A Campus Corner institution blending Taiwanese-style drinks with Chinese-American rice and noodle plates. Featured by the OU Daily and backed by an up-to-date house site, it’s where students and alumni return for fried rice and boba. Great place right by campus. The food portion sizes are really big and prices were not that expensive. You can definitely split one of the rice orders. It's really easy to order. You can use one of the kiosks or go up to the counter. They have a TV to let you know when your order is ready or they will call out your name. The restaurant was clean, and the bathrooms were clean as well.

Google
Easy ordering, great service, and it is much more than tea. A full menu, pics included, and truly the best Chicken Fried Rice on the planet. Fried wonton was as tasty as a first kiss of your dream girl/boy+. Well, not really, but you get the point. It’s really good stuff.

Google
I love this place. I got the stir fry rice flat noodles this time with beef, it was amazing. The portions are huge, the food is great. My wife got a chocolate shake and she was super happy with that as well. Service was quick, and the quality and quantity were amazing!

Google
Good food, not expensive, the rice box works well for me.

Google
Took family last night(Friday) very warm in building that should have been my sign to turn around and leave . The sweet and sour chicken was well over cooked and was like a kid portion we also ordered the orange chicken and the chicken was undercooked and gross both came with cabbage and it was cold very gross then the eggs rolls (size of a tootsie roll) had no flavor. NOT our first time here but might be the last!!!!!!

I have been taking my family to Tea Cafe for years and years. The owner is the sweetest and is always welcoming. She loves on our babies and brings them extra soup even when they’re loud and messy. Thank you for treating us like family.

Located on campus corner, the Tea Cafe on the Corner is a charming little cafe that exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. My favorite things to order are the wontons and the Japanese seafood udon! As soon as you enter the cafe, you are greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly brewed tea, which immediately sets the mood for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The cafe offers a wide selection of teas, from traditional green and black teas to more exotic blends such as jasmine, oolong, and chai. Each tea is brewed to perfection, and you can taste the quality in every sip. The staff is knowledgeable about the various teas and is happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences. In addition to tea, the cafe also offers a variety of snacks and meals. The food is freshly prepared, and the ingredients are of high quality. The cafe's decor is simple yet elegant, with wooden tables and chairs and soft lighting that creates a cozy ambiance. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

I love this place. The milk teas are so yummy! The other drinks are wonderful as well. My go-to is the caramel milk tea. The fried rice is a very generous portion! You will not be disappointed going here.

Yelp
great food. great service. The restaurant is a nice cozy vibe with great portions and for a good price.

Yelp
Go to spot when around campus! The portions are large and we always have some left overs!

Yelp
There's not a lot that I can eat at tea cafe. I tried their pho yesterday and there was just something about the taste that disappointed me.

Will B.

Yelp
Tea Cafe is one of the best spots in Norman! Great food, fast service, and big portions everytime!

Yelp
We were at a table prior to the OU v. Temple football game -- the first game of the 2024 season -- when Rita came to our table carrying an OU baseball cap.. She got my husband's attention and said: "You left this in a booth last season, so I saved it for you, because I knew you'd be back this year." What?!! I can't believe she remembered him and saved his hat! Mark said: "I remembered that I lost my hat, but I didn't know where!" Not only do they have great Asian food, but their kindness is great, too!"

Yelp
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tea Cafe! Every item on the menu is SO. DANG. GOOD. My favorite food is Chinese and this is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Back when Tea Cafe was located off Alameda, I used to go there at least 5 times a month when I was in High School and college. For my group of friends, Tea Cafe was our spot like the Central Perk Coffee Shop on Friends. Once I even ate here 3 times in one day. I can never get enough. There are several things I don't like about the restaurant especially now that's it's on campus. Nevertheless, the delicious taste of nostalgia outweighs the cons by far. I Instantly get hungry every time I think about Tea Cafe.

Yelp
Another great experience here. I grabbed the food to go. It was the Friday before a game so parking sucked. I placed my order online and was able to run in really quick and grab my food. This meal is like my favorite I have consistently gotten it the last few times I've been to cafe.

Corey W.

