fills the shop. So nice and plenty of space to set up for remote work or connect privately. The staff are super gracious and prepared to answer questions. I also appreciate little things like the mason jars and biodegradable straws etc. Now the tea options are amazing! There are a bunch of simple and more high end options. I'm on a Matcha Boba kick and loved that they had oat milk as well!

Delicious! The location on division has a wonderful staff and such yummy drinks. I love their oatmilk lavender matcha.

Tea Bar is--on the whole--very good. The drinks are great, the space is incredibly clean, and the staff is terrific. I've had several different drinks at this point, and all of them are really lovely. The "Root Beer" is my favorite. A sparkling tea beverage with ginger root is--I think--my ideal beverage. The fruit tea bobas are excellent, and they have a matcha-vanilla soft serve which also tastes great. The WiFi is solid, about 40mbps down. That's good to get work done (if that's your thing). There's several tables outside as well, though on Division it can be a little noisy sometimes. There's some out front and others on the side patio. All in all: a first-rate, reliable place.

The bee pollen matcha should be a regular menu item, it is simply fantastic! The service was amazing and the ambiance is truly comforting. The division branch of Tea Bar is the best!

I love bubble tea ever since being in Asia and I love it even more now that they're such a bigger variety coming back to the US in 2021...! The thing I like about this tea bars that they have a variety of spicy kicks to add to your drinks such as the chai Boba which I add a ginger instead of cardamom. I really love the flavors that they offer and it seems that Portland is giving a wide variety now since the K-pop boom or Asian influence in culture, thank God! Can't wait to see what other flavors they come out with next and I highly recommend trying the root beer float because it's a kick and it's different.

I always get my matcha boba here and I love how it's never too crowded so I get to have some space to do work and it isn't too loud. Love the open space and decor and I've always gotten great service here:)

I love this location. I absolutely love Tea Bar. The aesthetic in here is clean, simple and calming. It is super pricey so it's definitely a special treat and not a daily indulgence. They make high quality drinks and you can customize your order in so many ways. My experience has been positive at this one. Ordering ahead is. A great option if you're in a rush. I want to give acknowledgement to Gabby who made my drink today. She was kind, courteous and extremely helpful. She was busy making drinks when I walked in but she greeted me and she answered questions and gave recommendations while working on the current order. By the time I was ready to order I had picked out the perfect drink and a bottle of chai concentrate to bring home. I left Tea Bar thinking "Wow! that was such a great experience. She was so nice to talk to!". So thank you Gabby for making my day and a delicious Guava Matcha and me wanting to write this 5-Star review! Would also love to see a rewards program such as "Buy 10 get one Free". They do send discounts and promotional emails via square email signup on their register which I do like.

Love the jasmine milk tea. One of a few that actually makes the perfect balance of the milk and tea. I'm personally not a big fan of the boba, just because it's too chewy for me. Service was also great, went in really close to closing time but the guy helped me anyway.

A very clean, hipster boba/tea spot! This place is the ultimate mix of the hipster world and the boba/bubble tea world (lol!). Their ingredients taste really fresh and their drinks are made naturally to perfection--not too watery with just enough taste and sweetness. Personally, I'm just a milky tea kind of person so I really like their Thai Iced Tea and their Lavender Boba drinks. My friend got the Matcha Boba and asked to add vanilla to it and it was AMAZING! When COVID isn't keeping us from sitting in, I love coming here with a friend or two as the clean and modern vibe of this place makes it perfect to just hang out and chill! Also, if you like to make your own tea from time to time, they also sell lose-leaf tea as well as tapioca pearls. You can buy this in-store but also on their store online at iloveyousomatcha.com. COVID-19: During the pandemic they are open for pickup or delivery using Postmates so take advantage of whichever preference best suites what you are comfortable with right now.

Tea Bar is my favorite tea spot near my house. All the ingredients they use are high quality and the drinks always taste wonderful. Tea Bar also has some of the best tapioca in town, the texture is always spot on and makes the drink truly exceptional. My recommendation is the vanilla rose milk tea, or the strawberry matcha!

Really good vibes from this place. Cozy area to study and have a a boba. People were extremely nice, I forgot to clarify I wanted the drinks to go and they cooperated very well. The drinks were good, the Thai Tea is to die for, small issue was that the boba was a bit hard and crunchy, but this place was great.

A little pricey but totally worth it. The staff at this location are very friendly and inviting. There are a lot of boba tea offerings popping up these days and this is definitely one of the best. I can tell they invest in quality sourced ingredients and aim to perfect their craft. I am a huge fan of the vanilla rose boba and the matcha is very well done. They offer a lot of milk substitutes and unique drinks. I tried the layered guava matcha this past trip, which is a limited time order and it was delightful, it was not to sweet and very smooth and creamy.

No fresh bobas until 11am! Got the Hong Kong tea to go. It was refreshing and satisfied.

I've been in here a few times before, but holy moly! I went in yesterday and it was so clean!! The people were so kind and the tea was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the matcha boba with lavender :)

I came here on a weekday late afternoon, got their Thai boba with less boba, less sugar, no ice. It was definitely watered down. Service was friendly though and we sat at the tables outside but we came too close to closing so had to move. $6.25 is pricey for a drink, especially because it wasn't super great.