Yelp
I went to OU over a decade ago and I honestly have dreams about this place. I go every time I am back in town and now my husband and daughter love it too. I have never found a green apple green tea as good. I normally get their eel rice box, but the fried rice is also excellent. It's relatively self-serve now with kiosks for ordering and a water station, but everyone who works there is friendly and it is quiet enough for good conversation. I high recommend it.

Daniel C.

Yelp
Amazing Food and service the vibe of the restraunt was great and the food was delicious must have if visiting Norman.
google avatar

Nicolaus V.

Yelp
wonderful spot if you're in the mood for good food very quiet and simple establishment with easy order kiosks

Madison S.

Yelp
Sometimes the Yelp app doesn't give a notification when an order is ready, so go in at the estimated time and chances are, it is already done as they are very quick at preparation. They have delicious food here. I'm never disappointed.
google avatar

Shara B.

Yelp
Coconut boba green tea with a splash of non dairy milk - winner! Delicious meal and large servings.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Love eating here on the weekends! I usually come with a big group of people and they're able to serve us pretty fast
google avatar

Brittany E.

Yelp
Chicken fried rice can't be beat. My very favorites are peach black tea and, when they have it, watermelon juice
google avatar

Desirae N.

Yelp
I love that they offer gluten free options here. The gluten free fried rice is fricken YUMMY. I like to get it with chicken and I add vegetables to it. It's totally affordable and the portions are great. The lunch portion is just right for one meal but the regular portion is enough to two meals at least. The service is good too, I always enjoy walking in and being greeted by the staff there cause they're so kind and idk, they just feel like nice genuine people. I do think the inside could use a little bit of a remodel, it's awkwardly laid out and the furniture isn't super comfy but that's whatever. I'm there to eat so the good food makes up for it. My favorite drink to get here is the rose milk tea with black tea and regular boba. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Tea Cafe is a staple of Norman dining but, I personally think it is over hyped. I have eaten here many times and have never been impressed. The interior and food are both underwhelming. I would not go so far to say the food is bad but, there are many better Asian restaurants in the area that blow Tea Cafe out of the water. The ramen is average and the noodle dishes are too greasy. The boba is exceptional and worth trying however, I would skip having a meal here.
google avatar

Joseph B.

Yelp
Food is good enough that I eat here several times a month. My only dissatisfactions are the drink. Prices are ridiculously high, especially for ice tea and someone needs to stick around and teach the college kids how to be customer service oriented and have a better attitude.
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
The drinks are still good but the food and the customer service have fallen off. The pad Thai here used to be my favorite but now it just tastes like over cooked Kraft Mac& cheese with some sugar and peanut butter in it. It was literally too sweet to eat. I used my last few dollars to buy myself another soup so I could get some more food to fill me up and I complained about my food and they didn't even offer to at least give me the soup on the house which was honestly too salty too.

Lori S.

Yelp
Every time I visit my daughter at OU, we stop here. There food is so good and very flavorful. Love their teas. The service is great

Yelp
I don't care what anyone else thinks, Tea Cafe is so good and hits the spot for me each time I eat here. I remember that I always went here for lunch my freshman year in college and I never got tired of it. Here are a few things I get: Japanese Fried Tofu: order this and ask them to cut it into small pieces. It is fried just right and it taste well with the sauce. I also love the crunchy things that come with it. Rice box: you can pick any entree and it comes with either brown or white rice, fried cheese wonton or stew eggs, cabbage, eggroll, and the soup of the day. I like to eat brown rice and fried cheese wonton. The cabbage is really good, probably because it is cooked with garlic (YUM). I sometimes order extra of it. The eggroll is good and I like to dip that in the sweet and sour sauce you get with the rice box. For the soup of the day, you either get egg drop soup or hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup is by far my favorite and I cannot find any other replica of it. Hands down the best hot and sour soup IMO. The egg drop soup is okay. It taste like how egg drop soup should taste like Teriyaki tofu rice box: the tofu is somewhat cooked/fried (it's not the pure white tofu form) and the teriyaki sauce goes so well with the tofu. Kung pao chicken rice box: this is a spicier dish and is really good. I think it is crispy enough for me but sometimes you can order it to make it more crispy. This especially taste really good with brown rice. For me, the kick of it is just right. Tofu (or chicken) fried rice: their fried rice has a unique taste for me that I keep wanting to eat it nonstop. I can't quite explain it but I crave another bite after eating one bite. Their fried rice is a popular dish, so try it out. Beef (or tofu) flat noodles: this dish is pretty good as well but I don't order this often because I crave everything else above. This doesn't quite taste like your typical Chinese flat noodles but Tea Cafe brings out a different unique taste in it that makes it good. Shrimp scrambled eggs: this is made right. It's not undercooked and it's not over cooked. It is made right because it retain the "wateryness" of this dish that makes it really good to eat with white (or brown) rice. The sauce on it is really good as well! HB 1 Sauce (I think that's what it's called): if you want something light, this is the dish to get. It is majority vegetable dish and is very light. If you eat more on the saltier side, this dish may not be for you because the taste is more bland. I use to get the chocolate milk tea (sometime slush) with boba here. It was really good because it actually taste like chocolate and not so much tea. I've recently switched over to Almond milk tea (green tea) with boba because the taste is really good and addicting. I haven't had the same taste anywhere else. Green tea - this is a very light tea; however you can still taste the green tea in it. I've only had this once, so I'll have to try it again! I definitely would suggest to try out this place.

Yelp
It is a little crazy to me Tea Cafe only has three stars. I've been going here for a long time and the only reason I gave four is because wait time on food has seemed to slow down a little. This is rough on me as I only have an hour for my lunch. Other than that I love it here. I went here in high school when they were still over off 12th! I always get the lunch portion chicken fried rice and a passion fruit green tea - neither has ever been a disappointment. I've taken a few people who haven't tried it and they are always very pleased! On occasion, I will order a Vietnamese coffee as very few places in Norman have this on their menu! So yummy! I've heard they are possibly getting another one on the north side - hope this is true! You really are missing out.

Yelp
Singapore rice noodles are so incredibly good. I get two portions out of it, they make great leftovers! I also love the hazelnut milk tea with boba. I used to think I didn't like boba, too chemical-tasting for me, but it turns out I was just getting it at the wrong places! Tea Cafe is also super quick to get everything ready. I've never had to wait longer than anticipated! Their social distancing practices also rock, super easy to follow (take out only!) Sometimes it can be hard to park, or they run out of boba, but I have no real complaints! Such sweet employees as well.
google avatar

Sandy N.

Yelp
Best milk tea! Go try the almond milk tea w/ black tea or ross milk tea with black tea! Yum! Definitely the best. Food was okay in my opinions. I started out with the octopus balls! Pretty good. Comes in 8. Dip is sweet. I liked it. Had their flat rice noodle, fried rice, and 3 spice tofu! Out of the three, I enjoyed the 3 spice tofu the most! Yum. Definitely a good choice! Enjoy!

Yelp
I waited in this store for 20 minutes, and it was the worst decision I ever made. I spent hard earned money on this vile fried rice. I still have the disgusting taste in my mouth after a few hours of eating this. Dog food is better than this nonsense. Whoever made this fried rice should be fired, put in jail for food poisoning, and get their wages garnished by the IRS. I swear I will never go back here. Eating at this restaurant made me question existence. After eating here I decided that Oklahoma university is not the school for me because this restaurant is in a 10 mile radius form me when I'm at school. I've made the choice to transfer to osu, because of this restaurant and their horrible food. Thanks a lot.

Hunter C.

Yelp
It's been a while since my first visit but I ate here twice last week and they did not disappoint! The rice box meals are the perfect amount of food!
google avatar

Kam J.

Yelp
If your expectations are set appropriately, this is a great little spot for affordable Asian food and drink. Norman does not have much in the way of Chinese food, and while this place isn't strictly Chinese, the price:portion ratio is fabulous and the flavors and variety are great! In my opinion, the Yelp reviews are skewed lower than deserved. Located on Campus Corner, they are consistently busy (mostly college students), but there is a fair amount of seating should you have to wait. On our last visit, we ordered upon arrival and witnessed first-hand how efficiently the front counter worked through the steady flow of dine-in and carry-out. My husband ordered soup and I opted for the Rice Box (w/ modifications). When the kitchen wasn't sure about my special request, they came out to verify - most conscientious! We were both very satisfied with our food overall - only complaint was that I didn't get dipping sauce for my wonton/spring roll, but both still tasted great! We didn't get drinks this visit, but have had most of them over the years and they are tasty as well! While the interior has clearly seen a lot of traffic over time, the food remains delicious and we will keep coming back!
google avatar

Theresa T.