My favorite tea shop in PDX does not disappoint. On the pricey side, but great quality tea and beautiful interiors

I've been going to Tea Bar since their first location in the NE and am glad they opened this one because it's so much closer to home. All of the locations have the same minimalist set-up, which I love. The Division one, however, is a little louder as voices echo. If you need peace and quiet to study, I would not recommend this location. There also aren't that many outlets (I only saw one in the middle of two stools on one whole side of the establishment) so be sure to have plenty of charge on your laptop if you are planning to use it. It does get fairly busy so if you want a table to sit at, it may be hard to come by, but there is plenty of stool seating available. I would say I'm fairly picky with my boba and I don't really drink boba in Portland because I don't think anywhere makes it that well but the vanilla rose boba here is my favorite. Whenever I'm craving a cold drink and need a place to study, Tea Bar is the first place that comes to mind. The only thing stopping me from becoming a regular here is the $6 price point for the vanilla rose boba. Thank god I don't have any dietary restrictions because a milk alternative costs an extra $1. I just can't justify regularly spending $6 for a drink but every now and then is fine.

I've come here many times because it's clean and good to study or get some work done. However, this time will be the last time. I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk $6.50. They charge extra for alternative milk.($1.50) That's way too much lol they definitely need to redo costing and charging fair price. After working on my laptop for half an hour, I decided to get another drink. I stood at the counter for 5 mins so I decided to say hello to get somebody attention. One girl came out with just not so good attitude and the whole experience has turned upside down. ...bye to overpriced drinks and bad attitude -------- Updates after reading the response: I have owned a similar type of establishment. We only use organic ingredients and non synthetic. We only use coconut oil and almond & coconut flours for our baked goods. Let's just say that We only use the best. We only sweetened everything with coconut sugar. *** I can tell you that the drinks at Tea Bar is overpriced. *** I have been in the industry for over a decade and know all the wholesale price for organic ingredients.

Love the alternative milk options here and atmosphere is very relaxing. Great for quiet work or studying.

I love coffee but this matcha makes me want to switch! Beautiful space, friendly staff, a bit pricey (but what isn't right now). Will come back.

Not a fan of tea bar. I tried their soft serve, and it wasn't rich or creamy, just tastes like flavored water. The inside is very minimalistic and good for studying.

The place is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Really love the atmosphere. Large amount of selection and staff is very helpful with rcommendation

Ambience: minimalist with white walls and light wood accents Mint Majik drink with boba: it's like milk tea with a touch of smokey mint flavoring. Gorgeous color! Worth it for the Insta? Swirl soft serve of match and mint majik: worth trying once. Though the matcha was subtle and refreshing, I like my ice cream more creamy. And the mint majik tasted like a thin mint chocolate chip sorbet.

Tea wasn't too sweet so if you're looking for that, this is a spot to try. I got the Hong Kong style tea. It was strong and earthy. The boba were nice and I believe made in-house. Counter service was friendly enough.

My original review mentioned no samples for the soft serve but am happy to say that they now do allow soft serve samples. However, this policy change wasn't made known to me the other times I'd been in as a customer so I had been reluctant to get their soft serve again. It looks like prices have increased so I will keep my review at 3.5 stars. Clean aesthetic and decent specialty flavors seasonally.

This place is so minimalistic and seems like a great place to study in. It's very clean, spacious, and brightly lit with huge windows! It smells like honey lavender in here - I guess that kinda gives a relaxing feel to it. Limited milk tea selections. I shouldn't have expected much. I ordered their Hong Kong Style Milk Tea and that's exactly what it tasted like, except it didn't have that overly sweet taste of condensed milk. $5 for milk tea in a jar? Ehhhh. When you've had boba in the Bay Area.. nothing can really compare tbh.

They've got a hot chai tea with boba that is beyond good. The cardamom chai is so amazingly delicious. But I also love cardamom. The ginger chai is also good but be ready for that ginger to really give it a good strong spicy kick. A bit overpriced for tea so star removed for that reason. If it weren't so pricey, I'd probably end up going here 1x a week! Easily! But for now, it's just a yummy treat every now and again.

This is my favorite boba place! The tea is not overly sweet and the boba is fresh and soft. I even bought their matcha powder so I can make it at home. But the nice people at tea bar, as well as the modern vibe of the cafe, keep me going back in person as well. Would highly recommend this place.

3 stars based solely on flavor. I've tried two different teas -- jasmine milk tea & taro milk tea, & both were just okay. I thought they lacked a bit of flavor & were a bit watered down. Maybe I went on an off day, but I wasn't too impressed with the teas. Not to mention, they ran out of boba, so that was pretty disappointing as well. It's also a bit pricey imo, especially compared to other boba places. Other than that, the staff is super friendly & nice. The interior is really cute, spacious, bright (lots of natural lighting), and clean. I do love the design & atmosphere of the store, but the teas just didn't cut it. I may try it one more time to see if I just hit some off days...