Yelp
I come here frequently for the almond black milk tea with boba! Their boba here is sweet and the perfect texture!! Unfortunately the milk tea can be inconsistent depending on who is making the drink. But for the majority of the time it's been great! Concerning the food, I always have to get the beef flat noodles and kung pao chicken with brown rice. Those were staples during my college days at OU. Sadly enough, the portion sizes have gotten much smaller and the flavor is not as robust. But it still fixes the cravings!
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
The only fried rice I like is at Tea Cafe--simple, straight-forward, and flavorful. No peas & carrots out of a can here--rice, eggs, sauce, and protein. You can add heat too. So amazing. Then the Hot and Sour Soup. The only bad thing is that it is only available 3 days a week. It is addictive. Again, it is simplicity and flavor. No scary, weird mushrooms for the fungi-phobic. The broth is rich and thick and I always want another bowl as soon as I'm finished. If I ever leave Norman, Tea Cafe will be in the Top 5 Places I will miss.
google avatar

Mohan I.

Yelp
Well it's been 10 years since I been here and the food is still the same old mouth watering and delicious. I see some comments about the service, but seriously the other better option is to just get the food to go. This is campus corner guys I still remember when I was in college my main aim was to finish college and make the money instead of making peanuts waiting tables. So shine some light to those who are still happy to serve you and also let's not forget that consistent good food will blind other imperfections . Cheers!

Yelp
I have loved Tea Cafe for years now. I came here frequently while I was in school and I still come each time I am back in Norman! The raspberry green tea with boba and the chicken fried rice has been my staple order for years - and they are still just as good! BUT the service is spotty. Today I had one guy who was so great! He was welcoming, engaging and kind. But then my waitress was hurried, short and unprofessional. There were plenty of open tables but I felt like I was inconveniencing here by just sitting there. I feel like just a quick lesson on customer service would easily make it 5 stars. And I love this place so that was hard to write!! P.S. The page needs to be updated: they actually do not have free wi-fi, which is a bummer.
google avatar

Linsay W.

Yelp
The foods they served in is just delicious! I usually get the Tea fried chicken rice box, the pork chop rice box ,popcorn chicken, chicken nuggets and their chef special fried rice. The classic milk tea with bobba is awesome! They're usually pretty busy so i dont expected to waiters to look after our table all the time. But they did pretty good job everytime we eat here, they make sure we get what we need. So it's definitely a 5 stars!
google avatar

Devin H.

Yelp
It's crazy Tea Caf doesn't have 5 stars on here, they're amazing and very reasonably priced for the portion size you get. The fried rice is the best I've probably ever had and it's so much you can always take have to go. Great boba tea too!
google avatar

Brittni B.

Yelp
I've eaten here SOOOOOO much and the food is delicious AND a bargain. The atmosphere is pretty quiet unless it's busy, which it often is. The portion sizes are large and the food very delicious! I've never had a complaint until the last two times when I ordered a certain side sauce and was given something different. The second time I caught it before I got home and waiting over ten minutes just for the correct sauce. This is after waiting fifteen minutes for my togo order so my food which I received fresh was just sitting next to me as I waited for the sauce. The workers are friendly but the system is flawed slightly. Overall a good experience, just recently there's been very minor issues.
google avatar

Emily N.

Yelp
I visited Tea Cafe one day for lunch and a tofu dish. I was disappointed by the lack of flavor. However, the menu has a lot of options and I will return to try other things. The reason I am giving it a 3 star review is because I waited 30 minutes to get the check alone. There was not enough staff for the lunch hour and the staff there did not pay much attention. My table was waving at the waiter to get the bill with no avail. I will go back though.
google avatar

Kennedy G.

Yelp
I would travel just to eat tea cafe. The food is absolutely incredible here every single time.
google avatar

Meo H.

Yelp
More of 3.5 out of 5 Spacious place but can get busy around lunchtime. Service is quick & friendly! Good drinks, I usually get milk teas. Their food is good, but not to say the best. Hits the spot for when I'm craving for Asian food on campus. I usually get the bento box and it comes with cabbage, eggroll or stewed egg, rice, soup, and your choice of protein (i.e, Kung Pao Chk, Katsu, etc.)
google avatar

Mindy G.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Norman! They have such a great selection of food & teas. I'm never disappointed when I eat here!
google avatar

Jerdan D.

Yelp
I absolutely love the food here. The service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. The last time I was there, I timed it, it took 28 minutes to even be brought water. Then finally asked what I would like to drink. Another 20 minutes later was finally asked what I would like to eat. Mind you there was only one other table in the restaurant. I could see the employees huddled together just chatting, made eye contact with me several times before ever checking on the table. The food is 5 star but the service is a 1.
google avatar

Shawn G.

Yelp
The East Asian (TEA) Cafe was one of the first places to offer boba tea in the area. Their teas are really great and have a good selection of flavors and boba to choose from. Their bento boxes are pretty good and are a good deal for someone wanting a mix of several different items for their meal. Personally my favorite dish is the Singapore noodles. The noodles are very thin and served in a quite spicy sauce with your choice of meat. I think I'd probably categorize this place as pan-Asian cuisine with an American twist. It's quite good.

Erin B.

Yelp
Used to love this place but most recently got food poisoning from their orange chicken dish. It was so bad I had to go to the hospital for it. Meat is cheap and obviously wasn't cooked properly or had bacteria. Stay clear.
google avatar

A K.

Yelp
This is another one of my Norman faves. I try to go every time I visit Norman. They have delicious bubble tea! They have a decent selection of flavors. And they have a variety of add ins as well. I like their original location, but I prefer the campus corner location.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
The atmosphere and wait staff are pleasant and welcoming, but the food is very poor quality. It is obvious they use frozen, pre-prepared foods and microwaves to heat, even "steam" it - nothing tasted fresh. For example, my "fried" tofu was not at all crispy as one would imagine, and it was room-temperature on the outside, piping hot on the inside! All of the vegetables tasted exactly like those horrible frozen veggies Mom used for hurried dinners - bland, soggy, and void of any nutrition. What's the point in going out to eat if you could experience the same low-quality for half the price via a frozen dinner? Perhaps this place is only worth a visit for its beverages...
google avatar

G. C.

Yelp
Gosh, I love Tea Cafe! If you go, be sure to try the boba tea - it's different but really great, in my opinion. This is not authentic East Asian food. It's more of an American-Asian fusion... which works! Rice boxes give you a good sampling of the menu. I definitely recommend Tea Cafe.
google avatar

Adrienne B.

Yelp
I go here all the time! It's so close to campus and my tea is always perfect. It's a pleasant place to sit down and eat or just to grab some boba. I'm not a huge fan of the food but it's pretty cheap and good enough. The best part is definitely the tea.

Josh R.

Yelp
I tried tea cafe a while back and didn't love it, but decided to give it a go when Kyler Murray mentioned it in his Heisman speech. Maybe I got the wrong thing last time because I love it now. I could eat the chicken fried rice until I burst. Wish they had online ordering. Definitely a top favorite for me in Norman
google avatar

Shelly T.

Yelp
I used to always love tea cafe. But this time they charged me for extra sweet and sour sauce (which I think is ridiculous to begin with) and then didn't even give it to me in my to go order. Spring rolls weren't as good as usual. I always love the fried rice but it irritates me to be charged extra for something I don't even get.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
awful. I got the shrimp and eggs and the shrimp was not cooked...it was still grey. thy offered to remake it, but we had to leave by that point. it took longer to get our team then it did for our food, 30 mins for the tea.... and then the smoothie was awful. the ice was in big chunks. the bubble.tea was ok, pretty standard. there was trash in my finances water cup when they brought it out. we will not be returning.
google avatar

Jacob F.

Yelp
The waiters are extremely inattentive, and when I asked for the wifi password they said they don't give it out to customers anymore... the food is just meh and the hot tea is served in a to go cup even if you are eating in. been here three times, three bad experiences... strikeout

Hailey H.

Yelp
Loved their specialty drinks but they started getting inconsistent in quality. Started getting float milk teas instead which were awesom . Now they haven't had any heavy whipping cream in over a week. Leaves a lot to be desired of this place when you go several times a week for one item and they STILL havent restocked.
